Note: I'll NPC characters like Hada and Zuura on my Akvan reply. Feel free to do the same in whoever you reply with. After one reply, I'll initiate the pain, sound good?
Akvan was beginning to wonder, after a few days, how exactly Shinda would bring him back. Last time it had cost Shinda a whole body to do so, so the Sun child didn't know what to look out for. Whilst waiting, Akvan had done what he'd wanted to do. With a hastily prepared new set of legs, he managed to meet everyone he wanted to. Go to Gensho and talk to his brother, spend a good deal of time joking around or reminiscing, to boost the Kyuban's spirit. And then the Mun clan, seeing his sisters and Zuura, and even performing for the clan again. He was glad that the Clan was unharmed, and had no need for the war. They went about business like the world wasn't burning around them, Zuura had made sure everyone there was as relaxed and safe as they'd be on any other day. And it inspired Akvan a bit, made him more level headed in how he should view the fights with Shinda. Perhaps he might try to have Zuura be his influence, visibly enjoy the fight and see how annoyed it made Shinda. With all the distractions around him, Akvan almost didn't pick up Shinda's message. He'd sent it in Akvan's sleep, in one of the nightmares that had become regular for the Sun child, sending Akvan images of the archway in the swamp, and a much stronger Shinda waiting just on the other side. It had been tough to tell everyone he had to go, but at least this time, Akvan got the chance to tell everyone of the situation, and not leave such responsibility on the shoulders of Chester and Nanari. Not only had he told everyone he was going back, but a small group of them decided to come along to the swamp. Seeing Akvan off as he went to fight, it felt strangely reassuring. Akvan looked into the archway, wondering if it was just open for him to walk into now, or if he'd have to wait for another sign. Whilst waiting, he felt a hand hit down on his shoulder.
"Looks inviting." Zuura commented, merrily admiring the half broken archway. "I hate mr. Shinda for making Akvan ugly, but he does have good taste." Zuura added. Akvan exhaled sharp, shaking his head silently. Zuura giggled, ruffling Akvan's hair. "Wish I could come along and watch Akky make him go squish, but I'll just have to imagine it in my head, and prepare a celebration for you when you get back. Oooh, we could have pie, and fish, and carrots, and apples, and loooots of punch... and-" "Zuura," Akvan barged in, knowing his friend could go on forever if they let him. Akvan looked to the clan leader with his good eye, "Thanks, f-for looking after the clan, a-and I'm sure the party w-will be great, I'll make sure to get b-back and see it." Akvan replied, beginning to smile before feeling Zuura squeeze him in a deadly hug. "You'd better... or I'd be real mad." Zuura muttered, before releasing Akvan and moving back a little. Akvan could have sworn he saw Zuura without a smile on his face for a second, but he couldn't be sure. Hada came round to hug Akvan next, choking him as much as Zuura did. "Still got Joyeux right?" Hada asked. Akvan nodded, tapping the sword hilt. His sister smiled. "Good, don't you dare lose him, alright? And come back safe, try not to lose another eye." She ordered, giving Akvan another short hug before moving away. Too long a good-bye would just make it harder, Akvan got that. He smiled to Hada, that boisterous little Fairy he'd adopted as a sister so long ago, before looking to the others, ready to expect any more farewells.

Note: I'll NPC Nanari and Labari in this thread. And yeahh, sounds good.....
Chester obviously didn't want Akvan to leave again, and did let out a few tears when he announced it was time. But at least he got more time here then last time, and plenty of rest despite the nightmares. It gave her reassurance that he would be okay in there, and at least this time, a small group were able to go and say goodbye at the gates. Chester ignored the commotion around her for a while, mind wheeling over memories of the last time she was here, and how everything went downhill. It wasn't until Nanari placed a comforting hand on her shoulder, did Chester break free from whatever place she was in, hearing the last of what Hada had to say. "Yes Akvan, don't go losing another eye, it will take all the fun out of sticking my tongue at you." Chester wasn't going to let this goodbye be in tears, she was going to laugh and joke, knowing that he would come back. Nanari went up and gave Akvan a hug after Hada, Chester could see how tight she was squeezing him, kissing Akvan on the cheek. "Stay safe, and don't come back too injured, I don't know how many more scares like that I can take." Chester remembered how Nanari was the last time, once Akvan slept again, she hadn't had an issue in years, but after the extent of the war and what happened to Akvan, Nanari feel into that panic again, Akvan never knew, but Chester spent hours bringing Nanari back. Labari was quick to take Nanari's place, ruffling Akvan's hair and giving him a kiss on the cheek, smiling softly. "Zuura is very overbearing when your not around to calm the idiot down, I swear to it he spoke for three days straight at one point, don't leave us too long to deal with that again." Chester gave a chuckle, trust Labari to not even tell him to be safe, knowing he would be, though Chester suspected that she had already said her bye in private, she was like that. Chester went up last, bringing her husband into a tight hug and laving a lingering kiss to his lips. "I don't have to tell you to be safe, because I damn know it wont be easy, nor can I tell you to not get hurt and suck. And I know you will be careful, so I'm not going to make a huge fuss. Just try and get back sooner this time yeah? I'll always be waiting, just try not to make me wait too long, and hey, if you ever need us, but cant get to us, wait here, and we will find you, you and I both know I will stop at nothing to make sure you live, regardless on what anyone does."

