Notes: Taking place HERE a random spot in early Dranar. It's around four years since Iruka and Shinda were introduced into Sakana's family, meaning most are in their teen years now.Shinda didn't know how to feel about this visit. He'd been reassured constantly by Iruka on the way down that he wasn't being abandoned, and that they were only going down to explore and perhaps find out more about others like the Demon, but he still felt nervous. Perhaps this visit was his fault anyway. Ever since he could ask, Shinda hadn't stopped questioning his origin, unable to remember much about what he was or where he came from. Iruka had put it off, and Sakana also didn't like talking about it either. For a while, Shinda simply assumed they didn't know either, perhaps the Demon had turned up at their doorstep one day. The Demon had left it at the back of his mind, constantly returning to the thought, but pressuring it no more on the others. Not until around a year later, once it had become very clear to the others that they weren't making friends with a simple minded Demon that just so happen to have mastered speech. Shinda was becoming more and more aware of, everything. He remembered what others said, he could calculate and think for himself. Come to conclusions, and question his origin. All in the space of just under four years. For someone who used to study Demons with his family, Iruka wanted desperately to see if Shinda wasn't just one of a kind. If there were more out there just as adaptable and intelligent as the little red Demon. Shinda clutched onto Iruka's back for the journey down, constantly looking around as the air grew heavier and dustier. They seemed to pass through a layer of dark cloud, one that Angels in the past once assumed lead to an endless, black abyss. It was only by exploration, and observation as flying creatures would emerge from the black clouds that there might be life below. And then Dranar was found. Shinda remembered how Iruka had explained to him all about Angel history a while ago, and had remembered every little part of the story. He was excited about this visit. Perhaps it might shed some light on Shinda's past, or perhaps he'll find someone else, just like himself. Shinda didn't know, but simply getting out of the house for the first time to explore felt kind of scary. Life outside of that big Angel house was all unknown to Shinda, and down in Dranar, it wasn't like there was civilisation like Angels had in Aura. Where they appeared once clearing the black cloud was an amazing sight. The flat, floating islands of Aura never held this much strange variety. And so to all those on this exploration mission, the mountain before them was completely unique. Shinda's eyes were looking around everywhere. The air was hot and exotic here, but there was so much fresh life. Grass so green and forests thick. It wasn't how the reptilian like Demon had pictured things, especially not from descriptions of Dranar. Cooing happily, Shinda pointed towards the strange mountain. It looked as though one mountain had fallen, and was being held up by rocky stilts on top of another. From the jaws of this mountain, a dozen waterfalls cascaded down into a ravine below. The sight looked so peaceful and untouched, but although it looked as though Iruka would have a hard time finding any Demons here, he still insisted on landing. Shinda hopped of his guardians back as soon as the ground was close enough, at first rushing ahead to get a better look of the mountain, his weighted tail bouncing across the ground. Since it had grown fully sharp, everyone was made aware of the... 'qualities' of Shinda's tail when the Demon accidentally swiped the spike on his tail across the back-garden's tree. In a manner of minutes, the entire tree had rotted down into nothing but dead wood. To cover Shinda's poisonous tip, Iruka had tied down layer after layer of white bed sheets to the tail, making sure the Demon could never cut something a little more precious than a tree with that tail. Shinda was already used to it, understanding himself why it needed to be done. Shinda made some more excited noises, before looking to Iruka behind him. "Arrr... Are we sure there are more like me over there? More Demons?" Shinda asked back, hoping that they could explore this place before moving on at least.

