Personality: Exist to burn things and win. Pretty much every ideal in the Yaku clan is based on being the best. And being the heir to the clan, Kasai's every move is made with these interests in mind. He loves to fight, and sees every opportunity as a reason to show off his skills as the best fire magic user. Because only one thought every really crosses his mind, Kasai doesn't like to look at the details in a situation. When things get complex, Kasai just turns to his trusty fists to help him out of the situation and back to the reality he's familiar with. Kasai likes people though, he enjoys talking about magic and boasting to others. To him, Sohul should be the only world needed, because it belongs to Humans, the race that loves to fight and compete. Yaku members are born with the concept that Humanity is what they protect, and in enhancing their skills of magic they become the weapons to protect Humans, the sword to fight back against the spiritual races above. So, Kasai naturally dislikes Demons and Angels, any person with wings is titled an enemy and target. But his past helps boost that image along, and Kasai now has a hatred for the creatures of the sky that supposedly protect his race. Aisu is the only person Kasai cannot tolerate that hasn't yet been burnt to a crisp by the fire magic user. Of course, this is mostly due to the fact that they are equally matched in strength, and so even if Kasai wanted to, he can't yet find a way to melt through the ice magic user's powers.
Likes: Fire, simple things, good fights, freedom for Humans, burning things, winning.
Dislikes: Aisu Shinudo, cold things, smart people, Demons and Angels.
Weapons: Uses his magic mostly, skilled in hand-to-hand combat from training in clan.
Magic: Fire Magic: 'Yaku Flames' - A fire magic unique to Kasai's home clan, the Yaku clan. It allows the user complete control of fire, usually in form of boosting physical attack strength. The user, for example, can coat their hands or legs in flames to boost their punches or kicks. They can also fly using fire from their feet, or shoot blasts of fire from their hands or create flaming shields. Because they are the masters of controlling fire, Yaku clan members can also choose exactly what is burnt by their flames and what isn't.
History: The Yaku clan was one of the four first magic clans to form in Sohul. Based solely on fire magic, amongst the Human race that saw magic as a simple tool, the clan saw it is a great power they could use. The clan leader, Onso Ken, and Kasai's father, knew the clans meaning well. And it was he who brought about the clans hatred of Demons and Angels. Onso as a boy lost his own parents to the hands of the Death, and was refused the chance to avenge his parents Death by the powers of justice and judgement. All things controlled by Angels and Demons, and yet something Humans rightly deserved to create themselves. This life was theirs, not play things for the spiritual races to have at to their own pleasures. So Onso taught this to his family, and his beloved son. Kasai was the perfect leader for the clan of flames. Hard-headed and pure in his love for fighting and making the clan proud, Kasai was the ideal leader. He didn't however, play fair with others his age. Kasai was so desperate to prove his family name proud that he acted recklessly, destroying a lot and seeing no end to how strong he could get. His behavior went so far that on occasion, Kasai would go and hunt Demons alone, encouraging his young cousins to come along with him. These missions never went well, the children would return without success, or be dragged back by adults.
Kasai was always in trouble for his desires to hunt when he was too young and inexperienced. Onso would persuade the boy against it, but again and again Kasai wanted nothing more than to fight. This would inevitably lead to trouble. And when he was only ten, the boy lead himself and his group of cousins for another hunt. Except this time they didn't fail, they found exactly what they wanted to find. But what they found wasn't what the young Yaku's expected. The Demon they found was strong, too strong for the barely magic using children. And so Kasai had to turn and run, his cousins following behind terrified and injured. No one died, but some of his cousins were wounded beyond repairs. Onso truly punished Kasai, forbidding the careless boy from leaving the village and suppressing his magic. Kasai for once understood his punishment, and fell into depression. All the good leadership and magic using skills he'd assumed he'd possessed as clan heir were lies, and in doing what he thought was right he'd condemned the clan's young members to lives of fear. Kasai remained quiet, much beside himself, for the next five years. Long years of doing nothing but watch his family grow up around him, Kasai gave up all desires to win against the ultimate enemies, seeing the clan better off without such worries.
