A night spent away from the parties of Sora and Minato. That was rare indeed for Gensho. He'd reason to today, none of his usual partying playmates were up for drinking and dancing the night away, and Gensho didn't like doing it alone. Not even Akvan or Onrah were available tonight, supposedly they were doing their 'jobs'. Gensho sat high in the thick trees of Rycora, head hidden away in his hat as he watched the night sky go by. The moon looked fabulous tonight, a glowing orb governed by Gensho. He'd always imagined what would happen if he spread rumors of a second all realm God. They had the Sun Goddess, watching over the day, so how hard could it be to convince people of the Moon God? Gensho believed in the moon, if no one else did. Why not? In this magical world, anything was possible. Gensho was about to close his eyes, when what looked like a brown towel flew passed his head. The God looked around, confused at first, before spotting the cloud of bats. Gensho held out a gloved hand, and almost instantly, a bat hooked it's twiggy legs on to his wrist. Bats were the Night God's messenger, just like people of the day used birds. Stroking the little furry creatures head, Gensho lifted the little bat to get a better look at him. "Shall you be my company tonight, little friend? After my little brother very rudely abandoned me... how is Akvan anyway?" Gensho asked, pulling the hanging bat close to his ear.
After hearing the bat's piece, Gensho chuckled slightly. "So, he has himself a lady friend? How wondrous, what's she like?" Gensho moved to listen again, before a howl rustled through the forest. The bat flew off in a skittish cry and flap of wings, and Gensho was left to look for the source of the howl. His eyesight was heightened at night, and like an owl, Gensho looked at every movement below on the forest floor. Wolves moved through the leaves, sniffing out sleeping day creatures to get an easy snack. One wolf looked up to Gensho, it's eyes reflecting with a purple glow against the moon. The canines of the night didn't dare cause trouble near Gensho. They didn't adore the God of Night, but knew that their nocturnal hunting was controlled by the Demon. Gensho sighed, leaving the wolves to their business as he returned his gaze to the sky. It was nice to hear that Akvan was doing better, perhaps things were getting better for all the Demons.

Chester wasn't in the best of moods tonight. The meeting she was forced to go to, went on for three hours longer than originally planned. Itami had made it hell for her, and for once Rurushu wasn't around to keep the peace between the two, so she had an older brother to 'beat up' later on when she next saw him. If that wasn't bad enough, she was now forced to walk home in the forest alone, at night, with a pack of wolves admittedly on her tail almost, with a broken heel. So, yeah, not exactly the best of days. Taking a small climb up a nearby tree, to keep enough distance away from the forest floor, Chester took a rest to clear her head. Things were tense nowadays, especially after meeting Akvan. Her family knew something was up by how happy she was... and yet she could tell them nothing, she did not wish to put Akvan in anymore danger than he was already in. Leaning her head against the trunk, she closed her eyes, breathing in the air of her homeland, a smell she could never truly place.
Chester began to wonder why things were not simpler, but again came up blank, it was not an easy question to answer after all, and dwelling on such a thing would not end well... Not for her anyways. Realising that she would not make it home tonight, especially when hearing the wolf cry a little far below, she began to climb the tree a little further up so she could star gaze the night away... She would not be able to sleep, even if she wanted to. It took her by surprise when she made it to the top, and in contact with another... It wasn't everyday such an occurrence came to be. "Mind if I join you?"

It was such a dull thing to Gensho that most liked to sleep during the night. Life under the sparkling night sky was so much more interesting than the boring day life. Gensho had no idea why most people felt the urge to doze through such fun time, and it sometimes made Gensho feel unwanted. Although it took a lot to bring the God of Night down. Gensho removed his hat to feel the soft felted sides, humming a tune to himself. Something seemed to rile up the wolves below, probably a woken rabbit or something. Gensho chuckled to himself, before continuing to hum, eyes closing as he almost drifted off. It made the Demon smile. What a hypocrite, almost falling asleep on duty when he hated others sleeping at this time. But something jolted Gensho alert before he could snooze off. He pulled himself to a sitting position, twisting around on the tree branch to look towards the voice.
"Good Evening madam," Gensho answered with a bow of his head, "this tree is not reserved only for my use, so please feel free to stay up here. I doubt the wolves down there are better company." The Demon wasn't even careful in talking to this Human. He was probably the most extroverted of the Demons, he didn't care if others knew he was a Demon, nor if they discovered he was a God. It wasn't like Gensho was entirely evil anyway, he made things dark for twelve hours, hardly something to hold a grudge against for even the most aggressive Human. So Gensho sat with his wings and tail waving slowly in the breeze, smiling sweetly to the young lady. "What is the name of my night's companion?"