Iruka was glad he'd got this time off. For once in her life, and Iruka was still struggling to believe this but, for once Sakana had actually done something helpful and selfless. She'd known for months that Shinda wasn't a usual pet, and he was desperate to find out where he came from below in Dranar. And she also saw how much Iruka wanted to visit those strange lands, where he'd once practically lived when exploring with his family. And so Sakana had lied to her parents faces, managing to get them to permit Iruka on a 'one person' exploration of the quieter reaches of Dranar. If they found out anything, then Sakana would pay for it, and she hated lying to her parents beyond keeping Shinda as their secret pet. So, perhaps the brat girl wasn't so annoying, or at least had one good quality.
Iruka made sure the flight down was slow and steady, well aware of the flightless, nervous Demon holding tightly onto him. He almost felt like smiling. He'd not been down to Dranar in so many years. The last time he came here, he left without any family, only a baby Demon. And now those two were going back down for the first time, with any others Iruka didn't mind joining them on the trek. Today was important, not just for Iruka to think back to his old life. It was to see what exactly was out there. Shinda was the perfect proof that Demons weren't the simple, feral monsters that others saw them as. They had hearts and minds. They had the ability to love and care for others. The first thing Shinda did when Iruka taught him the meaning of words like 'friends' and 'family' was to ask how he could get such things. All the Demon wanted to do was belong somewhere, and to do that, perhaps Shinda needed to know where he came from. The lands of Dranar, full of dangers and climates that changed so quickly it was on extreme levels. Landing down, Iruka himself took a look at the mountains, "Maybe." Iruka replied, "I remember seeing loads of Demonic creatures around here. Whether we find one in your class, Shinda, is another thing." Demons were graded on class when Iruka's family researched them. From one to ten, depending on how strong they were, or how much of a threat they were. The bigger ones were considered tens. Shinda was once only around a four, but Iruka changed his own rules of classification, defining intelligent as the ranking instead. Shinda was a ten, almost as understanding as any Angel twice his age. If there were any other like him around, Iruka was ready to find out.

Rifi for the most part was bored, with Tenshi with her parents, Rifi had no one he could annoy or pick on for fun. So the second he found out that Iruka was going to explore Dranar with Shinda, Rifi didn't just jump at the chance to go for company, but jumped at the chance to finally have a reason for being reckless and explore the Angels neighbours in depth. Having been packed for such a day for years, Rifi was quick to take flight to Iruka's location, passing through to Dranar and touching on the ground far behind the others before rushing up to them, eyes scanning every detail of this land, memorising each mark in the land. "So this is where our beloved Shinda came from... Don't worry little guy, we'll find another..." Rifi was itching to look around and explore, and he knew this wouldn't be the last time he came down here. Rifi was lucky his parents were so busy that they hardly noticed he was gone, it would make sneaking out down here so much easier. "I mean, you cant be the only one right? There's bound to be another, even if its small..." Smiling to the other two, Rifi looked to the mountains. "We should head there first..." It wasn't like Rifi wanted to find a cave or anything...

Shinda didn't mind on the class. He knew it was impossible to find another Demon that could talk like he could. Whether they could be taught speech was different. He just wanted to see life down here, see if he had any close resemblances to other Demons, or if they really were all different. Shinda stared over towards the mountains, nose sniffing to the air. "It could be dangerous, will you be alright?" Shinda stated. Instinct told him that Shinda would be fine here, it was his Angel friends he was concerned for. They weren't made for Dranar climate and environment like the tough Demon. Shinda's ear twitched, looking around and smiling to Rifi, making some excited growling noise before looking around again. "You think so?" He asked his friend, a little bit of hope in his purple eyes, "Well, maybe. I won't be upset if there aren't, but I think it... would be nice to share something similar to someone else." Shinda added, knowing not to add to what he said. They all knew that Shinda desired to find his own kind not just for self relief, but to have something in common with another. The flightless Demon just needed that kind of thing. Shinda was ready to race off as soon as Rifi suggested the large mountain or cave structure. Hopping down to a path a small ledge below, Shinda sniffed around again. "Biggest smell is coming from the mountains, so I think we should agree with Rifi, Iruka."

Iruka looked around, remembering the days he'd spent basically living down here, finding new places and gambling on how safe it was. Chuckling, Iruka placed one hand on Shinda's head, the other on his sword's hilt. "Don't worry kid, I'm used to these lands, remember who found you after all." He answered, patting Shinda's head before turning with the Demon to welcome their companion. "Managed to make it huh? Where's Tenshi?" Iruka asked Rifi, placing a hand momentarily on the young man's shoulder before looking around. He almost smiled to Shinda. It must be tough, as good a life as they tried to give him, Shinda was different, and had to remain so hidden from anyone but his four friends. And they could all talk about similarities, go out and fly. Shinda meanwhile was forever left behind. And he was brave in hiding how it made him feel down, so if Iruka found anything today, he hoped he could find something for Shinda to have. Iruka hummed, nodding down to Shinda and rubbing his neck. "Well, caves are usually the most common sighting for Demons, but they're also dangerous, many sharp corners and hiding places for them to strike from." Iruka paused, "But... I suppose it is our best bet, so lead the way Shinda."

