There was nothing to Hane better than a good fight, and especially one against someone with a similar fighting style. The swords that danced around the air mirrored one another, clashing with sparks of white light. The speed of the pair of fighters was of the fastest in the Angel race, so to anyone watching, it looked as though Hane and his pupil were simply blurs, creating flashing stars of light when they collided. Hane pulled away to take and observing break, breathing smoothly as he eyed his opponent. Though the small and mighty Angel didn't rest long, striking out whilst the pupil was unaware and defenseless. Although, the younger Angel surprised Hane with a surprise parry, followed by a strike poorly blocked by Hane's sword. Hane jumped back to safety, circling around the large training field in the Queen's palace. It was a keen and frequent visit of the immortal Hane, who used it like a second home when it came to training the younger Angels. Hane's pupil grinned, holding his silvery sword forward before striking out with the swift maneuvers Hane had taught him personally. Of course, with moves like that, Hane could easily assess the situation and dodge. Using his leg, Hane tripped his opponent up, using the force of the speed to tip the fellow Angel flat onto the ground. Sword held high, Hane mercilessly stabbed it through his pupil's stomach, holding it there for a few seconds before removing the clean blade. "You're getting sloppy Kakushin. Did you pick up some sort of bad habit with defending your footing from strikes?" Hane asked, face stern with slight disappointment at the guardian, lying on the floor paralyzed. Hane huffed, moving to position himself for another round. "Take your place when the stun wears off, we must continue."

Here goes the week of training. Kakushin hadn't expected it to be an entire week, when considering Hane wasn't a man who understood was breaks were. This was the fourth day so far, and Kaku was starting to feel the strain on his muscles and pain in basically everything. He and Hane fought for over and hour none stop, Kakushin constantly blocking the lightening fast strikes from his teacher, whilst trying to catch the small centuries old man off guard. A hard mission when Hane had taught Kaku almost everything he knew about fast sword-play. They parried a bit more, Kakushin almost landing a hit on Hane before finding a searing pain in his leg, and being forced to the ground. Hane stabbed the peace magic-infused blade through Kakushin's chest, stunning all of the Guardian's muscles. Kaku groaned slightly, feeling his body sting all over when movement returned after a minute or so. He lifted himself up on his elbows. "No, I told you, I injured my leg in a fight in Sora. It's why my footing isn't as quick. And I thought you promised not to strike at my leg until it healed?" Kakushin answered back, lifting his knee higher to check for punctures in the stitches. It may look odd to Hane, but Kakushin actually smiled when he looked at the long, red lash on his leg. It reminded him of the other night spent with the Demon that gave it to him. A parting gift, amongst many. Kakushin glanced down through the holes in the partially cloudy ground. He wondered what kind of thing Rurushu was doing right now anyway. The Demon said he was going to be in Rycora with his sister, so perhaps Kakushin could get out of a few hours of training to go and meet them. Sighing, Kakushin winced as he stood up, grabbing his white sword. "I'm glad I suggested using magic swords. It might cut my magic by half, but at least I wouldn't be dead ten times over, since you clearly don't know what mercy is, Hane."

Hane huffed as Kakushin reminded him of his injury. He'd no pity on the boy, it was Kakushin's fault for letting up his defense when fighting... a crazed and powerful crime leader was it? The Angel watched his pupil inspect his wound, yet again getting distracted in thought. Hane rolled his eyes. He'd already punished Kakushin a dozen times for daydreaming randomly during training, and they weren't light punishments. Hanging him upside down from his bad leg, pinning him on the ground as Neko drew on his face and messed with his hair. Slashing salt water onto the wound also seemed to wake up Kakushin. It was a wonder how his injury hadn't healed in the past four days, Hane truly didn't know what was halting the healing process. No matter, the teacher forgot his pupils injures quickly, as usual, and prepared a defensive pose. Hane watched on with a solemn face as Kaku eventually readied himself. The Angel shrugged. "If we'd used real swords, I would not add the finishing strikes." Hane admitted, waiting for the next round to begin.

Kakushin walked slowly, limping slightly as without much surprise, his wound was hurting again thanks to Hane's kick. He dragged his sword as well, making it completely obvious how tired he was at this point. But, Hane wouldn't forgive him in Kaku threw in the towel. Lessons weren't over until the evil little Angel said they were. Scoffing when Hane admitted he wouldn't be so harsh on his attacks if they were in a real sword battle, Kakushin doubted Hane would show mercy no matter what kind of weapon they used. "I hope not Hane... but I can never be sure with you." Kakushin answered, lifting his once lightweight sword higher. He was sick of training. Well, he'd been sick of training since the first night passed, but now Kakushin wanted to end it and go elsewhere. The Angel smiled, plotting something hopeful in his head. "Tell you what, Hane. We put a wager on this game. If I win, I can leave, training done after four whole days of this slave drive, and if I lose... well we'll continue to your wonderful instructions."

