Despite his current state, and the news the Sun Goddess had given Akvan about his future, Akvan himself had probably never felt better. Because he felt something stronger than any fear he had about himself and his fate. He was in love, and it was a madness the Sun Child was willing to have for once. He'd never expected things to get better with Chester, but perhaps the events of the tower were better than they'd thought. It gave them the chance to think, and Akvan had done nothing but think for the past few months. From lying in be unconscious and trying desperately to think of way to repay for the damage he'd done to others, to now trying his hardest to make sure they never left his life again. He was in Dranar again, managing with the help of Zuura to get his small amount of magic at least up to the standards of flying himself around again, and was here looking for the King. Or Gensho, who would hopefully lead Akvan to the King. What he had to say though, Akvan couldn't share with his brother yet, as he feared that Gensho just choke Akvan in a hug if he shared this kind of news with the God of Night. He hovered around the cleared rubble of Mo's old house, where things were already in motion to rebuild it. Everyone was aware of a secret hiding beneath it now, and how to tread carefully with what they removed. Akvan didn't know what would happen if something struck his Sun Tear, but he could only fear how painful it might just be. Akvan paced some more, unable to stop and keep still on his fake legs for long. He really needed to talk with Rurushu. Things were going fast everywhere, and Akvan was happily accepting those new changes. And he was hoping to take his own chance to make a change in his life after all that had happened, and only hoped this 'talk' with Rurushu would end well.

Ru was pleased with how things were going in Dranar. Making sure he himself got involved with the rebuild of the Manor, taking extra care to make sure the crystal was kept safe. Mujihi was doing splendid work in capturing the rogues, and Gensho surprisingly wasn't going overboard with his input to everything. And sided with his upcoming wedding, and the fact that Chester was finally happy again, Ru knew things couldn't get much better then this. But when one Demon came to report that Akvan was here, Ru didn't know what to think. Handing over the supplies to another, Ru was quick to head towards Akvan. He was long over the hate he felt for Akvan for what he did, seeing how Chester was smiling again, and back to her old self, but that didn't mean he wasn't cautious for his sisters future happiness, and was keeping a close eye on the other in case he did something stupid like that again. Touching down not far from Akvan, Ru gave him a smile as he headed over. "What brings you up to Dranar then? I'm assuming its not just for a friendly visit, not that I'm complaining. It will be nice to get a small distraction from duties for a bit."

Akvan felt more nervous than he'd been keeping himself dead to the others eyes. But it was a better kind of nervousness than before. He was scared of losing Chester again, or letting her down like he'd done before, something Akvan would never forgive himself for even if Chester did. And what he wanted to talk with Rurushu about was siding with this new fear of Akvan's. In a way, he was there to ask the Kings permission, and hope for the best. Taking a sigh, Akvan took something from his pocket. It emitted a small golden glow, even when so small. How Akvan had found the perfect thing with the correct size to even place the crystal into was a miracle in itself, and just went and supported Akvan in believing that this was a right move. Akvan hid his hand under his cloak when Rurushu appeared, almost bowing down to the King as he walked over. But instead Akvan just returned the smile. "I was... w-well I'm here to g-get your advice... sort of." Akvan shakily replied. He took a deep breath, "I-It seems like a m-miracle how well me a-and Chester are doing... And I d-don't ever want to lose t-that with her again. So I..." Akvan finally revealed his hand, opening it to show a small ring, with the piece of golden sun crystal embedded into it. "I-I thought of maybe g-giving her this."

Ru felt everything stop moving as Akvan finished talking and showed Ru what he was planning. Before his brain finally caught up to him and Ru felt himself begin the choke on nothing but the air... Out of all things he expected this most certainly wasn't it. After a good few moments of trying to calm down, Ru looked up to Akvan, disbelief shining in his eyes. "First off... Is that what I think it is... And second... And by advice you mean..." Ru couldn't even bring himself to finish the sentence, not believing this was actually happening. A few months ago, Chester still hated Akvan. And Akvan was still a nervous little wreck who couldn't even bring himself to make the first move... And now they were here. Akvan taking a step that took Kaku and himself over seventeen years to accomplish. "Don't freak out just yet with my reaction... I'm, just.. Just a little shocked that's all..." A little most defiantly was an understatement, but he needed to let Akvan know that he shouldn't be running for his life just yet... Not until the Kings head wrapped around this development.

