Note: Now the Angel's only place of sanctuary, all Angels are summoned, and the only ones who remain are current active characters. Lilli is the leader of the Taiyo clan, and looks like this: Lilli
It was hard to focus on reality anymore when that reality seemed so close to a nightmare. Kakushin just didn't know what to do, about anything. The world he'd known had been torn apart, and all the King could do was stare helplessly at the bloodied remains. The only string keeping Kakushin upright right now was Rurushu. Supportive and understand, was the Demon King right now, even though he too suffered with the fears of where Art and Sky were right now. They were in the hands of the Saints, being used as bait to get the Kings to announce war against them. After what they did to Aura, violating the innocent lives that had rested there, there was no way Kakushin could refuse war now. He couldn't resist that urge, no matter how hard the King tried to keep peace. Kakushin wanted to destroy them, like they'd done to him. But, the Angel needed to focus on one main thing right now. His people, the few that remained. Kakushin wasn't sure on the exact numbers, but in his heart he could feel the massive hole of losses, and could guess how many Angels remained right now. Word had been sent out, under extreme care, by the Taiyo clan. They accepted Kakushin's ask for sanctuary under the roof of their temple, and also offered to help Kakushin gather the rest of his race together for the King to speak to them. They needed words, just words of any sort, from their leader right now. Words were all Kakushin could give them now, as he'd already failed to save those around them. Kakushin stood waiting, looking around the majestic courtyards of the peaceful clan, how it lit up just like Shiro had. Taiyo clan seemed a perfect place for Angels to rest, as the clan worshipped their kind, and built their very clan in the image of Aura. It felt almost comforting to be in this light place, but it also reminded Kakushin of what had been lost, just above them. Kakushin swallowed hard, trying to force the images of Shiro back, and was gratefully distracted by Lilli. The faint green-haired leader made herself known, smiling sympathetically to Kaku. "All of them have been gathered. None of my children can locate anymore of your people, so we can only assume we've found them all." She stated, and Kakushin nodded. Lilli gestured towards a door that lead to one of the temple's main rooms, and Kakushin hesitantly entered. He tried not to count heads, but looking forward at all the Angels gathered, he could tell there was a fatally low amount still alive. Kakushin swallowed again, determined to speak without a break in his voice. "Thank you, all of you, for making it here. There's... much we all need to talk about." Kakushin began. "First of all, it should be apparent to everyone now, Aura... our home, has been lost. By the hand of Saints, Shiro was destroyed, and with it, the rest of Aura. It's no longer safe to go to our homelands." Kakushin stated, face pale as he spoke. "Taiyo clan, will be our new home, for now. Be grateful to the generosity of it's members, and please consider this temple a sanctuary to rest in. The clan tried their hardest to gather all Angels here... which means all of us here, we're the last Angels alive." Kakushin paused, to let all of the others have the dire news settle into their minds. "I've failed my people, and I feel as though, the decisions I make won't be worthy. So, I'd like to ask you all, what you want to do now... The Saints, and others like them, have taken everything from us. Would... would you be willing to fight them?"

