A few days ago, Percy had come to consciousness right here. He'd felt the cold damp stone beneath him, almost assuming he was back in an alleyway somewhere. But, he looked up, saw the stripped light filtering through the barred window, and quickly figured out where he really was. A prison, that was somewhere Percy hadn't been before. But over the last few days he'd gotten accustomed to it. And by that, he meant the panic of being locked up slowly subsided until Percy was emotionless, and as pale and cold as the stone around him. His hands were joined together, cuffed in front of him. His wounds had been tended to, so at least they didn't cause him discomfort here. The silence did so, and in it, Percy heard those people scream. For once, not the people in his head that existed as memories, but the people he'd hurt that night, the one's he'd partly disintegrated using his magic.
Percy had never killed before. He'd never witnessed his powers take a life. Now he had, and he'd been sick numerous times just remembering it, remembering what they'd called him, oh how it fit so well. The prison was a quiet place, no one had visited yet, either because Baransu prison was hard to get a visitor's permit for, or because they didn't expect Percy to be there. Even the wardens barely visited, there was such a high caution on approaching Percy that his food was given to him when he was asleep, just in case. So it really was just silence, and it didn't help his mental state. Percy wanted alcohol, they only gave him so much water, which he'd turned into better drink, but it wasn't enough. So he just slumped against the bars, feeling their chill on his back, against skin that was almost as cold as them now.

"Listen up here you little shit bag, I could care less how 'dangerous' and 'unpredictable' your prisoner may be. Nor do I care if I need a permit or not, I am visiting my friend as your refusing to go through the process of getting me the permit... Now either willingly back off, or I will cause issues..." Nanari had been trying to get into the prison for the last two days, and the guards were still refusing to do anything, not even send a message, and she was tired of it... So plan B, threaten the guards, most were shrivelling, stuttering weasels that dint know a sword from a knife, but they still refused the 'innocent' girl entry, oh how that was about to change. "As I told you yesterday, I cannot allow visitors into-" In the blink of an eye, Nanari held the guards own sword to his throat, giving him a snarl. "Open the doors. NOW." Nanari no longer cared if she made a scene or not, as they finally realised it was beneficial to let her in. Walking down the long corridor of criminals and murderous didn't even put Nanari off seeing Percy. "Hey there cutie" "want to come over here and spend some time with the big boy?" Nanari just ignored it, head held high as the head guard unlocked the bars leading to Percy's room. "This is as far as I'm going, your own risk to go to the main doors, and I wont unlock them, you'll have to talk through the bars." Shrugging him off, Nanari entered, not even turning as he locked the bars behind her. And a few moments later, Nanari was looking towards Percy and letting the tears fall. "Oh Percy, what have they done to you?" Walking to the bars, Nanari held a hand in for him as comfort, not able to give much more due to the metal in the way.

Percy could almost forget there were even other prisoners here. He was kept in his very own segment of the prison, empty cells all around him, and no guards, not unless he needed food. He couldn't hear the yelling and gross banter of the other prisoners from here. It was silent, just so very silent. It reminded Percy that, he was alone here because they all feared him, and it made him smile sometimes, bitterly. They had every right to fear him, who wouldn't? Even Percy feared Percy. Percy had his eyes closed, to try and relax. He'd attempted to remember Nanari's method of calming the mind, but turns out that only seemed to work when there was actually noise to concentrate on, not just his own breathing. Percy sighed, feeling a tear fall, and almost violently wiping it away. About then, he heard a loud click of locks, surprised to think the guards were coming close whilst he was still awake. He heard a muffled voice, then the door close. Then more silence, Percy turned his head back around to face his cell, guessing they must have chickened out. Then there was a voice. Soft, feminine, very familiar. Percy's head shot up, turning around to see Nanari there, watching him like he was a stray dog locked up in the pound, with tears down her face. And like a skittish animal, he looked to her with fearful eyes. He didn't know what to say, what to do when Nanari offered a hand through the bars as comfort. He just stared, until finally using an unused voice. "Th.... there's a reason everyone's too scared to come here." He said, blinking, and feeling more tears of his own. He didn't want to give in to tears, but in this state it was impossible to fight them back. "I've hurt so many people, Nanari..." He added, shaking his head, lips trembling. "Tell me... what... what kind of Percy do you know now? Is he still.. innocent to you?" He asked, voice breaking near the end, and head just slumping against the hand offered to him.