Akvan had expected a worse reaction, but give it time and Ru might just try and kill the Sun Child like he'd expected. But he definitely knew what kind of impact this was. It was, compared to how long this kind of thing happened between Rurushu and his partner, a very quick development on Akvan's part. Akvan's hand shook a bit when he was waiting for Ru to calm down enough to reply, and he felt frozen to the spot just panicking over if this all sounded stupid, or if Akvan was going to die today or not. Akvan swallowed, nodding his head with a smile that looked more like a wince. "Y-yeah... It's a r-ring, and... w-well I-I think you know what its for, and t-that it's less advice that I need, a-and more your... p-permission." Then Akvan nodded as Rurushu seemed to have not really recovered at all, wincing as he wondered if this really was one big dumb idea of his. Akvan's head lowered. "I know h-how stupid it probably is... b-but I r-really love her and... I w-want to give Chester a w-way of knowing I'll n-never leave again, and that I'll never lose her again either."

Ru took a few deep breaths as he tried to calm himself down, before looking to Akvan, searching his eyes for any emotion held in them. Before finally sighing, the news settling in... Good or bad, Ru had yet to decide, though, Ru gave the kid guts... He could tell Akvan was freaking out over this, and asking for permission was something Ru didn't expect either. "Your asking me... For permission, to ask for my sisters hand in marriage?" Ru really didn't know how to handle this situation. He was internally freaking out over his own wedding coming up, not that he showed it... But this really was just icing on the cake, and he really didn't know what to do just yet... Not with the shock of it all. "I wouldn't call it stupid... More, surprising, then anything. I just didn't expect this... Not for a while anyways. But... I... Admire, your reasoning for doing it..." Ru could admit to himself that Akvan was worthy for a chance... So Ru wouldn't deny anything just yet... But he would get Akvan explaining more before voicing an actual opinion... If only to see if he was being fully serious or not. "When you planning to ask... Granted I give permission..." Pushing the shock aside, Ru knew he would have to get what he could out of Akvan, and so would have to play the protective big brother role... Even if he knew Nanari would be hitting him over the head right now for not just giving permission if she was here. Or Gensho for that matter...

Akvan was indeed freaking out. When looking for a ring to fit the piece of Sun crystal he'd chipped off, Akvan had been pretty calm. In fact, every point up until telling someone else what he'd planned to do, Akvan was very calm. But as soon as he heard his own words out loud, it made the Sun Child realize just how big of a deal this was, and now he felt terrified. When Rurushu said the 'M' word, Akvan shivered for a moment. Hearing that out loud as well didn't calm Akvan's nerves. But he buried these fears down. Yes he was scared and yes this was a huge deal, but if Akvan didn't seem confident in this, then it would seem like he was hesitant or uncertain. Which in the case of Chester, and talking to her older brother like this, being uncertain wasn't allowed. So Akvan swallowed hard, "Y-yes... Yes, I want to marry Chester." Akvan answered, stopping the shake in his hands as he spoke. Akvan did relax a little as Rurushu claimed it wasn't completely stupid. "Thank you. I-I know it's pretty soon since things got better, b-but... Chester's been waiting, s-so long for something like this. I-I just know she has. N-now that we're in a good place, I don't w-want to keep her waiting any longer." Akvan replied. Things went more onto the detailed side of things, and Akvan despite how nervous he seemed, did have somewhat of a plan. "Soon. I-I was thinking... with all she's doing for y-your wedding, that asking her after a-all of that might b-be nice."

