A very rare race that has been around longer than Humans. Their numbers used to be vast, but they were not considered civil enough to be given much thought by Angels or Demons. They are highly intelligent and stronger than the Humans that share Sohul, but they are unable to grasp magic like other Races.
Instead, A Wolvine has the power to transform between a humanoid form and a wolf form. Their unnatural physical strength remains the same in either forms. From the start of the Human's rise to power over Sohul, Wolvines were considered inferior and rare creatures that made good pets or hunting material. Because of this, Wolvines are almost extinct. The few that remain are kept as pets to the highest and most regal of man. It is almost impossible to find a wild, free Wolvine.
Because they don't use magic, Wolvines can transform from humanoid to wolf form as frequently at they like, since it is just a natural process. Their humanoid form is much like a normal Human, however what separates Wolvines out is their lower half. In humanoid form, a Wolvine keeps their furry, canine legs and tail. Some even keep their ears as well when in humanoid form. This difference makes it obvious to tell apart a Wolvine from a Human, but it also gives them the edge in speed and strength from Humans. Their wolf form is a typical, four-legged wolf, larger than the usual ones. They are around the size of a horse, meaning some owners like to ride their Wolvines to show off their rare pets.
Not many know Wolvines exist at all, many people live out their lives without ever meeting a Wolvine. And because of their status in Humans, Wolvines appear more dim and simple minded. They act like the pets they are, hardly speaking Human tongue, and only knowing little of their own Wolvine language. Wolvines still remain as intelligent as they used to be, but they naturally hide their wise words under simple, one worded responses to the Humans that own them.
Wolvines have a slightly longer lifespan than Humans, living normally to around 100 years.
