Paludem was Exitium's playground. He could destroy what he wanted here, without causing distress in his fellow Demons. The man could cause cascades of muck and fire, create craters from explosions deep enough to break a leg if you fell in. He could cause soundwaves that could shatter and burst the ears of anyone close enough, and yet still get away with it. Paludem was Exitium's place to cool off, to release all of the mad magical energy and urge to kill that stupid rules disallowed him to do outside. And Ignis had the chance to play as well, the Demon gave his lizard friend the job of hunting out some unfortunate Demonic rodents and creatures, all so that Exi could do target practice on them. The dark haired Demon smiled as his dragon found a nice, plump Gargile Rat to chase. Gargile Rats could turn themselves into stone as camouflage, but it took a whole lot more to disguise oneself from the nose of a Dragon. Ignis growled and snapped as his little legs followed close behind the rat. When Exitium raised a hand, the dragon pulled back to watch the show. Following the scattering creature with his palm, Exitium focused his energy on the poor little rat's stomach. Exitium commanded a vibration-based explosion, causing the rat's stomach to shake violently. The rodent squealed in pain as it's stomach ruptured, before eventually it exploded from the inside, splattering stomach acid and furry flesh around the mucky field.
Exitium smiled, hand out still as he offered praise to Ignis. The small dragon returned to his larger size, muzzle gently pressed against Exi's open hand. The Demon petted his cruel little hunter, scratching under Ignis' jaw until the beast made a funny coo. So peaceful was the moment immediately after maliciously torturing and killing some innocent creature. "Are you hungry my friend?" Exitium asked, and the dragon snorted as a 'yes'. Exitium laughed slightly, before holding his other hand to the land to his right. A simple thought, and the area before Exitium combusted in a explosion the size of a large house. The eruption caused a rain of small and large molten rocks. Exi watching blissfully around the flames as Ignis ran around excitedly, snapping up the hot rocks to munch on.

Exitium, Itami discovered, was a hard Demon to find when he wanted to be. And when sneaking behind the Rebellions back to find him, every moment counted. She wanted him on her team.. Another fighter worthy of a position as high as Rurushu's was. But she knew what he was capable of, and even she knew to keep her distance until he so wished to speak. Sitting far enough away not to get blown up, but close enough to be recognised and seethe action. Itami put one leg over the other and waited, watching to destruction in-front of her. It was always a site to behold whenever Exitium created unnecessary destruction to the land... And she would be lying if she stated she hadn't watched it before... With or without the knowledge of her being there. Waiting until the largest of explosions had died down, Itami made a slow decent over, mindful to let him make the first move.

For a man of such power and skill, Exitium wasn't as keen on his sense of awareness. Why should he need to watch his back when with a simple flick, he could destroy entire cities? The Demon stood, palm up into the air as he forced the larger falling rocks to break into smaller ones, so that Ignis could eat happily. When the dragon was satisfied with it's meal, Ignis returned on full alert. He crunched on the rocky food, head turning suddenly to the horizon. Ignis growled, his powerful, fiery belly grumbling like an earthquake. Exitium looked solemnly at whom his friend had found spying on them, planning on politely asking the intruder to leave with a little explosive persuasion. But the Demon smiled at the striking Demoness making her way to him. Ah, Itami, one Demon Exitium wasn't planning on making his underling, or to some degree. He respected this Goddess, which was a rare thing indeed for the God of Destruction. Exitium could sense something in the air around her. Fear, or perhaps only caution, either Exi relished, and he felt honored that a woman of this standard would still feel such a thing towards him. Exitium finally bowed his head, eyes that were dyed red began to return to their usual blue. "Itami, the malevolent witch of sin and despair," Exitium greeted, as if the words were complimentary, "to what do I owe the pleasure? Perhaps a front seat view of my little show?" Itami was a woman of admiration to chaos, so no doubt she'd find Exitium's skills thrilling enough. "She see before," Came a grumble from the almost mute Ignis, "Woman Demon see before, I smell her before when she seeing." Exitium nodded to his friend. Ignis didn't know much speech, to the destructive dragon, actions meant more than words, and so Exi was grateful for the rare occasions when Ignis felt willing to speak.

Itami gave a smile towards Exitium, one of the only two Demons who got the pleasure of seeing such a thing. She dared admit to herself that she felt a peace around him... Well as much peace as a Demon can manage, though she would not admit such a thing out loud. "Exitium. I love your shows, I have watched many times before, as I have today, your use of destruction pulls me in for a taste of the chaos. And my it is such a marvellous taste, don't you agree? However, I am not here for a civil chat, I've come with a proposal." She knew that at first she may be walking on unsteady waters, for she knew the Demon preferred controlling to being controlled, and if she was not careful... Things would take a turning for the worst, and shatter her plans with a simple question. "I ask that you keep an open mind about what im going to propose, for things will be to your more disliking at first... But shall improve with time, that I promise you."

