Note: Oh gosh here I go...Talk about being open, Shinda never expected to admit so much to another like he'd done recently. The last person Shinda explained his deepest opinions to had been Iruka, and back then the Angel had rejected the Demon's opinions. This time was much different, Akvan didn't just accept them, he almost agreed to some. They'd spent as much time just talking casually as they had making every attempt at getting Shinda out of this hell. Shinda was starting to feel... comfortable, around the Sun child, and realising that made him all the more confused. Emotions that Shinda had locked away, assuming they'd only bring him pain, began to resurface, proving Shinda wrong about them. And, for the first time in a while, he'd smiled sincerely, when Akvan suggested the Demon got to see a bit more of the Living world before dying. It wouldn't hurt to remind himself what living was like before joining Sayo and the others. And Shinda felt himself smile a little more when thinking about it, being able to feel the breeze again, hear the sound of trees moving, life just pulsing with energy around him. Thinking about it, and how close it was now that he and Akvan was reaching a break-through, made Shinda all the more excited to finally get out. It him happy, and.. grateful, to Akvan. Did he consider the Sun child a friend now? Shinda was debating it with himself, and he wasn't immediately retracting his thoughts or feeling repulsed by the idea of considering the one-eyed copy of himself as an ally. Shinda thought on it some more, before feeling the air pulse around him. His head turned towards the swamps, the Demon taking to the skies to greet his ally. But Akvan almost fell through the gate, causing Shinda to lose his excitement, but increase in speed, quick to land next to the Sun child to hold him up. "Oi, Akvan!" Shinda called at him, making sure the guy was still awake. "The fuck happened?" Shinda muttered, before checking the wound. A burning slash across his friend's torso, burns recognisable as an Angelic sword's doing. Shinda growled a little, "An Angel attacked you, huh? Didn't I fucking tell you? Those so called righteous beings are the biggest problem for the Living world. Demanding to be the fucking highest and worshipped as such. I bet that King of their's attacked you, didn't he? Fuck knows why, Angels just attack whatever they want... We.. you should go back to those healers of yours... Tenshi, she'll heal you right? Akvan?"

Shinda's previous methods on Akvan made him pretty numb to physical pain. The burning gash across his front was easily ignored, other than the exhaustion it brought to his body. Akvan's real pain appeared in his mind. Already he felt betrayed, knowing that Shinda's magic had still been festering in the souls of others. Even when the Demon had admitted to hate this war, he still provided to fuel to keep it burning and destroying the world he longed to see. Akvan was so confused, and hurt beyond repair right now. He practically fell into Purgatory, though was soon to be caught and held up by Shinda. The Demon seemed genuinely concerned, which made Akvan wince more. If he had changed so much as to worry for someone else like this, then why did Shinda still betray Akvan's trust? The Sun child didn't dare to think that all this time he'd come to know the Demon better, that it was all a part of one of Shinda's malicious tricks. Shinda spoke his opinion on Angels again, and Akvan took a deep breath. "Perhaps... b-but I don't th-think this was Kakushin's d-doing. Not on h-his own anyway." Akvan mumbled, before standing on his own, pushing Shinda a little away, so the Sun child could reveal the piece of Oblivia magic he'd held onto. "S-shinda, this was inside of him. It w-was pr-practically consuming the King e-entirely." Akvan stated, breathing heavily. "I-I know it was your d-doing, what I-I w-want to know is why? Why Shinda? I-I know you d-don't like Angels, b-but you also hate war. T-to force an Angel t-to do something th-they'd never normally do... I j-just d-don't understand Shinda, why w-would you do this?" He asked, glaring up to Shinda now. "Is this a-all just another t-trick of yours? A-are you still th-the Devil, the one t-that wants the w-world to burn? B-because.. if you a-are... I d-don't think I-I c-can h-help s-someone like that escape th-this place."

