Name: Hane Light
Age: 217
Gender: Boy
Race: Angel
Job: Personal Guard to Queen Tenshi
Rank: 5
Appearance: He doesn't really look the part of a royal guard, or someone whose seen as many years as he has, but Hane small and innocent appearance isn't to be taken lightly. His small body adds level to his speed, and throws off most of his opponents at first glance. Hane has pure white hair, spiky and messy. His eyes are a bright yellow, glowing when he is agitated or using magic. Like a small stick, there isn't much else to Hane. He face is usually solemn and emotion-less, only the Queen gets the rare pleasure of seeing the boy smile. His outfit is also a strange attire for a guard. Hane wears the loosest blue shirt and jeans, nothing he wears is armored, since the boy is too fast to really need it. Hane's wings are almost twice the size of his little body, and remain tattered and rough. Although his wings are in this condition, they still add great speed to the boy's flight, making him just as agile in air as on the floor. Under his clothes, Hane's body is littered with small scars across his stomach and back. Hane was made immortal at the age of around 15, and so this is how his appearance is set.
Personality: What isn't work, isn't worth doing. Hane has a one track mind that resolves around his duty to protect the Queen. In a professional sense, she is all Hane cares about. He would go to any length to protect the Queen of Angels, along with his Angel siblings. Being immortal at a price, Hane has already proven how far he'd go to protect others. To him, his life is meaningless compared to others, and so it should be used as a shield to protect the Angelic race. Hane is a very serious boy, literal and almost a complete blank sheet. The only person able to meet his softer side is the Queen, but only after working hard for it. Hane strives for a world of peace for the Angels. He hates chaos, seeing it as a meaningless thorn in the side of life. And so naturally, he has a grudge for Demons, back-up by his experience of them in the past.
His unfortunate age at which he was made immortal means Hane is stuck being short. This, for someone whose job is to protect and guard, doesn't bode well with Hane. He gets livid if someone mentions the height, and has a fear of large animals. Their feral nature backed up by the fact that they stand double the height of Hane means the Angel has a phobia of large steeds.
Likes: His job, working, the light, Aura, Angels.
Dislikes: Animals (especially horses or other tall creatures), his height, demons, harmful beings, corruption, death.
Weapons: Most relies on his swift skills with a weapon, but may sometimes use magic for back-up. He is known to deal with an enemy with such speed that the enemy don't even see him attack.
Magic: Light Magic: Hane's eyes glow a bright yellow when in combat. This is due to his magic. By placing a veil of light around his body, originating from his eyes, Hane repels dark magic and boosts his speed in combat.
History: Hane's past life was spent as a simple blacksmith. He was born to a family of smiths, and picked up the family trade naturally. He fashioned swords of great valor and power, known for his supreme skill in augmenting weapons with magic. His life was simplicity and peace, nothing troubling ever really arrived at Hane's door. Hane himself lived a happy life, marrying the woman he'd admired for years, and never being troubled by Demonic influences. His wife and eldest son did die early in a house fire, but this only improved Hane's relationship with his young daughter. The young girl eventually picked up the blacksmith trade taking over the work completely when Hane grew too fragile and old. And that the entirety of Hane's Human life, simple and peaceful. It was thus only natural that when death came from old age, Hane was granted rebirth as an Angel. He had no idea of the life he was to be reborn into.
Hane was born a quiet Angel at first, although he was friendly and social, he enjoyed his alone time. Whatever time wasn't spent dreaming and taking walks alone, were spent with Hane's three close friends. The four Angels did everything together, and at some points, even the great Queen Tenshi got involved in the children's adventures. The four were admired by the Queen for their sense of fun mixed into duty, as the foursome spent their days defending Sohul and it's inhabitants from dangers. They were, without an official title, guardians in their own rights. Hane remained the quiet one, hiding back a lot of power for when it was needed. His relationship flourished around his beloved friends, and this new life couldn't be any better. Until one day, the challenge the foursome usually face became rapidly overpowering. The group of Angels were being followed one night in the forest of Sohul by a group of Demons. The Demons were in numbers more vast than the teenage group, and hunted the ignorant Angels with a hunger for violence. Hane was the first to notice the dangerous group tailing them, but was soon knock out by a blow from one of the strong Demons. What he woke up to broke something in the young Angel. Blood and feathers were everywhere, and close to Hane were the limp bodies of two of his friends. They had been tortured before death, their wings torn from their backs before being stabbed by the Demons brutality. With his eyes full of terror, Hane watched as the Demons held the last of Hane's friends by the hair, lifting the Angel clear off the ground. With their cruel fangs flashing grins of hunger, the Demons took their time to bite and punch at Hane's defenseless friend, leaving the young Angel to slowly die from wounds.
