Notes: 'Niger sicut cor meum.' = Black as my heart in Latin.
Emeri finally found the way to put her plan into action after so many years of waiting, the war that had raged on for much of that time had finally found a solace, and she knew how to exploit that for her own gain. It was easy enough sneaking into the tower despite its 'defence' should she say. Well, easy enough to kill every guard that got in her way. How it was fun watching them drown or be burned from the inside out, it gave Emeri far too much joy, and she almost forgot the reason for coming here. But alas no, she continued on, until she was waltzing into the main room, smiling to all the Nobles seated there as she made her grand entrance to their end. "Gentlemen, Ladies! How pleasurable you are all here today, oh how it fills my heart with such joy." She heard the questions, the shouts for the guards, but ignored it all as she let each man and woman in here realise they were helpless to the witch, and it filled her with much sickening joy and watching the tremor travel through their bodies. "Oh yes, none will come for you, I made sure of that... No, no. Don't speak, you mindless screams and words not cared for, you don't want the last thing you say to be, how shall we put it... Unwise and foolish, now do we? Ahh much better." Emeri smirked to the group, and glared as one man stood above the rest to personally address her. How dare he... "What is it you desire? Money? Power? We can give you those..." Emeri laughed, oh how they could, but for that to be, she had to dispose, of the pettiness of the past, start a clean slate so that she can pull people to her side, poor little minds, not knowing what was to come. "Money, power, all the same... But the power I desire... I need not you for..." Emeri didn't beat around the bush any longer, closing her eyes and opening them, black voids taking over as the room began to stir, and magic filled the air. The black hole opened up, sucking everything within the room in, all but herself, the Nobles didn't even have time to react as they were lost to the world, as if they never existed in the first place. As the black hold closed, Emeri let a smirk take over her face, part one complete: Rid of the Nobles. Step two begins, lie her way into being next ruler. And then, her true revenge can begin to unfold... Blye wont know what hit him.

Rex hated this war from the second it began. He wasn't in Aura as the attack happened, helping some humans down below with the loss of their daughter, but he sensed and saw the effects, knew what had become. Things only got worse from there on out, he didn't really partake in any efforts for it, his nature not bringing him to help any side if he could not help them all. Instead he set up camp in the Taiyo Clan for anyone who needed it. While he knew little of healing in magic forms, his past experiences has lead him to know basic aid, and due to his guardianship he was able to play as counsellor to many. Little things that meant he stayed out of the unnecessary fray, but still helped anyone who needed it, no matter their race. It wasn't until the moments leading to the end of the war, did Rex finally snap and planned to personally address the Nobles into a peace treaty, with the King missing, and the other busy with the war efforts, someone had to take a stand, even if it cost him his own life. But walking into the building to see many dead was not on his agenda, and seeing the young living woman standing there even less so, it sparked panic on her condition even if she looked fine. "My dear, are you alright? Do you know what happened here?" There was little he could do to help right now, not until he knew of the events, he only hoped she was calm enough to answer.

It wasn't long before someone turned up, an Angel no less. Emeri faked being a little freaked out, not enough to really be considered bad, but enough to help her plan be set in stone, as she headed over in 'panic' to the Angel, grasping onto his arm a little in reassurance. "It was awful, the Nobles... I came to talk to them about the war, I couldn't deal with watching any more of my friends die... But when I got here so many were dead, the Nobles running, like they couldn't fess up to what they helped to cause... I was just so sick of people dying... And they left." Emeri took a fake breath to 'calm' herself before moving back and standing tall. Looking to the Angel, he seemed to be one of the last few surviving, or not injured in this war, a pity really, but helpful for her cause as she smiled and took the Angels hand. "Please, someone needs to step up, we cannot allow people to believe we have been abandoned... I need your help, I must convince the people we can end this together, that the races are not evil... If they find out we were fully abandoned, I dread to think what would happen." The hardest part would be keeping the Angel here alive long enough to convince others, but if she has learnt anything, the fear of the Nobles running will be enough to have people listen, and then all it takes is a few simple exaggerated, but effective words to change their views, and then let it spread. Easy as pie, and wouldn't take long at all. "My name is Emeri by the way. I have been learning under the Nobles for a while now, never agreed with many of their views though, and they often ignored mine as they didn't 'hold the interest of the people' but I know the truth, what I must do to help."