Something was off with Akvan. The Sun child was certainly used to pain by now, something Shinda was almost remotely responsible for, and something he did regret. So the wound didn't seem to be causing his ally such distress. When Akvan moved away, Shinda saw the red magic, eyes widening a little. He stared at it until Akvan stopped speaking, his eyes moving back and forth fearfully from the piece of his magic and his friend, shocked when Akvan admitted second thoughts on helping the Demon. Shinda almost glared back, knowing how it was a promise Akvan made to help him escape, but then his brow loosened. He supposed, after all he'd done to the Sun child, feeling betrayed like this must be far worse, coming from the torturer turned friend of his too. But, Shinda was still just a desperate monster of this realm, hearing Akvan say those last few words hurt. "You promised... to help me see the Living world again." Shinda muttered, like a scolded child he looked to the ground as he spoke. There was a pause, before Akvan spoke again. "T-tell me why y-you did this." Akvan almost demanded. Shinda sighed, "Because.. I wanted to be right about Angels. That was one of my goals at first. I thought, when the war was beginning, that the only way to show how savage Angels could be, I'd need to give them that push. I placed some of my magic into their King, and let the war and the cruelty of others help that hate grow. When... when I decided to stop, after you said you'd help me, I retracted most of my Oblivia magic from those I'd stirred with it. But the Angel King... I left my magic in him." Shinda admitted. "I just... wanted the world to see what I saw in Angels, what that Angel did to my Sayo, prove their wickedness. No matter how I argued with myself to free him, I couldn't. The hatred I feel, the need to punish their kind for what they did.. I just couldn't stop." Shinda dropped his eyes again. Admitting it all now made Shinda realise his mistake, and for the first time, seeing Akvan's disappointment in him actually effected the Demon, it made him ashamed in the face of his friend to be discovered as such a vengeful spirit. "You see now? I am a spiteful being. Born to be an embodiment of evil."

Akvan looked away. He knew he promised Shinda, and a promise wasn't usually broken by the Sun child. But, he couldn't just let Shinda out into a world where the destruction he could cause could be so much greater, not whilst he didn't trust the Demon. Akvan demanded to know Shinda's reason, and regretted asking. Shinda, all this time, still couldn't get rid of that hatred in his heart. Kakushin wasn't the one who killed Shinda's family, but he was an Angel. And for some reason, that was enough for Shinda to hate him. Akvan shook his head, he couldn't believe anyone could hate so much that they'd indiscriminately punish others for no reason, to prove themselves right. Hate... Hate? Akvan looked up to Shinda, this time truly looking at the Demon. Shinda only really knew how to hate, didn't he? Akvan focused on the soul of his friend, the figure of complete red before him. And he found exactly what he'd suspected, something up until now that Akvan hadn't noticed. Shinda's soul wasn't naturally red. Just like Kakushin's, the red hatred in his soul trapped him. Oblivia magic had a grasp around Shinda like it did everyone the Demon cast it on. Akvan didn't speak for a while, before shaking his head. "N-no... no one is b-born evil. L-life d-doesn't have an a-alignment like that. B.. b-but there is e-evil in y-you Shinda." Akvan replied. "I-I c-can't t-take y-you out of h-here, not a-as you are. S-Shinda.. th-there's s-something I n-need t-to do first. A-and you have to t-trust me with it." Akvan stopped, taking a deep breath. He ignored the physical wounds now, although unsteady on his feet. Akvan had a goal now, and he was determined to see it through despite his weakened state. Placing one hand towards Shinda, hovering over the Demon's chest, Akvan muttered the spell's word, "Furtum." He cast, sending a wave of anti-magic into Shinda. The Demon immediately reacted, removing so much dark magic from Shinda's body probably hurt a lot. But Akvan didn't stop. He cast it again, "Furtum!" Another wave, pulsing over Shinda's body. For the Sun child, he could see pieces of the deep red magic break away from Shinda's soul, but gradually... the Oblivia magic simply returned to engulf him. Shinda began to beg, but, grimacing, Akvan ignored it. He went to cast the magic a third time, but half way through it, the Sun child's power gave up. A painful shudder through Akvan's arm, like the time he'd held up Baransu tower, and he was stuck gasping for air. He'd lost the chance at casting it again, and that fateful moment was about to cost Akvan a lot more.