Chester wasn't surprised to see it was a Demon, and even without knowing who it was at this moment she felt safe... Well besides the wolves down below, but she didn't care for such a trivial thing. "Well, I had to make sure you didn't mind the company." She chuckled, already knowing she was likely to get along with this Demon. "Chester. And may I know yours?" She couldn't help but think she knew who he was, probably another Itami is always talking about. The thought of Itami and the night she just had all came rushing back, and she couldn't help but groan, but she was quick to move on, she wasn't going to allow her rotten night so far effect another's and perhaps this meeting would cheer her up a little bit. Taking a look at the stars also seemed to help, it wasn't often she got the chance to properly relax, as something always either came up or ruined the moment... "Its a beautiful night don't you think?"

Gensho chuckled, he liked this girl, she seemed to know her manners and respect for the Demon. Even if it had only been a short time since meeting, the Human girl didn't seem at all phased by Gensho's Demon features, or his funny way of speaking. The God's eyes glinted when he heard this girls name. Ah, so this was the lady friend, how funny to be able to meet her so soon like this. Before Gensho gave his name, Chester complimented the stars above them. Gensho smiled sweetly, placing a hand on his heart as he was truly moved, which wasn't all that hard to do to the God of Night. "Why thank you, I worked hard on tonight's sky, not many seem to appreciate the effort."
The Demon took his hat with him into another, larger bow. "I am Gensho, God of the Night." Gensho giggled slightly as he stepped of his branch to hover next to Chester's, closer so that he could talk face to face. The Demon gently took on of the lady's hands as his wings flapped to keep him steady. "You must be the lady friend I've heard tales about from my rebirth brother," Gensho then lightly kissed the hand, "I thank you dearly for your assistance in cheering up my shy turtle of a brother, it is nice to see Akvan come out of his shell."

So this was the Gensho, God of Night? No wonder Chester had heard of him, many Outlaws had spoke about him, surprisingly he was a rare one, not many of her family wished for his immediate harm. So meeting one as such was truly amazing. "The night is my favourite time of day. I like to imagine that the stars are dancing, creating its own form of life. But I don't get to enjoy watching such a wonder as much as I would like." Gensho was also the gentleman she was told he would be, and she couldn't help but chuckle when he kissed her hand. Though that moment was short lived when she heard that Akvan had spoken about her... And a bright blush made its way onto her cheeks. "Did he now? May I ask what sort of things? Oh and no need to thank me, I wanted to see him smile a bit more too, someone so wonderful shouldn't wear a frown after all." Chester was doing all in her power to rid of the blush that was heating her cheeks, but the more she tried, the worse it got, as all she could do was remember when she first met Akvan.

Gensho felt like his heart was to explode at the gracious comments of this young lady. The Demon pretend to faint in the air, only to do a little backflip before returning to Chester with a grin. "My my, you are the smooth talker! No wonder Akvan likes you." The God of Night felt it was tragic for this girl not to get to see as much of the night sky as she wanted, in fact, a tear seemed to form in the over-dramatic Demon's eye. "Dear Chester," He took her hand once more, "on my word, whenever you wish to view my night sky, you only need call, and I will make sure your eyes are truly feasted on such skies." Gensho was quite the talker himself, although that romantic mouth came completely natural to anyone Gensho talked to. The Demon giggled as Chester lit up like a tomato. He picked up his hat, placing it over the lady's small head to cover her face. "You are blushing bright red my dear, better cover it now before it attracts the moths." Gensho chuckled, wings flapping as the Demon hovered. "And Akvan told me about everything, not a whisper of gossip misses my ears. He told me about how you selflessly helped him recover his sword, though I'm not too certain how he lost such a precious weapon in the first place." Gensho frowned as his mind drew a blank, but he soon shrugged it off. Gensho found it absolutely adorable to think how much Chester seemed to care for dear brother's health just as much as Gensho did.

Chester burrowed deeper into the hat with every word spoken, and silently chucked, Gensho had a way with words, and was already fun to hang with. She would have to make sure they all hung out once, would probably be a night she never forgets. "Well, he helped me first too, im very thankful to him for that... Akvan.. Akvan is just amazing to say the least... As for the sword, a couple of his friends decided to throw it half across Sohul. But I guess in a way im thankful to them for that, they were the reason for meeting him in the first place." Chester chuckled at the memory as he exclaimed how they were trying to help him, it truly was sweet of them. "You wouldn't happen to know what friends im talking about would you?" Part of Chester really wanted to get them back for what they did, just like herself and Akvan spoke about, but at the same time she wanted to wait for him to be there too. I guess it was waiting to see if the right moment would come up.

