Notes: A few weeks after Pandemic, things are calmer in Aura, so much so that Hane finally has the time to perform the last part of his 'deed'.
Hane knew ways to get out of Shiro unnoticed, but for once the Queen knew Hane was attempting to run off to Sohul. But he'd promised not to be gone for more than a few minutes, excluding flying time, as he was only going down to pick something up. An empty expression on his face, Hane had planned this day excessively, to the point where he knew every detail of it. After preparing the training courtyard for their guest, Hane found a good spot to fly down from. He glanced to the world below, still coated in sickness and danger, but soon, given time, Sohul would flourish once more. It was like breaking a bone, the wound took a long time to heal, but once full restored, it became even harder to break once again. Hane tested the wind on his wings, taking a deep breath of Aura air before diving down and entering Sohul. After the last few days of the Pandemic, when even the immortal man was nearly caving into death, going down to Sohul and having his mortal wounds return was nothing. And for this task more than any other, Hane needed to make this trip. He got down to Sohul's earth sooner than normal, making haste over Baransu. Hane didn't have the sensual powers Guardians did, but he had once sense above all others that helped him. He had the sixth sense to find those that needed to be taught a lesson, and there was one soul in the city below that was in desperate need of teaching. Hane looked up, flying level with the Baransu tower as he saw his target just landing on the highest level of the tower just ahead. His wings silent, Hane flew right up behind the dark haired Demon, grabbing the scruff of his neck. "You. Aura. Now." Were Hane's only words, before hauling himself and the poor and confused ex-Outlaw into the air with him.

Rurushu was doing all he could to make up for everything he did, and redeem himself from his Outlaw ways, it helped that Mo accepted his apology, and was willing to let him work for a right back into his home. So much had happened after the Pandemic, Ru finding out about his past, and meeting his Human sister, Chester changing, now that was a huge surprise, but he was grateful that she was alive. Kaku forgiving him, and Neko also, under several promises Ru knew he would never break. Not to mention everything else that happened with others. But he knew it wasn't over yet, after finding out that Kaku ended up, alongside Nanari, telling Queen Tenshi and Hane of Ru and his role with Kaku... He knew that the personal guard and figure to Kaku was coming after him. Ru had managed to put off the inevitable for a while, having busying himself with helping the Humans and Angels in Sohul, but he felt the change in air as it happened, and he knew that the inevitable was no longer avoidable. But he was closer then anticipated, and Ru didn't try to stop the jump of terror as the scruff of his neck was held and the sinister voice was in his ear. Rurushu knew he wasn't getting out of this with no broken bones and a few words alone. Ru found it difficult to keep up with the flight, but he managed, for he knew anything that he said or did would be held against him, and Ru would much rather live then to die by someone who was more terrifying then Shinda and Exitium combined.

Hane would have to give this boy credit for getting on with instructions without one word of complaint or questioning. If he could remain that way for the rest of this 'talk', then Hane's job would be pretty easily done. Rurushu was a case Hane promised himself that he'd make sure worked properly when Kaku explained, in his injured state, who the Demon was to him. Whilst Hane knew now that he couldn't stop his favourite student from seeing Rurushu, he couldn't just let it happen without giving the pair 'advice' on the matter. Kakushin had already received more than a handful of Hane's advice, and Rurushu required his turn. It was hard to find the Demon when stuck in Aura, and Hane could only go down and get him once he was sure on a close enough range of where Rurushu would be. Pushing passed the clouds, and feeling his body recover from the Sohul air immediately, Hane made sure Rurushu kept up, offering him a few solemn glances back. To any who didn't know Hane and the way he worked, Hane's expressions were always monotone and unreadable. But if you knew Hane, even the slightest change on his face meant a lot. A solemn glance to some, would mean a blood-thirsty glare to another. Hane pressed on to land right in the middle of the courtyard, turning on his heel to stare Rurushu out. "Welcome to Shiro training grounds. Rules here are made by me, and followed by those I train. You are here because I require to assess your quality as a Demon and person, and whether it would be appropriate for you to continue seeing my strongest student with my consent and without my need for future alterations in the relationship." In non-Hane words, the immortal Guard was looking to make sure Ru could protect Kaku in the future, and never let him get so hurt again.

