Note: A few weeks into recovery for Percival.
Comparatively speaking, Percy was worlds better than he'd been a few weeks ago. Exhausted, blubbering and crying constantly, unable to settle. Now, he'd regained some sense of himself, it wasn't easy though. He still couldn't see, Lilith had done what she could to progressively get Percy's eyes used to light again, but the damage was there, no matter what steps were taken he'd never see normally again. At least the blindfold was gone, and Percy was more than happy to see everything as a colourful blur then to be hung up without any sight at all. For a week or so that had been the case, and Percy had been awful. He'd been stuck in a bed not knowing the difference between this room and the one he was once in, and it had not been a good time.
Until something else could be done, Percy squinted at everything. On another note, his arms were also improving. Usually, according to Lilith's understanding of anatomy, muscle building took years, but for Percy there had been an easier way. He'd relied on his own powers, using the Taurus invocation to bring up some of his strength. Doing so daily meant his arms recovered so much quicker, to the point where he could now lift them a little, grasp things weakly. It was almost frightening how quickly his magic returned after being drained for so long, almost as soon as he'd been released, the magic was full again. It was no wonder Percy was an excellent power source for Mo to use, the amount he had was not natural by any fair means.
He'd been better mentally, but considering this was Percy, he'd never been that much better. The headaches were back, of course, returning once the blindfold was off, and any blurry face Percy hadn't seen before became part of the memory pile. Even Lilith, who Percy got to kind of see for the first time. She'd been a crutch through this whole ordeal, as she'd promised him, making Percy feel guilty for spending a lot of time in his capture seeing Lilith as nothing but a tool to keep him distracted. He felt the guilt return for a lot of things, about one particular person. And every time Percy thought of her, his tongue started to crave the taste of alcohol again. He sighed, spending a long while pulling himself up in the bed given to him in Sora, impressing himself with how long he was willing to sit here and rest before escaping.

Nick was good to hold back on visiting the boy, letting his parents and such visit first and allow him to calm down before Nick brought in his less then calm attitude, and the drink he managed to sneak in for the kid, knowing none others would be willing to let him. I mean, Nick was the fun loving uncle, even if self proclaimed. It was easy to get past the guards with them thinking nothing wrong, and Nick happily stormed into the room once given the go ahead. The others were treating Percy like glass, and Nick wouldn't stand for it, getting to know the kid... Percy probably wanted some for of similarity. To help heal from all that occurred. "Percy, my loving nephew. Sorry it took so long to visit, busy man and all helping calm down the war and give Blye time to visit you." In the process of his talking, Nick sauntered on over taking out the small flask and waving it at Percy before giving a whisper. "Some of my good stuff, and this never happened, or your parents will have my head." Literally, and Nick was quite fond of it. Handing over the flask, Nick made himself comfortable beside Percy on the bed, wrapping an arm around his shoulders. "How you feeling though kid. And no sugar coating it..." Nick knew what he was like, and refused to let Percy go deep into those lies.

He welcomed company, voices were a lot more soothing now than they'd once been. And perhaps Lilith's constant talking and blabbering had Percy used to hearing another voices, almost dependent on conversation now, thanks to that damn woman. It took about a minute to lift his arm up to drag a hand across his hair, pulling at some of the knotted curls. He hated not being able to see what he looked like, he could only assume what he looked like from how he felt. His hair had grown pretty long, when he was alone in that prison of nightmares. It had been cut down to the usual length, but Percy being as he is, he couldn't help but worry that it wasn't looking like it should. His arm flopped down by his side the minute he heard someone come in, squinting in their direction. If the voice didn't tell him who it was, then the blob of red hair that Percy could vaguely see did. He smiled a little, "It's fine. Days just kind of... blur into one when you don't do anything." He explained, looking forward into empty space to stop himself squinting. That was until something was held in front of him, nothing but a fuzzy blob, that made Percy frown to Nick before his brow lifted high. He chuckled, raring to grab at the flask as it was handed to him. And as weak as his grip was, Percy held onto that flask for dear life, still grinning. "Believe me, I've been so long without this stuff that I doubt I'll be able to remember even drinking it afterwards, I'm sure my tolerance is all but gone now." He commented, attempting to open the flask with no success. His hands dropped still at the question, letting out a deep sigh. "I'm feeling many things." He replied, "Tired, and not the kind a good rest will fix. Relieved, because I'm not in... a difficult situation anymore. In pain, because... well I'm always in pain so it's nothing I'm not used to. A little tired, because even when I do sleep it isn't pleasant- something I'm sure this flask here will fix." Broken, because once he was healed and walking, Percy had absolutely no idea what to do with himself, what to expect when he finally saw the damage done to the world with his own eyes, and why he was still alive. Something he didn't voice, and didn't want to.

