Note: We're bringing him back, I miss my stuttering baby.
The mountain had been the way to go. Because, directly beneath it, was a circular ravine. It looked like a chunk of this frozen land had been scooped right out, revealing a cave system that had been hidden by the layers of ice above it. But now it was all exposed, and for sure, Akvan was hiding inside. The lost souls of Sun children always ran, to spots that met their needs. The ones Shinda had known never got far, and they tried to run to places to cause the most damage. But, Akvan had much more emotion than his Sun brethren, he'd spent a while as a mortal, experiencing life. Whilst they wanted to do nothing but give into the need to destroy, Akvan tried to run from it, run to a land so empty and barren, his spirit couldn't hurt anyone. Just one example of his need to help others. The group travelled down into the ice caves, all parts of this frozen place was white and blue. This cave was no exception, except from how it reflected light, bent it and made new colours, that was almost mesmerising to watch.
Down here, it was a little more tolerable, the blizzards didn't constantly batter Shinda and the others about, which meant the Demon felt a little more lively now. He continued to search out the caves, looking for dead ends, and signs of a bright light. And he'd eventually found it. Down one dead end, visible in the ice walls of the cave, Shinda saw a golden light flicker against the reflective wall. He didn't engage, but return to Chester and Tenshi, giggling just a little. "Found him." Shinda said simply, smiling, glad this expedition had finally shown results. But, now was the hard bit. Shinda took a deep breath, "It doesn't get any easier though." Shinda began. "We Demons had never caught a Sun child this far into their deaths. So, it's not possible to simply suck Akvan's soul into the crystal. Thanks to the research I did in Aura, the Angels found a method of late capture... We need speak the Sun child's name, and it will lock him in place, like bindings. From there, the one who would wield the Sun weapon," Shinda looked to Chester, "Would need to say something to appeal to the Sun child, and cause his struggle against us to end. Chester... I trust you'd know what to say, that would make Akvan relax." Shinda gave her a slight smile. "Tenshi and I will focus on restraining him, otherwise, we'll all be attacked. Remember, whilst it is his soul, it's not really Akvan. He may be hiding here because of the kind of person Akvan was, but this soul is still a pure Sun child, and it won't hesitate to try and destroy anyone trying to capture it, just an instinct. Akvan.. also won't remember any of this, once we bring him back." Shinda explained, before looking towards the fateful cavern, seeing the faint golden glow from here. Nodding his head, Shinda prepared to move, "Chester... are you ready for this?" Shinda asked, knowing what pressure she had, that Shinda had warned her of. This was in the end, Chester's decision, with Shinda's utmost respect.

Now Chester was here and close, she had no idea what to say, she hoped it would come natural to her. It was Akvan she was talking to, even if she couldn't see him, and she knew deep down he would listen to her, even if it was random garble, because she believed the man she loved wasn't lost, no matter what the others say. But was she ready for this? The possibility of him attacking her not knowing... Well obviously the answer was no, but she didn't have a choice, he would do the same for her, and she loved him, she wasn't about to lose him over something like this. Giving a small nod to Shinda, Chester removed her supplies and handed then to Tenshi to do as she wished for now, they may need the medical supplies, and Chester wasn't about to risk throwing them around in her back pack if things did get ugly. "I'm ready as I'll ever be." Walking in the direction he came, following where Shinda pointed out, Chester stood in front of the form, a little distance away in case, even if she couldn't see it and took a breath. "Akvan... My beloved... My everything. Please I need you with me, I cannot live without you, you made a promise remember? So just listen to my voice yeah? Remember all our good times, the day your brothers threw that sword away, you found me trapped by spider webs, it still makes me embarrassed to this day that... But I wouldn't have changed it, god everyone knew since that day how I felt. Non stop teasing from Ru, hell, Gensho knew the day we met... And here we are, married, still as much in love the day we decided to give it a go, and hey, our family has only grown since then, you have your sisters, the clan, my niece and nephew, they wouldn't want to lose their uncle... So I need you with me okay? I've lost you too many times to let you go now." Chester held out a hand to him, trusting in Shinda and Tenshi, hoping that maybe he would just know... She couldn't lose him now, not after everything.

