Note: Takes place during 'Stop Living in the Past' when Shyon drags Banto away.
Shyon didn't hesitate once the arguments began to drag Banto away to clean him up and get him out the cross fire. People had stopped looking on now luckily, it seemed as if the events circulated around pretty quick and people were now blatantly averting their eyes from them both. Her plan was to drag him to the tower, it was better to find Gensho now and get Banto's mind off things while she still could, though it was a struggle to quickly rush over with hundreds of people blocking the streets. But she managed, up until they actually reached the temple and a commotion of its own was going on just outside the doors. "For fuck sake... What now?" Looking to Banto, Shyon gave a smile. "Be back in a moment, I'm going to see what's happening..." Hopefully it wasn't anything too bad, which she regretted saying as she pushed passed everyone, now noticing how they were all girls. Few noticed her do so, it wasn't until she got to the front to see the damned Demon Prince being swooned over, and the 'big fans' she pushed pass grumble towards her for getting in front. She watched on for a few moment before laughing, people like him infuriated her even it at first she found the situation painfully amusing.

Art didn't think knuckles could go any more white, or a jaw could be so clenched. Then again, he'd not seen Marzzi in years, perhaps the big guy was always so tense like this. Then again he doubted Marzzi had to deal with someone putting a flower in his big tuft of hair whilst he tried to work, and also brought an entire crowd of screaming girls with him. Art smiled down as he noticed Marzzi was clearly trying to ignore his presence as he worked, which made the Prince pout. "Oh come now Marzzi, we haven't met in years and you don't want to talk?" Art asked. Marzzi's eyes twitched into a glare, before continuing to ignore. Art turned to look to the many girls, giving him and the big guy about two feet of space, hearing them all squeal when he no more than looked their way. "Is the crowd a little much? I suppose there are a lot of them this year." Art suggested, sighing and moving a little away from poor Marzzi, who didn't do more than grumble and growl. Art smirked to the crowd, all those wide eyed, strawberry red-faced ladies looking his way. "Ladies please, my hearts goes out to all of you, for dedicating your time to see me," More squeals, "But me and my friend here, we haven't seen each other in years, and I'm desperate to catch up with him." Some mumbles. Art smiled warmly, "I might humbly ask, that we be left with some space, if only for a moment. It would truly warm my heart, if you all do this small favour for me." His honeyed words were taken well, as usual, although Art was certain he could ask them to do anything and they'd all jump at the chance to make him happy. So after a few more cries, some with actual tears, the group of ladies slowly backed away, none too far, because they didn't want any others getting closer to the Prince then them, but enough for some air room. Art chuckled, looking down to Marrzi, "Is this better?" The brute still didn't talk. Art's face dropped a little, something was still between them, he knew what it was, but didn't want to ask Marzzi about it, if it made him uncomfortable. "He didn't come this year, didn't even come out of his room." Art mumbled, Marzzi stopped working for a moment to look up to the Prince. Before a girl came marching closer, dodging the vicious hands of other ladies trying to keep her back. Art's smile came back, "Why hello young miss, care to see the Prince of Demons for yourself, I can admit, I'm just as endearing as those stories say."

Shyon gave the prince a look as he headed over and spoke, before nocking down her cloak and giving him a sneer. "Actually I've come to move your flat little ass out the way of the tower doors for me and my friend to get though... Oh, and make your flock of pigeons move too... Wouldn't want the riff raff to get in my way." This was why he infuriated her, the flirting and the disregard for it... Every year he would walk around with a bunch of girls following behind swooning over him as he acted all high and mighty. God forbid if he ever takes over his fathers role as king, she would likely kill herself before following what he wanted. "Oh and those stories give you way too much justice, I'd much rather meet a frog in person... Then again, it may be your twin, so I think I would rather not." Shyon gave a smirk and raised her eye brow finally seeing the other behind the prince. "Oh and might want to leave the poor lad alone over there, some people actually are here to work and wouldn't likely rather not have some spoiled little rich kid interrupt them."