Nick gave a chuckle before reaching over and opening the flask for Percy, making sure the other still had his grip after as he listened to what he had to say. Giving a chuckle at the idea of his tolerance. "Maybe now I have a chance against you." Jokes, don't treat Percy like he is broken, as he knows others have been, it seemed to be working. Nick didn't even let his smile fade at the mention on how the other felt. In fact it widened, he expected much, much worse then that, what Percy described was to be expected, and just showed he was healing. Though Nick knew there was more, something hidden, it still wouldn't be as terrible as he believed. "I expected worse, though I know there's more to what you voice. But don't worry, I'll get those thoughts out your head soon enough. Your officially on the 'heal the world' committee courtesy of me! When your all healed up, your helping me to fix the damage and organise the biggest party the world had ever seen. To commend the day the world won against the beast." So that was a lie, even if Nick was organising a little get together for Percy once he was better to show hoe happy they all were of his return, he even managed to convince Meinu to help out, and play nice. So win for Nick! He wanted Percy to see they didn't hate him for anything, that none of it was his fault and how he still had purpose here, even if it was only as a son to some pretty worried and messed up parents.

Percy nodded after feeling Nick open the flask for him, hands shaking but determined as he took a sip. And Percy thought water had been like liquid gold, this was magical in comparison. He hummed, taking a long sigh, before sipping again. "Give it a week and I'll be normal again." And by normal, Percy meant addicted again, which was the opposite of normal, but he didn't care right now. This drink was a release, more so now than it had ever been before, and he loved it. Sighing again, Percy took a better swig of it, not letting his protesting, recovering stomach tell him otherwise right now. He chuckled again, "Please, the day you get me talking honestly is the day I can see clearly again." Percy commented back, clicking his tongue as he savoured the alcohol's taste. "I don't know about any party you have planned, but I am fixing all the damage I caused... my magic caused." Percy added. He had to admit, a party was a curious thing, and Percy had to fight back the need to try and believe Nick. After all, if anyone could build the biggest party, it was this crazy old man.

Nick bet he would be, though he wouldn't be caught as the one to make it that way. That's for sure. And Nick gave out a laugh as he made himself more comfortable. "You know, I'll hold you to that. The day you can see clearly again, you have to be fully honest with me. Screw the others, as long as its with me we'll be good." Nick knew Percy would one day see clearly again, even if it was with glasses, but it counted, and he didn't care how long her had to wait. Giving Percy a look, Nick sighed. "Wasn't your fault, everyone knows it. It was Mo's, and he's gone now, he cant use you again. Your a victim in this, just like everyone else." It would take years of convincing he knew, but Nick would never stop trying. "And if your helping with one, you help with the other, I'll stick you on the choices in booze for the giant ass bar I'm planning...." He had to convince Percy some way, and to get him forget things for a while. Nick didn't know what it was like to use magic as he never had any, but with that, he knows people, and who was meant to use it compared to those who abused it, Percy never wanted this.