But even without the influence of the headstrong and reckless teen, the Yaku clan once again fell before the feet of destruction and tragedy. Kasai could only watch in helplessness as explosions engulfed the clan. The houses crumbled, people cried and screamed, and the Ken family home was collapsed under an eruption of rocky debris. Kasai ran to his home, finding his father buried and gone, nothing but a hand exposed in the rubble. Kasai couldn't mourn for long, the destruction of the clan and his fathers death meant Kasai was in charge of the remaining family's escape. Kasai led them further into the desert, finding rest far away from their previous homes. Kasai prepared himself to lead the clan towards a new home. But his mother and the others refused Kasai's decision. They didn't want the poor boy falling into something he wasn't trained to do, and they wanted something different from the head of the clan. Revenge, Demons had to pay for the death and destruction of their home, and Angels for not protecting the sacred clan lands. So, combining their own powers, the few remaining members broke the seal on Kasai's magic, allowing the years of built up fire magic to awaken. Kasai was given the last airship, and good luck from all the members in acting out their revenge. In a way, Kasai was being banished from the broken clan, with the goal to make a name for his long forgotten and now clan of only legends. Saying his farewells to the family, Kasai traveled out the main lands of Sohul, looking out for ways to make his clan name mean something amongst the Humans of Sohul. He took the Yaku Dragon Ship and left at the young age of 15. Too young to be a leader to a clan, as his family might have seen it. But to Kasai, he thought of himself as the leader to the clan with or without his people's blessing, they years he'd spent thinking they would all be better off without his reckless influence was changed now. The teen believed it was all the Yaku clan stood for now, reckless and impulsive strength that made the Yaku clan the strongest of all magic clans. And he would carry out that name in the years to come as a hunter of Angels and Demons. Using his inherited magic to rid the great world of Sohul from the bitter influences of beings from Aura and Dranar.
Kasai was ready to carry the burden of hunting down both Angels and Demons himself, until he almost crashed into the ship of another clan. The ice clan, Nix. Kasai didn't recognize the similarly aged man sailing, but he knew what relationship Yaku and Nix were in. Kasai prepared his ship and magic to take down the little Nix clan member, until he witnessed something he didn't expect. An Angel attacked the Nix's ship, raining down light magic to try and break the craft in two. Kasai didn't know what to expect of the Nix member, but he himself knew he wouldn't let the chance to show off his clan's better strength in killing the Angel in front of a rival clan. Kasai let loose the fire magic that had been locked away for five years, surprising even himself in how strong it was. The attack on the Angel was sudden enough to throw the winged creature off guard, and into the mercy of Kasai's fire magic. Kasai was able to boast his better power in front of the ice magic user for a short time, before his own problems came to light. Demons, four of them, approached from the red skies. Kasai attacked immediately, obviously being overpowered by the mere number ratio of his situation. But the Nix member decided to fight as well, giving his name as Aisu Shinudo, and helping Kasai in killing the four Demons. Ice and Fire met after the fighting calmed down, and Kasai tried to take all credit for the kills, explaining how the little ice boy wouldn't be around if he'd not intervened during the Angel's attack. Aisu denied, obviously, and the two fought for a whole day.
Thus began the friendship of Aisu and Kasai. A troublesome duo, as they would fight each other more often than they hunted down Angels and Demons and protected Humans. It was Aisu who decided that the roles of hunting should be split between them, and Kasai immediately claimed rights to killing Demons, the race he viewed as being much stronger than therefore too much for the feeble little Nix's man to handle. Aisu eventually agreed to it, and Kasai named himself the Yaku Exorcist, taking no time to begin his life of hunting Demons alongside his Angel Hunter 'friend'.
Free Item: Airship: Yaku Dragon Ship
A very small ship for around four people, it is the Yaku clan's one and only transportation vessel. Given to Kasai as a parting gift, the ship serves the purpose of moving the young Exorcist around Sohul. In true Yaku clan style, the ship has the ability to set itself on fire, and then bash into other ships or burn intruders. Because of this combustion feature, only a Yaku magic user, who is immune to fire, can ride the ship. It is small and fast, making it like a flaming arrow in the sky.
OOC Name: Jazzy

*Update: After the Pandemic, Aisu and Kasai were killed by Exitium, thus becoming Demons. However, in the mist of their rebirth, the two as Demon infants were taken by Chrysos under Exitium's orders, and brought to him once he'd risen into power. There, as barely a few days old, Exitium turned them into Dracomancers, inserting pieces of Dragon blood-infused crystals into their chests. Since then, Aisu and Kasai have grown, unknowing of any better, as Dracomancers, treating Exitium like a father and doing everything he desired. For seventeen years they grew, taught the ways of their kind by their beloved older sister, Chrysos, and now they continue to wreak havoc on the world for the purpose of helping their Demon King create his 'perfect world'.
