Shinda didn't talk, just shook his head slowly, every part of him clenched up. He didn't have the willpower left to hate anyone else right now, only himself. And his anguish at himself only rose further. Yes, Shinda was a 'freed' man, free from the Oblivia magic that had been controlling him. But he was still the weak minded, short-tempered Demon that had given into that hatred, that had killed so many because of how weak he was. "It might not have been me who took her life... but I took Sayo's spirit, her heart, and destroyed it... it deserved far better than the likes of me." Shinda muttered, flinching at the hand on his shoulder. It forced him to look up to Tenshi, listening for a moment before dropping his eyes, relaxing a hand to lift it and cover his face a little. "Sakana.. Iruka... Rifi.. I never meant to take their lives.. it wasn't part of some plan to kill them, or because the evil inside me told me to." Shinda stated. He knew Tenshi knew more of the true story about Shinda past than anyone else, but there were some parts she didn't know. Like how Sakana and Iruka died, both trying to protect Shinda, and being taken down by a fearful and confused animal in the process, who acted on instinct. He again flinched at the second contact, this time a hug, but Shinda eventually relaxed into it. Though the feeling of an embrace was close to alien to him now, after so long, Shinda immediately melted into Tenshi's hold, releasing a longing for such a simple comfort he'd had for all those years alone. After some silence, Shinda spoke again, quiet, and muffled into Tenshi's shoulder. "If... If a being made for destruction can become such a selfless hero... giving his life for mine... then maybe I can change my fate too." Shinda said, eyes glancing over to Akvan, honestly finding it hard to say his name anymore, but still giving him all the credit he deserved. But his gaze quickly moved away from the body, eyes closing to just take in the hug instead.

Chester hadn't left Ru's side since finding him, a little overwhelmed with how many had suddenly began to help the races, but grateful all the same. Nickolas seemed nice enough, and well respected by the many individuals, it was amusing watching him and Nanari talk, both with such similar views, but two different methods to deal with it, and the clash in thoughts added a lightness to the terrible mood that surrounded her brothers near dying. And while she everyone was doing all they could, there was little change right now, and she still feared for his life. But that quickly changed when she began twiddling with her wedding ring in worry, before noticing the light begin to fade, setting off a whole new wave of worry. Chester barely hesitated once getting the go ahead from Nanari that she would watch Ru, before rushing off to her husbands aid, in a hope she could do something to help, not much without the Totem, but perhaps it would be enough to get him back to the house under care. She couldn't lose him, not again. But arriving at the arch, Chester froze with tears in her eyes taking in the sight. First Akvan's slowly fading body, as if he never existed and how in next to no time that might be the case, it was enough to spread a wave of terror into her system, almost sending Chester to her knees in tears. If not for the two hugging figures not far from the body, one was definitely Tenshi which in itself was enough to prove that the situation was terrible, if she wasn't even trying to help Akvan, and the other unknown. But it wasn't hard to guess whom it might be, very few people knew of this arch way and swamp area from what she had gathered, and with Akvan's condition, it was almost obvious as to who the stranger may be, even in this form. Growling slightly, not really hating Tenshi for this, a slight understanding on how she must be feeling right now, but mad enough not to care for her next actions. Storming over, her gut feeling telling her Akvan wouldn't respond right now anyways, and she dared not even consider that a possibility, the illusion they may be able to save him yet running clear in her mind. Chester pushed the two apart before looking to the stranger and all her pent up anger and hurt blown out into one larger proportion. "Shinda right? Oh, how me and you need to have a fucking chat." Chester pushed him back, borderline painful, or so she hoped, before slapping his cheek and moving so that she was holding two fists at her side as she shook in anger trying to hold back her tears. "You did all this, caused all this death, all this pain. Killed my husband, not the first but a second time... You, you put him through so much." The anger had quickly dissolved as she broke down, slowly dropping to the floor and taking Akvan's hand, watching it disappear. "How you dare stand here alive as he dies I don't know... I'm losing him again because of you." Chester let her tears fall then, whispering to Akvan, "Please, I love you, you promised you wouldn't leave me again... YOU FUCKING PROMISED AKVAN... You... You fucking promised..."

There wasn't much energy in Shinda. Although his body was living again, slowly feeling the air pump around his body, he was still exhausted. In fact, a few moments ago, he'd been unconscious, drawn into a comatosed state from having magic ripped from him. So the sudden push knocked the Demon off balance easily, making him stumble back in surprise, then seeing who it was, made Shinda's body lax. It felt disgraceful to stand before Chester like this, killing her love, after knowing how that felt himself. Part of Shinda, even though he'd never really met this woman, felt like he knew her, at least from the time he'd shared a body with Akvan. He accepted the second push, and let out a slight, feral squeal when he was slapped, but the Demon didn't move much, or react beyond flinching from the pain. He had no words to say, not any that would really comfort her right now. Apologising would do nothing, Shinda could tell that. Her aggression dropped like a rock, as did the woman herself when she went down to Akvan's side. Shinda heard the muttering, and then took a deep breath to remain his own, fragile composure right now. "I don't deserve to stand here, whilst he is there. Your... your husband offered me so much, even after all I'd done to him, and.. he saved me despite all of it." Shinda tried to say, sighing, before adding something. "Before he... um, the last thing Akvan wanted to say... was that he loved you. And... that it was something that wouldn't die. He hasn't broken any promise to you.. it's, it's all my fault that this happened." Shinda added, voice getting quieter, watching the painfully slow disappearance of his friend as he spoke. Leaving Chester to her mourning, Shinda glanced to Tenshi. "You.. say I should start fixing things... I want to start with this." Shinda muttered. Despite his exhaustion, the Demon was designed to be sturdy and swift, so in one quick movement, Shinda had turned around completely, facing away from this scene, and darted off into the swamp. He travelled fast, a good few metres of running until his wings were summoned, and Shinda used the tattered things to fly up, for once feeling the soft wind as he did, flying high up into the skies... quick to leave the painful and guilt-ridden scene, but to also get started as soon as possible on how to fix this.

When Chester arrived, Tenshi didn't try and stop her from getting out her anger, she knew Chester would be hurt and angry. And with Shinda here it would be worse for obvious reasons, all she would do is stop either from killing the other, Tenshi wanted no more death. She let the tears fall when Chester dropped next to Akvan, flashes of the past when she did the same with Rifi plaguing her mind, and Tenshi felt herself tear up at those memories. But she was proud of Shinda more so for not lashing out, proving her was still him from that same past, the softness in his voice something she hadn't heard since Sayo. She didn't get chance to reply to Shinda once he ran, but she didn't fear him doing anything 'evil', she felt in her heart it was something good, and for now she would leave him to it, she could find him later, that familiar family bond still strong enough to give her hope. Instead she dropped next to Chester, bringing yet another she considered family into a comforting hug. Chester had lost so much, had been through too much, and she knew inside this really was killing her, she made it clear in her cries and anguish for losing the one she loved again. "I know it is hard Chester, god do I know. But he's free of his pain now, and you are not alone." Tenshi didn't know what to say to make Chester believe her words at first, but she knew after how she could convince her. "I've been here many years ago, holding the man I loved body in my arms as he died out, going cold, dying slowly and painfully. And while I admit I go my last words with him, I also knew he died slowly in pain, whereas Akvan here is at peace, you must be grateful for that."
