Note: On the 6th night of the Festival. Based in the new Ballroom of Baransu Tower. This thread can just be snippets of the evenings events for all the Sun kids. Dancing, talking, having fun etc. Also cute parent moment because this is one of the original ships dammit they need more attention!
Akvan was glad the worst was over. He didn't like speeches very much. Proposing to Chester had almost killed him, saying his vows had almost killed him. Now, as a undead immortal, the speech to remember his old brother by almost killed him too. But it was necessary, and Akvan easily agreed when Gensho asked him if he wanted a spot to say some things. He'd said what he thought was important, thanking Onrah for being around, what he'd be without him, what the world would be without his genius and gentle older brother. And that, despite being unconscious at the time, he remembered the day Onrah saved his life in the war, and thanks to that, he was still here to talk about him, and the war was over, thanks to a man who'd died two decades before it had even begun. Akvan had left the upper platform with a few tears, lifting his hand to touch the dark eye-patch Onrah left him with. Then he smiled, got lost in the joys of this new Ball, and spent it with those who mattered the most.
There was good food, a good show, and then a dance. And Chester didn't even have to order the Sun Weapon to dance with her, the moment music played, Akvan stood ready. He wore something similar to what he'd worn to the last ball, modified by his height change and lack of arm. This was a moment he didn't want to forget, and the smile showed that. "My lady, it's been a long time, I-I don't think we ever got to have that d-dance?" Akvan began, giving his wife a short bow. "I might not be a-a great dancer-" The first dance at their wedding could certainly prove that, although to Akvan's credit his legs were artificial- "but I promise n-not to d-disappoint."

Chester paid her respects to Onrah upon arrival, before standing near the front during the speeches, in a way grounding herself from remembering the last ball, which still sat heavy in her mind despite all that was said and done after. She gave her tears and wiped them away, sending her children off to dance and have fun without having to worry about her. She made sure to give smiles over to Akvan all through his own speech, knowing it was difficult for him, but he did good, and Chester was proud of how far everyone came. It was nice seeing some of the others too, Gensho for one, her brothers for another even if for now it was only briefly while they all went and mingled. But the second the music started playing, Chester gave a smile and was planning to drag her husband into one dance, but it made her blush and chuckle as he beat her too it. Curtsying to her husband, Chester took his hand, leading him to the dance floor before resting her head on his shoulder and swaying to the beat before replying. "You never disappoint Akvan, just being here with you is enough. Besides, no matter what you do, nothing will beat our wedding dance, so just sway with me." It was relaxing to finally be back here with him, after everything she feared losing her husband, but they managed to come out on top once more, and Chester couldn't be happier.

"WHAT IS THIS?" Void yelled, mouth open as the bite he'd taken from the meal hung there. Music began to play but Void was completely overwhelmed with taste to care. He swallowed, drooling, taking more bites, and looking around his table. "You guys should eat some of this, it's great!" He said, pushing a place closer to his friend's seat. His friend looked at the expertly prepared food, and pawed at it with it's fluffy foot. Another got onto the table, purring, taking food from other friends. Void watched his table of friends with a smile, all the many cats he had now, thanks to his old fluffy grey thing. She'd left him with plenty of friends, friends Void didn't go anywhere without. And with his perfected sad face, no one would refuse letting Void go everywhere with his litter of new friends. He scrapped more food into his mouth, finally noticing the music and looking around. He smiled softly to his parents dancing together, then looked around at other guests. He looked for his siblings, making sure they were all enjoying themselves. And Void was also looking for something else, something of great importance.
He looked around at anyone he didn't know, anyone who looked strong. He saw a table of stronger looking guys, perhaps peace fighters during the war a long time ago. Void got up, trotting over, followed by his trail of cats. He marched over to the men, hands slamming onto their table, giving them a bright, Void-smile. "You all look super strong, is anyone here looking for a super powerful sword to use perhaps?" Void asked. Met with confusion, his head turned and he pointed out Eira. "My sister over there is looking after the best sword in the world, and we are looking for someone to use it, any one of you think you can do that?" Void asked, attempting to get Eira's attention and bring her over. The sword was of course Draiko, after the events of a long time ago, when they fought to free Cory and Comet, and Draiko didn't make it. He'd been turned into a weapon like their dad. But, unlike their dad, the Sun children had yet to find Draiko a wielder, one the boy himself saw as worthy, so he could finally reappear. It was Draiko's fault, being so picky, but Void and Eira especially weren't giving up, which led to situations like now.

Eira tried to stick to herself during the ball, just watching to see if she could find anyone worthy who may have a chance to wield her brother, she needed her twin back, because just talking to a hunk of metal was getting tiresome, and lonely. "Come on Draiko, you need to pick someone, otherwise it'll be another year I'm left without my twin..." Eira was getting upset with him more then anything, but nothing she said or did was enough to persuade him. Her and Void tried so hard to look for people that may have a chance, like the ground Void was with now as gave her eldest brother a wave and smile. "What about that lot? There cant be many other choices out there, we have asked so many." Shaking her head, Eira just went and watched their parents dance, smiling softly to it, before helping herself to a drink. "I can always make you dance with me, its not like you can stop me..." It probably looked strange talking to herself, but Eira didn't care, she knew the truth, as did her siblings. Keeping an eye out however for the others, she gave a chuckle when watching Yasmin be flirted with, and Cory scaring people from under the table, Rebi surprisingly was dancing with Luna, though she shouldn't have been surprised by that. She couldn't see the others from where she was, but expected them close if they came with, and she expected they did seeing how father was giving a speech, and mother insisted on them joining. Heading over to Void, Eira gave a smile to her brother. "I don't think Draiko cares for these men either. Maybe we should just enjoy the dance for a bit and start back up again."

The group were all obviously interesting in wielding a magical sword, but whilst that was good, Void would be careful. He wasn't handing his brother over to just anyone, they needed to be perfect. But of course, Draiko would judge them himself, which was part of the massive problem here: Draiko hated everyone other than his siblings, and they were the only people who couldn't wield him. He glanced over to Eira, then watched her shake her head, dropping his smile for a moment. "Sorry guys... guess he's being fussy still." None of them seemed to get it, but Void moved on anyway, hearing some scoffs of surprise as his group of cats followed close behind. He took a look around himself, seeing Mori try and ignore anyone offering her a dance. Fawn was obviously loving the dance-floor. And Comet was hiding in a corner somewhere, although he seemed to be talking to some others, a small smile on his face. Hebi wasn't here, he didn't like festivals, or going anywhere anymore. He'd been convinced to change his ways years ago, but still wanted more. He liked being appreciated, or being smart, so he did things on his own most of the time. Void didn't mind, he was just glad Hebi wasn't like he'd been before. Everything was almost perfect. He glanced to Eira, giving her a sad smile. "You know Draiko, you need to stop being so picky." Void said, hearing a huff in the back of his mind. "Alright... we'll try again tomorrow. How's it going Eira? Tried the food yet, it's really really good. And I know I say that about anything, even the cat food I accidentally ate last week, but I'm serious this time."