Nanari refused to believe he was a monster, there was a perfect explanation for what he has done, and she would get to the bottom of it, and then do all she could to free him, even if it meant getting people involved. Crouching down so she was level with him, not even bothering to hide or wipe away her tears, she did her best to cradle him, using her thumb to stroke his cheek, giving a small smile. "That depends, did you purposefully kill those people? Or was in an accident with something more... Because I know you Percy, you wouldn't do this unless there was a reason for it, and even then you wouldn't have let innocents get hurt in the crossfire." Reaching her other hand in looking for his hand to hold, Nanari gave him a look. "I don't see a monster, I see my friend, my best friend... My L... I see Percy, I see the man who I introduced to my father of all people. I do not fear you, I never could. You could hold me by the throat with threats to kill me, and I wont fear you, because the Percy I know, wouldn't do that unless needed." Letting the last tears fall as they finally calmed down, Nanari had one thing to ask. "What happened that day Percy? Who hurt you? Please."

That was the thing: Percy couldn't remember if all that destruction had been an accident. He didn't mean to kill innocent, but the damage, it came from his anger. And Percy's anger had been intention when he ended Peter. So Percy couldn't reply to Nanari's question, only try and bury his head even more into her hand, sigh heavily as he tried to make the tears pass. Nanari brought them back of course, replying to him. How could she not fear him? Percy's head shook a little as her hand soothed his cheek, how could Nanari still trust Percy, knowing just what kind of things he could do? End people in an instant, summon otherworldly figures to fight for him, freeze and control time, and matter. How could anyone trust someone who wielded all of those things? Percy pulled his head up and away from Nanari's hand, looking away from her. Nanari was so lovely, and it was no wonder why Percy was... falling for her. But she was so hard, and so frustrating to try and understand. Especially why she still stubbornly trusted him so much. He glanced her way when she spoke again, and then to the floor. It was no use hiding the truth now. Angus sure wasn't getting any kindness from Percy anymore with secret keeping. "When we first had that day together, and when it ended, and you then saw me all beaten... It was Angus who beat me. He's jealous of me spending time with you." Percy began. "And threatened me to stay away, or else... spend more time in his 'company'. I... I didn't tell anyone, nor did I just ignore you. Because of it, for the last few weeks he's been attacking me regularly. But I got used to it, it was never much of a problem, just a lot of pain." Percy paused. "Then... that night. I found him and Peter, trying to do horrible things to a woman. I stopped them, and because of it, they tried to kill me. I managed to stop Angus, but Peter wanted to use me, so I... I just lost it. Then all those people, they died because of me." Percy explained fully, mouth snapped shut after that, stopping his breath from shuddering, and himself from crying, again.

Nanari could feel her anger rising, not at Percy, but at Angus. She knew he had a crush on her, but for him to go this far... To threaten girls in that way, to beat up Percy just because she was spending time with her... Oh god, Nanari felt the tears fall more, especially with the added feel of Percy turning away from her. She couldn't let him stay here, not for this, it wasn't his fault. "Oh Percy. I'm sorry, you dealing with that all because of me, I never wanted to cause you pain, not just because you spent time with me. You should have said something... And this, this was not your fault, self defence? Saving that woman from being... I can even say it. Its not your fault, its Peters, and Angus's, he should be in here, not you." Nanari could feel herself shaking, in both anger and tears, and when she was done here, Angus was getting a very painful visit from her. "Percy look at me..." Nanari waited, before she looked him in the eye and stretched her hand in as far as it could go. "You did not mean to kill those people, and I'm sorry you have to face this burden alone. I don't fear you Percy, never could, they may have died from your power, but not because of you. Its all just misfortunate mistakes. Please believe me..." Nanari knew she would also have to pay a visit to Blye, anything to get Percy out of here, it would be breaking a promise, but she would also be upholding one, one that she felt meant more to her then the other right now, seeing the state he is in.