Akvan smiled, Hada's joke rubbed off on the others, and it was comforting to hear Chester seemed relaxed as she joked as well. He was sure she only did so to make the leaving easier, but it was still appreciated. He sighed, "B-b-believe me, I want t-to keep this other eye. I-it's already a pain b-bumping into everything." Akvan replied, joining in the happier mood. He'd thankfully got used to seeing only half of his vision quickly, confident it wouldn't effect his fight too much with Shinda. Because he knew the Demon, and he knew Shinda would use any weakness against Akvan. Nanari met him next, and Akvan gave her a tight hug. He winced slightly. "I'll t-try my b-best." He muttered. The last thing Akvan ever wanted was to come to Nanari half dead. Sure, it was hard to avoid when fighting Shinda, but the Sun child felt bad each time. He knew Nanari had troubles sometimes, she could panic easily when faced with horrible injuries, and Akvan had been determined throughout the eighteen years of being in her debt not to make her panic like that. Akvan moved onto his sister, Labari had said plenty of good-bye's earlier, and like Hada had done the last fight, it made Akvan feel a lot more confident. He was glad to have his sisters, two once partners in battle, now family that Akvan wouldn't ever let go. "I've t-tried to e-entertain him as much a-as possible w-with the time I h-had. Sorry." Akvan replied, amused by Zuura's antics. He obviously felt bad for leaving the clan for so long. But, Zuura being Zuura, Akvan knew he'd keep the group upbeat and happy with his funny personality. It was one thing that reassured Akvan as he prepared to leave. With Chester's turn, Akvan had half the mind to not let her go, give him a reason to stay here and ignore Shinda. He kissed her back, trying to remember the feeling, after almost losing that memory last year. "Nothing will s-stop me f-from trying to get b-back. And I-I promised t-t-to live f-for you, d-didn't I?" Akvan asked, giving Chester another, softer kiss, keeping his lips close afterwards. "And h-hey. I-I know it might n-not h-have worked l-last time. B-but, we s-s-shouldn't give up. W-when I'm b-back, we s-should try a-and have th-that family w-we wanted, r-right?" Akvan asked quietly, keeping the suggestion to only himself and Chester.
He didn't want to let go or leave, but Akvan knew the consequences, they troubled him in his sleep and in his mind all the time. So he eventually let go of Chester, walking a few steps towards the archway. It still didn't look like it was working, though Akvan thought perhaps it didn't look open, but still was, and all he'd need to do was walk through. A few steps, and it would be back to hell to fight, Akvan thought, sighing to himself. He'd turn to give the others a last good-bye, just for the sake of closure. But, that was the point all things seemed to stop. As he'd glanced back, something snapped. It was like the strings holding him up, and all the ones keeping his body together just broke simultaneously. Akvan's head felt bloated and heavy, all he could focus on was his own confusion as the sudden exhaustion that almost made him keel over. That confusion lasted a few seconds, before the Sun child spat out blood, and rather than feeling bloated, Akvan's whole being seemed to cramp up. He'd lost feeling in his arms and legs, and his chest felt like it had ruptured open, exploding over and over again in waves of pain. He tried to suck in breath, when he wasn't coughing up blood, to focus. But all of that breath was used instead to cry out in confused suffering. Akvan had fallen down to his knees, one numb arm clenching onto his shirt. He couldn't think, let alone comprehend what was going on. The pain was like nothing else, like shattered glass was right now, moving around his blood stream and cutting everything it touched. His heart felt shattered, unable to operate properly and causing Akvan to have an attack. His eye still worked, enough to see the blurred images of the others. They could help stop this, by whatever means. Akvan needed to get words out, rather than pain-riddled cries. His voice was broken, but he managed to mutter one word. "H..help." The Sun child muttered. The words came out, and not moments after, Akvan's field of vision was covered by a red mist, one he recognised, but in his state, couldn't do anything about. The Oblivia magic wrapped itself around him, dragging Akvan into Purgatory with nothing else but that terrifying last moment left for the others to remember.