Shinda gave Chester a long look, before smiling weakly, before giving her a hug. Shinda released, and nodded to her, "Good... this will work... we'll get him back." Shinda replied, before moving into the cavern. He glanced to Tenshi, gesturing to her to go the right, whilst he handled the left. They split, once in the larger room of ice, with Chester in the middle. Once inside, Shinda finally got a look at the actual soul. It took the form of a flickering silhouette, wearing a cloak, messy hair. And, as it turned, although blurred, Akvan's face looked as it did before. One eye was missing, not just closed, but gone completely, as well as the majority of his right arm. Also, the soul didn't walk, but float, missing it's legs as well. Certainly took form of what remained of Akvan's body, but it was oddly hard to look at, perhaps the destructive power just swarming around this ethereal entity. Shinda nodded once more to Chester, and she began to speak to him. There was no acknowledgement at first, Akvan showed no signs of even understanding the words. Then, the soul made a hissing noise, flinching to the side as part of its form began to be pulled towards Chester. Shinda almost smiled, before watching Akvan struggle. He tried to resist, making a noiseless attempt to pull himself back and away. The soul then turned to look at Chester again, or... perhaps behind her. Shinda's eyes widened as the soul, floating swiftly through the air, attempted to rush straight passed them and away. "Oh no you don't, little fucker. I didn't freeze my tail off for you just run away, Flood!" Shinda called, using the Sun child's original name, rather than the one he adopted as a mortal. As soon as Shinda spoke the words, his shadow turned a bright golden colour, and a chain appeared, that attached itself to the soul, connected to Shinda's shadow. Tenshi did the same, and together they'd halted Akvan's attempt, but the soul still struggled, refusing to give in. Shinda dug his claws into the ground, the soul's attempts to move were actually beginning to drag the Demon and Tenshi with him. "Oi, Chester! Get closer!" Shinda instructed, hoping that having the crystal closer would quicken it's attempt to capture the soul. Akvan did seemed to fight back a little, he sent a poorly aimed blast towards Shinda's voice, but the Demon watched it skim passed his face, blasting and disintegrating part of the wall just behind Shinda. He could quite easily turn and do that to Chester, at point blank range, so Shinda just hoped this last little push would be enough.

Chester watched as the soul ran, wondering why he didn't listen before the name Flood came out from Shinda. She forgot all about that name, not having it said in so long, of course it would respond to that, it was Akvan's birth name after all. She watched the struggle at a distance, Tenshi and Shinda stopping Akvan from running too far, she could see the struggle and was reluctant to get closer just in case. But she held out the crystal back on her ring finger, hoping to draw him in that way, but knew it was taking too long. Jumping slightly at the attack, Chester took a breath before making up her mind and hugging Akvan close, well, what part of the soul she could, making sure the crystal rested above his heart. "Forgive me for this is you never wanted it." She knew it may be a tough adjustment for Akvan, the thought of living forever, even after she was gone, but she knew he would help so many people, would love again, as much as it pained her to believe. He was sucked back into the crystal, longer then she wished for, but quickest they would have ever got, before she held it close and gave the small bit a kiss, looking to Shinda and Tenshi. "Thank you." Giving both a nod, planning to thank them properly later on, Chester looked to the crystal once more, giving a small smile to it and herself. "Akvan? Mind coming out? I need to see you, hug you close... Let you know you did it, the wars over in person yeah?" There was so much to catch up on, not just with him, but she sure as hell was going to start there.

With whatever thread of thought the dead man had left, he'd forced himself to hide. Akvan wanted to deny that he was even still existing, seeing nothing but darkness, only feeling odd sensations as his soul seemed to wonder. It wanted to destroy, but constant refusal allowed Akvan to at least hide himself away somewhere where the overwhelming power wouldn't hurt anyone. There, Akvan just remained, pestered only by one thing. A voice he'd learnt to hate, one that had disowned him, and yet now had the nerve to try and talk to the dead Sun child. His mother, calling to Akvan constantly to join her side once more, fix the world with her method of extinction. Holding onto what memories he could, of those who lived as the reasons Akvan had left her to begin with, he continued to refuse. She tried to warn Akvan, of something she called inevitable. That, soon enough, those weak hearts of those Akvan loved would swoop so low, and turn him into their eternal slave. Akvan had never known about Sun Weapons before, only that they were remnants of his siblings, but like instinct, it seemed to make sense to him now. Akvan knew exactly watch torture a Sun Weapon went through, and he deterred from his mother's warning, believing his loved ones, would never do so knowing what it meant.
And Akvan had believed that right up until they'd found him. He felt a great stress on his soul, before vision slowly came back to him, pulsing from darkness to an icy blue light. He found himself looking around a room made of ice, and felt his body, this weird ethereal mass, being dragged towards something. Akvan tried to move, but he was locked in place, chained by two sides. He could see nothing, in this small vision he had, only until someone came closer. Akvan saw Chester's face, and something glowing, menacing to the soul, in her hand. It was at the centre of the force sucking Akvan in, which immediately told him what was happening, to his despair and disbelief. There was no voice to his spirit, barely a face, so whilst Akvan mentally screamed for her to stop. But, she came closer, embracing the spirit, and in that moment everything went dark once more. It felt like being shook awake, except without a body. All Akvan heard was Chester's voice, now calling to him.
"Akvan? Mind coming out? I need to see you, hug you close... Let you know you did it, the wars over in person yeah?"
If he had a voice, Akvan would be breathing heavily right now. He was captured... they really did it, they really decided to turn Akvan into an immortal weapon. Did Chester even know what this meant. Akvan felt... angry, betrayed. What was this? Desperation, so much so that they'd all decided to through Akvan's right to die away? He planned to ignore Chester's call, if it wasn't for some sort of force, pulling on his mind. Of course, he was enslaved now, there was no going against the wishes of the one who owned him. So, in a flash of golden light emanating from the ring, a form of mist appeared before her. Like reverting from Eteru, the mist hardened and came together to Akvan usual self, exactly how he'd been left as he died, clothing remaining, legs still artificial, one eyed and now missing an arm. He turned, looking to Chester with an emotionless glance, before spotting the other two in the room. Tenshi... and then Shinda. Akvan's gaze hardened, turning into a glare towards the Demon. Without even a word, Akvan lifted an arm, sending a ball of fire towards the Demon. It exploded... but around Shinda, as if he was in a bubble, protected from the blast. Confused, and still without talking, Akvan ran up this time, aiming a punch towards the Demon. But the moment his fist was about to impact, Akvan's arm was suddenly held in place. Looking at it, around the wrist was a glowing, gold manacle and chain, connected back to the ring, Chester held. Slowly, Akvan dropped the arm, glaring to Shinda instead. "I... I though I-I... gave you you're f-freedom. The f-freedom to die... Why didn't y-you die?" Akvan demanded, purposely avoiding the others, specifically Chester, in this enraged moment.

