Name: Makeru Kage, (Nickname: Mak)
Age: 39
Gender: Boy
Race: Angel
Job: Outlaw
Rank: 5 Stars
Appearance: Mak isn't the average Angel. His hair and wings are a solid black. The only white part of his body is the few tufts of white in his hair. His hair covered his ears, and his overall skin tone is pale and snowy white. Mak's eyes are a silver tone, and hang low as the man acts lax over everything. His clothing is dark like his hair. Black leather jacket and fingerless gloves. Makeru accessorizes himself with many trinkets and things. On his wrists are identical metal bracelets with random symbols on them, and Mak wears many different necklaces, including his Flying Ship in its shrunk form. Under Mak's right eye, he painted a small angelic sign in black. It has little meaning, but simply added to Makeru's overall eccentric look. The most prominent thing to notice about Makeru is that he only has one wing. His right wing is missing, making his asymmetrical appearance odd and very easy to pick up on. Because of this one-sided weight, Makeru also appears to lean naturally to the left when he walks or stands.
Personality: Makeru is very laid back for a guy in his position. He can be kicked down over and over and still get up with an emotionless expression. He simply doesn't care about others, and is the most self centered person you could find. Or that is the appearance he likes to keep up. Frankly he cares deeply for others, but refuses to ever show it after years of being disappointed in others. He doesn't like others caring for him because he thinks they shouldn't need to bare him on their shoulders. So Makeru refuses friendships, or relationships of any kind. He finds conflict rather stupid, only taking part if it actually effects him. Having no opinion on Angels or Demons, as an outlaw Mak isn't on anyone's side. He's not even on the Outlaw Rebellion's side. His sister used to be the only one he cared for, but after their checkered past, all Makeru wants is for Shori to forget about him and carry on with her life. Sleeping on the deck of his small ship, a bowl stacked with apples is the life Makeru desires nowadays.
Likes: Lazy days, a nice breeze, sleeping, apples.
Dislikes: Others trusting him, losing his wing, too much work.
Weapons: Makeru uses his magic for almost everything, only relying on his close-combat skills if the enemy gets close.
Magic: Lightening Magic: This used to be Storm Magic, half of the power of the Weather Angel Guardian. But after being made an outlaw, much of that magic was taken from Mak, so much that his current magic is very limited. Makeru can stimulate electricity from his hands, in the form of blue balls of lightening. These can be fired at a target, or used to hold someone still. Makeru can also create basic offensive spells such as lightening beams etc.
History: Makeru's human life was spent at the side of his sister, Shori. He was the silly younger brother to the serious and workaholic sister. Together with their single mother, the two siblings raised sheep on a small farm. Shori took the job more seriously than it was necessary to, since the sheep didn't seem to grow wool as fast as the girl wanted them to. Makeru was a lot more lax. His job was to simply sheer the sheep when they needed it, he wasn't the nurturing type like his mother and sister. And from then on, Mak's life was pretty simple. Shori found a husband when they were older, whom joined Makeru in his job when their farm began to flourish. Their mother died from her brittle age, and Shori was given room to start her own family. Only issue was that her younger brother was still latched onto her heels like a little pup. Makeru lacked a lot of independence, and loved his simple life with his sister. Shori didn't see it the same way, she saw her younger brother as a thorn in her side, and wanted him out the door, kick him off the nest. Her husband picked up on this, and offered to take care of Makeru for her. Things got a bit heated between the siblings during a tough winter and, not caring for the consequences, Shori accepted her husbands offer.
A few days later, a man approached the front door, shooting bullets through the front door at whoever was inside. Clearly the contact Shori's husband had sent for wasn't the best, and only cared for getting the job done without caring for side effects. The shots sliced through the weak wooden door, three bullets sinking into Makeru's chest. Shori was in complete shock. She'd wanted Makeru out of the house, not killed. Shielding the bleeding Makeru, Shori begged the assassin to leave. He shot her in the chest a few times as well, and left the two sibling to die together slowly. However, to make sure the job was done properly, the assassin set the house alight. Shori was wailing as she bled to death, Makeru seemingly unconscious. But then he spoke to her:
"Shori, it's ok. Maybe we die here, but at least we die together right? I don't want to apart from you sister, and I don't care whether this was your doing or not, you've all I've ever cared about. This... isn't your fault."
Happy that she'd been forgiven, Makeru's final words gave Shori a chance as a new Angel. In fact, the final resolve offered both the Kage siblings the chance at an Angel's rebirth.
Makeru was still very close to his sister after rebirth, being told from older Angels that he and Shori were siblings as Humans, and that fact shouldn't change as Angels. But like before, Makeru was always following his sisters steps, going everywhere with her. When Shori was given a job as an Angel Guardian, a rare exception was made. Both Shori and Makeru were given half the powers of the Angel Guardian of Weather. Makeru was in charge of the more stormy weather, whilst Shori handled the gentle, sunny weather patterns. Together they were two, young and happy Angel Guardians. However, life began to repeat itself once more as Shori craved time away from the insecure Makeru. Avoiding him was hard, and on one attempt, things went very wrong. Shori had gone down to Sohul alone, looking for a quiet corner to get some peace and quiet. But then she was caught off guard. A group of Angel Hunters surrounded her, and the Guardian was brutally beaten. Meanwhile, Mak searched all over for his sister, eventually finding her before the gang could do anymore damage. Filled with rage an Angel shouldn't feel, Makeru summoned the strongest of his lightening magic, so strong it burnt straight through the Angel Hunter's bodies. One Hunter managed to get around Mak, tying a string of shadow around one of his black wings, burning the wing off when the Hunter pulled the string tight. In a lot of pain, Makeru killed the remaining Hunters, before caring for his sisters well-being. He managed to struggle onto a roof whilst holding his sister and his injuries, before a small group of Angels came down to help.
Mak assumed they'd come down to help the siblings, but with sad expressions, the Angels simply took Shori away with them, explaining that Makeru was no longer permitted to enter Aura, if he ever could with one wing.
The first few months of being an outlaw were tough. Ripped of most of his power and unable to fly away, Makeru was the center of Human hunting games. Makeru hated everyone for betraying him, and his sister for not even showing after he'd given up everything to save her. Eventually, Makeru got lucky, and managed to steal an aircraft that he could use to escape the troubles of the land below. Up in the clouds again, Makeru slowly began to get better. He relaxed, and decided that hating everyone was too much effort. Instead, he forgot about everyone but himself, and spent the next few years as a unusually happy outlaw. He never heard from his sister again, but knew that Shori was watching him. With every gentle breeze, Makeru knows his sister is keeping an eye on her little brother, and it gives Makeru hope that not everyone forgot about the unfortunate outlaw.
Free Item: Flying Ship:
A small golden ship that Makeru relies on to travel. A rare find the Fallen Angel 'borrowed' from its previous rich owner. It can hold around about 10 people without much struggle, and absorbs magic from the atmosphere to run. When not in use, or when Makeru steps off the ship, by an enchantment placed upon it, the ship will transform into a small golden necklace in the shape of an Angel's wing. In this form, Makeru only needs to throw the necklace forwards to summon the ship. Once on board, Makeru only needs to send a mental message to the ship of where he wishes to go, and the golden ship will take him there. Before he claimed it, the small ship was named 'Golden Angel'.