Chester knew what he promised, that's why she didn't fear as much as she once did about him going back. Because at the end of the day, she knew he would stay alive for her, to make his way back, even if he was knocking on deaths door trying to beg Onrah to let him in... Because god knows if he joined him too early. Smiling into the second kiss, before tensing up a little at what he mentioned, Chester let herself relax, giving a light chuckle. It still hurt, knowing she lost her baby once, but if Akvan had confidence to later try again, then so would she about being able to keep them safe this time. "I'm going to hold you to that... I want twelve kids, six of each gender, and if more then one gain your stutter, well I might not pretend to hate it as much." She had to joke about it, show Akvan she meant it, and that she wasn't afraid to try again, she really did want that family, even if she would be content to just have Akvan back home and safe permanently. Holding onto Akvan for a little longer, Chester reluctantly let him go, briefly wondering what Shinda would do if she never did let go, before watching his back as he headed over to the archway. Before her eyes widened in panic at Akvan's sudden pain and panic. She, as well as the others were frozen in shock for a few moments, before his broken mutter reached her ears. Snapping out of the panic, Chester run over, eyes frantic as the red mist covered Akvan. "AKVAN!" Chester reached him just as he disappeared, hands skimming each others as she watched him fade in pain. There was no way he could fight like that. Throwing a rock through the archway, Chester balled her hands in fists. "GIVE HIM BACK YOU BASTARD, ITS NOT FAIR. GIVE HIM MORE TIME. SHINDA." Chester felt the other restrain her as she screamed, Nanari's soft voice in her ear, and Labari's hold. "Shhh, calm down, Chester please. This isn't going to help." Chester refused, going as far to exhaust herself into sleep, slumping against whoever was holding her, the last thing she heard being that last thing she ever wanted. "In answer to your question Hada, what caused this must have been related to his Sun tear. He fine a moment ago, and not even this Shinda could case so many problems in a blink of an eye."

It was all good, to be able to leave a fight. Be found by a friend, have their support, and be cared for. Have one's injuries healed and tended to, have the comfort of a loved one, the food and gifts of friends and family. Support, companionship. Shinda's eyes glared at himself, his reflection in a pool of water, slowly turning red with his blood. The blood from the many wounds Akvan had given him in their last fight. He'd tried to tend to them, but Shinda was no healer, his magic was the only thing that would work, the red magic could only burn the wounds shut. And Shinda tired of the pain, simply letting his injuries bleed and clot themselves. His reflection looked so weak, and so petty. Shinda hated looking at himself, and for thousands of long years he'd not known why. Now, with the sliced skin littering his body, and the image of seeing Akvan get such kind treatment from those he knew, Shinda realised why he hated his reflection. Because that's all it was. Just Shinda. Angry, evil Shinda who killed everyone who'd ever cared for him. Sacrificing his own life for the sake of making the world better for everyone, and yet being punished for doing so. Being trapped in this hell for so long, no one to look to, to share his reflection. Shinda's voice purred, and he felt something other than blood dribble down his face. He saw it in his reflection, that lone tear. The Devil lifted a hand to wiped it away, before staring back at himself. "Stop crying like a fucking baby." He ordered himself, "This... is what you deserved, it's what happens when you try to do good." Shinda cleared his throat, looking at his dark red claws. "You became the embodiment of evil, so that everyone can learn to be your opposite. This is what you wanted... so.. stop feeling fucking sorry for yourself." Shinda ordered again, this time bringing himself to his feet. The injuries hurt a lot, to move cost him a lot of energy, but Shinda wouldn't let it stop him.
Shinda wandered around Purgatory for a few days, resting up and sleeping off the wounds. He'd located Akvan, saw him in the Mun clan, around friends, and looking well. It made Shinda sick, seeing all the hope around that group of mixed bloods and misfits. Akvan carried too much hope in fact, making everyone believe in him, and in a better world. Like they knew what kind of world they wanted. Shinda walked right up to Akvan, knowing his enemy couldn't see him or hear him, growling as he watched the Sun child interact with the others. So many gleamed just to talk to him. "You've got a lot of followers, Sun shit. Friends..." Shinda drifted off, glancing to the floor. "Friends huh? Maybe I should get some of those myself." Shinda muttered, leaving the Sun child to his crappy talk and flying off elsewhere. Shinda had a plan now. He'd calmed down, dried his eyes and locked those feelings away once again, as usual. But, he couldn't suppress his anger. Not at just Akvan anymore, but those close to him, that helped the Sun child heal and feel better. They carried his hope, and it was too bright and sickening for Shinda to want around for long. He needed to destroy every trace of their hope, so that they realised that little Sun they followed and believed in wasn't as bright as they'd thought. He'd healed, but Shinda wasn't powerful enough to do what he wanted to do. Opening a portal into his realm of Purgatory took immense power. After a few more days, Shinda located it, and where he'd found the power made him chuckle with perfection. It really was perfect. And this was the very reason Shinda created Kyubans. He located the perfect doll, Akvan's brother, Gensho. And in the mist of the God of Night's fight, Shinda took control of him, like he'd lifted the strings on his precious puppet, and all of Gensho's self-control vanished. Shinda told him to go find the strongest soul possible, watching gleefully from Purgatory as his instructions took the Demon up into Dranar. To the last standing Sun tear, that could only belong to one person.