Tenshi did not wish to leave Hane's side for even a second, not while he was in such bad state, not when being away from both Kaku and Aura. It was not possible to move him as of yet, the wounds still too fresh, and the Saints still looking for the survivors. Nanari had promised to keep him alive, using her magic to keep him from dying while she left for the day, an old friend also joining her for the other healing factors needed, Tenshi couldn't be more grateful to the two of them. It still lead to the problem of what now though, and she suspected that's exactly why the living Angels were gathering. She knew it would not be many, even less with those injured such as Hane, or already in hiding like Labari. She feared how many were left, and when walking into the sanctuary of the Taiyo clan, those fears were answered, few and far in between. The Ex Queen knew many in the Taiyo clan, having visited often, and she knew Kaku made the right choice in making sanctuary here. The news did not set easy in her stomach, Aura had been her home for so long, and to hear it gone in words,, rather then knowledge, hit harder then she thought, and with it added on how many died... Tenshi wanted to shut down, and yet, knew she couldn't. Kaku was their King, but Tenshi still had her love and knowledge from being Queen, and with the events of what has happened, whom has died or gone missing or in all been injured, Kaku would need as much support as he could get. Standing next to Kaku, Tenshi looked to the survivors, before focusing on Kaku. "You have not failed us Kaku, none could predict what happened, do not blame this on yourself. And as our king, we respect and value your thoughts and opinions, just as how we will follow behind wherever you take us. But if I may, I must voice my concerns." Tenshi turned her gaze onto those in the room, stepping so that she could voice everyone at once. "A war is not something we wish to have, I have been through too many in my lifetime, the worst of them. And I can tell you now from experience, it never ends well for anyone, it causes nothing but death and despair that never leaves our mind. We still have each other, the bonds we share with those among us, as well as those we have befriended along the way. Those we love. Our Friends. And for those we lost we need to live on and recreate what was taken. A war will not allow that, not if we declare it. As a group, we do not have enough to fight, and I know if you asked Kaku, Ru would follow behind with his people... But this was caused due to conflicts with the races, we need to build the peace, not break it down. Do not let yourself be dragged down into a war that can possibly be avoided... If the Humans declare it, fine, we will fight. But do not initiate it, for all our sakes. We have lost too many, while others like Hane fight for their lives, or those such as your children are fighting for It in enemy grounds already. Do not fall into the pitiful trap they have set out..."
Tenshi did not want to be part of another war, too many had occurred in her lifetime, and as she said, it never ended well, and each time they fall back into the same patterns as when it began. If the Angels declared war now, then all hope to survive, to fix things will be broken, and she hoped Kaku wasn't too far into his bloodlust to ignore her warning. And she knew if it ever came to a war, it would take much planning and hope to keep everyone here alive, Tenshi knows the battlefield, and how bloody of a place it is... And she hoped it didn't ever come to her family seeing the same horrors she has in her lifetime.

Ningen was just glad they'd found a place he could finally rest at. Ningen hadn't been in Shiro, but his workshop, when the attacks hit them like a rain of fire. But, even away from the castle, Ningen hadn't been safe. By the time he'd prepared himself and his inventions to go and help those in Shiro, the assailant ship had moved closer to him, and bullets rained down on the lone island. Bullets had hit machinery, and explosions had ruptured the walls and caused the whole building to fall. Ningen had escaped, with debris lodged painfully into his back, with his medical cube.
Down in Sohul, it had been quiet for a bit, long enough for Ningen to heal himself with his invention. But then hunters came, and the Angel was off again. Being found by a representative of the Taiyo clan was relieving, and Ningen gladly followed them to the current resting place for Angels. But, the meeting drew Ningen's heart back down again, just seeing how few Angels remained. The boy listened to his King, and older brother, with a neutral expression. He wanted to butt in himself to say that Kakushin had done no wrong, or that it wasn't his fault, but Tenshi spoke first. Ningen took the time to think on how he viewed war right now. It was evil, naturally, and someone like Kakushin who'd previously been Guardian of Peace must surely hate the concept of such a thing. But, there was something everyone had to realise, that Ningen had figured out, and knew Kakushin had as well. "Miss Tenshi.. And your majesty. If I could speak my mind, I'd have to say that, unfortunately, I think war has already begun." Ningen stated, perhaps causing some shock in the others to hear the usually silent and shut off boy speak up. "Because the attack on Aura wasn't just pointless murder, it was a message. To tell us that they plan on wiping out all Angels, whether we retaliate or not." Ningen added morbidly. His hands shook a little, the boy going pale as he spoke once more. "We... we can hide for as long as we want, but they'll continue to hunt us. There's.. no hope left for peace."