Shinda waited the few painful seconds for Akvan to reply. His ears opened to hear the Sun child's words, and finally Shinda looked up to look for a sign of disdain in Akvan's gaze. But, the Sun child seemed understanding as ever, which almost made the Demon relax. But, Akvan mentioned that Shinda still had evil in him, and then more. He wasn't going to take Shinda out of here. The Demon glared for a moment, aggression rising as his so-called friend took back their promise, but then the glare turned to desperation. Shinda knew that even killing Akvan for breaking the promise wouldn't help anymore. If the Sun child didn't help Shinda, no one would. Everything seemed confusion, Akvan claimed he needed Shinda to trust him, which in his confused state, was hard for the Demon. Shinda took a deep breath along with his ally, eventually nodding his head, granting Akvan his trust. Not knowing what he was going to face, for Shinda's point of view, Akvan was attacking him. A muttered spell was cast, and in that second, it felt like Shinda's skin was being torn off by a ferociously strong wind. It pushed Shinda back a step, and the Demon almost keeled over as his stomach roared in pain. Again Akvan struck out at him with this magic, shredding into Shinda's soul and causing more pain. At this point, part of Shinda knew what was going on. He could feel the magic pumping through his blood being ripped away from him. And knowing that, all of Shinda's emotions turned to rage. "No!" Shinda growled, snarling up to Akvan. There was an instinct to hurt, punish the one trying to take away his power. Unaware of his pain, Shinda rushed at Akvan, who was struggling to maintain his own power, and in one quick motion, Shinda's tail sunk into the Sun child's stomach, lifting him a few inches from the ground. "No one will take this power from me!" Shinda snarled, using the strength of his tail to slam the skewered Akvan a few times onto the ground. "No one! You fucking hear me?" Shinda growled. He breathed heavily, holding Akvan there for a moment, before his furious glare relaxed a little. Huffing, Shinda removed his tail. "Get the hell out of here, traitor. I should have never trusted shit like you... I almost thought you a friend, big fucking mistake. Bringing you here was always a fucking mistake. So leave now, and never come back."

He'd been at the receiving end of that poisonous tail before, but right now it had a greater effect than ever before. Akvan was helpless as Shinda thrashed him about, smashing up the fragile body of the Sun child in a rage that, after knowing what Shinda was really like these last few months, didn't seem normal. It was clearer than ever, even through the extreme pain, for Akvan to see how this wasn't really Shinda's actions. He was a toy to the very magic he created, he'd allowed it to control him, rather than the other way around. After being released, Akvan squirmed to rest against the side of the archway, each breath was a sickly thick ooze down his throat, blood building in Akvan's mouth. Blood that was turning black from the poison. He could cure it, but right now, Akvan's eyes were focused on Shinda, grimacing as he watched his friend walk away. Shinda was trapped in so many ways, trapped in this eternal hell, trapped in his own mind, it was all so cruel. Akvan gasped for a breath, after spluttering out some sort of poison from his mouth. "F-from time to time.. I got t-to see th-the real Shinda. I w-wonder... what w-were you like b... before this evil t-t-took you." Akvan slurred. "F-forgiving... k-kind and g-generous... w-willing t-to do any.. thing t-to he-help another... I c-can't... l-let that Shinda d-die." Akvan added, slowly rising to his feet as he spoke, tears now forming in his eye. Akvan's gaze was weak, as the poison took him, and his heart was filled with a sadness, at what he'd face, what Shinda had been through. Sadness that dropped from his eye as tears, and as Akvan got up, it whirled around his feet, in the form of pure Sun magic, building in energy from this emotional state it's user was now in. As Akvan realised this, felt his power as a Sun child rising, he looked back to Shinda. "I... I'll leave this pl-place... but not.. not without my friend!" Akvan announced, before making a swiping motion with his hand. "Eteru." He muttered, and within the second of the words leaving his mouth, the magic at his feet latched up onto Akvan's body, unlocking his powers once more and causing the Sun child to go into his omnipotent mist form. The weight of the poison left, and all pain seemed to subside, whilst in this form, Akvan felt nothing. The injuries were still there, fatal injuries just waiting to take him once he reverted back, but Akvan cared not right now for his deathly destiny. After this battle, it wouldn't matter. Turning into mist, Akvan vanished and reappeared in front of Shinda, placing a hand forwards, "Furtum." He cast again, and the pulse of magic hit Shinda harder than ever, removing a large chunk of Oblivia magic. It was slowly returning to the Demon's soul, but Akvan wasn't going to let it get far. Chaining the