Immortal and powerful as he was, Akvan couldn't predict what he'd seen. His body might be sulking in the coldest region of Sohul, but his mind followed Chester. A little skill the Sun weapon discovered, that he could see through the eyes of his wielder, if he wanted to. And so, Akvan had seen all of it, the confrontation with the two youngsters, how... similar they were to Chester and Akvan. Then the real reveal, that had Akvan subconsciously darting to his feet, eye watering as he looked at these children, they were his children. They gave their names, Void and Eira, and then explained how there were more. Akvan paced around, desperately wanting to join Chester over there. But, inside he was still furious at his position right now, and these were his children, Akvan didn't want them seeing that side of him. He'd contacted Chester, assuring her he would join soon, and after a few deep breaths, Akvan stood ready. He glanced down at the ring, in his gut, something told Akvan that he could just will himself to wherever his wielder was. But, Akvan didn't want to just appear in front of them all, so he kept the ring in a pocket, facing the blizzard outside. Forming into mist, Akvan let the wind carry him, as fast as the gusts usually travelled.
He made it very quickly to Minato, the last place he'd seen Chester in, landing in the outskirts. Akvan landed, transforming his clothes into less tattered, bloodstained ones, and began walking. The walk should prepare him, as if there was any way to prepare for the sudden news that he was a father to twelve children. Akvan wondered what kind of grip his mother had over them, but shuddered, and tried to pray they weren't being commanded by the Goddess. The sun was setting now, light diminishing with it, leaving a dark blue sky behind, stars appearing by Gensho's command. Akvan gave a soft smile to the thought of his brother, but it soon dropped. Another loved one, who'd one day only exist in Akvan's memory. The street grew quiet, everyone seeking warmth inside from the chilling night, so it was easy for Akvan to pick up a soft sound nearby. Down an alleyway, Akvan stopped to listen. There were soft moans, little cries, of a young child. He walked further into the dead-end, seeing the body of a small boy, hiding behind rubble that had pushed into the alleyway. He cried, shaking like a leaf. Akvan walked closer, getting a look at the boy's face. He had pure white hair, and as his eye opened wide to see Akvan just appear before him, the Sun weapon saw they were a brilliant purple. And, although Akvan was sure there were others out there with white hair and purple eyes, he just knew this was one of his. One of the twelve children, a check on the boy's soul was enough to confirm that. The boy pushed himself into the corner, whimpering away from Akvan, pulling down on the cap he wore on his head to try and cover his eyes. Akvan just silently watched, before kneeling down, offering a smile. "N-n-n-no! S-stay away g-g-ghost!" The boy cried, making Akvan frown. But it relaxed into a pained smile as Akvan realised what his son meant. He was just a dead man used as a weapon now, Akvan supposed he no longer had a soul, that another Sun child could see. Slowly sitting down, Akvan held his hand out to the boy. "I-I'm not a ghost, just a little... odd. H-here, take my hand, you'll s-see that I'm telling the t-truth." Akvan suggested. Slowly, the boy shuffled forward, placing his little hand over Akvan's. At, to the boy's surprise, it didn't pass through the hand. Akvan smiled warmly, "You're a-a Sun child, aren't you?" At the mention of the words 'Sun child' the boy retracted his hand, pushing himself back into the corner. "H-h-h-how did y-you kn-know th...th-that?" His son asked, shivering again, tears down his plump cheeks. Akvan gestured to try and calm him down, "N-no, it's alright, don't worry. I... I-I only know, b-because I'm a Sun child too." Akvan replied, then offered his hand forward again, this time letting it transform into golden mist. The boy seemed suddenly calm, when looking at the ethereal hand.
He didn't say anything, instead, the boy looked to his own hand, willing it to turn into a mist as well, but a light purple one. Akvan smiled softly, watching the little purple hand place itself over his golden one. "I'm Akvan." Akvan introduced. The boy's brow pushed together for a moment, and he tugged on his shirt a little, before muttering back. "I-I... I-I'm C-c-comet." Akvan nodded slowly, folding his hand over his son's. "Well Comet, and I-I know this might s-shock you a little, but... I'm y-your father." And shock Comet it did. The little boy's eyes widened again, looking fearfully up to Akvan, before thinking about it a little more. It was almost visible on Comet's face that he was debating on whether a father was a good or bad person, and it was relieving to see the little boy start to cry again. And before Akvan could say anything, Comet launched himself forward, squeezing his short arms around Akvan's stomach. The Sun weapon relaxed, blinking his eyes a little, to stop himself from wailing like his son was, before returning his hand to normal, and supporting Comet's back with it. He gave the boy a moment, Comet had suddenly felt a wave of relief at finding one of the two who'd made him, and who he and all his siblings could rely on. He had someone to hold close, which seemed to be all Comet really wanted. Akvan began stroking a little of Comet's hair, as the boy's hold, as small as he was, grew tighter. "What were you d-doing out here, all a-alone, Comet?" Akvan asked calmly. The boy sniffled, "D-d-draiko r-ran off t-to fight s-some scary people. H-h-h-he forgot I-I w-was there, so I-I h-h-hid away f-f-from the fighting." Comet explained. Akvan nodded his head a little, patting his son's back. "Well I-I'm glad you didn't get involved, f-fights can be very scary... Shall we go to the others now? Y-your brothers and sisters, they're p-probably looking for you, and y-your mother." "M-mother?" Comet replied quickly, shiny eyes looking up to Akvan's. He smiled down, "Yes, you h-have a mother too, shall we g-go see her?" He asked. Comet looked excited for a moment, before glancing out to the dark street. His hug got tight again. Akvan looked too, then tapped Comet's head. "Hey, i-it's not t-too bad out there. I'll b-be with you, nothing bad will happen... Here, w-why don't you climb up, onto m-my shoulders?" Akvan offered. And after a little more time just being something to cuddle, Akvan got the boy to climb up, holding tight onto one of Comet's legs whilst the boy held onto tufts of pink hair. "Let's go." Akvan said, before slowly walking out of the alleyway, into the silent Minato street. It was barren of everyone, and street lights were slowly fading out as the people charging them fell asleep. Comet's hold tightened, but Akvan kept walking. "C-comet, why don't you look up for me?" Akvan asked, and the boy did so, his young eyes peering up at the sky full of stars, forming a sea of shining lights. Comet seemed to make a noise of adorable awe, which made Akvan chuckle. "Y-your Uncle, he makes all of th-those lights for us. They're t-to keep us safe when it's d-dark, aren't they n-nice?" Akvan asked, he felt the hands on his head relax a little. "Uh huh." Comet replied simply, mouth opened as he watched the sky constantly.
They slowly made their way after the others, Akvan following some of Chester's recent memories on where exactly to go. And only stopping a few times when Comet started getting excited over shooting stars, or got startled by a sudden noise, they eventually got there. Wherever they were meant to be, this village where all the children were living.