The corner of Percy's mouth lifted into a smile, taking longer sips of his beloved drink as Nick took him up on the offer. "You know I refuse to wear glasses right?" Percy had to state. Because Lilith had brought up the idea to him, and Blye, both relying on spectacles themselves and suggesting them to Percy. And, he'd refused, because Percy didn't want to look ridiculous. He remembered having to try and back track and make it sound like he didn't think his father and best friend looked stupid, which had probably been entertaining for them to experience. It wasn't often that Percy blubbered over his word choices. Percy knew he shouldn't feel like he was to blame, but the magic was still his. He sighed, "He used me... but, the world got to see what I could quite easily be capable of. They saw it once, and now they've all seen it again." Percy explained, drowning his words in alcohol before he went too far into his explanation. He tried smiling again, "You put me behind the bar, and I'll go to the dumb party, deal?" He suggested, prepared to regret asking about this party. Nick was easily encouraged. Percy took another swig, frowning a little into this one. Perhaps he was really lightweight after the whole ordeal, because his stomach wasn't agreeing with this, or his head.

Nick gave an amused look to Percy, he didn't blame the kid. "I can see why you don't want to look ridiculous. But you may not have a choice." Not unless Percy planned on living the rest of his days with blurred vision. And while Nick didn't think glasses were awful things, he had to admit he never wanted any himself. Giving a sigh, yet again, Nick brought Percy in close, and making sure all his thoughts would get through to the kid. "The world saw a trusted figure use a young kid for his own gain in trying to destroy everyone. Not what Percival the time wielding, space manipulating, alcohol loving boy can do. You are not Mo, you are not your pain riddled mother, or your too many issues to count father, your Percy. You get to chose who you are, don't let some jack shit dragon bitch be the one to make people believe in a lie." Removing the flask at seeing Percy begin to falter, knowing he had had enough for now, Nick downed the rest enjoying the burn before looking back to his nephew. "I cant make promises about putting you behind the bar, but you'll get full access to it as if you were. Deal?"

Percy huffed into the flask. He did have a choice, and he didn't care if he squinted for the rest of his life and clung to walls for the sake of not walking into them either. Glasses weren't something Percy wanted to deal with, his hair was already a constant pain on his mind, despite how the boy tried to convince himself that he didn't care about how he looked. He flinched a little to the bigger hug, before starting to relax. Even snorting at Nick's description of the late Mo, unable to hold back his amusement. Once it passed, Percy took the words to heart, trying to let it help mend him a little. Trying, anyway. "If I get to choose I'd like to be Percival Ohere, the kid with perfect vision, more social skills and great hair." All things he'd not get, well except the latter, once turquoise hair was actually an acceptable hair colour and not something so rare. The flask was taken, with the weak resistance Percy could put up to try and keep his hold on it. He huffed and let it go, starting to lean lazily on Nick. "Fine, it'll be close enough... oh... oh this drink isn't sitting well." He mumbled, blinking slowly, feeling the heat start to hit his face. He knew what these signs led to, but Percy didn't like it. His stomach had long since hardened to the fight of alcohol, to a point that even a punch to the gut wouldn't make Percy spill anything. But, he could feel the constitution immediately waver, with a spiking pain to his abdomen. "Might... might need a bucket." Percy mumbled with concern.

Nick ruffled Percy's hair. "Your hair is already great kid. And fuck the perfect vision, see too much with it... And hey, not everyone has great social skills... Look at me, I only know jokes and flirt, ever try making me be serious is a serious manner instead of just words and It just makes me a blubbering idiotic mess. Your great as your are Percy, all the blindness and charismatic incompetence as it is. We wouldn't want you any other way, because then your not you." Nick hoped it would be enough for the kid to know they loved him for who he was, no matter what he's been through or looked like, and Nick wasn't lying about any of it, even the hair. "And hey, if you do end up needing glasses for this 'perfect vision', then we damn well will make them the most badass looking things in the world." The second Percy looked uncomfortable Nick knew it was the alcohol making a reappearance, and made a beeline for a bucket, so maybe sneaking the kid booze was a bad choice, but Nick felt better for it any ways. Putting the bucket in his arms and resting a hand of his back soothing Percy through the pain, Nick didn't stop with his manner. "The first time I did this, I ended up emptying my stomach into my old mans hat... He didn't even pay attention to the added weight before wearing it... I wasn't allowed to touch the stuff for months after, and the hat was never seen from again."