pulse, Akvan sent multiple pulses into Shinda's body, ignoring his friend's pain for now. But this evil magic had been festering for thousands of years, the layers that Akvan destroyed rebuilt themselves, whilst the magic fought back, using Shinda's body as it had done for so many years. Akvan felt the evil fight back, causing the blood red claws of Shinda's to glow and grow, slashing towards Akvan's Eteru form, and actually finding contact on his ethereal form. Wincing from it, Akvan tried to pull back, but the red magic latched onto his side, burning into Akvan's shoulder and across his arm. The mist form gave out a contorted cry of pain, disappearing into the air before his arm was completely destroyed. Shinda followed close behind the golden mist, creating his own red mist to slam into Akvan, taking the Sun child by surprise with the damage done to him, even in his most indestructible state. This Oblivia magic was being relentless in it's desire to survive, now that Akvan had proven to be such a threat to it. Being knocked around in his air like form, Akvan reverted back into the usual Eteru form, looking back to Shinda as he prepared another attack. One more hit from that evil magic would doom Akvan. But, at the same time, doing enough damage to the Oblivia magic, enough to destroy it, would probably doom Akvan either way. The thought of promises broken, and the sadness from either outcome of this battle lingering in Akvan's mind, he brought the torn up arm forwards. Things would end here, the Sun child would make things right, if it was the last thing he did. The cruelty of the magic corrupting his friend, this eternal prison, the war going on around them that was aided by this evil magic, Akvan would end it all. "Maximum Furtum!" He cast, and the wave of energy came forth from his heart, so powerful that it took the remainder of Akvan's arm with it, completely shattering his right arm, but also unleashing power equal to that of a deity. It hit Shinda, and the golden surge of energy bloomed into an explosion of gold light, sucking all of the red matter out of Shinda and evaporating it. And as the magic burst around them, it hit invisible walls, making cracks in the fabric of this Purgatory, causing the Sun magic to seep out into the Living world. There, the pulsing wave wouldn't stop, it would soak through every corner of Sohul and the other realms until every piece of Oblivia magic left was gone, the evil that had been implanted into others would disappear. For Akvan and Shinda, the golden bloom soon dissipated into the air, leaving everything silent. Shinda lay on the floor, breathing, but completely exhausted of energy now that the thing plaguing him for over two thousand years had been removed. Akvan took one step towards the prone Demon, before his legs just collapsed under him, dropping the Sun child onto the swamp floor.

Shinda didn't even register what was going on. The last thing he really thought about was panic, watching Akvan seemed determined to rise, when the Demon wanted him to leave now, cure himself from the poison and leave Purgatory alive. Then there were flashes of gold, searing pains hitting Shinda's sides, ripping into his skin and soul again, and a fight that the Demon didn't really have a say in. It was Akvan versus the unnatural hatred living inside of Shinda, that only ended after a great blast of light, very similar to the beam that had brought Shinda here in the first place. It destroyed whatever evil latched onto Shinda, all of his magic was gone by the time the golden magic faded. Falling onto his back, unable to move his head, Shinda just watched the cracks in the invisible sides of Purgatory begin to grow. He couldn't even see Akvan, know thinking of his friend, wherever the Sun child was now. He knew there was no way out now, hearing a thump nearby, and remembering the condition Akvan was in, the condition Shinda put him in, the Demon knew neither of them could move or get out anymore. The archway had all but muffled out now as well, closed the moment Shinda lost his magic. And now that his rage, that evil desire to blame and hate everything around him was gone, Shinda felt guilty, and utterly hopeless. That emotionless heart fought and strained with ache and sadness, tears dropping from the Demon's eyes. Because of him, he'd condemned himself for a true eternity here, and he'd dragged his friend in with him. "It's.. my fault. Even if, I was being controlled this whole time, the evil still existed because of me, I created it." Shinda said, quietly. His eyes glanced up to wherever Akvan was probably lying. "If you can still hear me, I'm sorry. I'm so sorry Akvan. I should have fought harder, done.. something to stop all of this. I never wanted to... all of this.. I.." Shinda swallowed, giving off some sort of feral whine, something he'd not done in a while. "I just wanted to see her again. Sayo... I.. I can't even remember her anymore. Her hair... was it.. white? Yeah, white like snow, so pure and happy. She's just a blur now.. I've tried so hard to remember her forever, but.. I can't. I could never do anything."

