To mark the end of the War that broke apart the three races of Human, Angel and Demon, it was agreed that on the anniversary of the day the war was ended, there would be a festival to celebrate the new unity of the races.
This years marks the 19th year since the war ended, and despite new tensions, the festival carries on despite the news of danger. In the towns of Baransu and Sora, and in the kingdoms of Shiro and Kurrayami, games, fun and song will take place for an entire week. Friends will be made, and memorials will be said for those who lost their lives to the conflict 19 years ago. In coming together, all the races will be reminded of how, on the fateful day the war ended, they all came together, they forgave, they forgot, and they united together as a people.
The festival lasts for a week, but is broken down into different events for each day. All people of all races are permitted to go about as they please, with airship services going to and from Shiro, Kurrayami and Sora throughout the festival.
Day 1: Is a day of remembering. The first day is the chance for family and friends to come together and litter the streets with memorials of their own choice. The day is marked a peaceful one, where all are free to remember and respect family and friends who died because of the events 19 years prior. The day can be considered a sad one, but the result is truly beautiful, as viewed on previous years. As when the day ends, the streets are covered with candles, flowers and other such items that light up the cities.
Day 2-4: For three days the Festival breaks down into random activities, supported by the people themselves as they open up stalls to sell special items or to play games. Usually on these days, with the free airship service, many Humans travel up to Shiro or Kurrayami for the sake of getting a taste of the different cultures there.
Day 5: The day of fun. Whilst the small festivities of day 2-4 are fun, day 5 is when the games really begin. Each of the three races vote on a game and host it in their lands.
-This year, for its third year in a row, Shiro will host a Cooking competition, for accomplished or skilled chefs to take to the best kitchens in all the lands to compete against one another in creating a perfect dish, to be judged by the high guard and winner of the last two games, (which is the reason why he was banned from competing,) Hane Light.
-Kurrayami will be hosting a Skull Hunt. Where anyone and everyone is invited to the dark red city of Kurrayami to hunt down colourful skulls that are littered around the massive city for the chance of winning a grand prize, one mysterious and rare item, as well as a 'day out' with the one and only Demon Prince, Art himself.
-And in Sora, after the construction of the Castle's grand arena, there will be a friendly 'Fight for the Champion'. In which those who believe in their combat prowess finally get to stretch their legs and their powers in arena battles. The fights are friendly, no serious injuries are allowed, and magic is controlled to avoid collateral damage or serious risks. However, the games in previous years haven't been taken too seriously, and the fighters involved are fully aware it is for fun, rather than getting aggressive and desperate to prove themselves... usually. Anyone of any race is allowed, but the match up are selected to make the fights more fair for those involved, and the winner of all fights is considered the 'Champion' of Sora.
Day 6: The day itself is nothing special, what stalls are still open provide entertainment, but many use the day to prepare for the evening. Because as night falls, the Grand Ball begins. A ball at last, put off for so many years as history still haunts the present with previous happenings, but at last a Ball returns. It invites everyone to it, as the Ball itself takes place everywhere. Music is carried across all lands by magic, allowing everyone to dance together in unity. It begins with a meal, shared out amongst everyone, with samples of the Shiro's Cooking competition's winner handed out to those interested. Then a memorial for the losses of the last known Ball take place, as well as a speech from the three rulers of the races, Blye, Kakushin and Rurushu. It is by the King's joint declarations, that the dance begins, and the night is left to the people to enjoy and be merry.
Day 7: The day of giving. The last day is the day to seek out those met during the festivities, or family and friends also enjoying the week. It's a day of giving others gifts, no matter if they're friends or strangers, and it is encouraged to seek out those of a different race to talk to, get to know and bond with. It is a day to symbolise the unity the three races now share with one another, and to celebrate how their differences can now be their bonds.
This year, despite the recent danger including the ex-King of Demons Mo, has not been cancelled as some expected. However, precautions have been announced. The Festival will only take place in the decided areas: Sora, Baransu, Kurrayami and Shiro. And people are encouraged to remain in those cities throughout the festival. Guards are on high alert, and the members of the Iwa clan have offered their support in acting as security throughout the Festival. With this to ease any tensions or fears the people might have towards the Festival, it will carry on as normal.
