Notes: Takes place probably a little after Emeri is killed.
Kakushin had his kingdom back, his family was slowly coming back together. He almost felt worthy to be a King of Aura again. Things seemed to turn dark in Sohul, with Blye suddenly emerging, claiming Emeri was gone, either dead or forever. And Kakushin had found that wording confusing, as one way or the other, they'd never see her again. It was a shock, but Kakushin cared more about his friend's state than this change in leadership. He and Ru vowed to help Blye in whatever way they could, advice, whatever the young man needed. After all, he'd restored Kaku's home to it's former glory, after it had been destroyed by a vile and sickening Human. And for some reason, that vile Human had slipped from Kaku's mind, especially realising that Banto would be an Angel now, having been ended by Kakushin's sword.
He'd only realised that issue, when he returned up to Shiro, hearing the murmurs of some of the servants. A group of ladies were swarming around one of the kitchen staff, speaking to her in hushed voices, although their tones seemed shocked, and almost angry. "You've kept it this long... just... find somewhere to hide it." "Bury it if you have to." Another said, Kakushin frowned, clearing his throat as he neared them. The group turned. Most were Human, two were Angels, from the small group found after the war, that had fled far to escape it. They all looked shocked, going silent as he drew close. "Your majesty." One greeted as she curtsied. Kakushin gave them a half smile, "What's this you all want to get rid off?" He asked, straight to the point. All the ladies looked to the one they'd been talking to just a moment ago, and she sheepishly looked up to Kaku, walking forward to show him the small... incredibly small infant. Kakushin stared at it for a while, unable to see what the meaning of this was, until he thought back to their suggestions, then recognised the small boy's eyes. "I found him alone in the Birthing Tower... I... I had no idea who he was until recently." The woman admitted. Kakushin tried to steady his breathing. This was just a child, barely a few weeks old. And yet, Kakushin hated him so much. He could only see that Banto that had stolen his children, destroyed his home, killed so many. And he almost growled. "Get rid of it." He suddenly said, and for a moment, it surprised the others. He gave them all a stern look, "For what he's done, to Angel and Human and Demon alike, he'd never be accepted here... or anywhere. I would normally permit any soul to be reborn and live again, but not this one... Do what you must to get rid of him." Kakushin stated. The one holding Banto carefully began to shake a little. She looked barely an adult, and thinking about... killing an infant shook her badly. "B-but... my lord.. I can't." She muttered. Kakushin sighed heavily, before giving her a sad smile. "Alright... I'll do it." He replied. She might not have been willing to sin herself, but handing over Banto had been easy enough to do. And the child in his arm, Kakushin turned, heading straight out of Shiro, and down to Sohul. He'd not leave the boy up in his kingdom, the kingdom he'd once taken from Kakushin. So Kaku landed in a quiet and desolate part of Sohul, hoping to end this quickly.

Yume had been thrown into a loop with the war at its end and everything... Suddenly having someone around all the time, more as a guest or friend... And added to the sudden socialising she did more of, Yum felt out of place, and yet, happy for once, like things were how they should be. But some of the talks with Gensho made her feel like she was missing something. It wasn't until a few weeks later that she figured out what, having seen Gensho around doing his job and getting praise for it from them. Yume fled after that, this not something she ever expected she wanted, it was hard enough having someone to care for, let alone that. Yume had fled to an isolated part of Sohul, letting herself burn the surroundings up until she saw Kaku arrive with a bundle in his arms. The boy Banto, the child that none wanted, news having spread like wildfire when first discovered that morning. Yume was there, but in her haste left to early to know what was happening, it was a good sign to see a child born, gave hope that they could have life again within the Angels. But Yume saw the look on the Kings face, that of pure anger and hatred, and she knew what this boy did, but he was reborn now, the one thing she had always believed within their race thanks to Tenshi, the chance to be born a new, another chance... Yume didn't hesitate to run over to the king and all but force the baby from his arms, before holding out her arm in defence. "Do I even want to know what you had planned for this child?"
[Do you know how difficult it is to make an 'uncaring' but caring Yume work?]