Shinda left it up to Gensho, returning down to the swamp and archway, after sending Akvan's mind a few messages to return there. The sight was too perfect, everyone so sweetly giving their saviour their good luck and farewells, not knowing what horror they'd forever remember in a few moments. Shinda knew when the deed had been done, because his body almost overflowed with the power his Kyuban had so kindly stolen for him. All of Akvan's power, cocooned up in that Sun tear was absorbed by his own brother, that then flowed into Shinda. He felt stronger than ever, chaotically laughing into the silent abyss of Purgatory as Shinda watched Akvan break down in pain. Shinda smirked, before clicking his hands, setting Oblivia magic off to do the next task. "Destruam obiectantque educet me amicum." He muttered in ancient language, asking Oblivia to call out to someone else, someone Shinda could sense, was also suffering a long time in Purgatory. The red magic opened another gateway, this time made of pure red mist. Shinda looked through it, smirking to the one waiting on the other side. "You asked for my power once. Time to return the favour, bitch." Shinda growled. He waited for her to undoubtedly join him in his realm of Purgatory, before paying attention to Akvan. "We have work to do, a toy to fucking break." Shinda stated to the woman, before lifting a hand forwards. Oblivia set forwards towards, and through the archway, a giant red claw that wrapped itself around Akvan, before Shinda pulled it back, along with the suffering Sun child. He didn't let go of Akvan. For he wasn't bringing him here to fight. The arm of Oblivia carried on flying back, finally letting go of Akvan as it smashed him against the side of a stone wall, part of the swamp ruins. He glanced to his new companion, gesturing to Akvan and offering her the first go. Shinda slowly turned to watch, planning on stretching out the Sun child's pain for as long as possible. Because Shinda wasn't going to fight Akvan. No, this wasn't a battle, it was a mutilation.

Itami only survived eighteen years of hell knowing one day Shinda would call upon her, so that she could grab revenge and repay back the debt she once opened up with him. The years she spent here weren't all in vain though, Itami got to watch the most intimate of moments, to see how to break each and every person who once dared to defy her, she cared not for Exitium's defeat, his rule serving long, but destined to end long before it began, by his own creation that destroyed even her. And despite how she hate watching those she once knew grow happy and good, Itami knew exactly how to bring them back down. Smirking as Shinda appeared in front of her, the whole you owe me speech prepared, Itami gave a huff of laughter. "No need for the names, I'm all up for helping." Itami wouldn't make a spectacle of it all, she would just roll into things naturally, and it was so much more fun knowing who they would be breaking. Calling upon her sins, glad to finally have fun with this again, Itami sent Pride to fling Akvan as far as he could, seeing that he wouldn't be able to do much to defend himself, before looking to Shinda, she knew he would want to kill the other, and was happy to just break Akvan when asked.

It was hard to focus on anything, other than the panic, the pain. Akvan wasn't even sure he was alive, not until he felt the crushing feeling against his side. He was slammed hard against a wall, and it was accompanied with a sickening snap. Along with the overflowing pain of his heart erupting, and his body debating on whether to break apart or not, Akvan now felt the agony of whatever had just broken. He couldn't tell, nothing was clear right now. Not where he was, not what just happened to bring him into this weak, dying state, nor the person now standing next to Shinda. Akvan had landed hard, more pain added to the dragging list, but he'd landed in a position to see the two looking over to him. Shinda, stronger than ever, leaking with the power he'd stolen from Akvan, and then a woman. It took a few good seconds to know who she was. As he continued to grip onto his shirt, the burning pain in Akvan's chest refusing to calm down, his eyes opened as wide as they could when he saw the familiar spirit appear. A sin, and there was only one with that magic, she'd taken it to her grave, not after using it to torture a young Akvan in the past, however. With Pride rushing at him, Akvan tried to move, only to feel nothing respond. He was too exhausted to move, he assumed, only a second before Pride gripped down hard onto the Sun Child, lifting Akvan up and throwing him again. Another hard landing, more things broken and more damage done. On the ground this time, unable to use his voice due to injury, Akvan realised something was very wrong. More than just the flaring heart attack, Akvan physically couldn't move, or feel his legs. And his arms couldn't move either. His weak, and drowned mind recalled that snap earlier, all hope draining as Akvan knew what had broken. Shinda had predicted this, aimed for it probably. Not only was the heart attacks making Akvan incapacitated, but the Devil had broken the Sun child's back as well, making it impossible to do anything anymore. Akvan's magic was stolen, and now his mobility was also gone. Akvan breathed as much as he could, chest barely rising as he was locked into a panic. He tried to see where Shinda and Itami were, dreading their plans. Shinda was going to kill him, right here. The promise Akvan had made, he couldn't even try to make sure it was kept. And his eyes watered, not from pain, but from fear that he was going to disappear here, leave them all behind, knowing he could do nothing. Akvan's breathing spiked, feeling the last of his energy break down. He might not even make it to being killed by Shinda and Itami. The Devil had shattered and stolen his soul, so Akvan felt like he was already taking his last breaths.

