It didn't matter that Akvan was able to beat the rules, because by the time he did, Shinda would have thought up a hundred more. It was his form of survival, beat the other competitor at what he sees as a game, that the other lives as a fight. Tenshi had seen many fight their war like that, those on Shinda's side all those years ago... It was in Mitasu's nightmares, and Tenshi suspected that's how Shinda himself has survived for that long, bending and creating the rules to help himself. "Shinda doesn't play fair, you may beat the current rules, but he always makes more..." It wasn't the easiest thing to hear, but Tenshi respected Akvan for surviving this long, for almost winning. It gave her hope that perhaps Shinda will be stopped, she wishes she could make Shinda see good again, but knew that would be too much of a long shot, so death it was. Tenshi could understand where Akvan was coming from, she really did. But he hasn't seen what Chester has been through since he has been gone, she needs him, if only for a moment, the wait to see if he is alive still is taking everything from her... On top of the amount of people becoming diseased, Akvan not being there, her brothers fighting a war they did not want... Going through what Tenshi had gone through... Chester needed Akvan, just as much as he needed her... Wait be damned. "But your not fighting right now, you cant get to him to do that. But you can get to your wife, the one who really needs you. This is tough on her too, not knowing if the man she loves with every fibre of her being is alive or dead... Isn't the few moments worth the pain, what I would have given for a few more moments... Don't make her think like that..." None of the things said about Shinda surprised Tenshi, it was too much like him, bittersweet knowing he hasn't changed all that much. But it was hard to understand, Shinda always knew what he was doing unless driven by rage and anguish... And Tenshi knew with Akvan living right now, that he hadn't reached that point yet. "Shinda always knows. Deep down at least. It doesn't surprise me, him doing this... But there is more to it, and I need you to find out what... If he really has started the war, he's managed to manipulate the council, and I need to know how and what he has done to achieve that..." It was a lot to ask, but with Akvan finding that out, Tenshi may be able to help on this side, thanks to him.

It was knowing that Akvan wouldn't have another chance to hurt Shinda like he'd done now that the Demon was able to recover, and think of a counter-attack. Akvan's chances of surprising Shinda had vanished now, he just knew it. He knew Shinda would change the game to suit himself better, since discovering that Akvan had almost won. Which also meant, this year really had been meaningless. All the skills Akvan had learned when trying to survive, he'd probably have no use for when going back in there. Dropping his head into his hands, Akvan tried to calm himself down, playing ignorant of his injuries and just trying to remind himself repeatedly that he wasn't fighting right now. And Tenshi was right, so far everything she spoke of made sense. Akvan should go and see Chester, since in his heart it was all he wanted, but he still felt scared. The kind of fear Akvan remembered having long ago, when hiding behind the disguise of his Eteru as Flood. He'd been scared of facing her then, and breaking the heart of the person who meant the world to the Sun child. It was just a cycle, one Akvan found hard to get out of, without any confidence to help him to the task. Akvan remained silent, listening curiously to what Tenshi said about Shinda. He understood her, but still shook his head a little. There was a moment, during the first fight with Shinda, that obviously went against what Tenshi said. Akvan had managed to convince Shinda to let him go, and in doing so, Akvan could see an expression on Shinda's face that lasted only a second, it looked a lot like fear. "I'm n-not sure if that's r-really true. He's wanted s-so long to face me, a-and do all of this. Perhaps th-that's all there i-is to his plan." Akvan muttered. He thought on how exactly Shinda got the council manipulated, perhaps possessing one of them during the meeting to accuse Angels and Demons. Or created fake evidence to support their accusations against the sky races. Akvan made sure to try and find out, if he had the chance. "I will." Akvan mumbled, before getting to his feet, trying to stop their shake as he gathered up what energy was left. He coughed a little, looking out into the swamp as he spoke down to Tenshi. "I-I'll go... even i-if it hurts.. t-to Chester." Akvan wheezed, planning to take steps forward if his friend supported him or not.

Tenshi couldn't believe that was Shinda's only plan... If that was the case, then he wouldn't have started this war. There was much more to this then anyone realised, and Tenshi feared what he had planned, knowing they may be incapable to stop it. Shinda obviously knew what could happen with this war, the consequences, if he only wanted to fight Akvan... Then Shinda would never have tampered with the system. It was now a case of working out exactly what he had planned, because the further they got into this, the worse things were going to get. Tenshi hopes that the next time Akvan is dragged in, he will be able to end her old friend, for everyone's sake, but knew Shinda would be working on something new to bring Akvan off the winning streak he had, and the best thing she could give Akvan to help with that, was a small message for Shinda to hopefully hinder his abilities. She wouldn't go into details, not yet, as she didn't know how Shinda would respond, but Akvan needed the back up, no matter how small. "I've known Shinda a long time... If all he wanted was to fight you, he would never have tampered with the council, he wouldn't have started another war. There's more to this then we realise." Getting up, Tenshi smiled to Akvan for taking the courage to go to Chester, as she wrapped one of his arms around her neck so she can offer support, it was quite a trek to Nanari's from here, and with Akvan like this, it would be even longer, something she was willing to help with, she only hoped Shinda would give him time to see her. "I'm there to help every second of the way, we will get you healed up, and with your wife for a bit, if Shinda tries to take you back in before your ready... I'm going to throw one hell of a fit." Sighing slightly though, Tenshi gave a small quick glance to Akvan as they walked. "Mind doing me a favour though?"