The Demon liked to see this woman smiling. She was rather stunning after all, and Exitium wasn't one to hide his intentions and feelings from others. The rarer ones like admiration and adoration were celebrated almost, since not many got the honor of such feelings from the Demon God. Exitium smiled back, bowing slightly at the compliment. "Why thank you, it pleases me so to know there are still some Demons out there that appreciate the destruction of our roots. And that you should, Itami, I only give you tastes of the most scrumptious, destructive nature, any Goddess like yourself only deserves such chaotic pleasure." Exitium stated, placing a hand over the sitting Ignis' head, the dragon still weary of the fairly new face. Exitium raised an eyebrow. She dare propose something to him? Wouldn't that incline that she was asking him to do something, as if anyone had the right to ask Exitium requests. But the Demon let his irritation slide, this Goddess of all people deserved a little leniency from the otherwise hot-headed Demon. "I don't like promises..." Exitium commented once Itami was done buttering her proposal up, "They are full of false hope, and any hope deserves to be crushed and buried. But, it because I see you as a work of art dear Itami that I shall consider what you have to ask of me with an 'open mind'."

Itami lifted her gaze to his eyes. She knew with a Demon like himself it was easy to tell a lie, but part of her knew he wouldn't, not to her, not really. "Well then, I'll be sure to invade on your practices more often. Maybe even create a bit of Chaos myself for fun, though doing such a thing is so much better when messing with the lower life forms." She knew before she even asked that things were likely not to her way. She trusted that he would not think too less of her, considering what the proposal was about. But having him agree to such a thing, would be an achievement in itself. "Im sure you have heard of the Outlaw Rebellion? I wish for better fighters, those measly Outlaws who did one tiny bad thing disgust me when they believe they can match skill parallel to your own. All I ask is that when the time comes you fight for us. And when we succeed, I wish for you to become the new Demon King... Mo has lost the beauty of why we were created, and I know your can bring that back. I cannot take up the role myself you see, and Rurushu has a weakness in him that means he himself would be crushed under the pressure. So what do you say?.. Though I will explain our plan in detail, if it means swaying you over to our cause." Itami did not wish to upset Exitium in any form with such a request, but she stood by what she said. He was the only Demon she trusted with such a role, and knew under his command things would be how they were once before. A world filled with chaos and destruction, suffering around every corner, and light ceasing to exist. Herself believed it was a tempting offer, but with Exitium, you never know.

Exitium grinned, almost in a manipulating manner, he knew being served chaos was a way around Itami. "You're always welcome, Itami.. anyone who appreciates the beauty I create and destroy like you is welcome to witness the power of a true Demon." Exi commented. The Demon listened politely, just as he said he would, but his face remained indifferent throughout. Itami stuck a good deal, and it didn't surprise him when Itami mentions her little army of maggots. Outlaws, the poor souls that were too weak to follow their own resolve to break the rules. If one became an Outlaw, why should they accept their fate and never return to the lush lands of Dranar, or continue on their corrupt path. Though, Exitium supposed, that was why this Goddess was currently governing them, to shepherd the lost sheep back onto the path of chaos. Exitium could respect that. Exitium chuckled when Itami considered the Outlaws weaker than him. It was an obvious statement, since any Demon, not simply Outlaws, could not match Exitium's current state. So it seemed Itami wasn't asking for Exi to join per say, but rather act as a trump card for their finale. Exitium heard more lush, and cunningly put compliments that made Exitium smile once it was over. Exitium moved closer to Itami, placing a hand over her cheek as the sadistic man grinned, chuckling lightly. "Demon King..." Exitium tasted every word, what a fitting role for such a deserving Demon, and one the God had for some reason not yet thought of himself. "It sounds... delicious. But any King should have a worthy Queen, my dear Itami. After all, this is as much your dream for me to become ruler of Demons as it is my birthright." Exitium hummed, stroking the Goddess' cheek as he thought over the offer. "I wish to know the extent of your plan, what masters of art you have planned to create, the succulent chaos you plan for, and what my glorious role is in all of it." The Demon changed his expression to a rather serious one, slowly moving his hand from Itami's cheek to neck, gripping it gently with a little encouraging squeeze. "I hope you don't disappoint me after that nice little speech, Itami."