Purgatory remained silent, even though cracks were beginning to form around it. Deathly silent, as Akvan's Eteru form slowly began to retreat back into his body, the golden mist hardening, and in places, turning crimson as blood from wounds began to form once more. Just lying there, gasping for air, Akvan almost didn't hear Shinda. He was flat on his front, and struggled to lift his head to look over to where the Demon was lying. From here, Akvan could just see the lines of blue tears down Shinda's face, as the Demon spoke to himself, and them hopefully to Akvan. The Demon was so desperate, voice broken down as he apologised. And Akvan's heart sunk when Shinda spoke about Sayo. The one he loved, how he couldn't even remember her anymore. Akvan, for his own reasons, pictured Chester in his head. Her sweet smile, gem-like eyes, everything about her Akvan adored. And, if her image was to fade from his mind, Akvan could feel the tugging pain at his heart, fearing to imagine what kind of sadness it brought Shinda to no longer be able to picture the one he loved. It reminded Akvan of his reason for making a promise to Shinda, and gave him the strength to stand up. His body protested, but Akvan still dragged himself forwards, almost falling over Shinda as he stopped by the Demon's side. "Y-you'll... you w-will s-see h-h-her a.. again. Shinda... I-I made y-you a.. promise." Akvan muttered down to him, using his remaining arm to pick up the Demon, pulling one of his now obsidian black claws over Akvan's shoulder. Akvan dragged them over to where one of the cracks was gradually dropping to. And this time, the Sun child channelled not his own sadness, but Shinda's overwhelming sorrow, charging it up to release one final blast of Sun energy, that smashed right through Purgatory's barrier. Whilst Shinda, now with his eyes closed, clung to Akvan's shoulder, the Sun child dragged them through, feeling a slight strain when it came to pulling Shinda with him. Something still pulled the Demon into that eternal prison, like shackles around his feet. Using the last of his own powers, Akvan sent his Eteru form directly around his friend, basking Shinda with his Sun magic until it caused the link to the Demon and Purgatory to snap. Both Akvan and Shinda fell into the Living world, free at last from Purgatory's grasp. And whilst this was no longer that eternal prison, for a moment, things were still silent, as the two bodies lay motionless. One resting... and one lifeless.

A golden hand reached for him, this hopeless mongrel of a Demon. And whilst in his mind, Shinda begged it to leave him, to survive, be with the one it loved, his body gave up. Shinda's eyes closed, and his body shut down. He expected to wake up in another realm of Purgatory, to start this endless cycle once more. But, when Shinda's eyes fluttered open, against his face he could feel the cold wet mud of the swamp. And around him, Shinda could hear... he could HEAR... the sound of birds, fluttering by. The sound of lone trees rustling their branches. Shinda took a breath, able to taste the fresh air around him, and feel that one breath lift his entire chest with life. Energy tingled through his limbs, and the Demon rose on his arms, looking around the swamp in confusion, and then awe. He glanced back in time to see a purple arcane flicker, as the gap between Purgatory and this world closed, with Shinda at last on the Living side as it did. He chuckled, made a noise of joy, as his widened eyes looked around everywhere, even an unsightly place like this swamp was enough to make Shinda cry with longing. Shinda crouched on his knees, ears opening and closing, nose taking in all the smells, everything he remembered about being alive hit him hard in the heart, and the Demon was beyond happy. "You.. you did it." Shinda muttered, chuckling a little more. He glanced down to his friend, still down on the ground. "You got us back, Akvan.. b.. both of us!" Shinda added, a purring noise coming from his throat as he turned to hopefully watch Akvan rise with him. That golden energy around his friend gradually sunk down into the ground and flesh of the Sun child, revealing Akvan's usual body... and all the injuries. Veins were black from the poison in his system, wounds burned into his flesh, and the now stump of one of his arms gradually bled into the ground. And... Akvan's chest didn't rise, he didn't breath. Shinda's smile dropped like a stone, the Demon quickly moving his finger down to roll over his friend, pushing the limp body onto it's back. Shinda's eyes were wide, covered in a glossy shine as tears returned. "No.. No! Wake up.. Wake up Sun shit!" Shinda barked, going to slap his friend across his face. But, the momentum of the slap was all but lost as it hit Akvan's face, merely tapping his cheek. Shinda was wailing now, body gone limp for a new reason. "You.. said you'd show me the Living world... you.. s-so.. so show me! Don't.. don't leave."