Note: This thread is very MATURE in terms of gore from now on, you've been warned.
What evil Shinda was committing. He felt like this was different. Seeing his enemy, a strong Sun child that had almost defeated him, as a bloody rag-doll, thrown around by Itami's sin made Shinda almost uncomfortable. It felt a little like a shame to being doing this. But, he remembered what it was for. This was sending a message. Not for Akvan, for those who associated with him. That, they didn't have hope, Shinda was taking that away from them with the war, and with destroying their close friend and more right here in Purgatory. He needed them to lose hope, this was all for a cause. Akvan's suffering was for a cause, Shinda had to remind himself. Comforting himself with that thought, he watched Itami play a little bit, smirking as he watched the toy being thrown away. "A little warm up is fine. Just make to bring us a little more entertainment later, bitch. We have plenty of time to break this fucker apart, and I want a work of art ready to show all the shits that care for our friend here to see." Shinda stated, before walking slowly over to Akvan. He could see life draining in the poor shit's eyes already, which Shinda wasn't going to allow. He crouched down, roughly grabbing the Sun child to lift Akvan up to eye level. "You're not off the fucking hook yet, Sun shit, there's no sleeping for you, I'm afraid." Shinda growled, before staring into Akvan's eyes. He sent Oblivia magic into his copy's purple eyes, letting the magic do it's thing. It would prevent Akvan from dying, sleeping or passing out. They could bleed him dry and he'd be forced to remain alive, trapped with that pain. This magic would work perfectly at making sure to scar Akvan, as well as all the others, when he was eventually given back to them. Shinda dropped the toy, glancing to Itami. "Now we have a piece of shit, with a broken back, no energy, who's unable to die or pass out on us. Sounds like a fucking feast, doesn't it?" Shinda asked, clasping his hands together. He'd let Itami have a turn, now it was Shinda's. And he'd not had a chance to truly hurt someone like this in a while, so the Devil was trying to think of the best ways to enjoy the most out of it. Shinda hummed. "Where to start... perhaps I could remove that other eye for you?" Shinda suggested first, placing one of his claws dangerously close to Akvan's last good eye, now coated in a red shine as Shinda's magic forced it to remain open. Shinda pulled his talon away, willing to prove that he was telling the truth about their toy's condition. So he decided to first, dig his claw right into the left side of Akvan's chest, where a heart would be. It caused a pressure burst of blood to come out, but no matter how drained their toy was, he still wouldn't die. Shinda sat down, chuckling as he watched the blood drop from his claw. "I've been thinking back a lot. Did you know, bitch, that the Sun shit here, was going to be a father at one point?" Shinda asked, as if beginning causal conversation after punching a hole in Akvan's heart. "They lost the brat, but it almost fucking happened. And I don't know about you, bitch, but I don't want more little Sun shit's running around, messing up my work on the shitty world." Shinda paused, humming to himself. He smirked to Itami. "I want to get rid of that fucking risk. So, feel free to distract our friend here, the Sun shit is probably getting bored, so whilst I change something, do whatever you want, bitch." Shinda instructed finally, leaving Itami to do whatever she wanted to their currently, forced immortal friend, whilst Shinda got up and moved to Akvan's feet. He needed to remove the risk of Akvan having a family, it failed once, but no doubt he'd try again. He would, unless Shinda made sure there was never going to be a chance for the Sun child to have a family. Not of his own blood anyway. Shinda had never castrated someone before, of course it wasn't exactly common to do. So his work wasn't clean, but the job was still done. The Devil silently finished his job, moving back to where Itami was to see what kind of fun she'd had so far.