During the whole trip into Sohul, Ru knew that he was in for deep trouble. But he kept up, and would do all asked, no matter what it was, because at the end of the day, Ru knew he deserved it, just as he wanted to prove himself to someone so important in Kaku's life, whether the Guardian admitted it or not. The second they hit the ground in Aura, Ru stood up straight, tail wrapping around his leg and wings tucked in as far as they could... Still not use to their permanent showing. Taking a gulp, Ru knew he wouldn't win a fight, he was defeated by Kaku many times, and Hane was able to beat him. He wondered if that would be a major issue, but he had heard enough about Hane from Kaku to know the 'old man' was just trying to protect Kakushin, so Ru would gladly give this all he's got. "As much as im ready to fight for him, and prove myself. I will admit today wont change a damn thing... I care for Kaku, and no matter how this ends, not even you will be able to keep me away." Ru knew it was probably a bad thing to admit under such a position, but it was the truth none the less... If he was willing to go behind everyone's backs in the Outlaws, and be turned into a Dracomancer for him, then there was no way Hane could keep them apart. "So what are your rules?"

Hane understood, or was told that he couldn't interfere directly with Kaku's relationship. He wouldn't force the pair apart if he didn't like Rurushu's attitude or strength in some way, but he would do his hardest to make sure Kakushin would never be hurt again. If Rurushu failed to prove himself worthy, then Hane would have to train him until he was. He refrained from replying to Rurushu's first point straight away, instead going onto the rules. "The rules are simple, I give the instructions, you follow. If I ask you a question, you reply with an answer. There are no compromises, if I present you with a task, you complete it as it stands, or you fail." Hane recited, arms held behind his back. "All clear?" Hane finished. Contemplating for a moment, Hane turned and began to pace side to side. "While I am in understanding that no matter today's results, Kakushin would not allow me to sever the relationship. I also know that as it stands, I cannot trust that my favourite student will be entirely safe if left to your care. Today is to prove to me that events that took place a month ago will not reoccur." Hane stopped to glare at Rurushu for a split second, "I would hope today does change a 'damn' thing, Demon, otherwise Kakushin may end up injured once more, or worse." Hane replied with a sour note to his voice. "And so far, I am at a loss at who is fighting for who. Today I plan to test your skills, as well as your soul, and decide for myself who out of the two of you is the stronger one." Rurushu might want to protect Kakushin from harm, but if he was weaker than Hane's prize student, then the role of shield would be unbalanced. Hane had calculated that, the most successful of relationships occurred when both parties were equal in strength. If Rurushu was not, as Hane was prepared to find out, as strong as Kaku, then Hane would have to fix that. Hane drew a blunt sword, holding it out in front of him and watching Rurushu carefully. "I shall give you one clean hit, to demonstrate to me the level of your current power. Do not feel the need to hold back."

Rurushu was ready to prove himself, but from the sounds of it, Hane wanted him stronger then or on par with Kaku, and Ru was unable to do that unless he formed into his Dragon mode, and that was something he believed would hinder his result rather then help it. Taking a breath, Ru nodded over to Hane. "Understood." Though the Dracomancer feared Hane more then others, he knew nothing the Angel could give him to do would be as bad as what Exitium would put him through. But his stare hardened at the mention of events from a month ago... Rurushu wouldn't let that happen again, no matter where he was or what he was doing. The mere thought of such a thing reoccurring angered Rurushu to his very bones. "I respect you, and your care for Kaku... But I will not let that happen again, no matter what happens from here on out. I admit im not as strong as Kaku is, hell he easily kicked my behind in an actual fight. But I hated what Exitium did to him that day and after, I hated what I helped to cause, and how it effected Kaku... Im spending the rest of my life making up those mistakes, and if it means losing my life to protect Kaku then I will let that happen." It had almost happened once, but Ru pushed through it. And here he was making sure the same events never came to pass. Ru eyed the sword, knowing his skill wasn't even close to being that of what Hane would want. But he got ready, taking out his own sword and swinging it in his hand, looking up to Hane. He new the Angel would be fine, whether it was a strong attack or not. So with that in mind, Ru swung his sword back, and aimed to knock the sword out of Hanes hand. He hoped this wasn't the whole of the fight and proving, as Ru was much stronger with his magic ability rather then hand to hand combat. "I have more skill in magic then I do with the blade..."