Kaku didn't even know if he had the heart to kill an infant. He just forced himself to be angry at the memories of Banto, rather than pay the sleeping child in his arms any other respect. He'd figure out a way, just leave him in the forest somewhere if he had to. He just needed to get rid of this dark soul before anything bad happened. Of course Rebirth offered people a new chance, but more often than not, their Angel life just reflected their Human one, or the same with Demons. Kakushin didn't want to risk losing everything again, and he was working hard to set up walls, and remove threats that might just take away everything he loved once more. He stopped, swallowing hard, looking down at the sleeping boy, trying his hardest to see the face of a killer. Lost in that deep thought, Kakushin was surprised when all of a sudden, the boy was gone, and he blinked, staring into empty hands. He heard the woken baby begin to cry, and Yume's voice. Kakushin sighed heavily, before looking her in the eye. "You know what I was going to do. What needs to be done, Yume." Kakushin replied.
"If not me, then someone else will do it. Either way, that... boy won't be welcome anywhere." Kakushin added. He looked to Banto, then back to Yume. "Our race might offer a second chance, but it doesn't make one forgiven of their sins. He won't be able to live, not happy, not like any other Angel. I'm... I'm just doing what's best right now Yume. I'm ending the suffering before it can even begin." Kakushin admitted. He did in part believe for Banto's sake, he should just die now before suffering a harsh life. But, most of Kakushin still glared at the infant with a undying rage and hatred, to what that soul had done.

Yume just glared at Kaku, wondering what had happened to her old friend for him to turn into this monster, before giving out a humourless laugh and bouncing the crying baby to calm him down. "How easy was it to convince yourself of this lie. You know as well as I do that being reborn gives a second chance, that if you raised him, he would be good and pure, unlike his human self. Trying to convince yourself otherwise is just your anger talking." Looking down to the kid, Yume gave a few hushes, before making a quick decision that would change her life, and perhaps cause Gensho to faint in surprise. "I'm not letting you murder this baby in cold blood for what his human self did. May I remind you how many people your husband killed willingly? How you almost let your children believe you didn't care for them in your anger? Oh yes I heard about that, Sky still has nightmares about it even I cant rid of... I'm not going to let this child suffer because of you, he will be welcome, because I'm going to raise him to be respected and kind. I wont let him get hurt because of you monsters..." To have a son of her own... What was Yume getting herself into?

A part of Kaku knew Yume wouldn't accept his decision. When had she ever agreed with the King anyway? It almost mad him smile, if this situation made Kakushin want to do anything but glare at Yume and the child. He tried not to let her words get to him, Kakushin needed to figure out that it was his decision, and as King his rules were final. He believed that despite whatever measures were made to help Banto be good, something would happen to change that. Kakushin never thought his home would be destroyed, he though better of Humans, but his eyes had been opened to the dark truths about life that day. He'd not quite recovered yet from those horrors, his faith in all life hadn't quite come back yet. So he refused Yume's words, and his glare turned bewildered at her suggestion. "Yume." Kakushin practically growled, voice threatening her not to make this decision. "You do this, and I promise you I won't accept him. Whatever cold and cruel fate befalls him in on you. If he dares to go back to his old ways when he's older, I will hold you accountable, and... I won't show him mercy." Not that anything about this situation that included Banto was merciful of the King. He wanted his people safe from a possible threat, a threat that made Kakushin's blood boil to this day. Kakushin felt the strain of being King just then, putting the safety of the majority over this one child. He couldn't try and make everyone get along, or make sure all dangers were avoid whilst also allowing anything into his kingdom. There had to be boundaries, and this was Kakushin setting some of them. Kakushin sighed, one last chance to change her mind. "Yume, he won't have a good life, no matter how hard you try. I might seem like a monster here, but there are more out there, and they have far worse opinions on that boy than me, and I'd hate to think what they might try and do."