Note: ^ What she said above in notes.
Itami watched with fascination at the power Shinda had, perhaps her plans were wrong all these years ago, and she should have been finding a way to free Shinda long before. A mistake she isn't afraid to admit, and one she wished she had the chance to change, but as she cannot, helping Shinda out now wasn't a terrible plan, and knowing she got the chance to break Akvan without fear of him dying until Shinda wished for it was so much better. Oh, the things she had planned. Smirking to Shinda as he moved, only having hummed to everything he said earlier, Itami gave a chuckle. "You should bring his little bitch of a wife over here then, he will break beyond compare if you even lay a finger on her." Now, Itami knew about the baby, having watched and despised the loving factor they had when it was discovered, and contemplated all the happy things to Chester's puny little tears when they lost the child. Leaning down to Akvan's throat, Itami held up her hand with a dangerously sharpened nail, before bringing it down and pushing it right into the hollow of his throat, watching in glee has the finger pushed in, covering in a thick red. "I knew he was to be a father, and Chester's tears over losing the child was music to my ears. Did you know she didn't sleep for weeks, nightmares taking hold, believing it was all her fault? How she came so close to stabbing a knife through her stomach, mumbling how she didn't deserve children if she couldn't even protect an unborn baby... It was a beautiful sight." Itami knew how o break Akvan, and while Shinda was enjoying breaking his body, Itami was much more suited to be breaking his mind. Removing the hand from his throat, Itami wiped off the blood on his clothing, before standing and bringing her foot down onto his ribcage hard, breaking just a few bones. Looking to Shinda as he moved, Itami took a breath in. "Ever heard of the Blood Eagle execution? If its true nothing will kill Akvan, you might find the process highly enjoyable to play with."
Extra Note: This is what a Blood Eagle Execution consists of (its a Viking thing) "They caused the bloody eagle to be carved on the back of the victim, and they cut away all of the ribs from the spine, and then they ripped out his lungs."

To have the chance of dying taken never felt so horrible. Akvan was close to dying, a sliver away from the edge, and Shinda had forced him back into life. He'd torn that chance away. Part of Akvan thought it was alright, to live meant he'd not be breaking a promise. But, he wasn't going to exactly live. Shinda didn't want to preserve Akvan's life so much as he wanted to insure the Sun child's constant, rolling waves of pain didn't ever end whilst he and Itami had fun. Akvan's eyes were forced open, he couldn't close them even if he wanted to. And his vision was glazed over in red, mind forced to remain active, pain senses too. This kind of artificial, temporary immortality was painful to bare. His body was shutting down, heart stopping and chest finding it harder and harder to rise. And yet, it did nothing to ease off the pain or Akvan's consciousness. He could do nothing to avoid what was going on. This was the perfect trap set by Shinda, and the most ideal condition for torture. Even with a hole punched into his heart, Akvan didn't feel any closer to death. All he felt was the cold cutting of blood overflowing from the organ, dampening his clothes in crimson. No doubt there would be a patch of clothing left on him that wasn't painted red when Itami and Shinda finished. If they even planned on finishing. Though his back was broken, heart was destroyed and his whole world felt warped in nothing but suffering, Akvan still managed to react to Itami's suggestion. The Oblivia glazed eyes moved to glare at her, voice wheezing back to life. "You... w-w-won't t...t-touch h..er." He mumbled, surprising himself that his voice even still worked. Seconds later, Akvan's voice really was broken. Itami poked a hole into Akvan's throat, filling another part of him with blood that would... should kill him. He'd truly been distracted from what Shinda did, only realising it too late that Shinda had casually, and quickly ended the chances of Akvan's wish for family to come true. The thought of losing that was painful enough for the Sun child to beg for death. But Itami had taken away his ability to speak, all Akvan could do was mumble nothing, throat and mouth bubbling and overflowing with blood as he was hopeless to do anything now, even die.