Note: I hope I have the gist of our plan right...
Itami was inwardly surprised, though her face remained stoic. She was not expecting him to break so easily, though she was confused as the whether he was just manipulating her or not... And for the mistress of manipulation to be baffled, then he must be good at his game. She wished to blush when his hand came into contact with her cheek, a rare occurrence, but she did not... Blushing would be showing weakness, and weakness was not her. "I don't always play well with others, no matter who it may be... With that in mind, would I still make a worth queen?" She allowed herself a moment to let pride leave her own body, the greedy side of her wished to know if Exitium really considered her worthy, even when knowing the facts.... When the hand moved to her neck. her only thoughts were over how this was the reaction she was expecting, and the one she was more inclined to deal with. "I would never dare to disappoint the king. My plan... Im currently manipulating the God of Diseases.. He is our playable card, when things are set in place, he will create a disease to effect Humans and Angels alike, allowing them to die off painfully one by one. The God of Death, will soon be cutting his own golden thread, and when that happens, I will have life and death in my very palms, allowing myself to kill off all who oppose our chaos. We shall fight those we cannot kill with just a simple cut, and that is where you come in. My minions will fight the defence for Mo, and you, Rurushu and myself shall go against him, and you will deliver final blow. Taking control of all and bringing delicious chaos into the worlds. Sound like a worthy plan?"

Exitium frowned, smiling with his head tilted to the side. "But of course my dear Itami. I myself do not 'play well with others', but that does not mean we cannot rule together. Chaos is at the heart a Demon's goal, and you have the qualities I require for a worthy Queen. Do you doubt my decision?" Exitium explained. He didn't want Itami judging herself, she wasn't that kind of person in Exitium's mind. He wanted her to be confident, even when her social skills lacked. Like Exitium had said, this woman was viewed as a work of art, he needed not for her to change, as in his future she was already the perfect Queen. Exitium's smile turned into a greed and blood-lusting grin, hoping to hear no words to disappoint him in the explaination. He liked the idea of using others, and getting rid of the pests sharing the clouds as well as Humans. "As the Humans die from this plan, they become Demons correct? That would be a lot of population for our currently small kingdom." Exitium criticized, thinking on the long term of what subjects he'd be ruling over later on. Itami's plans for the drunken fool currently holding position of head God made Exitium shiver with delight. He wanted to fight against Onrah for a long time, this could be his chance to finally make the fool suffer the shame he'd brought to the Demon name. "So, you wish to take Onrah's God powers? That would require crystal implantation." Exi commented, before lifting his shirt up to show Itami the large scar where he'd planted his own crystal. "It is a pain worth bearing, and I would prefer if it was me carrying out the procedure for implanting your crystal my dear Itami, I don't think I could trust you being in the hands of some filthy, half-witted Outlaw." The final strike made Exitium smile, a lush feeling of arousal as he imagined the final blow he would inflict on the current King. Mo had it coming to him, after all the throne he was sitting on was rightfully Exitium's, so the purple Demon should face punishment for stealing such a place. Exitium kept his thoughts to himself however over this second in charge. Rurushu, Itami had mentioned the Demon many times. A pesky Outlaw that Itami had some connection to, it made Exitium jealous, naturally. He didn't want this Demon male getting in the way of his destructive trip to the throne, so perhaps once he'd been crowned, Exitium could find a way to make this man disappear. That was a matter for later on, right now Exitium needed to keep his sadistic mind on getting to the throne first. Exitium looked down at Itami for a few painful seconds when she'd finished her explaination, before slowly releasing his grip on her neck. He moved his hand to her chin, lifting it so they looked eye to eye. He stepped closer too, so that she could feel the destructive force behind each of his breaths. "I had no doubts that you would impress me Itami... I accept your proposal, consider me your ally for this petty war, so long as I can create the chaos I wish, no, I must make." Exitium itched to destroy, it was his job, his purpose. Exitium raised one finger in the small gap between them. "However, I am my own master... try to enforce commands upon me and it will be done under your last breath."

"I do not doubt your decision. I doubt my abilities to rule as queen. As a leader I can kill of freely who I wish, as a queen... I feel as if I would have a duty to hear ones pathetic excuse... And duty is not something I play well with, nor is holding myself back from killing the lower life forms." Itami almost shuddered at the though of having to bare listening to those puny pests begging for a second chance, that would not be something she could bare. Giving her own grin, Itami was pleased he was on board so far with her plan, it had taken years of careful planning and patience to have everything fall into place. "Ahh yes, we must have many subjects to rule over... And what is better then raising new Demons to fit our image... To create the perfect most delicious destruction and chaos." She could almost see now what would be of the future, no Angel or pitiful Human in sight. Itami ran a hand over the scar, one day soon she herself would bare one. And she had to agree, it would be a pain worth baring, having the power over who lives and dies... Would just be perfectly delightful. "I would only trust you to be so close... I never even imagined one of those fools touching me."
Itami gave a slight smile when her released her neck, knowing he of all people wasn't going to kill her when he had the perfect chance to... Meant more then any words could describe. She rested a hand on his chest as he stepped closer. Closer then she would ever allow anybody else, and full out smiled... She had his support, and that was exactly what she wanted when arriving in Paludem. She cared not for the threat, she never wished to do such a thing in the first place... It was not in her to command the king. "I would not even dream about forcing commands upon my king. All I ask is that until the plan has been set in motion, is not to create chaos that will ruin the plans... We cannot take chances, Mo is watching, and we cannot afford for him to interfere just yet."