Tenshi had left Minato the second she knew everyone was going to be alright. Planning on finding out what caused the fire, she knew Nanari was doing what she could, with everyone being healed as quickly as they were, and having a few already begin to put out the flames, Tenshi left Hane in the care of the cats. But her original goal was quickly deviated from when she felt a powerful presence enter the world, she knew who it must have been, having not felt this for two thousand years, quickly heading over to the swamp where the arch was, Tenshi hoped Shinda wasn't released on this world, he had done too much harm already, and if he had found a way to escape, then they would all be in danger. But with entering the swamp, looking upon the scene that was unfolded, Tenshi didn't know what she should believe, not in listening to the one sided conversation and the anguish in Shinda's voice. Taking a breath, Tenshi stood behind Shinda, tears in her eyes, watching Akvan, knowing it was too late to save him, at least by simple healing methods. Looking down to her old friend, and her brother, who was who right now, she wasn't sure. "I haven't heard you cry like this for so long. And right now, I'm not sure if I'm happy for it, or hate it." Tenshi wasn't going to hold back her snarl at Shinda for everything he has done, but she wasn't about to completely overlook him, he was still family, even after all these years, and she could tell something more happened with Akan, and she was determined to find out what. "Hello again, Shinda."

Death wasn't as glorified as expected. But, then again, Akvan already knew what death was like, at least in his case. Just darkness, pitch black nothing. He'd fallen forwards, out of Purgatory, taking Shinda with him. But, the fall, he never felt the fall. As Akvan's eyes closed, he felt nothing. No more pain, no more fear, just emptiness. It never dawned on him that he was dead, not yet. And the moment Akvan began to realise his situation, the fall finally hit him. And, he opened his eye, letting light filter out this dark void. For a moment, Akvan felt life again, but feeling that force dragging him down, like a rope pulling him towards the centre of this world, he knew it wouldn't last long. Amongst the blurs around him, and muffled voices, Akvan's eye searched out for the last person he remembered seeing. "Sh... shinda.." Came his harsh, almost silent voice. His eye was open, but it simply stared through the red and white blur above him, and looking at Akvan, he looked like an moving corpse, completely pale with sunken eyes, blood stained into the corners of his mouth. "We... we made it o-out.." Akvan muttered, sucking in breath to chuckle once, "You... you're f-fr-free." He chuckled again, but it came out as a splutter of blackened blood. "N-not... just f-from P.. purgatory.. b-but, from th...that evil too.. S-shinda... I'm g-glad." Akvan paused, something wet hit his face, and despite how far gone the Sun child was, he knew the feeling of tears pretty well. "D.. death is... the o-one.. complete n-nec-necessity of life... we all d-die.. a-at some p-point.. but... love... l-love do-doesn't... it s-stays f-forever.. S.. she s-still l-loves.. you, f-friend, y..your Sayo. I.. if y-you r-r-remember th-that.. then you'll... n-never s-suffer again." Akvan was ready for those to be his final words. He felt his heart shiver, and chest begin to collapse down. "I... c-could I a-ask a... f-favour?" Akvan asked up. His lips then quivered for a moment, tears around his good eye. "T.. t-tell Chester.. pl-please... make s-sure.. she knows I.. love her." Words coming right from his dying heart, sorrowful that he was breaking a promise to his love, that he'd die before seeing her face one last time. But, from what his words meant, he wanted to make sure Chester knew his death didn't mean leaving her behind... because Akvan didn't ever want to leave her. Sparks of gold light began to appear around his body, a true sign of a Sun child's passing, and by instinct, Akvan knew it was his last breath to be drawn, and he took it just thinking of all those who meant so much to him. His Chester, his family, even Shinda... the friend that killed him, but Akvan gladly took the kill, it was his sacrifice and gift to his friend.