Hane could understand where Kakushin came from. All of his years, Hane hadn't been one to tread lightly and show much mercy to his opponents. He fought with honor, but knew better than anyone fights were for survival above all else. Kakushin would one day see the same, hopefully not by the same circumstances that Hane was forced to learn them. Hane kept his posture, but raised a brow when Kakushin offered up a deal. Hane didn't really allow gambling in his training, but this one made the stern Angel smile so slightly. "Do you have somewhere you wish to go Kakushin? Why do you constantly wish to put off this training?" Hane asked, before contemplating his decision. Eventually, the old Angel nodded. "Very well, if you win this next fight, and manage to kill or disarm me, I will allow you to leave. If I win, our training will be doubled in length and difficulty. Sound fair?"

He hid the slight red flush on his face. Yes, Kakushin did want to be somewhere else, with someone else. There hadn't been one other goal on his mind since leaving that night in Sora. So he viewed this training more as a barrier, than anything like what Hane wanted it to be to Kaku. The Guardian shrugged however, "Yeah, I've got places to be, I am a Guardian after all Hane." He answered, smiling through the lie. The bet didn't sound all that fair, but only if Kakushin lost. The Angel thought over it, the risk was big, but to be where he wanted to be, Kakushin knew it would be worth it. Kakushin nodded, before raising his blade again. He darted forwards with a lot more will and strength in his wings, striking like a blur towards Hane's side, and then adding a flurry of attack after dodge back after fast paced attack again.

Hane seemed to have got his pupil excited for battle again, and could actually feel the force in Kakushin's attacks, unlike before when the younger Angel was tickling Hane's defensive blade. Dodging the boy's attacks rather easily at first, Hane actually found himself struggling when Kakushin picked up the pace, finding a rhythm in running circles around Hane. Whilst the old Angel refused to move, he was forced to swivel around as Kakushin struck out from different angles, using his younger and stronger wings to try and get in front of Hane's fast reflexes. He could succeed, if Hane hadn't been given the time to think of a plan of his own attack. Jumping off his heels, Hane began to meet Kaku attack for attack, proceeding in their usual, identical dance. This could go on for hours with them both on the attack, and at the point when all of his strikes were mirrored, Kakushin almost always lost to Hane's superior speed.

The force of Kakushin's attacks were all from hope, for once the Angel cared about winning this higher staked game. But just as he thought he was catching up to Hane's speedy reflexes, the teacher began to attack, forcing Kakushin to slow down his movements to concentrate on blocking the attacks. He couldn't continue circling, as Hane's swift attacks would catch up and end the fight, so Kakushin was forced into a head on fight, something he'd repeated over and over during these few days. Putting that into training terms for once, it seemed as though Kaku wasn't getting any faster or better from these fights. If anything, he was becoming easier to defeat. Kakushin gritted his teeth, changing midair stance to defensive to think of a better strategy. Sparks flying as he thought and defended, Kakushin thought of one last bargaining chip. His last hope of winning lied in what he chose to do himself. He could keep using the same old attack and move to the side anymore. Perhaps something else might work. Kakushin pushed off to meet Hane in the middle, lashing out with a very strong attack. The weight of the attack made it slow, but it would be worth it. As the swords connected, they flashed with a wicked white light. Using this as cover, Kakushin took directly upwards into the sky.

Hane could feel Kakushin's plans changing, as the pupil began to take a more defensive pose. For a while, Hane could freely use this to pound as much energy out of Kakushin as he could, striking down harshly on each attack to try and put some pressure on the young Guardian's arms. One could only defend for so long before their body wore out. But then, something Hane didn't see, Kakushin went for an entirely new technique. He met Hane head on, attacking with his own heavy attack. Two hefty swinging swords clashing together, and the rebound was incredible. The flash of light blinded Hane, and when he looked forwards, Kakushin was gone. The teacher flinched, looking around confused as the Angel was no where to be seen. When it twigged, and Hane looked up, he was too late to dodge the attack coming down from the sunlight above.

He couldn't believe it as Kakushin flew higher into the air. He couldn't believe that he could take off that quickly. Kakushin's strength had always been in wing-assisted speed fighting, but he'd not assumed just how fast he could be once in the air. One flap of his wings when the swords struck together, and Kakushin was far into the air, far above the tallest tower of the palace. The Guardian also couldn't believe his barely thought through attack had worked, and Kaku smiled as he watched Hane look around for him. Now was the chance to end this training for good, and Kakushin dropped his wings to fall downwards, sword prepared to slice across Hane as he landed.