"He did?" Gensho pondered. Funny, Akvan never mentioned helping Chester first, only that he'd found her in the forests near here and what happened from then. Oh well, maybe his silly brother didn't want to sound like the hero of the story or something funny like that. Gensho could have cried when Chester admitted what she thought of Akvan. This was a perfect opportunity for Gensho to finally make Akvan happy. He was sick, not in a mean way, of seeing his brother so upset all of the time. What Akvan needed was someone special to clean the wounds of his life, and it wasn't something Gensho or Onrah could give him. The Demon frowned when he heard that the sword was thrown away, from a couple of friends. That sounded familiar... didn't Akvan once yell at the God of Night and Onrah for not helping him find it? Gensho wasn't sure, he just remembered having an insane headache at the time. Gensho scratched his chin, he could picture a fuzzy memory of Akvan being angry, as Onrah threw something. Gensho clicked his fingers. "Oh yes! I happen to remember such a thing!" The God admitted, before awkwardly rubbing his head. "Why... funny story, but I believe that must have been mine and Onrah's doing. But can you blame us? Dear brother was so upset and scared that night, poor Akvan was being bullied by one of our sisters. So we thought we've give him something to do, to cheer him up. He met you thanks to our little prank, so that's something correct?"

"Oh yes, I managed to get caught on a large spider's web, and Akvan rotted away the webbing to help me down... I had been there for hours before hand, and I was sure if he didn't help me down, I would have been there for several hours more, or not at all." Chester couldn't work out the reason why Akvan didn't explain what he did, she thought it was sweet of him, especially how he at first attempted to keep his identity a secret, and using that power was a cause for some alarm to the average human. But she didn't dwell on such a though, she could always question him later.
Chester froze at the comment of their sister... It was obvious it was Itami.. So her plan had already been set in motion? She kept that hidden from everyone. Chester felt anger boil up inside of her, though she remained indifferent on the outside. She was beginning to hate what the Outlaws were doing, even if it was only because her new friend was involved... But she couldn't quit on them now could she? Couldn't betray them in such a way? "Like I said, im thankful to, well obviously yourself and Onrah, as I got to meet him... But, he wasn't the happiest with either of you at first... It could have killed someone, or ended up in the wrong hands... I believe Akvan would much rather have the company of his friends, then being taken on an adventure to find something of his." She couldn't help but remember what they spoke about with the attempt to help him, and she felt as if she needed to at least make sure such an occurrence was not repeated in the future.

Gensho felt like a proud parent, hearing the heroic tale of Akvan saving such a wonderful and kind damsel in distress. Gensho knew Akvan was too self-loathing to admit when he'd done nice things, and his brother accepted that. But it would nice for Gensho to sometimes have some examples to give to Akvan to bring him out of his moments of depression, examples of the God of Disease doing good things. At least, thanks to this darling Chester, Gensho had one example to help. The master of Night chuckled as he felt as if he was being scolded, he even pretended to act like a guilty child as Chester spoke, faking tears. Gensho quickly broke the act, nodding with a friendly smile. "I know, Onrah was rather reckless when throwing it so far, I thought he'd just bend it or something. Mind you, the pair of us were rather full of the nighttime beverage at that point... it was the reason we didn't assist in the finding of the sword the next day. And I suppose you're right, although on many an occasion have I offered to take a trip with my brother some place, but he keeps refusing the offer. Before he met you, my dear, that little Demon would refuse any form of company, claiming he didn't deserve such a simple luxury." Gensho allowed his flowery exterior to drop into a serious frown, and the Demon shook his head. "I know exactly what brings him down, and some days I feel as though I would trade many precious things to rid him of this duty, even take it upon myself if I wasn't already bound to the Night... but unfortunately our wondrous world of Dranar doesn't work like that, sometimes we must accept the obvious unfairness of life, even if it kills us inside." The God blinked, his face hurt when he wasn't smiling, and Gensho soon turned his frown upside-down. Smiling from ear to ear, Gensho gently pulled at Chester's face, lifting the skin so that she couldn't help but smile too. "But, none of that matters, we now have an extra, willing teammate in our Project Akvan."

