Name: Akvan/Shinda (Now just Shinda)
Age: Over 2000 years, (Immortal?)
Gender: Male
Race: Demon
Job: Demon God of Disease
Rank: 6
Appearance: An innocent adolescent. Clearly not who you'd think would cut such a job. Akvan is a small boy, thin and shut down. His hair is a soft, very fair pink-cream color, cut just above his eyes. His eyes are an ominous purple, and seem cut off and distracted no matter what situation he is in. His wings are a shadowy black, barely visible in night. His tail is a stereotypical Demon tail; a dark purple, arrow-pointed tail. Akvan wears a simple black shirt, belts tied loosely around his chest. His clothing is relatively normal except the bandages he wears over his arms. They are filthy and unclean, and always bring an horrid smell with them, that seems to spread over all of Akvan when around others. His voice is quiet, and almost hurt, if you ever hear Akvan talk that is.
Personality: Quiet, shy and depressed. Only a few words to explain the torment of emotions inside of Akvan. He is truly a troubled boy, especially after he was given such responsibilities so early on. He remains shut off to everyone, Demon or other, and rarely considers others his friends. It is a lonely path Akvan leads, considering his job is almost passive, and so he is always followed by death and suffering. Indeed, Akvan appears to be sad and self-pitying a lot of the time. But he is also angry. Angry at himself for hurting so many people, angry at the Demon King for giving him such a job. But Akvan is a non-violent soul, which is only more tragic when his magic abilities more or less on their own.
However, there is a split-personality to Akvan. In a rare occurrence, Akvan's previous personality as a human was lost when he became a Demon. So he became more shy and introverted. This is, however, completely opposite to what he was like as a human, under the name of Shinda. As Shinda, Akvan was reckless and somewhat sadistic. He loved watching people squirm beneath him, and wanted nothing more than the power to stand on top of others. Shinda was a lover of fights, and had a much more extroverted outlook. This split-personality of Akvan's is shunned by the shy Demon God, but he can't help but bring out the rough side of himself when the situation calls for Shinda to appear.
Likes: Life, Affection, Peace and Quiet, Sweets.
Dislikes: Friends dying, Lies, Pain, Sadness.
Weapons: As Shinda, he was a skilled swordsman. Since rebirth, that skill seems to have remained. So when not simply using magic offensively, Akvan will put faith in his sword-play.
Magic: Disease Magic: A plague-like mist that seems to cover Akvan in an invisible coat. It is an invisible toxic magic that works involuntarily, infecting all who get too close to Akvan. The disease can take days or minutes to develop. But if Akvan takes control of the magic, he can cause a mass pandemic of entire villages. Although, the wider his span of infection goes, the more it wears Akvan down. He has control over the tiny, disease ridden particles used in his magic, and so can control exactly what disease they create once infected into someone, and how fast acting that disease should be. Although it is most of the time, a passive magic, Akvan has some loose control on who it infects. He can somewhat prevent the magic from infecting every person around him, otherwise he'd be killing off far too many people. This magic technically kills people, which in current terms would mean exile from Dranar as an Outlaw. However, Akvan amongst other Demon Gods have been given pardons from exile, only when killing under the strict terms of their jobs.
History: It was a dark and dreary night, even for Dranar. Shinda stood around some of his loyal friends, servants to his cause. With sword in hand, the Demon stared up at the cloud lands above them. Angels, they made him sick to the core. They killed Demons mercilessly, created hate and suffering, and Shinda wanted the end of it. He looked to his friends, knowing what they were about to sacrifice, before running his sword through each one. He fed on their flesh, showing no remorse as he did what he thought was necessary for his survival. All was eaten, and Shinda stood alone in the dark and lonely night as he felt fresh power surge into his body. Weak alone, by consuming other Demons, Shinda had finally become a Demonic force the Angels should fear. They would no longer rule over the Demons like a lion over sheep, and Demons would no longer have to sieve around dust and gravel for food. They could take over Aura, use it to expand Demon culture. As Shinda expressed his idea to other Demons, many ignored him, but all feared him. Shinda had always been a Demon who loved to kill, and found the tormenting Angels as a reason to start a war. But none could convince Shinda against his cause. Horns sharpened, and scaly skin tough as steel, Shinda acted as a one man army, storming the cloud world of Aura. He killed many, flying through the disgusting bright towns, killing children with a Demonic grin on his face. The Demon preached the terror of Demons, threatening all Angels of their near extinction. But, forces pushed Shinda out of Aura, and a volley of arrows impaled the Demon, sending him rocketing back down to Dranar.