It took a lot of work on Tenshi's behalf to get away from her parents today, explaining how she has something important going on, and having to lie about what it was, god forbid if her father found out she was heading down into Dranar. But what really got to her, is that Rifi didn't wait, sure she told him that she was busy... But she also told him that she was going to get out of it at all costs, and still the idiot didn't wait up for her. She was going to hurt him. Rushing into Dranar, Tenshi was quick to find where the others were hiding, and she couldn't be more grateful that she inherited her parents strong flying ability. Listening into the conversation before swooping down towards the other three, Tenshi repeatedly slapped Rifi over the head a few times. "Tenshi is right here... Having managed to get out of this thing with the parentals... I told Rifi to wait for me.... Jerk." Tenshi finally stopped hitting Rifi on the head, before giving him a kiss on the cheek and hugging the other two, ruffling Shinda's head a little after. "I'm up for a cave exploration... Perhaps with Shinda here, we will be a little safer..." Tenshi hoped they found something for their little friend, he seemed so lonely.

Rifi believed he was forgetting something when Tenshi was mentioned, but shrugged it off at the thought of being able to explore. "HELL YEAH! I wouldn't miss something like this for anything, you know how long I've wanted to explore these lands. And Tenshi is doing something with her parents I believe, though, I think she mentioned something else... Ehh, I don't remember." Rifi smiled over to Shinda quickly, before looking to the mountains. "Well, maybe not someone exactly the same as you... You have been growing up with the Angels. But I'm certain we'll find something out here... Hell, if we cant get it up to Aura, or find anything today, then I can always bring you here more often, if Iruka is unavailable to do so." Rifi listened into what the others had to say, before the hairs on the back of his neck stood up, and Rifi was trying to defend himself from a very angry Tenshi. "SHEESH, IM SORRY, I FORGOT. QUIT HITTING ME CRAZY..." Once Tenshi finally stopped and gave a kiss to his cheek, Rifi felt his face light up a little as he looked away, still not use to this sort of affection from her. "You sure your up for it though Ten? If we do get attacked.. And you got hurt..." Rifi didn't even want to think about that, or what he would do... He was sure Shinda would try to help, but they couldn't be sure.

Shinda nodded his head. True, Iruka was the one who'd saved Shinda from here, but it didn't mean the older Angel was any better at protecting himself. After some good years of growth, Shinda was probably the only one fit enough to stop any attacks, and even if Iruka could use his sword, against something with scales as tough as the ones over Shinda's arms, it wouldn't do much. He was all the more excited to have Tenshi here. She was so easy to talk to, and when Shinda had been so distressed in the past, Tenshi seemed to handle it well. He chuckled when Tenshi seemed to be showing Rifi her dominance, calling him a 'Jerk'. That was a new word, though Shinda had heard it plenty. It's actual meaning was unknown, but judging by the fact that Tenshi was always hitting Rifi or mad when she said it, Shinda knew he wanted to avoid being called that or using it. Shinda like what Rifi said, musing on perhaps making Demon friends here, being taken to them for visits and the like. He was logical enough to know the likes of that were little, but it did make Shinda smile all the more. Shinda listened to them all talk, growling wit determination. "Nothing will hurt my friends," Shinda stated up to them all, "I was born in these lands, built for them. So I can defend my friends, promises." Shinda didn't really remember how he was found by Iruka, almost crushed to death by a large Demonic creature. But that Shinda was a baby. He might have lost his wings, but Shinda was tough, and almost itched for the chance to prove just how tough he was with some actual danger, if they found any.

Iruka watched the young love birds argue, far too used to it now. He nodded to Tenshi, glad they had a full party now, minus the most annoying one. Iruka was sure they'd be fine. He'd been wrong before of course, and the last time Iruka assumed that down here his family was killed. But he wouldn't make the same mistake again. And this place, tropical and lively. Iruka couldn't be certain, but he had once made a theory that the drier areas with less forestation held the more deadly Demons and Demonic creatures, they fed so much off the land that most of the strongest Demons lived in harsher areas. This one was perfect for life, and better suited to creatures not quite tough enough for the harsh side of Dranar. Iruka jumped after Shinda. "Relax, no one will get hurt, I planned this place especially for it's easy going looks. If anyone gets harmed, I don't want to think about what the priests will put me through." Iruka had already had his fair share off the Angel leaders, priests already hounding him for the loss of his first family and adoption into a new one. He'd hate to be the cause of more of their oh so holy counselling. Shinda seemed determined for once, must be feeling alive, Demon blood pumping with excitement. Iruka rubbed Shinda's head, "I'm betting you can, Shinda. Those tough little claws weren't meant for digging in the garden. Now go and sniff something out, we'll follow behind." Iruka said to his friend, waiting up for Tenshi and Rifi as Shinda scouted ahead, sensitive Demon nose getting attracted to all sort of new things around him.