Chester couldn't help but chuckle slightly, the story seemed to add up with what Akvan explained, but she still couldn't find a way to hate them... It was the reason behind meeting Akvan after all. "Well, we must all take a trip together at some point. And if dear Akvan refuses, let me know an I will drag I along... and that goes for any other time as well." Chester dropped her own smile at seeing the Demon frown. She did not wish for anyone to feel this way... I wasn't right, wasn't natural, and it broke her inside. "If I could... I myself would take at least some of the burden off him... Its not fair for him to feel that way, I just... Want him to be happy." She let a tear fall... Promising herself that she would do all in her power to make him have a general smile on his face for days. Chester gave a light chuckle and let her cheeks reach her ears when Gensho pulled a her face... There was no point in frowning after all. "Of course you do. I would do anything for Akvan. Just... Just so I know though, mind explaining to me exactly what gets him down... I have a basic idea but would like to know more... So that I can find a more effective way of helping him"

Gensho giggled, winking to Chester. "That just might work my dear, since Akvan sounds like he would do anything if it meant being around Chester." The Demon was the master of teasing, but he couldn't stop the giggles. Akvan would be exploding if he was here. Gensho felt moved at Chester's offer. If only it could be possible. Demon God's powers had rules to them. Even if Akvan's powers were taken, they wouldn't completely leave him without killing the poor Demon. But it would help, if they could ever be allowed to do so. Gensho smiled warmly all the same.
The Demon pulled back to think hard. There were some things Akvan didn't want anyone to know, things he'd done that not even Gensho deserved to hear, if the Demon didn't always demand Akvan to open up. Gensho smiled, although he didn't feel like it was real. "Akvan's job means that every sickness started from him, he controls the spread, the power or intensity. Who gets infected, who suffers and how much, and if they die or not. There was one occasion, the first time Akvan got hit by realizing what he did. He had created a disease, and would talk about it like it was some marvelous book. He'd explain to me how it worked, and how he felt somewhat proud with the complexity. But then, he watched as people, mostly young children, would suffer from his disease. They would die slowly and painfully, and the sickness got so bad, the poor sick would be killed before they could spread it to others. I couldn't find Akvan for weeks after a whole hospital was burnt down to prevent the spread, and I feared the worst. But he did return, and hasn't been the same since. He's always been... quiet, but something broke in him when he suddenly realized exactly how his job affected Humans, and hated himself for actually enjoying it for a moment." Gensho sighed, sometimes he honestly didn't know how to help Akvan. It wasn't like Gensho could compare their jobs. "I know we can never get him to fully accept himself, since there isn't anyone Akvan can hate in these worlds more than himself. But if we could get him to understand that hating isn't the only thing he can feel, then perhaps he might recover, even a little."

Chester listened and with each word felt worse and worse... Itami was going to use that, was going to make him cause something so much bigger than what changed him... And if this was the result of that... She would hate to think what would happen this time round, how she feared the worse. "I didn't even know it went that far down within him... I knew he hated his job but still, that was a little overwhelming." Chester could feel tears pouring down her face... She couldn't even comprehend everything told to her. "Im going to help him, I promise. I will make him see that there is far more to life... This, what he does... Its part of his job, it's not like he wants people to die because of him. So I promise to help, anytime you need me to help get him to loosen up and have fun im there, and I promise to make him feel something other than self hatred. He deserves it." Chester wasn't sure if she was talking to Gensho or herself anymore. But either way, she vowed to help Akvan, and make sure he smiled more and was happy. "Any ideas that may help me with this promise? I want to see him truly happy as soon as possible."

Gensho felt a little sick himself reciting all that he knew his brother felt. Akvan had never told Gensho personally how he felt, but the God of Night could always gather his own ideas from watching Akvan live in his highest and lowest moments. "It is what makes Akvan so unique. He's the only God around who hates his own job with such passion. And it isn't like Akvan acts much like a Demon either. He spends almost all his time in Sohul, because he claimed he doesn't feel as though he belongs in Dranar." Gensho admitted, hovering over the tree branch to finally land, letting his wings take a rest. Gensho smiled, properly. It felt saddening to see such a happy Human cry, but at least the tears were for Akvan's sake here. Gensho moved himself to hug the poor little Chester, patting her head comfortingly before moving to sit on the branch with unnatural balance. "Promises aren't something Demons go by Chester, but I understand the Human custom to them. So thank you, for a Demon, simple words and actions mean everything." Gensho thought on what Akvan liked, eventually remembering something. "Well, Akvan likes the Sun. Rather sore topic for me, but he prefers the day to the night. If you take him to a Sunrise, he seems happier, easier to convince away from hatred and more to happiness."