Yume did not wish to come when one of these Taiyo clan members turned up on her turf, she had already scared off hunters and she was not pleased to find someone else trying to talk to her. But for the sake of an old friend who must be going through hell right now, she relented and turned up. Keeping to the corner of the room and glaring everyone down. She cared not for what happened, seeing how the only ones she really could reluctantly say she wanted to survive did, but she emphasised with those whom lost someone. Listening to what was to happen next, Yume set a hard gaze on the others, thinking about her own views. Ningen was correct, war had already begun, the Humans would not have done this for any other reason. But she knew Tenshi spoke from experience, and she could see her point as well. Realising she would have to say her piece at some point, Yume headed over to the others, standing next to the boy and setting her lips into a thin line. "The kids right. War has begun, the Humans want us wiped out, that much is clear, we will have no choice but to fight back for our survival. However. If we declare war now, we are giving them exactly what they want. Peace never existed, as long as one person hates, it will never be achieved. But that doesn't mean the illusion cannot be there... If we officially declare the war, we have given them a reason to attack, a reason for the Humans still on our side to hate us. Because of right now, they have started this blood feud, I will not allow us to take the blame, if they want a war, they can damn well be the ones to ask for it." Yume looked to everyone in the room, glare resting on them all, and for those who knew her, hoped they listened, because she didn't say things like this often, or anything at all for no reason, not like this. "Fighting is inevitable, no matter how long we hide, until the end of this bloodshed has been decided, we will never be safe, nor will those who are hiding us. It will take immaculate teamwork, and coordination with all on our side if we are to not just win, but survive, and that is saying something coming from me. I hope you are all ready to dive into your bloodlust, because from here on out, its the only thing we will be able to rely on."

Kakushin's gazed turned towards Tenshi. Yes, she'd seen war before, and no doubt it continued to haunt her. Kaku wished he could sympathise with Tenshi, perhaps think of what she'd been through, and how Kakushin didn't want that for the others. Hane was mentioned, and Kakushin had to try his hardest not to let the condition his guard, his reluctant-to-admit-it father was currently in. They'd done that to Hane, and they'd not hesitate to do the same to anyone else here. Kakushin's blood boiled, more than it had ever done before, just to make the Saints pay for what they'd done. But, he couldn't take that jump, because he also pictured the possible outcome, and what could happen to those here. Poor Ningen, Kakushin's little brother, who acted brave when he was the opposite, and who would be easy pickings in a war to wipe out Angels. Ningen even spoke, fear making his voice so fragile as he claimed that war was already starting, and that the Saints didn't plan on ending it any time soon. Kakushin moved to place a hand on his brother's shoulder, giving Ningen what comfort Kakushin had the willpower to even give, before listening as Yume spoke up.
Under normal circumstances, Kakushin usually dreaded the words coming out of Yume's mouth, but today the King accepted them willingly. He quietly listened through out, no reaction to Kaku's face before he finally took a breath. "Not too long ago I was attack by a Human. The power of his grudge was enough to defeat me, and it seemed like he was more than just determined to best me. He wanted to prove that Humans were superior... Somehow, I know that man was on the front-lines of the attack." Kakushin stated, "I'd feared then, that there were more like him. And... It seems there are. You are both right, Saints, Humans... they don't plan on ever ending their hatred towards us until we're wiped out, and all worlds belong to them. Who knows when they'll attack Rurushu and his kind as well." Kakushin continued. He glanced to Yume. "Yume, it's been a while since you've offered such advice, but... I'm afraid there's a flaw in it. Because it's impossible for me not to declare war. The plan the Saints had, they made sure that no matter what, I can't refuse war." Kakushin stated. His heart flared with the pain of declaring war, once believing so strongly in peace. But, now Kakushin knew war was inevitable, and he was almost willing to declare it himself. "I want to fight them... I want, to get my children back, repay what they did to Hane, and to everyone else. And I can't see any other way out other than to fight back now, rather than wait on another attack." Kakushin claimed honestly. He glanced around the others, "I don't know how deep the pain of our losses run through all of you, whether it's enough for you to stand by me as we retaliate in this war. But," Kakushin squeezed Ningen's shoulder slightly, "Any who don't want to be a part of it, I will not condemn you for doing so. If we fight, we fight from our own will to do so, I will not force anyone to join me... Even if it means I am the only Angel to stand against the Human's tyranny."