Art smirked, he'd not come across someone so.. interesting before. Then again many of the female variety who came to talk to him were solely there to declare their love or ask for his 'help' with something. This was a different kind of girl. A little too young for him, but Art wouldn't be well known for his compassionate manner of speaking if he wasn't kind to everyone and anyone. "Oh but they have moved, and they've been so considerate about personal space so far. And of course I will move for someone so strong-willed and to the point, your persuasion impresses me." Art replied, "I have to say, it's a little hazardous in there what with all the plans for the Ball, I'd execute caution and warn you, but a young lady so proud like yourself should be fine." He added with a smile, whilst also, for the record, not moving from in front of the doors. "Ah but they were just stories, in my humble opinion, I'm not worth the glory others put to my name, I can only hope to live up to their expectations, and perhaps I can meet the standards of that frog, in your eyes, so then you might want to meet with me instead." Art replied, giving her a smile. He was sure her harshness and smirk was supposed to get to him, but the Prince wasn't as delicate as the flowers he gave out to people, he could be as resilient as the Demon blood in his veins. He too looked back to Marzzi, the big guy had lifted his goggles to look and watch this whole scene himself. "And that's the problem, no one should be working at a time like this!" Art explained, "My friend Marzzi over there needs to have some fun and stop working so hard, in my opinion, me and my friends were just coming over to help pull him away and help him."

"That's because they are a bunch of snivelling little weasel bags who hope to get some kind of reward for doing as you ask... Only for their own selfish little gain..." Makes her sick really... And she's seen it all before year in and year out, Shyon had to admit though, it was nice finally being able to get her thoughts out. "I don't fear what's happening inside, that's actually why me and my friend are heading in, to help out his father with organising bits... Not that you would have any idea what a little bit of hard work is... These things don't just magically happen you know." Shyon noted how he didn't more and gave a low growl, she would force him if she had to... And that wouldn't end well for anyone. Shyon gave the other a smile though, and a snort. "The day you live up to those expectations, is the day your nothing but a rotting corpse in a coffin... I wouldn't want to meet with your kind anymore then I would want to meet my previous guardian..." So, not at all really. Gesturing around to the whole festival, Shyon gave another growl. "Seriously, did you ignore what I just said... This, doesn't just happen by magic... People work hard to bring you what's here... Your friend here is one of those hard working few, and again, you clearly don't know a thing about that..." It didn't even look like help, it looked more like harassment... Marzzi as his name was, clearly didn't want to go with.

Art found this girl fascinating, and probably a pessimist. Seeing the bad instead of the good. He only smiled back, looking to the girls around them, the background to this little chat that would mutter and swoon over his name. Art shook his head, "I think they just want company, this Festival reminds us of a hard time in the past, and some people have different ways of forgetting what happened. Some like to swoon over the Prince of Demons, hoping to get close to my heart, and if that's how they get over it all, then fine by me." Art replied. He didn't care about all the girls following him. They weren't hurting anyone, they were just enthusiastic and happy, so why should Art judge or stop them from following him around? He looked to the girl, then behind her, frowning a little. "A friend?" Art asked, seeing nothing beyond the sea of young ladies. Art continued to smile, as she claimed this wasn't all done by magic, and he tried not to giggle. Because, technically, a lot of the things that made the Festival came from magic. And he continued smiling, even as she said Art didn't know what hard work was. He wished he could be like that, but unfortunately the Prince did know hard work, he enjoyed the Festival because it got him away from his 'hard work'. And every year his hard work was for nothing, because the one person he was working hard to fix refused to come down, refused to live like Art was helping him to. But the Prince just smiled back, a charming smile. "I've actually finished organising the event in Kurrayami, that I run so that other Demons don't have to. Today is the day I relax a bit, help entertain the young ladies around here, before going back to work tomorrow. I know people work hard, I take it as a duty as Prince of Demons to thank those people, and help them in return." Art glanced down to Marzzi, "My old friend here has done nothing but work this entire time, and he deserves some time to himself in this Festival, because it means a lot more to him than he's willing to admit." Art replied, speaking on the big guy's behalf, and for once, Marzzi just watched him with a curious eye, as did many, when Art's flirty layer began to fade just that little bit.

Shyon gave a look back to the girls and scoffed, most weren't even old enough to have been part of that war, let alone have to get over bad times. It was the biggest load of bull she had ever heard, and that was saying something considering she took out criminals for a living. "More like trying to get over their parents or guardians haunted looks telling them about it, I mean really, your little posse contains girls who shouldn't even be out alone at this time of day..." Maybe not that bad, but he should get the picture. Shyon could tell Art didn't see Banto, fearing what he might do after seeing what his father said, but she gave a nod, and a glare. Raising an eye at Art, she still didn't give him the benefit of the doubt, sure he runs one event so others don't, but some she knows has way more work to do, and its clear this isn't the only day he gets to relax, and as pricy boy he probably had more help then he realised. And looking to the other, Shyon just scoffed. "Oh please, don't speak for the kid. And I doubt you did it all alone, I know that for a fact... You should learn to help others beside old friends and the ladies more then just once a year, god knows how they need it... So don't play little games with me prince boy, its not going to work." Shyon just wanted him to move and for the flock of girls to clear a path so that she and Banto can get by... Was they really too much to ask? "Seeing kid, move it before I fucking make you..."