Itami's self-doubt was understandable. After all, not everyone was born with the true sense of power and leadership that Exitium had running through his blood. But Itami had something not many others got the luxury of. She had Exitium's ear, he actually listened to her, treated her words with respect that none would every receive from the malicious man. Exi smiled, brushing a hand through Itami's hair. "I do not expect you to have to deal with such petty things, I wouldn't allow it in fact. No, I want you to be my Queen, and only mine. Your only 'duty' would be to sit by my side and watch as I create delicious and beautiful chaos before our eyes." Exitium could understand what Itami meant. It would be an irritating hassle to train up so many young Demons, not to mention remove those with any doubt of their nature in them. They'd also have to remove the older and, in Exitium's opinion, broken Demons that currently lived too peacefully for Exi to ever pay them respect. The Goddess seemed to know her position well, Exitium was glad. She knew that he would be furious to see her in the hands of anyone else, and in fact wanted nothing more herself.
Exitium's last desire was to get Mo involved yet. In his current state, even Exitium could see that he was no match for the Demon King. No, first they must destroy all other races, build up an army of pure bred and pure minded Demons, and in that time Exitium could refine his powers and gain more from the corpses of Demon Gods planned to be killed off. "Of course my Itami, it is in my best interest that your plan succeeds. Think of me as a lingering shadow for now, building up in the darkness but staying close by." Exitium smiled, wrapping his arm around Itami's waist as he turned to look off into the vast and empty lands of Paludem. "Until I can unleash my right to destroy, ony for you, I shall make an example of my power in these barren lands of Dranar." Exitium whispered, lifting his free hand into the air. Ignis prepared himself to feast again, and without even a flinch of restraint, Exitium blew another hole into Paludem. The ball of red and black smoke coated the lands, Exitium controlling the smoke, forcing it all upwards, watching as it polluted their rich Dranar air with more deathly smog.

Itami gave a true, unguarded smile. With Exitium about, she would not need to doubt anything. With him around, she lived solely to please him, and if becoming Queen one day did that, then she would be honoured. "In that case, I would love to rule by your side, for you. And only for you." There was no other reason behind her wish to rule, it was not in her blood to command in such a way. "Your chaos is most delicious, and being able to watch you as you cause such beauty... Means more to me than you will ever know." Itami allowed herself to be manuvered around, before keeping an eye out as chaos erupted, how she couldn't wait for the day that this was a permanent fixture in their lives. She breathed in, ignoring the smell of Paludem itself and relishing the smell of Exitium's destruction. "How could I think of you as just a lingering shadow? I wish for you to always remain by my side, showing the lower life forms that none could compare to your magnificence."

Exitium smiled delightfully when Itami eventually agreed to rule with him. He acted all superior over it, but inside Exitium was truly happy. He admired this woman greatly, she was the only person to get proper curtsy from Exi, and that was a rare gift the Demon felt only appropriate to give to Itami. Exitium leaned his face towards Itami hair, breathing in her scent as it mixed with the smoke of Exitium's marvelous destruction. "It make me glad you think such things. It is rare for me to find individuals with the eyes for beauty, let alone individuals beautiful in their own right as well." Exitium muttered. Itami spoke a truth. None could compare to the power Exitium had worked so hard to achieve, not even the stunning woman herself. Although once he had gifted her with the powers of Death, then perhaps her strength would catch up, so that they could sit on par with one another as the world shriveled up around them. Exitium felt the urge to give Itami what she wished for. If by her side was where the Demon would be appreciated most, then by her side Exitium would be. "None can, but do not threat my dear. When the time comes and we rule together, I will share the powers of destruction with the only person I care to give it to, the only Goddess that understands its true purpose." Exitium held one last stare at Itami, before turning to call over Ignis. "I have my own duties to attend to, and I believe you do as well my lady." Exitium announced, watching Ignis lower his body to the ground. Exitium offered a hand out to Itami. "Ignis will carry us out of Paludem and then Dranar, need not we trouble our precious powers on flying down there ourselves."