Ru sighed as he thought things over. Akvan seemed sure enough over this decision, and seeing him actually stand there and admit it really was what he wanted to do and his reasoning for it, made Ru realise exactly that. Though he knew he still had to be cautious over this, if only for a few more questions... because he knew at the end of the day, he couldn't really chose that for them. Though he was touched that Akvan decided to ask for permission. "That she has... From you personally as well if that eases things up in that department." Ru really couldn't come up with a reason to say no beside his own concerns for things, but he did know that his sister has been waiting for Akvan for over seventeen years, even after he was believed dead. But just because he didn't have a reason for it, didn't mean he was going to give in just yet... He wanted to make Akvan squirm before telling him anything. "Hmm, a noble plan. And oh so very soon. Are you sure you have thought everything through? Not going to disappear on her again?" These were the worries Ru had, if only as the older brother, rather then someone with reasoning.

Akvan was glad, inside, when he heard others talk about how well Chester had recovered from everything recently. She was going back to being the Chester everyone remembered, and according to others, it was thanks to Akvan. Whilst all Akvan could think when hearing the nice things was that he could have helped much sooner, if his mind had been in the right place at the time. But Akvan couldn't remain negative, after all, right now he felt like the luckiest person alive. Head down, Akvan nodded as Rurushu seemed to hover over the topic. It was pretty soon, very soon compared to the time Akvan had even been officially with Chester. But, and Akvan was prepared to keep this a little hidden, he didn't know how long he had left. Of course Akvan was going to fight to remain how he was, and of course Akvan was going to train until he never needed to fear about losing his mind or leaving others ever again. But it was still a possibility, and Akvan didn't want his time to mean Chester missed out on something she'd surely been waiting for. Akvan took another deep breath. "Yes, I have. I-I've had time to think, w-when constructing the r-ring... and then when watching h-how happy she seemed recently. I-I just feel, soon is as g-good a time as any, and h-hopefully it can be perfect." Then Akvan looked up properly, looking determined in his next response. "I r-refuse to disappear again." Akvan replied, hopefully making it clear that Akvan wouldn't ever leave on his own intention. And even if it was by anyone else's intention, Akvan would still refuse leaving again, ever again.

Listening to Akvan and how determined he was over this, made Ru give a small smile before he dropped the big brother act and brought Akvan into a hug... He knew he couldn't refuse this request, even if it killed him. Ru knew how much Chester loved and cared for Akvan, it showed with how she was becoming her old self again after so long without him. Ruffling the others hair slightly, Rurushu chuckled. "You know, Chester has been too unhappy for far too long, your return has brightened her spirits... And because of that, its brightened many others as well who are close to her. Chester alongside Nanari has done so much for the planning of mine and Kaku's wedding... Enough that it can be within a few months of the proposal rather then next year... Why... Why don't you ask her in the middle of the reception? Im sure others will be just as happy as she is... Like Nanari and Gensho... Alongside me and Kaku, as I know you make her happy." Letting Akvan out the hug and taking a step back. The King gave him a small smile, "I honour your determination to stay by her side, and that's the main reason why im allowing this so soon."

It wasn't that Rurushu scared Akvan... which it actually was, a little. But Akvan did flinch when brought into a sudden hug. He'd expected to have to fight for his life or something, especially when talking to the person that was prepared to beat Akvan to a pulp once. But a hug was a surprise, and Akvan began to relax soon after he realized what it must mean. Smiling to himself, Akvan was glad to listen to how Ru put it, as if Akvan had managed to do one of the things he'd hoped to make up for when unconscious. Repay the years of hardships he'd placed on others by trying to make them happy again. For someone as gloomy and self-loathing as Akvan, it didn't feel possible at first, but perhaps Akvan was wrong about the impact he could have on others. "I-In the middle?" Akvan responded quickly. He was planning to ask soon after the wedding so that the whole atmosphere hadn't quite rubbed off yet, but during it? "A-are you sure? I w-wouldn't want to... step in o-on your big day." It didn't sound like a bad idea really, if things went well it would make the day only better. But Akvan still felt like he might be 'intruding' on someone else's special day if so. Akvan smiled slightly back, bowing his head now in gratitude. "Thank you... y-your majesty." Akvan replied quickly, "A-and I won't ever leave h-her side again. T-that I can p-promise."