Chester knew she made the wrong choice the second Akvan came out and ignored her. Hell, she figured the only reason he was even out right now was because she asked him to, or told him as he might have taken it. And it killed her inside that he had yet to even look at her. Even worse when seeing how he couldn't attack Shinda, as he looked to the ring... The chain to her stopping him from moving any further, and she never wanted such restrictions for him, even to keep him alive. She hoped that maybe he would be able to venture further in time, because she would be more then willing to let him, even if she wouldn't release him, so that those out there who might use the power for evil wouldn't get a hold of him. Taking a few steps forwards, slow afraid on how Akvan would act, Chester answered instead. "He helped me, find you... He's trying to live to help the future, make up for his mistakes... I trust him, his death would have brought little after you helped him to see, Shinda has no reason to die." Taking the last few steps forward, Chester reached out for her husband, smiling softly. "The war's been won... There's a lot to explain, but it was also thanks to you, for all you did to help rid the world of the evil magic Shinda gave, you did what you wanted to, and we came after you, to bring you home." Chester honestly didn't know what to say without angering Akvan further, and she feared what might become for them now, she could see even when emotionless, what he was feeling, and it wasn't something she wished to see again.

Akvan's glare was fixed on Shinda, the Demon taking no action against the pointless assault. Not that it would matter if Shinda fought back, not for the Demon's case. It must be obvious already that Akvan couldn't cause him any harm, not unless his wielder told him to. The moment of silence was covered by Chester's voice, and Akvan's eye moved a little to turn to her, before moving away. "And... I didn't want to die yet. I didn't deserve to see them, not as I was. Like Chester said, I wanted to fix my mistakes first." Shinda explained. Akvan stared at him for a moment, a silent gaze of judgement, before the Sun Child sighed. "So... my s-sacrifice for your s-sake was just a mistake." Akvan muttered, looking to one of the icy walls, "And... b-bringing me back to serve a-as a slave to this world... is c-considered fixing it? If so... c-congratulations, hope th-this clears up some of your sins." Akvan added, his face and voice were monotone, emotionless, but deep down it was impossible to miss the distaste to Akvan's words. Chester spoke again, and this time she decided to move close enough that it was impossible to continue to ignore her. With a slow turn of his head, Akvan turned to look to his wife... his... wielder, with nothing but a indifferent gaze. He wanted to honestly not say a single word to her, attempt to ignore Chester's existence because frankly, it was just too painful to think about her right now. But, Akvan would say one thing. "What I wanted... Chester, I-I wanted to d-die." Akvan replied, before moving forwards, around the attempted hug to try to walk straight out of the caves. Of course, as soon as that certain distance was reached, Akvan felt a chain around his wrist, tugging back towards the ring. Rather than just accept it, this time, Akvan pulled harder on the chain. It would make no difference, not that Akvan cared right now. Getting his fury out on everything by aggressively pulling on the chain would have to do.