The weeks that passed were a massacre for Demons. Angels, covered in weapons and armour, and carrying hate in their holy hearts, flew down to Dranar. Confused, the innocent Demons did not know what to expect, and were in disarray when Angels began striking them down like prey. Being less intelligent and holding no weapons, Demons were easily run down. Far away, Shinda jumped back to life, his immortal body healing. It had seemed immortality and indestructibility had be granted to the Demon when consuming his comrades, making Shinda a much greater force to be reckoned with. As Shinda returned to main Dranar lands, he was furious to what his eye beheld. Smoke and fire, and suffering Demons. Holding his hands high, Shinda roared, summoning a dark magic stronger than anything else. His pure hate and power surged into a great thunder storm in the sky, and the ground of Dranar shook as Shinda spoke to all.
"Angeli, Auribus percipite verba mea sunt nequam. Ego Shinda, loquentis ad omnia daemonia, Creatorem a mundi tenebrarum.
As he spoke, more and more Demons raised their hands and claws to the sky, absorbing the very darkness spreading over their home. They created their own dark magic, and were able to strike down all of the light magic Angels that had threatened them. With the threat resolved, there was not one Demon on Dranar no longer willing to follow Shinda. And the Demon ruled over his Demons, commanding them to combine magic together. Using their own hatred and will, the Demons caused their home of Dranar to rise from the ground, saying goodbye to the weak world beneath them as they soared to the skies. With Aura next to them, Shinda lead his force with tooth, talon and dark magic. This new threat was enough to cause the official war to begin. As the war raged one, so did Shinda. But the mighty do fall, and after every kill, Shinda desired more and more hate. He had a lust for killing, and refused to spare anything that moved. His uncontrollable desire to hate soon got to the weaker Demons, those who could not fight were killed on sight, and those who spared any Angel young or sick were tortured to the point of death. Shinda saw no reason for Demons to be anything but heartless killers, as that to him felt like their destiny. To keep himself from dying during the many years of war, Shinda would consume other Demons, making sure he remained immortal, and ethereal. Demon numbers would drop from the war, and none knew who to blame anymore. Shinda was so out of control, he himself didn't consider being on either side. He was no longer a Demon, he was the living embodiment of evil, a Devil.
On the last battlefield, where either side had one last stand against one another, Shinda ripped lands apart with only his sword and infinite magic powers. As the sun shone down on the battle, and put a stop to the war with a King and Queen crowned, Shinda refused to stop. But, the light of the sun turned towards him, burning into his flesh and destroying the evil that was Shinda. The Devil was destroyed of all trace, and the lives of peace between Angels and Demons slowly improved. Shinda was made nothing but that of legend. He was made a warning to Demons, to teach them that too much chaos and hate would force them down the wrong path.
But thousands of years later, the Demon King saw a terrible future in his dream, and as he welcomed a new Demon into his world, realized something was terribly wrong...
Akvan was born into the world of Demons. As a small baby, he was given love and affection Shinda never knew. Demons around him knew of his previous life, and believed that the Shinda they watched die would appear in the personality of the Akvan they had now. But, Akvan grew with a shy manor. He didn't understand why he was where he was, nor what he did as a human to be a Demon. For some reason, Akvan was under the delusional belief that his human life had been blissful, and he'd done no wrong. Memory loss was a guarantee when being reborn, but personality changes were much less common. Perhaps it was this rare occurrence that made Demon King Mo interested in the young Demon, and possibly what lead to Akvan being one of the youngest Demons to be given a role as Demon God. Akvan wanted to refuse at first, he didn't feel qualified enough to become a bringer of chaos and suffering, nor did he want the responsibility. But, keeping details to himself, King Mo granted Akvan the powers anyway. Akvan eventually accepted his position, going through stages of hating himself, as well as conflicting with his violent split-personality, and spent much of his time watching over those slowly suffering by his hands.
Free Item: Magic Enchantment - For Akvan's Sword: The magic enchantment takes form of Akvan's magic, so when inflicting damage, it also has the chance to inflict poison or illness. Akvan usually uses the sword to secretly make invisible cuts on people, to help spread his diseases.