Yume gave a sharp exhale of breath when listening to Kakushin speak, she understood completely what he was saying... But he was going about this all wrong, and that what angered her the most, and for those who were watching her closely, could tell that she wasn't happy. She knew the feelings were mixed in the room right now on what to do. The thirst for revenge holding deep, with the want for survival holding them down. Kaku saw both sides, but was blinded by the truth. Smiling softly, Yume turned to their king, walking straight in front of him, lifting an arm, and clocking him right over the head, before grabbing the front of his shirt and pushing him up against the wall, growling to all those who got too close. She knew she would pay the price for this act later, but right now, she could care less... Besides, when did Yume ever listen to anyone. "Listen here you little shit. No father of a bodyguard to protect you, so make sure you fucking do. I never said you had to refuse war, I am all for fighting back, hell, I will enjoy it... A much loved break from the drabble of my current existence. But you are letting revenge and bloodlust take over your thoughts even if you don't realise it. If we declare war, you are giving into their demands, letting the deaths go to waste as you have just made sure the reason they died lives on." Yume let Kaku go, walking back out to the middle of the group. "IM WILLING TO FIGHT. I WANT REVENGE FOR WHAT HAPPENED, EVEN IF I CARE NOT FOR THOSE WHO DIED. BUT, I am not going to war if you declare it... I am more then willing to go looking for your lost children, I know where the Saints base is, I'm sure they are there. I am willing to kill those who caused this. But until they break, and announce it themselves, I am not doing any fighting. I will not let you, or anyone else give them the satisfaction of knowing they broke us... I'm going break them first, make them desperate, because right now... THAT is our best weapon, proving them wrong about us, proving to EVERYONE who still is uncertain on what side to take that we are not in the wrong, that we didn't want this." The Angels were meant to be the race to create peace, and though through the years Yume never went after that, underneath it all, that was her intention... She would not give the humans the satisfaction of knowing they broke that purpose enough to go against it all. She would watch them break and suffer before that happened, and she knew, even if the others didn't, that those Humans who still believed in their ideals were watching their moves, to see if it really was the Angel race in the wrong. "I tell you this old friend, if you are the one to declare this war officially, I will abandon this race for dead. You get no help from me, be it where your children may be, or my want for a fight. Because I refuse to let them win in this way."

Kakushin wasn't himself, and it would take a long time before he ever returned to that state. Normally, he'd cower from Yume's violence, knowing his old friend too well. But, the King just wasn't in the mood for her attitude. When she hit him, a part of Kakushin was about to draw his sword, but fortunately Yume made sure that didn't have chance of happening, pinning the King back against a wall. She had a lot to say, and a lot of it ticked Kakushin off, whilst part got to the King's senses and made him consider his options a bit. Let the Humans declare war, make sure everyone knows that the Angels and Demons didn't want to fight. Act like cornered rats, having to fight to survive. Kakushin didn't war, truthfully. Kakushin had gone quiet, a painful silence fell over all the others after Yume'd said her piece. "So... you want us to just wait here? Continue to call out the beacon of peace, only to see it attract more suffering? And when we're all cornered by them, without an escape, we can finally bite back? Well, listen to me, Yume... They won't plan on declaring war until it's already over." Kakushin replied, voice quiet, yet filled with underlining rage. "Feel free to wait for them to attack first, but don't let that confidence of yours cloud over the truth. Because, Humans are a tougher race than we could have ever thought... Let the stab wound in my back prove that." Kakushin gave a glance to everyone else, feeling as though this meeting needed to end soon, or else it turn into a dangerous debate, that did the opposite of reassure them all. There were a few last things the King couldn't contain, and must be said, "I won't declare war, if you think it will honestly help." Kakushin stated across to Yume, his face void of emotion, "And, old friend, try to hit me again, and I'll personally cut your hand off." Kakushin finished, smirking ever so slightly. His threat sounded very much real, and Kakushin almost wanted it to be, but he also knew that kind of brutal humour was favoured by Yume, and he doubted she'd take it badly. Even so, after that, Kakushin went quiet. If the others wanted to continue to speak, then the King would listen, otherwise, he prepared his leave.