Percy didn't blame Nanari at all, but her being so kind, he thought it was typical to hear the strain to her voice, the guilt she spoke of. But he didn't blame her, for what Angus did to him, or anything really. He blamed himself, for getting involved, for stirring on the anger Angus and Peter had used against him. Percy always spoke when he shouldn't, his heart would open up and try to be brave or heroic, whilst his mind just questioned why he did so, why he was naive enough to think it would work. Percy huffed, "I guess I felt bad for him at first. If I told you, or Delilah, about Angus, I knew it would break him more than my presence had. So I kept quiet about it. I'm good at keeping secrets like that." Percy sighed, rubbing at his eyes until the tears stopped now. Nanari spoke again, and Percy didn't want to, but with a sigh, turned his eyes towards Nanari's, seeing her hand, just watching it. One of his hands went to grasp it, but he soon gave up, chains clanking as Percy dropped his hand onto his lap. "A lot of what I do, happens by mistake. Everything about me is unfortunate, nothing I do is meant to be." Percy chuckled bitterly, he was getting annoyed now. Not at Nanari, she was trying, but at himself. "Do you know, I'm not supposed to exist? When the warden brought me in, he said that there was no trace of anyone living called Percival Ohere in the records. Even the last name didn't give him a clue, I guess everyone forgot my mother even lived after my father killed her. And even after doing so, I'm still somehow here, living, cheating at life... I remember you once told me everyone has their place in the world, a story to tell. I don't, the place I had ended before I was even supposed to be born, my living now... it's just a curse on this world." Percy sighed, shaking his head.
"I do believe you Nanari... but, I believe myself more." He muttered, as selfish a statement as it was, it remained true.

Nanari dropped her head as she listened to him speak, hating that he still thought this of himself, up until he mentioned he shouldn't exist, where her head snapped up so quick she's surprised she didn't break it. Opening and closing her mouth a few times, Nanari finally found something to say. "Percy, hearing that just backs up my statement about everyone having a place in the world. Your still here, if what you say is true, then you are here for a reason, still here to find it. So what if Percival Ohere isn't in official records... Percy, the alcoholic working in a pub, making friends with girls who blabber too much, refuses to speak about his parents simply because, who gets into fights, who protects innocent woman and get jailed for it... Percy exists, that's what you need to remember. So what if the prince within isn't there. Percy, my best friend, my pain in the ass best friend does. Cheating at life isn't this. Its living immortal for hundreds of years, of being kept alive from a four year coma, from being puppet to a mad man as he turns you into something that very well should have killed you... That's cheating death, not this, not living. Its not a curse Percy, because if you believe that, then obviously our time together has meant nothing and just a way of slowly killing me, because hearing you still hate on yourself really does on the inside." Nanari didn't know what more to say about it, how to make Percy believe her to the point in which she wanted.

There was never a pain to existing. Percy didn't know how much it hurt his mother to live on, but for him it seemed easy. But there was always just an off feeling to life. Like, life around him was beautiful, it was a canvas of amazing and inspiring art. He was just a cut out, placed over the top of something that he didn't belong in. It felt uncomfortable, to say the least, of course Percy got used to it though, he never got the chance to not grow used to things. Perhaps because he didn't complain much, only to Nanari, as a matter of fact. Something about her made him want to just open up, spill out what he had bubbled up inside, even knowing it might hurt her.
This was the burden, this was why Percy didn't want to keep Nanari around. But the stubborn, sweet girl stuck around anyway. And she was relentless in trying to make Percy see differently. See himself as a part of that painting, not just overlapping it. Percy sighed again, silent, saying nothing to all Nanari had said about him. But the chains moved, and one hand lifted to hold hers. "You know what I miss? Alcohol, it might just warm up this cold cell." Percy suddenly stated. Was he just sidestepping Nanari's words? Yes, absolutely. Because they were nice, inspiring, but precisely because of that, Percy didn't know what to say back, so said nothing at all, and pressed on. Nanari must be used to him jumping from topic to topic like this by now. "A nice bed would be great too... and some real food..." His hand squeezed Nanari's, "And company... this place just... it's so silent it hurts."