Hane was honestly impressed. Even he couldn't reach that speed in the air, although perhaps to his tattered wings, it was still impressive to see an Angel so young fly that fast. Hane had looked around for a split second, and Kaku had already flown higher than the reach of arrows, and Hane actually smiled honestly. He was sort of proud, to be beaten at last because Kakushin had learnt something knew, something that gave the Guardian strength above Hane's. However, as Hane watched his pupil return to Aura, he knew he couldn't lose this battle. There was something he needed to teach to Kakushin, and he couldn't do that when the Guardian had stunned him and run off to whoever was making the boy so smitten for the past four days. So Hane had to bend the rules ever so slightly. Using his magic, and coating his eyes a golden yellow, Hane easily dodged Kakushin's otherwise impossible to dodge attack, standing a foot away before slicing across Kakushin's chest before the poor young Guardian had time to even comprehend what had happened. Hane looked the part of a faster than most, but mostly average Angelic Guard. But under his low appearance, Hane was faster than imaginable, thanks to his magic. And when his light-speed magic was activated, Kakushin could train for a thousand years and still not match Hane's speed. Not unless the teacher did something to change that. Hane's smile disappeared once the fun part of the fight was over, the golden light in his eyes disappearing as Hane deactivated his magic. He leaned over Kakushin. "You fought well, Kakushin. This is not a win, but it isn't your loss either..." Hane didn't speak again until Kakushin had recovered. The older Angel looked up and down his pupil, hiding how proud he was inside his cold and indifferent exterior. "I only won because of a magic only I possess. Like a Guardian, I have my own, unique magic style, simply because I've lived long enough to perfect it. It is called 'Light-Speed', and allows my movement speed to go to immeasurable lengths... Kakushin, you may not see it, but you are a defining figure for Angel Guardians, and are currently one of our strongest." Hane stopped, there were others better than Kakushin, and Demons with strength above even the two hundred year old man. But this was his personal student, and Hane felt determined to put Kaku closer to the top. Hane sighed, looking over Kakushin again. "That is why, I am going to teach you how to use 'Light-Speed'... and why I couldn't let you leave yet."

All hope dropped like a rock when Kakushin saw Hane disappear. One blink and the old man disappeared, and all Kakushin could feel next was his body going numb again. Falling onto his front, Kakushin huffed into the grass, eyes dropped to the ground. As if for a moment he'd thought he could win against Hane. That Angel had a skill above all others, simply because he'd outlived anyone strong enough to best his sword skills. Hane seemed to compliment Kakushin on his new style, and then waited the few minutes for Kakushin's arms and legs to move again. Kakushin shuffled around to sit cross-legged on the ground, barely looking Hane in the eye.
He didn't expect Hane's next proposal. Kakushin forgot to get angry at his teacher for breaking the rules of combat and using magic to benefit his fight, all Kakushin could think of is being able to match Hane's power, and maybe even more. Also, he was surprised at Hane's honest words, claiming Kaku to be one of the strongest Guardians currently working. Kakushin smiled, getting up onto his feet. "I suppose as excuses go, that isn't the worst." Kakushin answered, smiling. He then knelt down before Hane, looking at the older Angel with respect for once. "I'd be honored to be taught 'Light-Speed'."

Kakushin's reply was predictable, although Hane didn't expect the young Angel to bow before him like such. Hane felt a sense of something new. He felt respected, like a true elder Angel, and not treated with teasing words like when others viewed him by his teenage appearance. Hane let himself smile, properly, almost tearing up at the realization of how long it had been since anyone thought of treating him like the old and wise man he was. But he dropped the expression when Kakushin looked at him for the guidance he'd offered. Hane stood up, nodding to Kakushin. "Good, but since I did in fact cheat in the fight, I promise this portion of training will not take more than the sun's fall today." Hane stated, standing up straight as he got things underway. "Now then, release your magic on the swords so that we may concentrate fully, we won't need them anymore." Hane asked, waiting for Kakushin to do so. Whilst his pupil was on that, Hane closed his eyes, commanding his magic to come forth. When Kakushin returned, Hane was glowing in a golden light, eyes blazing yellow. "This is the form we take during 'Light-Speed'. The longer we use it, the more energy it takes up. From over a hundred years of training, I can keep the form for a minute at most. I expect you to be able to maintain 'Light-Speed' for thirty seconds. A small time, but at our speed, we can accomplish a thousand things in a mere few seconds. Do not try and outstretch your length of time or speed. This may be one of the strongest forms of light magic, but it also the most self-harming and dangerous. Now then, Kakushin... close your eyes and focus..."

Kakushin has earned a new Magic through RP! Magic: Light Magic: Light-Speed. Learnt from the best, Kakushin can focus all of his energy into pure light. This golden light coats his body and turns his eyes a golden yellow. In this form, Kakushin can reach unimaginable speeds, but only for thirty seconds. Over-using the magic, going too fast, or trying to keep the form for too long, and this magic becomes a very dangerous and fatal risk.