Art took a look around at the girls. True most of them were young, younger than him, but he didn't mind. He didn't feel anything for them all other than appreciation, he just knew that to them, he was some sort of idol. He didn't mind, not even back when it had started when he'd grown up a bit more and certain 'handsome' features had grown with him. It made them all happy and entertained, and he didn't even have to do much to do that either. He smirked, not really understanding what this girl's deal was. It wasn't jealously, Art could tell, just something else she didn't like about him. Art heard Marzzi finally get to his feet, perhaps coming over to finally talk, ask what Art meant when he said this Festival meant a lot to the big guy. But Shyon was still talking, again acting like she knew Art a lot more than she really did. Art was quiet, he let her finish, before sighing. "You're a Demon living down in Sohul, right?" Art asked, very suddenly serious, "There's a lot of Demons living down here since the war ended. A lot to manage, a lot to care for... do you think my dad cares for all of them on his own?" He asked, not expecting an answer. Art did know, since his dads weren't immortal, that one day he and Sky would probably take over their roles. He was well aware what responsibility that would be, it put stress on his shoulders every day. Not to mention also using any available time to make his brother not feel like a monster. Art's life wasn't so much of a game as Shyon thought, and he might not look like it, but her words did hurt a little. Marzzi could tell, as old a friend as he was, he knew, and was about to put a hand on Art's shoulder, when the Prince suddenly moved to the side. "You can go on in then, the more hands to help the better." Art said, before putting an arm in the way. "I am curious though, who's this friend of yours?"

Note: Leading straight on from Sky and Banto's thread that was happening at the same time as this one, a progression into it if you will.
Sky lead Banto over to the girls, making sure as to keep his face hidden at least until they were through. It was easy to get the girls to part, most knowing whom she was and not wanting to get into the princesses way. Though she made sure to keep to the flock to the side of her brother as she gave out a chuckle at the site in front of her. She knew the girl had a right to what she said, hell she couldn't understand what was meant and part of her knew she was just saying these things because she lived them, it wasn't hard to tell. But none really knew of the pressure put onto her brothers shoulders and part of Sky wanted to go over and defend him... But she couldn't, if only to make sure he could deal with this sort of thin the day they were asked to take over. Walking up behind her brother, making sure Banto was in tow and glaring slightly to the girls who seemed to recognise him, if only by whispers, before placing a hand on Arts shoulder. "Be careful when you play with fire Art, you may just get burned." Giving a small smile to the girl, Sky looked back to her brother. "A friend that was long ago yours dear brother. It seems fate has a funny way of showing up again, isn't that right Banto?" Giving a smile to him, Sky trying to make the first introductions after so long less painful, she once again turned to the girl. "I'm Sky, its a pleasure to meet you. Though I wish the meeting was under better circumstances then you shouting at my brother, he does more then people realise... Even if I do have to shadow him during his resting day to make sure he doesn't slip up and get attacked... Again." Raising an eyebrow to her brother to remind him of that, and try to add a joking vibe back to the conversation, Sky was curious to how things would play out.

It wasn't all the girls that made Banto nervous, it was what was just beyond them. His neck seemed to vanish under his shoulders, and Banto just curled in on himself to try and smother the nerves in his stomach. He could hear shouting, smirking ever so slightly when he heard it to be Shyon, almost brought out of his nerves to hear her voice. Then he saw Art and Marzzi, facing away from him for now. But, it wouldn't take long. Sky took the lead, being nice enough to lay things out gently, not suddenly drag Banto in. She said his name, and something froze in Art. He didn't move, but Marzzi did. The bigger guy was so much bigger than Banto remembered him, more than the obvious ten year difference. He gave Banto one long look before two big arms came forward. Banto didn't get a chance to breath, before he was lifted right up into a hug, one that was close to being deadly. "You son of a bitch." Marzzi growled, "Any idea how borin' it's been without you around?" Marzzi asked, ruffling some of Banto's hair before finally putting him down. Banto sucked in a breath, chuckling nervously. "Really? I-I can't imagine I was that important to you..." Marzzi gave him a chilling glare, Banto swallowed, "You, um... you've been doing alright though? I've had a read of one of your books, Marzzi, the ones on Magic importing?" There was an obvious blush to the brutes face, "The wording could have been better but... you really are a genius, Marzzi." Banto commented, before coughing awkwardly. They hadn't met for ten years and Banto was already paying the over-complimenting card. But, he was surprised when Marzzi just snorted and laughed. "You were more important to me than you think Banto... an' to Art, right?" Marzzi asked, looking over to the Prince.