It hurt, it hurt so much. Just going through this pain again. Losing someone else, and all Shinda could see was the deep cut he'd made, the poison that took his friend, like it took everyone else in Shinda's life. And he cried, in anguish at himself for doing all of these things. All he'd ever done was kill, kill all who tried to be kind to him, and yet... perhaps the kindest of them all, had still helped Shinda escape punishment. He'd been forgiven by the one he'd literally tortured for their entire life. And there was no way that apologising to Akvan would do anything now. Shinda sat and stared for a while, eyes twitching, going from a self-loathing glare, to a face of sorrow in succession. Then there was that voice. It could be mistaken as no-one, even if Shinda hadn't heard this voice for so many years. And his form went completely stiff as Tenshi spoke, she hated him, he could hear that growl to her voice, and so the Demon didn't dare turn around yet. "I hate it... I always hated it when people cried." Shinda muttered, turning his head to just slightly glance in Tenshi's direction. He met her snarl, and it made his gaze drop to the floor. He needed to explain himself, right away, and the moment Shinda opened his mouth to talk again, another voice appeared instead. So quiet and morbid, but Shinda still picked up on the whisper, and his eyes shot down to look at the barely alive Akvan. Shinda thought he'd be happy to see his friend awake, but he could tell it wouldn't last. There was no life to Akvan's eyes, just a desperation to talk one last time. So Shinda's back shuddered as he held back his whines and whimpers, listening through whatever Akvan had to say till the very end. The tears were uncontrollable, but they were for Akvan's sake, a gift almost, the only way Shinda could tell him that the Demon truly saw his actions as beyond incredible, or heroic. He cried to indicate that it was friend he watched die below him, not an enemy. Shinda thought of Sayo, and his eyes clamped shut, he saw a flicker of what she looked like then, her sweet natured face, it came rushing back to the Demon now. It proved Akvan's words, and made Shinda smile for a second, before his expression dropped again. He reached a hand to Akvan's shoulder, "Of... course.. you deserve more than just a favour, but.. what is it?" Shinda replied quickly, guessing time was short right now. The Demon's brow dropped over his eyes, and he nodded slowly. "She'll... she'll know.. I promise. But.. Oi, you should tell her yourself.. you..." It came out as a desperate plea, as the moment Shinda suggested his friend should hang on and tell Chester himself, Shinda already noticed the life gone in Akvan's eyes, his body turning slowly into mist that rose up into the sky. Shinda's shoulders dropped, and he swallowed hard, words coming out as a mutter, "I promise." He had to remain silent for a few moments, unable to look back at Tenshi right now. Though, eventually Shinda got to his feet, stepping back from the fading body, face wincing to his friend, before finally facing his Angelic sister. "I... I have no right, to ask anything of you, Tenshi.. but please..." Shinda paused, his tail that had been limp against the ground this whole time slowly rose to hover in front of Shinda. "Remove this." Shinda plead, his gaze dropping down. "I want to do better, with this life given to me.. by my friend. But I want to do it, without this reminder following me. Please, I don't expect to be forgiven, or even pitied, but, you have the right Tenshi, to take this from me, after all it took from you."