Note: Feel free to assume Shinda's snapped all ribs for your reply. (not a sentence I thought I'd ever say)
Shinda listened to the suggestion, and Akvan's little remark. Which was also the last thing he'd be able to say. But Shinda was rather serious as he shook his head. "No, I'm not going to harm his little bitch." Shinda replied simply, pausing before glancing towards Itami. "If she was able to feel even a fucking ounce of the pain Sun shit is, then she'll better, like she's 'helping' to distract us, or that she'll get to join the Sun shit in death. So no, they'll both get to suffer, then we give them back their fucking friend here." Shinda stated, giving his reason. He'd not even thought, or considered harming Chester throughout all of his plans. It was all aimed at Akvan. A small part of him didn't want to have the love of his enemy involved, for his own personal reasons and memories, but Shinda of course denied them. Shinda smirked when Itami talked about how Chester felt losing the baby, and how Itami was only speaking to hurt Akvan more. Shinda acted well, chuckling along maliciously to Itami's description of it all. When frankly, the thought of losing a child not yet born was close to a part of Shinda he refused to show, a pain to his heart that he'd refused to feel again. Fortunately his ally gave him the distraction of a perfect idea for Akvan. It would certainly turn him into a image perfect for making sure the others knew how hopeless things were. "So long as the head isn't removed, or any major organs taken away, he'll continue fucking living through it." Shinda replied, before putting his own clawed foot over their toy. He was pretty broken now, in all sorts of ways. Now it was time to do more than harm Akvan, but his followers to, with a nice display. Shinda's sharp foot stuck into Akvan, rolling him over. After that, the Devil knelt down, cutting away the clothing on the Sun child's back. His skin already showed scars from the past. Received in battle, including the large one over his stomach. That was a good one, Shinda recalled watching the whole event at the Tower from Exitium's mind. It was enjoyable, but not as much as this would be. Tired of being overly... civilised about it all, Shinda decided to do the rest with his jaw. A thing naturally built for breaking bone and ripping up skin. And Shinda had almost forgotten the taste of blood, reminding himself of meals he'd had when living, whilst eating into Akvan's back to eventually expose the ribs. Mouth now covered in blood and more, Shinda looked up to Itami with a smirk. "I'll do the... dirty part, then feel free to do whatever you fucking want to, pierce the lungs, stuff shit in there." Shinda suggested, licking his lips. "I plan to make it impossible to heal, like those fucking followers like to do. Just heal all of my good work, all I do to break this Sun shit, they heal. So, if he's so broken they can't do so as quickly... all the more fucking horror and hopelessness for them." Shinda explained, before lowering a claw to the first rib, hearing it snap deliciously, along with whatever noise Akvan could even make at this point, which wasn't much.

It was a shame no major organ could be removed, Itami had plans for that. But never mind, she would find other ways to have her fun, after the enjoyment of watching this happen to Akvan of course. It was also a shame Shinda refused to bring Chester over, if Akvan watched her be tortured, it really would kill him on the inside, because Itami had every intention on letting Chester live. Watching with a sickening glee as Itami heard Akvan's ribs be snapped, she began planning out how to make his lungs suffer without removing them. Obvious choice would to just pierce them, and stuff with the dirt on the ground, but that was far too simple... She had a much more, satisfactory method, even if she wished to be able to do that dirty work. "Don't break him too obviously though. If you make it do that they have hope to heal him, and make sure a hidden surprise gets in their way, you get to watch as that hope shatters... And trust me, that is so much sweeter then any hopelessness straight off the bat." Waiting until Shinda was done, Itami moved around and picked up Akvan's left hand, slipping his wedding ring off his finger with a chuckle, now, what she had planned at first, hasn't got anything to do with his lungs, but it was oh so much sweeter. "Oh Akvan, you should never had said your heart beats for your wife, in whatever sickly sweet context you might have used." Sitting on her knees, Itami took her finger nail, and made a cut into his uncovered heart, once moving the lungs a little out the way, and inserting the ring inside, before moving back and working on the lungs. Cutting them open and stuffing whatever she could into them. Dirt from the ground, Breaking off bones and letting the sharp points have their way, whatever she could find, before standing and looking to Shinda once more. "My, doesn't he look like a work of art?"

Shinda cut the rib bones separate from the spine, taking no care in what he did. If one looked more broken than another, Shinda didn't care. All he could think of was counting how many hours, days, it would take them to fix Akvan this time. If it was possible to fix this anymore. Knowing that it didn't matter what they did after this, the damage done was enough to destroy the hope, energy and light of those Shinda hated, made him purr with glee as he continued. There wasn't much emotion left on Akvan's face. He didn't have the blood supply to move anymore, even though with his back so crushed it would be impossible to do anyway. His expression was forced into one of constant pain, so much that it quickly became the Sun child's natural look. The eyes were still forced wide open, and looked up to Shinda when he glanced down. He'd left Itami to have her go, after pulling and snapping the ribs, keeping himself busy watching Akvan's eyes. The only things still living, though forced to do so by magic. They looked more terrified than ever, warped by one single emotion that Shinda knew wouldn't ever be healed. The Devil hoped they'd be able to keep some things from healing. Their toy's mental health was forever damaged now, and Shinda was amusing himself counting what other things wouldn't heal. He cooed, laughing to himself as Itami spoke. "I want them hopeless, exhausted and as broken as him. This war is supposed to break those shits, but they're too fucking stubborn. This should do the trick... Itami." Shinda replied, finally using the bitch's name after feeling she'd earned his respect. Especially with her next trick. So wicked it got a audible response from the Sun child, a throaty groan as Akvan tried to struggle against Itami taking the ring. Shinda watched Itami's work, taking inspiration from it. He took the sword from Akvan's belt, holding Joyeux carefully in his claws. This sword had hurt Shinda in many ways. Scarring him in the past, taking a friend, and it had almost been his doom in the hands of this weak Sun shit. So Shinda made sure he felt no remorse when he snapped the sword in half, shattering the blade. The hilt was indestructible, but the steel blade wasn't. And the blade was what Shinda wanted. The small, sharp pieces of sword were all collected, some given over to Itami, as the Devil smirked to her. "Just some finishing touches." He growled, before taking the smaller pieces and stuffing them around any part of flesh he could. The largest piece Shinda kept a hold of. He shuffled over to Akvan's head, forcing it up and taking the blade across his forehead. He carved the word 'Broken' onto his head, soon covered in blood, but the words remained obvious, and a reminder Shinda wanted everyone to see later on. After using the piece of blade, Shinda chuckled, violently shoving it into Akvan's old stomach wound after it's purpose was fulfilled.

