Sayo had long since forgiven Shinda for all that he had done, understanding the reasons behind his actions, even if she never agreed with them. And she couldn't be more grateful to her sister for accepting Shinda back in after everything, going as far to save him, and even more importantly, Akvan, who had not any reason to forgive, and yet become a brother. It warmed her heart to see that Shinda at least came to another family in the end, how he didn't spend his last moments alone and in pain. "Mummy? Whens daddy getting here?" Sayo looked down to her daughter, smiling softly. She had been informed they were allowed to meet Shinda at the gate, the others to follow behind after their reunion. Musume had been excited to finally meet her father face to face, the eight year old finally being able to interact with Shinda instead of just watching and waiting. "Soon my love, he's being walked over now." Not that he would remember being walked to the gates, none ever do, but its deaths way of forgiving sins when its due, guiding the soul to the right realm. And Sayo gripped her daughters hand tight as she watched the gates be opened, and Shinda to appear before them, tears in her eyes as she watched Musume escape her grasp and leap to Shinda, hugging him close, the echo of "Daddy!" run through the air. "Hello Shinda." Her only words before she broke down crying, and hugging the man she never stopped loving close to her.

Shinda found himself smiling into death. The pain wasn't there anymore, as he'd died, his niece had removed it for him. Eira was a good girl, a kindness like her fathers, it made Shinda smile to think of that family he'd been accepted into. Despite how he was leaving them. But as much as Shinda wanted to cling onto life to be with them, there was another family, who had waited a long time to finally see him again, and vice versa. There was a face he needed to see, to remember once more and replace the faded ones he'd carried in life. Death felt weightless, one moment Shinda felt like he was sinking into the ground, the next, he was flying. In a void of darkness, he floated, his body without feeling, and yet relaxed. Shinda swore he saw himself, below, his body, those around it. And, whilst it might just be an illusion, he still smiled sadly, giving them his last thanks and farewell.
Then he was gone, blackness took him, but only for a short while, or perhaps forever. Time had no place in death, so Shinda had no idea how long he was floating in that abyss for. But, eventually, there was a light. A light beyond any other light that filtered into Shinda's eyes, hugging his vision in a warmth, as if he'd never been able to see before now. And around him, every noise imaginable, but not in a chaotic mixture, no. The sounds around him formed a symphony of sound, giving Shinda's ears the same warmth his eyes received. Every sense seemed to be comforted, in this strange place of light. Shinda felt his legs, and arms, and found himself walking. It felt strange, having his body move against his will, but Shinda let it happen, something told him he was going the right way, despite everything around him looking the same.
The surroundings didn't seem to change, the noise, the light, it was the same. But, there was one thing new, that appeared all of a sudden. Shinda felt something crash into him, a young voice piercing the harmony around him. And Shinda looked down to see a strange little girl, hair pure white, skin a mix of red and pale. And despite knowing he never met this child before, Shinda's eyes watered, and in death, Shinda knew this child was his. He held her close, unable to form words, then looked up to hear his name, and someone his heart knew so well. And at last Shinda had a crystal clear image of the woman he loved, as she stood before him, after waiting so long for his arrival. Shinda broke down too, it was just too easy to do so. Sayo moved first, and Shinda was two thousand years ready to hold her again. "S... Sayo!" He mumbled, face folding into the side of her neck, unable to do anymore for now.

Sayo held Shinda close for what seems like seconds and years rolled into one. Never wanting to let go, in fear of losing him again, though she knew it was impossible now. After so long, Sayo let go, smiling to Shinda tears still in her eyes. "Welcome home... I missed you so much. As has Musume, she's been waiting to meet her father, right sweet heart?" The little girl smiled, holding Shinda close again gripping his hand. "Uh huh, watched you all these years making sure no meanie hurt you before it was your time, or so mummy says." Sayo gave a chuckled at the toothy grin before looking back to Shinda still unable to really believe he was finally coming home. "The others cant wait to see you either, I believe Rifi was talking about a fight you owe him..." It was easier talking like this, then addressing the fact he died to be here, even if she was glad for it. Sayo just wanted to ease back into how they use to be, though she knew she had to make sure Shinda knew what happened before he can go any further. "I want you to come back with us through the gates Shinda, but you know I you pass with us... There's no return, its your time. You understand right?"

Shinda chuckled, it sounded a little gurgled under the tears, but the Demon was honestly overjoyed. He held on to Sayo for as long as he could, only loosening his hold when she addressed the little one. Ah, so this was his. Shinda's eyes swam in tears, but he pushed them away as he knelt down on one knee, looking over little Musume. Stroking her hair, then holding one hand to her face, "You did that for me? Thank you so much... oh little one... you look so much like your mother." He muttered, placing a kiss on her forehead. She was perfect, part of Shinda wished she'd seen the living world... but if this was death, then it wasn't a bad alternative. He got back up, a hand on Musume's head still, whilst taking Sayo in the other arm, kissing her cheek, then almost snorting. "Oh I bet he's being holding that in for a long time..." He commented. If time meant anything here, which Shinda doubted. A lot of things about Death were confusing, but perhaps that was the whole point. Shinda looked to to Sayo, then behind him. "I... I understand. Ever since I got out of a place between life and death, I wanted to see you again. But... I suppose I didn't think I was forgiven yet. I'm not sure if I am now... but I know when my time's up, I hope everyone down there knows it too."

Sayo locked in the tears when seeing Shinda and their daughter interact, barely able to hold in the happy sob at watching Musume kiss him back tears in her own eyes, before smiling as Shinda brought her back into his arms. "She has your eyes though, and smile... " Two things she couldn't be happier about every time she looked at their daughter. Giving a chuckle behind her hand, Sayo have a nod. "He's been pretty much buzzing since we got here, and even more so when we told him we were on our way to pick you up. Too much to handle our dear brother." But it was calming to see them so excited, even after all they disproved of Shinda doing over the years. Sayo followed Shinda's gaze before listening to him, smile widening at every word. Thank goodness for him being ready, she feared almost him wishing to return. "And for that alone you are forgiven. Many who come here are asked the same question, and almost all say they are not ready and try to return, for that they are punished, and banished from the gates. You, your have accepted your death, have not asked to be forgiven nor to return, and was willing to accept whatever was given for that." Sayo gave Shinda a kiss, hands holding his cheeks, spreading warmth into him, and magic only given if allowed. "There, now you are free to join us, never to be separated again."