Ru understood Akvan's concern. It was kind of him, for it, but Ru knew it wouldn't be right anywhere else, not with how things have gone. "Im the one who suggested it... Im sure, Chester is my little sister, me and Kaku both worried about her so much the past seventeen years, and you along have managed to bring her back to us. It would make the day more special if I can watch you ask her such a thing, to see her reaction to it. And I know Kaku will be fine with it as well. Hell, I think by this point, were both going to want the attention off of us... You have no idea what my sisters have planned..." Ru shuddered at the thought alone, he only knew so far of his outfit, and that was... Unique in itself... Let alone what else they had planned. Ru would welcome the distraction off of them for a little. "Besides, I'm sure others will want to see you make this step, I know plenty have been routing for the two of you since hearing about your first meeting... The teasing me and Kaku got in a few days after that happened..." Punching Akvan on the arm lightly, Ru gave a chuckle. "Just Ru, or Rurushu for you, I don't want friends addressing me with such formalities. Hell, I don't want my own people doing so..." Giving a quick click of the tongue, Ru put a hand on Akvan's shoulder. "No one can assure a promise like that. Trust me, I've been there. But I know you will try your god damn best to make sure you stay by her side."

Akvan was confident at the reception of another wedding was perfect, as bas as it sounded. But there was the other issue. Akvan took a deep breath, "H-here's hoping she doesn't s-say no." He muttered, honestly fearing Chester's reaction more than the idea of proposing in front of others, or anything else that could possibly strike fear. But Akvan shook the thought away, it would be bad to think like that about something so positive. Instead, Akvan almost chuckled. "I h-have some idea... C-Chester didn't give away much but... I can say t-they've not planned anything horrible." Akvan himself had been surprised at some of things coming from the combined minds of two people he thought he knew well. Clearly everyone had a extra part to theirs minds waiting to be discovered, whether the person discovering them liked it or not. Akvan sighed, he'd gotten hints from Chester even before being with her that she'd been teased before about this. It was something she'd mentioned quickly in Rycora. Not that it surprised Akvan much, back in those days all Gensho and Onrah were ever worried about was not if their young brother was going mad or depressed, but rather if he was spending time with Chester and getting closer to her. "I c-can only imagine what Gensho w-will be like. D-don't tell him yet, b-by the way. Odds are i-if Gensho finds out it will be m-made even sooner." Akvan replied. He nodded to Ru, understanding that formalities weren't really necessary, although Akvan had a feeling Rurushu's other felt a little different about them.

Giving Akvan a small smile, Ru placed a comforting hand on his shoulder. "As long as you show her you really want this, no being really, really nervous throughout doing so, then she will say yes... I know that for a fact. In fact scratch that, she'll say yes regardless... Even if you stuttered over every word you say." Removing the hand to rub at his temples, Ru shuddered a little more at the other thoughts entering his head. "I know that haven't planned anything horrible, well, not initially. But I know more then you think, they are my sisters after all... And some of the things planned are out there... Just wait, when Chester says yes... Nanari will be over organising your own, and I will be wishing you luck then... You think the most nerve racking thing is asking, wait until Nanari gets a hold of organisation." Ru said that from experience knowing what was coming up... And not knowing what was coming up, like Chester's and Nanari's hints over their 'gifts' for both wedding... And honeymoon, he was sure they even mentioned Tenshi being in on that... And that in itself was terrifying enough. Taking a small chuckle over imagining Gensho's reaction, Ru nodded to Akvan. "Secrets safe with me... And Kaku as I will need to tell him of this, but to everyone else, they will be just as surprised as Chester. I'll even keep Gensho distracted while you head over to ask at first, so that he doesn't make an unknown, accidental distraction from it when you plan to..."