Nanari gave Percy a look, before letting things drop, she knew by now what he was like in switching the conversation, and knew he did so when he had nothing to counteract what she had to say, or had words which would hurt her in the end. And while him doing that infuriated her sometimes, she understood, and respected that choice. Nanari squeezed his hand back before smiling over and shifting as close as she could and made herself comfortable. "Well, the guards aren't really meant to let me in right now, so I definitely cant sneak you in any alcohol. I can try and bring in some pie for you? And I can definitely give you my company, I'll come and visit everyday, it wont be regular times, but it will be for a few hours everyday. Sound alright?" Nanari didn't want him to be alone, nor have Percy sit in silence so long. And while she could never give a set time on when she would be in, she would be in no shorter then three hours everyday for him. Even if she just sat there and read so he had the company around. "And I'll try my damn hardest to get you out, look into anything I can to make it work."

Percy happened to ignore the look Nanari gave him, instead, closing his eyes and smirking a little. Completely fake, because Percy wasn't in the mood to smile, and he didn't think he would be for a while now, but Percy was good at faking things. He sighed, blinking a few times, each time a little slower than the last. Sleep wasn't easy here, Percy would find none of it resting on the stone hard tablet they had in his cell, hanging from the walls by two rusted chains. But, he needed to sleep, otherwise the cowards of wardens wouldn't bring him any food when they thought it was safe. Percy huffed at the thought, before glancing to the side, seeing Nanari sit like he was, outside the bars, hand still holding his tightly. He chuckled, "Well, that all depends on what kind of pie we're talking about here." He replied somewhat brightly. But his smile- another forced one- soon dropped, and Percy sighed. "You don't need to do that." Percy muttered, brows lifting, eyes looking into Nanari's. He didn't want to take up her time, force her to come here each day. He didn't want to be a burden before, back when they'd become friends, and he certainly didn't want to be one now. Even so, as he said it, Percy's grip on Nanari's hand tightened a little, subconsciously contradicting his words. His eyes were on the floor again, "Don't." Percy said simply. "It's not nice here, I'll admit, it's bringing up some phobias I didn't know I had. But... it's what I deserve. Whether it was my fault or not, I killed people, Nanari. Some laws are stupid, but the one where murderers are locked away isn't one of them. I can't just cheat the laws that my fa... that the King has made."

Nanari knew the smiles were fake, but she was grateful for his attempt to seem okay, if only for her sake. Though she did give a little chuckle at the pie comment. "Any you want, I'll even cook it myself for you, fresh ingredients and everything." Her chuckled died down though, as she regarded him with a look of sadness at him once again thinking he was taking up her time. "Oh Percy... I know I don't have to. But I want to." She knew he wanted her to stay though, the hand tightening in a way begging her not to leave was enough, and she wasn't planning to, not until they physically came in here and kicked her out. Dropping her shoulders and trying not to cry again, Nanari shook her head. "You don't deserve this Percy. Everyone sent here meant to do what they did, you did not, there's no reason for you to be locked away from everyone else because of it. If it makes you feel better, yes I believe some for of punishment is needed for the accident... But not isolation or being here, not in this dogs trap." There were plenty of other ways to deal with this, going after Angus would be one of them, and finding the girl they cornered in a hope to testimony for him about saving her, it might at least help in some way, but she was probably scared right now, and hiding in shame. Nanari knew what that felt like.