Chester just watched Akvan, tears filling her eyes with every word, she knew now he hated her, that he never wanted this, and he couldn't even pretend for a moment and give her a hug... This was worse then losing him, seeing him here, and ignoring her, like she was nothing to him, even after everything. Letting the tears fall, Chester took a step back, dropping her head at the rejection and truth, looking to the ring, Chester gave a shuddering breath before looking back up. Tears and bloodshot eyes, more so then ever before. Removing her wedding ring this way was the hardest thing she ever did, but she held it out and dropped it into Akvan's hand, stepping back and looking to where they entered as she collected her supplies from Tenshi. "All these years I have loved you, you know that. I cant live without you, when I thought you were dead, it killed me inside, if not for Tenshi and Shinda here, I would have followed. But they gave me hope, I wish they didn't... Because death would be a lot less painful then this. Your free then Akvan... Do what the fuck you want. It pains me to say but I'm through trying to save us both, I need to focus on me now, so go, you have your freedom, I hope its worth it. I already lost everything once, what's losing the one thing that gives my life meaning going to do to me now?" Chester said no more as she left the cave, back into the blizzard outside, she ran as far as she could, eyes burning at the wind, before dropping into the snow and bursting into tears, the drops sticking to her skin, not that she cared anymore.

Akvan would accept the pain now. He'd have to get used to it, for the rest of forever. The pain of losing the one thing he cared so much for, it was better to have Chester hate him back than the other option. Watching her die... forever living with her as just a memory. After his moment of struggling, what could be considered on a level just a tantrum, Akvan watched Chester walk up to him again, this time with the ring held out. Akvan showed nothing on his face, letting the ring drop into his hand, closing it around his fist, before just listening, still with an indifferent look on his face. Chester left, and with a scurry of footsteps, Shinda soon followed, glancing back at Akvan, before rushing after Chester into the blizzard outside. It was the moment she was gone, that the neutral face Akvan wore soon creased, brow dropping down, eye closing tight as his breath shuddered. "A-and I c-can't live without you Chester... s-so... what the hell am I going t-to do when you're gone?" Akvan muttered into the cold air, breathing in shudders, before calming himself down. Swallowing, Akvan went to go back to the end of the room, where his soul had hid, only to stop and look towards Tenshi, who still stood there. His pained expression returned to the indifferent one, and Akvan just waited for whatever lecture the Angel wanted to give him.

Tenshi stood there in tears listening to it all, heart going out Chester but not blaming her at all. Holding no resistance when she left, and watching Shinda run after her, Tenshi knew she was in good hands why she had a little chat with this fool. She saw the emotions on his face as Chester left, and looking at him blocking them out when he focused on her gave more anger then anything, she reached over to him, for the ring, intending to keep him close, talk some sense into him, make sure his views changed. "Your a fucking fool Akvan. Chester almost committed suicide when you died, and wanted nothing more then you back, you both deserved that happily ever after." Tenshi turned towards the cave opening, walking towards it before focusing back on Akvan. "You know, I would have given anything to bring back Rifi all those years ago, So I can understand why Chester did this, took ages to decide as well, knowing what would happen. And you know, I don't blame her for this. She's lost so much in life, never met her parents, almost lost Ru, her child, your child. And you just threw it all in her face like it meant nothing. You sicken me Akvan, makes me wonder if you ever loved her at all." Tenshi had nothing more to say as she rushed after the others, going to make sure Chester got home safe and sound, and help Shinda start a new life here. Akvan could rot for all she cared now.

Tenshi had been a voice in the past that just poured with advice, words that had brought Akvan back up. But, he wasn't having this anymore, her advice was always to try and bring sense to Akvan, make him fix his mistakes and be happy. But... the Sun Weapon didn't deserve happiness. It was a bitterly convenient thing that his power's strengthened from sadness, which only proved to Akvan what a wallowing, callow soul he really was. Akvan knew, just knew Chester would pull something like suicide. She'd threatened to do it a long time ago, after getting Akvan back the first time. It was painful to think that she couldn't live without him, but Akvan wouldn't show pain. Instead, and probably only increasing these vibes of foolishness and wickedness, Akvan scoffed. "Yes... h-happily ever af-after. A life t-together, until one of them d-dies, and the other i-is passed a-around for e-eternity as a weaponised slave. But a-at least he gets to spend a little t-time with his love." Akvan replied. He wasn't moving, even as Tenshi closed in and took the ring. Akvan didn't plan on leaving here anyway, not unless summoned... but that wouldn't be happening now, would it. More words from Tenshi, getting nothing from Akvan this time. He barely even watched Tenshi, slowly turning with a sigh, and heading back to the end of the room. There was a scatter behind him, the ring dropped to the floor as Tenshi began leaving. Akvan waited until the Angel vanished into the ice, before picking up the ring, carrying it with him to the back wall, where Akvan turned and slumped down against it. He sighed heavily, "It w-would be s-selfish of me to think I too lost th-things, wouldn't it? I've a-always lost, though." Akvan muttered, lifting the ring up to look at. "It only makes s-sense that I've lost you t-too."