Tenshi ignored Shinda when he first spoke, to watch Akvan, eyes widening when he spoke, she didn't think he would have had the strength in him. But she dared not move, what he was saying was for Shinda, and Tenshi let a lone tear fall at the thought how the enemies could become friends, the complete opposite to all those years ago, and while she remembered and made a silent promise to herself to let Chester know this, Tenshi was going to let Shinda do so, as Akvan's last dying wish. She knew Akvan was gone the second his eyes turned lifeless, and she was less surprised against anything when he began to turn to mist, disappearing from this world as a body at least, Tenshi knew in her heart there was a way to bring him back, but made no hope that they would ever find it. Whispering a soft goodbye to her friend, Tenshi turned back to Shinda, glare set hard before he spoke and the usual softness returned for her old friend and brother. "Oh, I would love more then anything to cut of that thing in the most painful way I know how for all you have done, but I wont. You cannot hope for a future if you run from your past. Akvan freed you of the evil inside, you controlled that things before, you can do it again." Tenshi knew she couldn't do it, her words may sound cold, but again, she still considered Shinda family, if only for Sayo's memory, but family all the same, and she hates to see her family suffer, in any form. "I wont forgive you for anything, not yet, so don't take my refusal the wrong way. Nor do I pity you Shinda, I haven't done so for a long time. But I remember the brother I was to have, the man you were with Sayo by your side, and I cannot harm that man, not when he's still there waiting to show himself once more."

It wouldn't be long until Shinda was forced to look back, towards his dead friend, and the one who would no doubt run to find him soon enough. But right now, Shinda avoided it, looking at the ground in front of Tenshi, tail dropping to rest on the ground once more. The hardened skin on Shinda's neck shivered as Tenshi's words. She did hate him, an understandable hate, and no doubt there was a desire to enact some revenge for those she'd lost. All of them due to the Demon's actions. And if Shinda knew from experience what it was like to face the killer of one's heart, then he could congratulate Tenshi on the passive stance she had right now.. resisting the urge to hurt Shinda like he probably deserved. But, something that surprised Shinda a little, Tenshi refused to cut off his poisonous tail. Shinda resisted the urge to growl in frustration, instead going silent, fighting the urge to tear up by swallowing hard. After a period of silence, one of Shinda's claws went over to his pocket. "You... you said you wanted to kill me." Shinda said suddenly, "Wanted me to suffer... to send me back to that eternal hell.. Well, why don't you?" Shinda muttered, blinking a few times. "This just proves it... What I did t...to my friend... It's just like with Sayo." His claws began to tense, hard chitin surface almost cracking against each sharp finger. "I tried to stop him... from going too far, but he wouldn't leave. I didn't want it to happen again, to be the cause of the same thing that.. destroyed me.. but no matter how I try, I can never stop being so.. evil." Shinda paused, tail lifting off the ground a little more. "This infernal tail, my infernal 'magic'... it's been the cause of so much death and suffering... If you say that brother of yours is still in me, then these are the things dragging him down."

Tenshi looked to Shinda, blinking, before dropping her stance and relaxing a little. He was right, she did want to do that, she did want to make him suffer, just as she did. But it wasn't right to do so, not for such reasons, and she knew deep down there was more to all this then she had forced herself to believe all these years. "I do want to kill you, to make you suffer as I did. But I want Shinda the monster dead, the Demon that held evil in his heart, the thirst for revenge and hatred. Not the man who is freed of that." Reaching up slowly, Tenshi hesitated a moment before placing a hand upon his shoulder, nothing much beside the small extra weight, but nothing that seemed threatening either. "You did not kill Sayo. That was my bastard of a father who couldn't get it through his thick skull that Angels and Demons could co-exist with one another. You lost her that day because of him, not because of you, and she died loving you. I hold you no blame for that. Nor do I blame you for the first reactions of anger and hatred, I could understand it... It was the moment you killed our friend, that I began to hold you accountable for everything, because that was you, not the Shinda that had evil in him." Which was the truth, it wasn't until the first blood had been spilt for their shared friend that Tenshi began to have doubts about him. Every moment before that was accountable of her father, and nothing would convince her otherwise. Listening to his next words made Tenshi make a decision, and while she still hated him for everything he did, Tenshi would throw him over the rope to begin fixing this, dragging Shinda into a tight hug, Tenshi closed her eyes as she spoke. "What drags my brother down is his own self worth and thoughts. He let hatred and anger rule over the things he believed in, because it was easier to deal with then the suffering. And yet it only made things worse. Your magic is not what binds him now, its a reminder of what becomes when that anger rules over, what's lost in the process, and with it still there, I hope he can be reminded that he can fix things. Instead of breaking them." It wasn't forgiveness, but it was her way of telling him to set things right, that he can earn that forgiveness if he so wished. Her brother was in there, she just needed this reformed Shinda to dig him out.