Tenshi rolled her eyes at the prospect of getting hurt. Like Rifi was going to let that happen, and even if they were attacked, all it would take was for quick flight away, so they had nothing to worry about. Still thought, that didn't mean she hated the concern, she found it sweet of him actually, like hell if she ever told him that though. Nor would she let Iruka get in trouble with the priests if they did get hurt, they chose to go with him after all. "Oh please Rifi, I can handle my own, you know that." She lost count of the amount of times she beat him in a fight. "And Iruka, we trust your judgement, we have nothing to fear." Smiling over to Shinda, Tenshi also ruffled his hair quickly. "Awwh, that's so sweet of you Shinda, good luck little guy." Grabbing Rifi's hand, Tenshi began to walk behind the little Demon, looking over to Iruka. "If we do find another Demon, what's the plan in contact, do we let just Shinda go? Should we show them we mean no harm? Should we talk to them first?" Tenshi was all for finding another Demon, but, they had no idea how they would act... It was a little nerve racking above everything else.

Rifi grumbled to himself, he knew she could hold her own, she had beaten him up plenty of times... Most in which he fought back in too. But that didn't mean she could hold her own against an attack if it happened, even if it seemed unlikely at the moment, he had faith that Iruka did pick a calm spot. He really did care for Tenshi, even if he didn't show it, so he didn't want her getting hurt. But, he knew for his own health and safety, that he had to agree. "Yeah, yeah, I know..." Smiling over to Shinda, Rifi knew he would help them, they were here for him as well, and foremost. Blushing slightly when Tenshi took his hand, Rifi happily followed on behind, listening to the chatter, he himself wondered what the plan was if they found another, not knowing if it would be a good plan to go straight over... But he knew it would be something they had to decide if it happened, and they, again, were here for Shinda, so it would be better to let him decide. "I say it will be up to Shinda how he wanted to approach things..."

Shinda smiled as best as he could, nodding all three of them. Confidence was the word Iruka taught him, when he felt something inside of him that helped the Demon remain brave, and as determined as he always was now. The Demon glanced at his claws, before lowering down to shuffle forwards on all fours, pouncing here and there to smell the ground. There wasn't much of a change in the general smell of the area, only certain aromas that increased as they got closer to the cave complex just ahead. Shinda moved a little ahead, almost jumping over trees to reach the cave's entrance. He sniffed inside, standing up tall to look into the dark mouth. It seemed quiet and empty, no immediate threat was presenting itself to Shinda, or anything his instincts picked up on. Satisfied, Shinda rushed back to the others, almost to tell them the cave was safe before hearing their last conversation. Shinda chuckled down his throat, "I don't know how to approach. They, won't know talk like I do. And I don't remember how we Demons communicate, if there is such a thing. I think... I just wish to watch them, if there are any. It would be up to the Demon to come to us, to mean harm, or to be curious." What Shinda was trying to say was that he didn't plan on tackling the first Demon he saw out of excitement or something. Shinda hummed a little, "Cave seems safe, so we can continue inside."

Neither of the kids knew what they'd face here, nor were they trained to fight. So yes Iruka was going to be on more alert than before, even in a place so quaint like this. But, Rifi somewhat included, they weren't foolish. Any danger too big, and the Angels had their trusty wings to get them away. In fact, perhaps Shinda would be a bigger concern. But Iruka was just going to have to rely on his Demon friend to protect everyone, including himself. Shinda was already acting like a bodyguard, scouting off ahead whilst the Angels strolled on behind, taking in sights. Iruka hummed as he listened to Tenshi's question. A good one too, and Iruka let Shinda have his say first. "It all depends on what kind of Demon we will face. As you all know, Demons vary greatly, which means they might be different to Shinda completely. If that's the case, they'd probably treat him with as much cautious as us Angels. Shinda, I like your motive, just to observe rather than go and make a sudden show of yourself. But, if there is a less than timid Demon in there, then you'll most likely have to fight them." Iruka paused, nodding to Shinda as he gave a go ahead for the cave. "From what I could remember, and what I've seen, social interaction between Demons goes like this: If being friendly towards each other and working together helps survival, then Demons will make bonds. Demons usually show how strong they are to one another, and once the stronger one is decided, they can choose whether or not to form a group with the other... As much as you've known Angel's way of life Shinda, it is very unlike whatever Demon we meet is just going to be your friend or even try and communicate unless you show that you are the stronger one." It wasn't an abusive relationship Demons had. The dominant Demons usually seeked out weaker Demons to help themselves, but also protected the weaker ones like a family. Iruka believed there really was a soul in Demons, for them to form bonds with one another. Although their overall goal in life was to survive and reproduce, deep in the core, and if influenced enough like Shinda, Demons could very easily form their own civilisations, tribes or packs. Iruka almost felt like smiling, this place was right in his element of expertise, the place Iruka felt like his thirst for knowledge just beamed. Iruka looked around the web of cave networks. "Also, I wouldn't recommend trying to talk, it won't make sense to a usual Demon. A class ten like Shinda, perhaps might understand the concept of names, but nothing else." Iruka glanced to the teens, "You two still feeling safe? Any nerves at all, and just let me know."