This training was more than to just improve Rurushu's strength. If Hane wanted to do just that, he would have discussed it beforehand so that the Demon could have practised and prepared himself. No, Hane's training was about much more. He had a tick list in his mind of things he needed to make sure Rurushu understood before going properly into anything with Kakushin. They'd been together for a little while now, but it was official now that Ru's outlawed past was being changed. So no doubt the Angel and Demon would be inseparable, and therefore more likely to experience dangers. Hane remained silent as Rurushu spoke, knowing he'd have something to comment upon when the time came. First he wanted Rurushu to 'loosen up'. Hane had proven it to himself, that even after one of his students attacked him once with as much force as they wanted, they became calmer, as if rage was taken out in their strike, even when they weren't even upset to begin with. Rurushu's attack had good power, but was close to making Hane yawn. Following the momentum of Rurushu's strike, Hane's blunt sword easily danced around it, easily pushing the attack away from Hane, and probably putting the Demon off balance. "So it would seem, but the skill you excel in most does not matter, I plan to test each of your skills equally." Hane went to toy Rurushu with a few flurries, made painfully slow by Hane's standard as he made sure Rurushu could at least begin to block them. "Your conviction is evident in how you speak about Kakushin, and no doubt you wish for him to live, happily and safe?" Hane waited for a simple response. "Then learn to protect your own life as much as you protect Kakushin's. Because the very thought of you being in harms way brought him to almost kill himself by trying to help. I do not wish to describe the results of Kaku's behaviour if you were to actually die from protecting him." Hane jumped back, holding his sword ready.

Ru knew before he even tried that Hane would dodge the attack, but he was grateful that he didn't reprimand him for his skill... It proved that Ru had the chance to prove himself to Hane, even if he wasn't as strong as the other wanted. Ru began to dodge and block the other attacks, finding it easy after the proper fight he had against Kaku, and he hoped Hane saw it was easy, because in Rurushu's mind, the only way to prove himself was with Hane pushing him to do so... And he most certainly wasn't as of yet. But the Dracomancer stopped as Hane spoke once more, giving a slight nod and "Of course" as his answer. There was no doubt that he wanted Kaku safe, happy and alive... He also remembers the promise he made to Kaku many months ago. Though, he did drop his gaze, understanding where Hane was coming from with his words. "I know... I will try to keep myself alive, just as I have explained to him... I have never been one to care for my life, I will willingly sacrifice myself to help others, especially those I care for, and I promised him the day after he complained about my way of thinking, that I wouldn't go against my beliefs, but I would do all in my power to make sure it didn't come to that... Im sticking by what I said then, and I hope Kaku will one day understand where my thoughts lie with said belief, and live as I asked him to... Regardless of that choice." Making sure his sword was ready for an attack, Ru looked back up to Hane, wondering his reaction to his words. He assumed that Hane was testing his thoughts as well as skills, and as much as Ru wanted to say what Hane would want to hear, he knew it was better to tell him nothing but the truth, and hope that Hane respected him for it.

Hane felt like he'd gotten something from Rurushu's reply. Whilst he knew one would have to be insane or heartless to never feel the need to offer their own life in the place of one they cared for the most. Whilst Hane had known he would be fine, he'd felt a similar way when offering to scout for Kakushin when the Angel was still heavily injured. But Tenshi had taught Hane another lesson. That one's life should never be used in a clumsy manner, they weren't a safety blanket one could just throw over a fire and burn. If one treated their own life as nothing but a means to protect others, then they needed to know the dangers of what that would mean to those who did cherish their life. Rurushu seemed to be on the board-line of seeing his life as something to use to protect those he loved, and keeping it and them safe at the same time from knowing what his death would mean to them. Nodding for now, Hane accepted Rurushu's answer. Whilst he still needed to prove the conviction of Rurushu's words, he would accept them for what they were for now. They weren't a critical problem Hane needed to address. This sword fighting however, could be. Eyeing up his opponent, Hane lowered his sword. "I shall not retract my previous idea, but I will alter the meaning of it. Whilst I still view it as necessary for a couple to retain similar strengths, in what field they hold that strength would be better served if the areas were different." Hane stated, "An enemy could know how to combat sword play, and would put you both at a disadvantage." Hane added. "Being a long running student of mine, there is no need to argue over the fact that Kakushin is the stronger sword. His magic is also greatly enhanced. So I will require to see what you believe is your strongest skill, and use it against me, any complications?"

Ru let out a breath he didn't realise he was holding when Hane accepted his answer. Knowing it was a first step with all this. Lowering his sword along side Hane, Ru sheathed his sword and took a breath. Now here was the problem, Ru was strongest in two areas, Magic use, that was used to weaken an enemy and confuse them, while good in fights, it wouldn't work well in this condition. His second one, being more powerful then that, but not something he could really show Hane, not here anyways... And that was a problem in itself. So Ru was stuck on what to do, he could trust Hane with what he was hiding, but he also knew he would have to inform Tenshi, and Hane would take matters into his own hand... But against all that Rurushu also knew things would go sour if Hane discovered this out in the future, when the opportunity presented itself now... So, it was time for Ru to take a huge risk. "Mine and Kaku's magic ability is on par, as discovered in various fights... I admit my magic is used well for confusion and draining them of a will to fight... But against someone without my weapon is pointless.... However, there is another magic I have, one powerful, and not exactly normal. If, I am to show you... It must be kept between us, and possibly Queen Tenshi, for Kaku's and my sisters safety form Exitium..." Ru wanted to make sure Hane understood where he stands with this, and the risk he was taking by showing and fighting Hane with this power. Because he feared for Kaku's and Chester's safety if Exitium ever got word that Ru told someone.

