Note: Straight after This thread, Blye is back into his past self's body, fighting Emeri early, and before any of the plans with Exitium or anything has conspired. Blye felt the wave of emotion hit when he went back to his past self. One moment, he was fine, the next, he was sweating, crying, shaking, unable to fathom all of the sudden memories forced into his head. And the phantom pain of what his present self was suffering from. He'd gathered himself from it all, a task in his mind, but thinking on that still killed him inside. He had to kill Emeri, now, before she was stronger, before anyone could be hurt because of Blye. He'd attempted to make it swift, trying to act calm when Emeri joined him up on the top floor, hiding a dagger under his sleeve. She'd come close, still acting as though she cared, but Blye wasn't able to act like he didn't know. She became suspicious, and because of it, was able to move away, so that the sudden attack only cut a shallow gash across her side, nothing more. Then the real fight began, Blye keeping from using his magic yet, mind unable to cope with all the pressure to actually end this so soon. But, he did focus more this time, dodging Emeri's attacks, drawing out his sword, something that had never drawn blood until this day, and fought her back with it. Blye couldn't stretch this out very long, he'd even tried reasoning with Emeri, asking her to stop all this, explaining the future events to her, trying anything to avoid sticking his blade into her heart. But, it was all inevitable, it had been the moment Blye decided to be a fool, all those years ago. So, he finally relied on his magic, slowing down time. Emeri resisted, which made it impossible to stop time completely, but, it made Blye much more faster. This time, he got a good hit on her, would have been fatal, if Emeri wasn't trying her hardest to stop Blye, resisting his magic enough to move herself so the sword drew yet another shallow cut. It was one of many though, now, and Blye could tell the fight was slowly coming to an end, painful as it all was. "Emeri... stop now, this is pointless... you.. you'll only end up dying." Blye pleaded once more, eyes worn with tears.

Emeri knew something wasn't right the second she noticed Blye walk in, though she couldn't place what up until it was almost too late. Emeri moved from the attack, ignoring the spike of pain as he landed a shallow hit, surprised that Blye had it in him before growling and fighting back. She got annoyed with him as she sent strike after strike of her yellow dwarfs and water surges at him, both that he was dodging and not really attacking back how she wished for it to all go down. She knew though, deep down that she must have succeeded once in defeating Blye, otherwise he would not have known her plans, she almost laughed at the irony of him going back in time once more, and wondered who else died because of it. She ignored his pleas to stop, she knew she wouldn't escape this without consequences. But refused to give in and go down without a fight. She knew her efforts were pointless as she felt herself grow heavy, Blye finally using his magic, the time magic within helping her to resist, as she stopped the deadly blow from becoming such, and as she dropped to the ground on her knees, breathing heavily, Emeri gave a laugh and a twisted smile. "Pointless, it makes perfect sense to me... You know my actions for all of this. I know you do... Going back in time again, that the only way you could have known otherwise. I've been dead since the day our clan died, this is just letting my body finally rest." Though she wouldn't let it come to that, as she got ready to open up a vacuum, she didn't know what would happen to her in there when she escaped through it, but she wouldn't allow Blye to take the finishing blow.

Blye saw those flowing looks of green hair and thought of the time he and Emeri first got to meet. Growing up in isolation for part of their lives, until they were the right age. And then the two powerful users were introduced to one another. Blye, this tiny little kid, eyes wide as he watched Emeri walk in with such grace, her hair bright like emeralds. He didn't know he'd loved her until he knew what that even was, but it was the very moment he'd seen her that he'd thought she was beautiful.
The memory only brought him pain now, looking back to that smiling Emeri, the one with dreams like Blye, to the one now. The one bleeding, hate in her eyes, dreams that had become nightmares that she wanted the world to share with her. Blye attempted to wipe away his tears, they'd begun to sting violently, and block his vision even more. Emeri dropped down a level, Blye resisting the urge to help her, the moment he moved close she'd rip him in half, save no room to savour his pain like she'd done in the present day. "I do... But... I won't ask you why anymore, I don't need to. None of this is your fault, it's mine." Blye said. He wouldn't elaborate anymore, he wouldn't make Emeri wait any longer. Every second she lived she was in pain, Blye knew that now, and he was going to rid her of it. A part of him wondered, would his child be put through this pain too? Blye's sword wavered a little. Would Percival even exist after this? Blye swallowed, and dropped his eyes. Honestly, he hoped not, for his son's sake, for a cruel life Blye didn't want him to have to live.
Blye focused himself again, looking up to Emeri, watching that silently, deadly glare in her eyes. He walked slowly closer, "Then... I won't keep you any longer, you deserve peace, to be with our family, I hope you get to find that Emeri." He replied, blade droopy in his grip. But Blye's determination caused it to lift, and with one motion, he went to pierce it right through into Emeri's heart.