Hane turned from fear to pure hatred. For something so violent to appear in the innocent teen's life, it truly broke Hane. So much that the almost powerless Angel charged forward to stab his small blade through the closest Demon's heart. For a moment, the group of Demons were caught off guard, long enough for Hane to put two more to eternal death without much struggle. But his attacks barely put a dent into the Demon's strength, and the rest of the savages easily managed to disarm Hane and force him to the ground.
Pinned down with Shadow knives in each hand, slowly poising his angelic blood, Hane was at the mercy of the Demon's blood lust. And they didn't play around when it came to quenching their thirst for blood. For the next painful hour, Hane's body was treated like a pin cushion. His wings were chewed on and slashed, and each Demon took it in turns to add a cut onto the Angel's back. After they got bored, the Demons released Hane from their clutches, watching wickedly as the boy tried to run in his condition. Hane couldn't feel anything but pain, his body had gone cold from blood loss and yet somehow he managed to keep running, no matter how many times the Demons jumped on him during their little game of chase. He couldn't fly either, and so Hane's hope for survival were gone. Eventually, Hane's body collapsed in a small pool of crimson blood, the Demons catching up to his lifeless body with cruel smiles. Before they could add the finish blow to the mix of pain already inflicted on Hane's small body, a great presence stopped them in their tracks. A massive Dragon landed down from the skies, shouting violently at the Demons. Hane couldn't make out the booming words, he was too far gone to understand anything that was going on. But the purple Dragon seemed to scare away the Demons with only his voice, and then stayed close to the small Angel's side until someone else came. Hane was turned over gently, his blurry vision looking forwards at a figure of beautiful light. For a moment, Hane could hear the pair's words:
"Is he?" The purple Dragon asked in his growling voice. The figure of light placed a warm hand over Hane's forehead. "There is little light left." Came the harmonic voice of a woman. Hane felt himself being picked up, "We don't have much time. Thank you my old friend." And with that, the woman of light lifted herself and Hane into the skies.
Hane woke up a few days later, alive. Still in immeasurable pain, but alive. He was in a soft bed, surrounded by the grand walls of Shiro, the Queen's castle. Said royalty soon came to visit the dazed Angel by his bedside, explaining calmly why he was where he was. As it happened, the Demon King Mo came at the last moment to command his Demon children away from killing Hane, giving way for Queen Tenshi to follow. She then hurried him up to Aura, and to the closest Sun Temple. It was a hopeful effort, but the Queen prayed for the Sun Goddess to spare the boy's life. The Queen explained how it wasn't yet Hane's time to leave, and that she couldn't bare to see all from that little group of happy Angels she's watched grow up die. With her wish so strong, the Sun Goddess granted the Queen's wish. Hane's life was spared, but the only way to save him was to grant the boy immortality. However, immortality like the Queen of Angels was an impossible gift, and so Hane's eternal life was given at a price. Hane was bound to Aura, his life-line only stretched as far as the borders of the Angelic lands. Spending too long in either Sohul or Dranar would slowly drain Hane of his life, and the only exception would be when escorting the Queen as in those circumstances her immense light energy would protect him. So Hane's options of what to do with himself were almost set in stone. He felt a strong need to repay the Queen for her efforts to save him, as well as honor the life his friends lost. And so, Hane trained hard to become the Queen's personal guard. The royal Angel stated many times that she required no such assistance, but seeing Hane's constant determination to repay her, the Queen eventually accepted Hane's position. Hane spent over a century by the Queens side, his every thought was into training himself and protecting her. Whilst he isn't the strongest, due to the conditions of his immortality, Hane does his job well. His trust in Demons has never recovered, even after the many years of improved relationships between Demons and Angels. But he does try to vision a future of peace between all three realms, one where his much admired Queen can rest happily along with all the Angels.
Free Item: Weapon - Magic Enchantment: Using powerful light magic, Hane's ordinary double blades were transformed into an all-round weapon. By connecting them together in different ways, Hane could create a large two-handed sword, a bow or handgun.