Yume wanted to laugh, Kaku really forgot who he was talking to right now. Like hell if she would listen and allow this to happen, to let Kaku get what he wanted. She cared not if he was King, that title lost to her, not caring. Giving a smirk to Kaku, Yume set him a hard gaze alongside it. "You'll have to go through me first. Because King or not, I couldn't give a fucking shit. You try to hurt this boy, and I will make you relive every bad moment you have ever had. Because I could care less if you accept him, because I do, I wont let him go back to his old ways, and I will bloody show you how good this kid can be... That I will promise you." Yume wouldn't be intimidated by Kakushin, nor back down, she wasn't lying about things either, she refused to back down, would refuse to give up even then, and she would show him, show them all. "Yes he will, because he has me and Gensho to help, and I know of others who will accept him. And none will ever get close to toughing my child... Not unless they want to go through me first, or suffer a fate worse then death if they hurt him... Long story short, I promise if my boy here is killed by one of your people... I will finish what he started, and I would love to see you try and stop me. Because you and everyone else seems to forget exactly what I can do..."

Deeds weren't forgiven, evil ones especially. Ru had been fortunate to go from his dark past to becoming King. Whilst he was to blame for a lot of the plans Itami had made, he also wasn't the spear head of her group. He was in the shadows, and therefore anyone who suffered greatly from those times didn't remember him as the one to blame. That unfortunately fell on the poor soul who'd been forced to produce the tragedy of the Pandemic. Still, Kakushin knew Ru blamed himself, it still fell heavily on his shoulders. But he'd recovered and changed. It was easy to forgive oneself of actions, harder to make the world forgive one for them. Kakushin just knew Banto would never escape his past life, others would never forgive him, reborn or not. Yume began again with threats, making Kakushin's hands curl into fists. She never respected him as royalty, any King that wasn't one of her old friends wouldn't tolerate how she spoke to him. But Kakushin endured it, barely. He did glare at Yume as she spoke, and sighed again. "Make whatever promises you want Yume." He answered. And she did make promises, one more that stunned Kaku into silence. Yume vowed to finish what Banto started, she vowed to do such vile things to her own race, should Banto be killed by an Angel. It made Kakushin lose all words, just shake his head slowly. Kakushin smiled, but it was a dead one, it carried no good emotion to it. "An answer so typical of you, Yume. Very well, he's yours to look after. I will make sure he isn't actively hunted down, but I can't guarantee others won't harm him if they see him. If you really intent to put all your chance in this boy and the future he creates for himself, then so be it. I'm the King of Angels, Yume... I may underestimate you, as you so claim, but you also seem to forget that your life, as well as the one tucked into your arm, are my responsibilities, like all Angels. Like it or not, and I know you certainly don't like it." Kakushin replied, dropping any aggression he held to his body, and turning around, hoping he'd never see that boy again.

Yume held the bundle close before giving the retreating figure a smile and shouting out. "Remember Kakushin, I have never been one to throw myself into the affairs of my people... I was welcomed back in when you and Tenshi asked for my help with nightmares... I was thrown back in when this race of ours was destroyed... I worked the battle plans as you went on your merry little rampage, I did more for this race then you did in those times. I knew the cost, know what this child did. But I'm giving him his second chance because he doesn't have to be that this time. And your right I don't like it... I do not serve you, you are not my king, race or not, I will not follow a man who is so willingly ready to murder one for past mistakes, a king so willing to let anger and hatred make his choices, I thought better of you." Yume had little more to say, she would raise this boy to be her own, teach him, train him, raise him to be better, to not make such mistakes again, to prove to Kakushin that Banto was the bigger man and could make himself to be that. "OH, AND KAKU. Warn your people not to come knocking on my door looking for a fight... I mean what I say, I will kill if my boy is harmed by one of yours, is murdered. Warn the others that they pick a fight with him, they pick a fight with me, and I wont hold back." Yume turned and began to fly home, Banto safely tucking in her arms, she didn't know what she would explain to Gensho, nor how he would take it. All she knew was that this baby needed her, and in some ways, she needed him.