Percy chuckled, looking up at the ceiling, thinking on Nick's words carefully... and also correcting his hair once the man had ruffled it up. He made all of the flaws sound alright, which was comforting. But, it got to the point of Nick saying they all cared for him the way he was, and that Percy was great this way. His smile dropped at that, more than just because of the oncoming sensation of poorly settling alcohol. "I'm not all that great." He mumbled, looking into his own memories, to that moment, the moment he fucked everything up and proved himself to be scum. And honestly, not even torture and blindness could correct what he'd done back then, especially to her of all people. Nick's other reassurance was half heard, given a half hearted smile as Percy just wasn't concentrating anymore. Least of all as the spike of pain in his stomach hit, and the moment he was presented a bucket, everything came back up. It hurt a lot more than Percy remembered it would, and his abdomen still didn't feel right even as he retched until nothing happened. Finally his reflexes calmed down, Percy leaning back, giving Nick a half smile, more of a grimace. "I'd love to make jokes on me being a lightweight, or rather hear you make them... but I think something might actually be wrong with me." Percy stated, very calm about it, and even smiled more. "Which means I'm going to have to tell Lilith that you gave me alcohol." Percy said, a cunning grin on his otherwise pale and clammy face.

"You are that great. Your my nephew, there's no way your not." Nick gave him a little wink before anything else. Percy was great, just by being him, and one day Nick would make sure the kid saw it. Though Nick did sit there in worry at seeing Percy, maybe the alcohol was a terrible idea, but he knew in the long run Percy was glad to have it, even with the consequences, so Nick couldn't really worry about his consequences for giving it to him... Though he wasn't going to take it sitting down. "Percy, I take it back, your a little shit, selling me out like that..." Nick didn't mind, laughed actually, not that he was going to let it go any time soon. "Your going to set that mad woman on me while I cant fight back? I don't have magic you know..." Nick stood, ruffling the hair again before getting Percy some water and heading to the door. "Don't worry, sip on that and I'll find the mad woman... Though I wont lie, to make up for the bashing I'm gong to get for giving you alcohol not just from her but by your parents, Tenshi and your father, I'm expecting me and you to sit down at some point so you can explain what exactly happened between you and Nanari... I wont hate you or look at you differently, but she's different since the day you went missing, and it wasn't from your disappearance..." Nick didn't say anymore as he went looking for Lilith, hell he wouldn't force it out the kid, but Nick needed to know, if only to find a way to help Percy recover, knowing he was likely wallowing in guilt, or indifferent over it all. Neither a good thing.

Nick went pale for a moment, and his comment was enough to make Percy chuckle, almost to the point of retching again. But, he swallowed it down, smirking to Nick. "D... Damn right I am. But you're the one who gave me... what is probably close to poison right now." Percy replied, with a weak and little wink, to imply he was joking and didn't blame the older man for this. "Oh but I am. It's fun to watch Lilith get mad at someone who isn't me." He commented, another chuckle, more gentle and careful than the last. Given some water, Percy did just sit and sip it slowly, trying to settle the flaring pain in his abdomen. He was trying to recall a time when Lilith specifically warned him about drinking, he felt like she had, long ago. But, he knew now probably exactly what she'd said, since the pain refused to subside. He listened to Nick, as the guy got up to get help, and shivered at his mention of Nanari. Percy's eyes drifted down and away, trying not to think about it. But, Nick had forced the memories to come back, and Percy could only picture what he'd done, what he'd said. How he'd felt at the time. It all made him despise himself, and Percy stayed in that state, thinking back to the memory over and over, until Nick returned.