Itami smirked at the use of her name, it seemed she wasn't as excluded as she thought, and made her really hate not freeing Shinda instead all those years ago. By no use dwindling on the past, it was the future, and Shinda most certainly was winning his fight. Itami knew how stubborn those idiots could be, and couldn't wait to see them broken, but she knew how to do that, and breaking Akvan so they didn't believe him to be fixable would just make them work harder to do so, but however Shinda wanted to do things, she would follow. Itami happily took that shards, not caring if they cut into her skin, placing a few to the side for later use, and keeping the sharpest for use. She had the same plan as Shinda for that use, but a different wording, one that she knew would be much worse... Broken means one is fixable, what she is to write, wouldn't be that simple. Leaning down once Shinda was done, Itami took his arm and began to write on it, and then the other, and then his legs, proceeding to get as much as his body left as she could, each similar phrase enough to heal at different intervals, but the one of his arm, enough that it never will, a simple phrase. Shinda's property. Itami knew it would hurt the most, will remind him of everything that's happened here, those words forever scarred into his skin, for not just him but Chester and the others to see as well, the reminder that no matter what, Akvan will never escape what happened here. Dropping the shard next to him, she turned to Shinda. "I'm done with him, for now." Itami knew he would be back, and they can have more fun then.

Itami joined in, writing all over their toy's body. At one point, the cuts into his skin stopped granting them blood. Shinda, whilst Itami was having the last of her fun, inspected Akvan's condition. The wound on his heart, the first one that Shinda's punctured, had drained Akvan almost completely dry. His blood was replaced with Oblivia magic, which would keep him alive, keep his brain activity going, whilst the rest of his body was completely dead. Shinda wondered how that must feel, what kind of pain and nightmare that put someone through. He showed no care though, checking on the Sun child's eyes to make sure they were still locked open with red magic. Shinda had noticed something other than blood fall down Akvan's face, a stream of tears. Shinda didn't know at what point they started, but they still continued to fall, pitiless, hopeless things. Shinda ignored them, letting nothing change his cold and evil heart, he was far to into this mutilation to regret. Once Itami was done, Shinda turned to admire her work, stretching his legs out to stand at his full height for a view of their combined work. He allowed a smile to reach his face, and Shinda nodded to his companion. "Fucking perfection. And just the right time to return him, and give those shits a lesson." Shinda growled, grabbing one of Akvan's arms. He glanced down at the words Itami wrote on the arm, chuckling in amusement, before dragging the Sun child back towards the archway. The fight was so short, and yet so beautifully sweet for Shinda. He felt satisfied, wondering how long he should give the others to fix Akvan before demanding him back for more. A tough decision. He wanted Akvan to at least be able to move again, and support his own life without Oblivia. But he also wanted him as fragile as glass. Shinda would think on it, and watch in delight as the others tried desperately to fix their friend, planning his perfect timing with his new comrade, Itami. Shinda had Oblivia magic to spare, thanks to the 'gift' Akvan gave him earlier, and so wanted to add some salt to the wound. He couldn't step out of Purgatory, so gripping Akvan with a hand made of Oblivia, Shinda reached the lifeless Sun child out of the gateway, turning and hanging him on the archway, just outside the portal. Then, making sure the others would return, and not keep Shinda and Itami waiting in anticipation, Shinda sent some magic into the sky, to cause a few fireworks of blood red, distinct magic. He'd sent them a message, come on down to the archway, and see the gift Shinda had left them hanging up to dry.