Yume knew the death of everyone hit Kaku hard, much harder then imagined at first. But not to the point where he lost himself, she missed the best friend she had and lost many years ago, who thrived for nothing more then peace between the races. She almost hated Tenshi for giving him the position of king, because it was for this reason that he has lost his way, but knew there would be no one better. The silence that followed her speech even put Yume on edge, and voice of Kaku made her jump a little, anticipation for what he had to say filling her senses. He sounded so different, and his words cut, but she wouldn't let that deter her thoughts, not on this matter... Yume didn't have opinions for most things, not to this degree, and she was damn well making sure it was listened to. Before she could strike back however, Kaku said the words she was hoping for... Including more then she wanted, giving a little smirk, and a hard glare. Yume scoffed. "I know just how tough the human race can be, or do you forget how I watched them fight once? Forget how we were all humans ourselves once..." The thought was preposterous, and he didn't have to remind her. Turning around, Yume prepared to leave, letting the others talk amongst themselves, she would not stay here, not with these people. "I only came here to find the insight on what was happening, I have my own place to stay, Humans to spy on. I'll make sure to tell you if the Saints have your kids. Oh and Kaku... Just because your my king, doesn't mean I wont fight back, I never listened to the rules in the first place... I sure as hell will make sure you lose the rest of your fingers before you even lay one on me." And with that, Yume headed out the 'safe house' if the Humans think they can scare her away from home, they have another thing coming. She would force the declare of war out of them if she had to.

Yume's confidence was something to admire, and her fierceness. But, like many traits, there was always a situation that would crash down around her, and Yume would be surprised, for once, to find herself mistaken. Kakushin could see the same fate for her, as for the rest of them. All the Angels here, all with different emotions flowing through them, would find themselves cornered, with their very feelings used against them to bring about their doom. Kakushin could just see it. Ningen, his doubts and worries would get to him, the boy would fight when in his heart he knew he couldn't. Yume's bold and cunning would prove her too headstrong to see the truth, and it would lead to a fatal surprise one day. The King could see the deathly fate of them all, and just prayed that he could prevent such things. But, that in itself was his own downfall. Kakushin was too determined, and took broken to be cautious anymore, to tread carefully. If he had to charge into a war by himself to protect these few people he had left to shepherd, then he'd do so without hesitation. His life was nothing but a sword now, for the rest of the Angels to wield and use to survive the bitter and morbid war to come. Kakushin silently watched Yume go, barely smiling to her remark thrown back at him for his own threat towards her. As she left, Kakushin just bid his old friend good fortune, and hoped for now her confidence would keep her safe from the outcome Kaku feared. When she was gone, the King looked to Ningen, placing a hand back on his shoulder. "Ningen, it's your own decision, but I don't want you to feel pressured to fight. It's... just not who you are to be on the battlefield. You'll do wonders for us here, continuing to work. We've seen the power of Human's weapons, and their inventions, now's your chance to show them what the best of Angelic design can be like." Kakushin said to his younger brother. Ningen could be happy to hide here, not die in fear during the fights of war. The kid had a bright mind, it had been enough to turn the tides at Baransu Tower a year ago, so perhaps Ningen could still insure surprise again. Others began to leave, to other places in the Temple or to their own safe homes. Either way, the clan promised to keep an eye on them for the King's sake when his gaze couldn't stretch so far. So Kaku let them go, turning to look to Tenshi. "He's still alive isn't he?" Kakushin asked, thinking back to Hane, "If war's not going to appear straight away, then I suppose it would be best to visit him, Hane would do the same for us, after all." The King added dryly, finding it hard to imagine a future anymore, that wasn't going to hit the King with more heartbreak. For now he'd resist, and keep moving, but it worried Kaku deeply just how long hope could last before even that flickered out of existence.