He smirked, "Your cooking? Oh no," Percy began, shaking his head a little, "I've witnessed what you do, licking the spoon and all." He jested, giving Nanari a hand squeeze. All he wanted was her company, and he could barely stomach any food in his current state. He was sure a good enough pie would brighten his mood, but honestly with the phobia of this cold and silent place still haunting him, Percy didn't know how long he could keep it down. He sighed heavily, head leaning to the side, pressing hard into the cold bars between him and Nanari. "Then do what you want to do. I won't stop you, I can't stop you." He mumbled, trying to relax a little.
He had to sit up and look Nanari in the eyes when she still wanted to see another way around this. "You're an incredible person, do you know that?" Percy began, "It's honestly scary to be around you from just how... kind you are. But... Nanari, this is my purpose. What justice would there be, for the families separated because of me? For the people now struggling to live because I disintegrated parts of their bodies off? They need justice for what happened, they need reassurance, that it can't happen again. And I respect them for that. It's why, I refuse to leave, you know fully well I can get out of here, but I won't. I hate it, I hate it so much, but it wouldn't be a punishment if I enjoyed it here." Percy explained, head leaning back against the bars once more, tired.
"I was prepared for this to happen one day." Percy explained, "I knew one day, the world would see what horrible power I can wield, and this-" He lifted the manacles, "would be the result."

"Excuse me, who was the one walking around with flour in his hair?" Nanari knew that was her fault, and she only licked the spoon after the mixture was in the oven, but it was amusing, and she was grateful that Percy could have a laugh and joke, even as he was stuck here. Nanari also pressed closer, so that they were as close as possible, so that she could share what warmth she could and prove to him she was here as she held his hand tighter. Giving Percy a sad but amused smile, Nanari gave a small broken chuckle. "Even if you could, you wouldn't. I wouldn't let you, your stuck with me now Percy, no matter what happens." It was true, she wouldn't leave him now or ever, Percy carved a way into her heart, and now he was permanently there, be it he was around or not. Nanari dropper head and blushed a little at the compliment, even if it followed with something else, she understood what he meant, how he viewed this. But she knew there were other ways for him to get his punishment, other ways they could keep him here. Take him out of this feared isolation for a start, some men in here have done far worse then Percy, and yet they still have freedom to a certain extent. "Then at least let me try to convince them o take you out the manacles and into a less isolated place, to let me get you more blankets to help chase away the cold and force them to give me a permit so I'm actually allowed to be here.. Too much information that last part." She realised she never told him she wasn't suppose to be in here, oh well, sit wouldn't make a difference either way, she was coming back regardless. "And your powers aren't horrible, they are different and unique, just like everyone else's. They are the ones in the wrong to lock you away like an animal because of it.

It was half a real laugh when Nanari replied, mostly at remembering the day, baking with Nanari and getting to know her better. He had his eyes closed when she said she'd never leave, and it made the boy smile slightly. "Admit it... you just can't get enough of me." He muttered through the bars, knowing Nanari was closer now, feeling her breath mix with his own, add some stray warmth to the horrible chill there was here. He'd admit the only reason this prison looked so horrible was because Percy was terrifying to the others. They kept him far from the other prisoners, and guards, for the sake of their own safety. Because Percy was an un-registered existence that did a whole lot of damage, and could do so again, which they didn't want to risk getting caught up in. He supposed one of them would see a moral side to this eventually. They'd try to get some magic-cancelling manacles for him, then move him somewhere else that wasn't made from nightmares. He looked back into the cell as Nanari spoke, snorting at her comment on the permit part. It was obvious she'd forced her way in, and Percy didn't judge her for it, it was almost inspiring to know she went so far just for him. Slowly, he nodded his head, "Alright... if it helps you accept this, then I'd appreciate somewhere a little warmer, with some sort of noise. Anything." He mumbled.
"I could make you disappear Nanari. Not just kill you, but make it so you didn't exist. I can... I think, literally rip a hole through the world. All powers are unique, but.. some, like mine, aren't worth all the sacrifices they cause." He explained. He then went silent for a while, before his hand twitched, remembering that Nanari's was weaved into it. "Nanari..." Percy finally said, "I haven't said it yet... but, thank you." He muttered, moving a little, so he could lift her hand, and kiss one of the soft knuckles, letting it drop down with his own soon after.