Hane knew his new trainee was thinking on something, and he kept quiet as Rurushu came to whatever conclusion he needed to get to. It was hard to focus on one skill. Hane could have seen every corner of magic in his life time, but he focused his skills on speed fighting. His sword was as sharp and agile as it might ever get, because Hane had chosen which skill of his to follow. He tried to make his students feel the same way. Choose which skill they excelled in and stick to that power. Kakushin had to balance between sword and magic, for his job. But Hane taught the boy more in speed and swordplay, because he could sense that it suited Kaku better. One should always find their strongest points and focus on them, keeping secondary skills sharp enough to rely in if really necessary. Hane listened to Rurushu with a neutral expression, though inside he was greatly curious to this 'magic' Rurushu spoke of. Hane took a deep breath, "Keeping secrets is never a good idea, though noble and sacrificing, it can weave greater wounds by being kept locked up then to be expressed for the world to see." Hane stated, before readying his sword again. "It is why I have pledged to never keep secrets, but I will respect your decision. I cannot keep a secret from her Highness, but she shall be the only one to know, you have my word." Hane took a stance, finally having his inner curiosity expressed on his face mildly. "Well then, allow me to observe your greatest strength."

Ru knew this was probably a bad idea with where they were. But he knew it was for a good reason. Smiling slightly knowing Hane would keep it a secret from all apart from Tenshi made Ru feel a lot more relaxed to do this, and gave a slight nod to Hane. "Thank you, I understand you cant keep it from her highness, and I understand she may need to tell... But I do thank you for respecting my wishes." Taking a breath, Ru took a few steps back from Hane as to make sure he didn't crush him during transformation, before closing his eyes. As he has done every other time to change into Dragon form, Ru let his mind see the world how a dragon would, as he opened his hands out with a black shadow. Letting the shadow grow and consume his body, Ru felt himself grow and change. It hurt less each time he did so, so he could only hope that one day it would be quick and painless to do... And when he opened his eyes and looked down, Hane was nothing but a small figure underneath him. Taking another step back, as best he could, Ru leant his head down until it was level with Hane. "Something Exitium did to me in order to keep Kaku alive..." It was so much easier to speak and control now, but Ru knew he still had much to learn about this power.

Hane didn't really know what he'd expected Rurushu to do. Demons and their magic did confused Hane, since he didn't really meet many Demons when being general on edge around them. He'd learnt to get along on a minimal level with Demons, which meant Hane didn't give them trouble if they didn't give the royal guard any. But in that way, Hane didn't know all that much about them. He didn't even think Rurushu would know some sort of transformation magic, at least not on the scale it was appearing to be. Hane stepped back a few feet, genuinely surprised when Rurushu changed into a mass of shadows and then into a Dragon of all things. He got tense as soon as the giant creature emerged, head almost twitching as the little Angel fought against his instinct to run away from the tall creature. Hane truly felt on edge around any creature that didn't have the facial features of the three main races, since Hane had a harder time figuring out what they were thinking. Plus, he could cope with being short compared to others, but being completely dwarfed by large beast and animals was something Hane had a harder time coping with. The only reason he wasn't trying to fly away or fight back the Dragon, was because Hane was just as confused as he was nervous. "This is..." Hane asked, pointing his sword up and down, "you?" Hane tried to get over his confusion, face dropping back to it's usual scowl. "If Exitium did this to you, then it must be dangerous, you have control of it, don't you? If so, show me."

Ru could tell Hane was uncomfortable around him right now... Who wouldn't be. So he made sure to move back enough and used is wings to gesture to himself. He had complete control over the form, and he doubted that with Exitium's experiment he went as far mind control of this form, at least at this stage, so Ru knew he was safe. "All me, and its difficult to show properly, I don't want to show you just how much I can do, at least not here... If anyone saw me flying they would probably freak, and if I used my breath, im looking at burning something down... But I can let you stand upon my head to show you how careful I can be with movements..." Ru didn't want to cause any damage or panic within Aura, and he knew that by moving any further would do just that, he was already taking up a lot of the courtyard with just his Dragon... So attempting much more within the area wasn't likely. But that didn't mean he couldn't do something, like show Hane through words and small actions how much control he had... And if in the future Hane wanted more proof, after telling her majesty, perhaps Rurushu could show both of them what an asset this power could be, and how much control and power he really had.