Note: Tenshi and Rifi will be in this reply, Rifi as NPC, as I don't know what to put for two at the moment without it sounding almost the same. So when more happening I will go back to individual. XD Xxxx
Tenshi and Rifi both looked to Shinda as he approached, both giving a small nod at the suggestion. It was probably the nest thing to do, it would show they mean no harm, and the Demon would get to decided if they wished to come over, as to not spook them away. "Makes sense, good plan Shinda." Tenshi smiled over to the little Demon, before moving her attention to Iruka as he spoke, making sure to listen to what he had to say, humming in agreement every now and then. "Right, how are we meant to show that were stronger, if it comes to that? Its not like we have experience taking part in a proper fight..." Tenshi glared to Rifi as he gave a chuckle, "Maybe not you, but I've been practicing to fight with the elders for a few years, I know a thing or two, and we have Shinda here..." Rolling her eyes, Tenshi made sure to keep a tight grasp of Rifi's hand as they entered the cave, knowing even the slightest chance he would try to explore it alone. Nodding slightly at the mention of not talking to one, Tenshi knew it wouldn't be something she followed, sometimes hearing a voice, even not knowing what they were saying was better then just staring. Looking up to Iruka, Tenshi gave a smirk. "Course not." "Even with the nerves you wouldn't get me to leave... You all seem to forget this is something I've wanted to do for years..."

Shinda kept on walking, switching from waddling on two legs to running forwards on fours, looking back as Iruka explained how things would work. It all made sense, and Shinda almost felt a little... excited? He wouldn't say that the idea of getting aggressive was making him excited, more the idea of being able to prove himself. He was glad to know it wasn't all kill and kill some more with his kind. That there was room for some social interaction, albeit after fighting for control. Shinda nodded to Iruka, before letting the following group talk for a bit. Shinda was listening, all until he heard something odd. It sounded like a cry of sorts, but the cave's walls distorted it massively. It was too far for anyone else to hear but Shinda. Grunting to get the others attention, Shinda's ears opened up some more, making sure to take in all sorts of noises around him. The cry came again, and this time Shinda looked down to where it had come from. "That way." Shinda pointed out to the others, before leaving them behind completely. He'd stop and wait once he'd discovered what the commotion was for, but for now Shinda couldn't wait for the slower moving Angels to keep up. Shinda was almost climbing across the walls to reach the target, leaping into a more open area, where the cave broke down to reveal the green outside and sunlight. Shinda stopped and stared at the ten foot creature before him. He glanced down, spotting some smaller Demon in it's grasp, and forced against the ground. Shinda wanted to look at the smaller one for longer, it was more fascinating, and looked a lot more like him than the hulk that was attacking it. But he couldn't, not as the larger Demon, coated in fur and with horns and spikes covering almost every inch of it's body, found more interest in Shinda. It growled, snorting a few times as it left it's previous prey alone to check Shinda out. Shinda was confused for a moment, before remembering what Iruka said. Standing up as tall as his two legs could get him, Shinda growled back. The Demon didn't like it, letting out a roar towards Shinda, before going to swat the tiny Demon like a bug. Shinda leapt right over the hulk's arm, snarling back before trying to bite at its arm. The Demon ran off a bit to get some distance, going down on all fours to challenge Shinda again. Shinda did the same, eyes moving slightly as the others finally joined him. "The little Demon," Shinda growled, "Stay near it, I will keep this bigger one away."