Akvan didn't want to know the kind of past Tenshi had with Shinda. What their connection was. Because he didn't want it to effect how he viewed Shinda. He'd lived in the same body, shared the same mind and soul with the Devil for seventeen years. And Akvan's opinion of Shinda from that was how he viewed Shinda now. Knowing the Devil as anything different, would hinder how the Sun child fought. He just knew it would, so for now, Akvan wouldn't pry into Tenshi's past, and perhaps never would. Feeling the metallic parts of his leg creak when Akvan moved, he felt like they might snap after all this time of harsh movement. Fortunately Tenshi was there before one of the prosthetics caved in, cracking down the side and going limp. They'd certainly need replacing. And as morbid as it sounded, Akvan just hoped Ningen was still alive to do so. He could only just put his weight down without the legs snapping right off, so Tenshi was needed for a great deal of the walking. He tried smiling just a little bit, looking with his good eye towards Tenshi. "Th-thank you... Shinda w-won't b-be taking me b-back for... a-a while. He's.. p-probably worse than m-me right now." Akvan commented, trying to clear his throat a little. Sure, Akvan had a lot of old wounds that hadn't healed right, and was generally exhausted, but Shinda was covered in fresh wounds that he'd not been exposed to before. And being alone as he was, it would take a while for the Devil to recover. Akvan blinked himself out of thought, glancing to Tenshi. "What?"

Anytime Akvan got away would be enough, but the longer the better, so hearing that Shinda was worse off, was a good sign that Akvan would get the rest needed. And with Nanari and herself healing his wounds... Akvan would be up and running in no time, it was just a case of how long replacement legs could come into play... That would take the longest, as they would need Ningen and materials for it. "Good, we can make sure you get rest. First thing to do will be sleep, we can heal you up while you do so... And then we can work on getting new legs for you and some quality time with your wife." It was a long, yet short road to recovery, but it wouldn't be easy to get there. And Tenshi would make sure that Akvan got there before going back, because she wasn't going to let Chester lose him, hell Tenshi didn't want to lose him, she couldn't lose another friend. Giving Akvan a small sad smile, Tenshi took a breath. "I need you to deliver a message to Shinda for me... I'm going to write it when we get to Nanari's, but I don't know how he will take what I say... Whether it will weaken him, or make him angrier... But I have much to say, and this is the only way I have to say it... I understand if you don't want to, don't feel like you have to for my sake either, as I said, it may make things harder on your part, and we don't want you dead." Tenshi hoped what she planned would make Shinda rethink things, even if only a little, and it assured that Akvan wouldn't think differently of Shinda is he saw what was said... But she didn't want him to deliver it if he doesn't think he can handle a worse of Shinda is her old friend finds anger in it, which thinking about it, he probably will.

Sleeping, now that was something Akvan even forgot existed. He'd slept at times during the year, mostly from passing out and having no choice, but times when Shinda was far off of his trail, Akvan got some moments to relax. However, in a place like Purgatory, so lifeless and cold at all times, getting any worthwhile sleep was impossible. And Akvan knew whatever sleep he got wouldn't be relaxing at all. He could vaguely remember it, but he was certain the last nap he'd taken outside of Purgatory hadn't been pleasant. They could all just pray that Shinda took a while to heal, being alone and exhausted would hopefully play a part in that. The longer Shinda took, the more time Akvan had to recover physically and mentally. Remind himself after so much violence that life was still worth something. Because Purgatory seemed to make him forget how precious life was, it sapped away at ones sanity like that. Akvan glanced towards the swamp, wondering how Shinda handled so long in that place. Though, it was possible the mighty and witty Shinda didn't handle the horrors of his eternal prison as well as he appeared to when fighting. Akvan pondered on this idea of a message, swallowing down blood in his throat. "M-messages haven't gone... w-well in the past." Akvan commented, remembering the time he'd conveyed a message before from Mitasu to Tenshi. Akvan took some deep breaths, "I'll d-deliver it... messages s-should be heard, g-good or bad." Akvan eventually replied.

Tenshi knew that passing along messages didn't always end well, she had been the one to receive them more often then not, so she knew first hand how people felt. But she did need to get in contact with Shinda, get what she needed off her chest... Hundred of years and he was alive this entire time, waiting, watching. Tenshi has hated what he has done all this time, and suddenly he is back causing havoc again... And she needed to get through to his head before everything turns sour. Giving Akvan a small grateful smile however, Tenshi couldn't be more thankful to him. "I know it may end badly, and seriously don't give it to him if you don't think you can take on anger he might feel... I want you alive, more then I want this message passed along. But thank you, if you do, it means a lot to me, and I hope it may just make things easier on your behalf for even a second." Taking in a breath, Tenshi holstered Akvan up a little more to make it easier for her to carry him back to Nanari's, again, it wasn't going to be an easy trip back, not with him this worn out, and Tenshi exhausted as she was, but she would make it. "Come on, lets get you back to your wife, we can discuss anything else once you've had some rest." There was much more to discuss as well, but not important in comparison to his health, at least she hoped anyways.
[Finished (also excuse how it ended, I didn't know what else to put)]