Those words from Art just brought back bad memories for Shyon. No, he was right, she didn't believe the king did it all alone, she knows he doesn't... But not all who help are helpful... Some like to take, like to abuse that power. "Yeah, I didn't have a choice, I did a lot of things wrong because of where I ended up. I'm one of the few to fix it, but there's many who don't. Why do you think way back when before me or you were alive people rebelled, that Demons and Angels alike became outlawed?" It was a stab at things that people forgave but never forgot, and though things are different from back then, it wasn't entirely, and the prince needed an eye opener to the big world outside his spoilt little life. Giving a smile, Shyon began to head to the door, before scowling as she was stopped again, but before she could even speak or act, another voice sounded, and Shyon gave a smile a she saw who, and whom was with. Sky, she didn't actually mind, seeing what the princess does and how much she tries to help everyone, and it seemed that she had managed to get to Banto too. Plus she seemed to know how she acted well, and it always amuses her as she knows they are the ones she can trust. Nodding to her, with the first formal greeting they have ever had, Shyon didn't even mind her making a joke over their first introductions. "Shyon, and your brother here just needed a kick up the backside to learn some things, no foul..." Looking to Banto as he was ambushed by the other man, Shyon gave a small step forward in protection before stopping herself in hearing his words, and relaxing enough to just stand next to him. "Glad you could join us."

Art was set to reply further, but his mouth sealed to a new voice. He usually shut up when Sky stepped in, his sister was surprisingly good with words, and in some ways, better at speaking to people than the Prince was. He smiled to her approach, shrugged off her comment with a smirk and wink. But, the smile faded, her introduction to an 'old friend of his' caught in Art's throat. And whilst Marzzi reacted, Art just stared blankly, nervously. Marzzi continued talking, and Banto spoke back. He'd grown, still super pale and timid, but it was better than dead. Art shook the memory away but it persisted. Only when Marzzi said his name did Art shake out of his thoughts. He smiled softly, walking up to Banto, the guy was taller than him now. "Of course." Art mumbled. Before sighing, looking down and composing himself. "I thought..." Art began, looking up with a new smile on his face, he shrugged his shoulders, "I thought you'd... you know, since that day." Art explained, swallowing hard. "Sorry, I shouldn't bring it up, probably bad memories. I'm just... I'm sorry you have to have bad memories of us, Banto. I thought perhaps I could, make this life a little better, you know?" Art said, sighing again, looking away, trying to ignore the scar on Banto's neck that the Prince swore was staring at him. A hand came to his shoulder, and then a larger one to the other. "I like r-remembering you two..." Banto replied slowly, "Sure, there's some bad memories, but... memories of you two aren't any of them. Besides, I should be sorry... after that day, I kind of, hid away.. I should have at least told you I was alive." Banto added, a weak smile on his face. Art had a better smile on now, a hand over the one Banto put on his shoulder. "You're here now though, here for the Festival... I suppose people are giving you grief, most likely my Pa?" Art asked, the small shudder was all he needed as an answer. "Then why don't you and your friend, Shyon was it? Come into the Tower, it's a lot quieter in there, since only authorised people are allowed inside, and hey, I'm authorised, so you guys can be my guests." Art said, already slowly dragging them inside.

Shyon gave a small smile over to Banto, in a way glad he was reconnecting. Though with whom was a little less then satisfactory, heading over to his side though, Shyon wouldn't be cruel to the prince any longer, not at least while Banto was around... She knew it wouldn't be a permanent thing, even if she promised. "We are authorised, hence why I've been trying to move you out the way, we were off to help finish with setting up the ball with Gensho." She was still bitter about having been stopped from going inside. Though Shyon looked back to Sky as they began to move off and knew she wasn't following. "Not going to leave me with the guys alone are you?" The words more her true self then she ever had done with someone besides Banto. "I'll catch up in a bit, I have my own duties to attend to... As well as making sure none sneak into my libraries. Again." Shyon watched as Sky gave a wink and a smile before heading off, leaving Shyon with the others, she knew she would but heads with them, but perhaps it wouldn't be so bad... She was complaining that she spent most festivals alone, karma she guessed.
