Note: After the events of This thread, Mizetto is found and taken to the Iwa clan.
That blast seemed to echo through Mizetto's ears even as he finally woke up. As the ringing faded, Mizetto opened his eyes a little, exposing them to a sudden light. It was night when he'd been struck, that was Mizetto's first clue. The next one made his eyes open fully, letting them sting at all the sudden brightness as Mizetto tried to move. He couldn't, trying to get up on his elbows was impossible right now, he couldn't feel anything of either arm. The Demon struggled some more, wriggling each stump of an arm in disbelief. "Easy there. Those wounds ain't sealed all too well." Came a voice. Funny, it had a similar accent to Mizetto's. The Demon stopped moving, trying to wriggled up a little to lift his head and rest it against the back of this bed he was lying on. Once he could see around the room properly, he instantly saw the man, in his mid-forties, standing to the side of the room. Mizetto tried to speak, but his voice never came out.
"You lost that durin' all the screamin'. We had to try an' clean the wounds as soon as possible, you didn't like it much." The man explained. Mizetto calmed a little, though he couldn't recalled waking up since being hit with the beam of light. "You're in the Iwa clan right now. Users of Earth magic... Heh, I can see that look on your face. No, we ain't goin' to hurt you. I know us clans don't like your kind much. But... there's a reason I brought you here, cleaned you up and all. I'm Maraz Senshi. You're Mizetto ain't you?" Maraz explained, pushing off the wall to walk closer, where Mizetto could see even more defined the man's golden hair and eyes. He couldn't talk, so Mizetto just nodded slowly. Maraz's eyes seemed to glisten for a bit, a hint of tears, perhaps overdue and relieved ones. "That's funny, because Mizetto was the name of my older brother, who died about.. thirty years back." Maraz added.
The room fell silent, Maraz seemed to wait for the news to settle in, or for any sign from Mizetto. "So.. we're family?" Mizetto finally asked back, his voice was raw, but quickly getting better. He refused to be mute when given this kind of news. Maraz chuckled a bit, perhaps glad to hear the Demon's voice, "Brothers. You were... are, my older brother. So.. naturally, I couldn't just leave you for dead. Although our clan has sworn our hatred towards Demons, for enslavin' us and killin' our children, family doesn't ever change. When some others found you, they brought you here, I almost couldn't believe it, seein' you again." Maraz stopped, smile quivering for a bit. "I've lost my wife, an' my little son. Seein' another Senshi again has made my life a little more whole again. Suppose that's the effect family has, huh? You can't ever forget 'em, no matter what happens."
Mizetto was smiling a little, but it soon dropped into a grimace. "Yeah, suppose you can't." He muttered, remembering everything now. Losing Ari, making sure the girls got away. He suddenly sucked in a breath. "Clue!" Mizetto said, turning to Maraz, "Was there a Wolvine with me? When you found me?" He asked quickly. Maraz's eyes dropped, his head shaking slowly. "It was too late to save him, by the time we got there." He admitted. Mizetto's eyes clamped shut, not daring to think about how Clue might have died, or that his friend was even gone to behind with. Trying to block the tears, Mizetto's eyes remained closed, but his ears still worked. "I remember that Wolvine. Timid thing that got left with us years ago. We... we lost 'im after a young Demon won him in a bet against one of us." Maraz explained, chuckling gently. "He was a good friend?" Maraz asked. Mizetto's eyes opened, red and sore as the tears dropped now. "He was the best."
Maraz sighed, "Well, I'm sorry for the loss... Listen, You're welcome here, but your not the only one." Mizetto turned to listen, as Maraz smiled, opening his arms a little, "The Iwa clan is always open for it's family, not matter what they are. Any with the Senshi blood are welcome in here. So.. if you got any new family out there, we can bring 'em here for you, where it's a whole lot safer than the world out there right now." Maraz explained. Mizetto's face lit up a little, shoulder's relaxing in relief. "I have two.. two little girls." He stated. Maraz seemed shocked for a moment, before scoffing, "So not only is my brother alive, but I'm an uncle too? Heh, this day got a lot better for this old dirt-mover." Maraz commented, before moving away a little, "I'll see to it that as soon as your better, we'll go and get 'em." He added. Mizetto nodded, "Thank you, and... Maraz, another favour." Mizetto began to ask, waiting until his brother turned to listen. The Demon's golden eyes turned a little more determined, "Could you bring me the clan's strongest stone?"