Emeri had no more to say to Blye. She knew all she had to say was said in the other time when she succeeded, and that right now his guilt and need to end things before they begun would be all he focused on. Her 'betrayal' heavy in his heart, it was bittersweet really, how this self didn't know the joy of winning against him, but seeing how it affected him and that was enough for now, depending if she lived from here on out. She hoped that one of her trusted henchmen got to Percival before Blye did, knowing they would raise the boy to what they needed, but in all she hoped he grew up being taught right, and not alone stuck with a man who would use him as 'his last link' to her. Smirking towards Blye as the blade struck forward, Emeri twisted her hand and felt blackness succumb over he body, felt herself become weightless as mind stretched in the vacuum, body being sucked it. It felt like seconds, but she knew as she fell out, surprised she even lived to find her body old and frail, stuck just a few days from when she first went in. So this was her punishment, to live old, to put up with the pain but unable to fight anymore. Emeri gave a laugh, she would live with this, hide and watch her son grow, make sure from a distance he was being taught what was needed, make sure that Blye never got his hands on him.

The blade was true to it's course. Despite how Blye's mind was in so much pain, he didn't falter. But it never struck, there was a smirk on Emeri's face, and then a scream of magic as she was pulled into one of her spells. It almost dragged Blye with it, or at least his sword, but he pulled back, hand up to cover his eyes. When things had calmed down, there was nothing before him, and Blye winced. Emeri, she didn't want to die by his hand. But, that magic she used was dangerous, and in her condition, he was certain there was no was she'd lived through it. The tears dropped again then, sword clattering to the ground. It was over, and now in this silence, Blye felt truly alone. The world around him was calm, people in the streets went about their daily lives, smiling, enjoying the fresh air. Whilst Blye suffocated on one that smelled of blood, of tears, and of her. He quietly sobbed to himself, finding a wall to drop down against. Slowly, Blye looked to his own form, finding it begin to waver, to drop out of focus. His magic was drawing him back, to leave his past self be, and return to the one in the present. He closed his eyes, body drifting into sleep, whilst his mind was sucked out of it. Blye felt himself drop like a stone, and all of a sudden he wasn't breathing in the stuffy air of that room, but instead he was breathing in gallons of boiling water. Blye came to somewhat consciousness in his present body, lurching as the pain hit him once more with force. His burning body, the choking of blood and water down his throat, the confusion on how this was still happening to him. Blye was always going to be an anomaly. He could change the past all he wanted, but his present self wouldn't change. So here he was, drowning in the sea between Baransu and Minato, bleeding out to injuries he'd obtained from someone that only truly existed in his mind now, and perhaps he'd get to meet her soon.

Nick hadn't been worried when Blye disappeared, Nick hadn't even been worried when they didn't hear from him for a couple of days, knowing that Blye had a magic which left him open for said disappearances, or so forth a reason to go missing. But to not hear from him for who knows how long, like he never existed, left no trace of him besides memories and the search for the missing king... That's when Nick worried, when Nick barely slept of ate in fear on what exactly happened, because with Emeri missing as well, Nick could only guess what may have happened. And later clearing his head by the lake under the castle, and seeing said missing king drowning in the lake like he had been there for years, like it wasn't all very sudden and in the blink of an eye. Nick didn't even hesitate to jump in after him, dragging Blye to the shore and begin to make sure the other could breath, for once his reasons all pure and to help, as he shouted to him. "God damn it Blye, disappear without a trace and turn up drowning, what are we going to do with you?" Lifting the battered and beaten king up so he was supporting the others weight, Nick began to walk to where he could find help, mindless muttering to Blye in a small attempt to keep him with him for now. "Come on Blye, you still need an ass whooping for doing this to us, not to mention the paperwork needed filling out because you know damn well I wasn't going to do it..."

The choking didn't last for long, thankfully. Because sucking in water and spilling up blood wasn't in the least bit pleasant, and as even his one good eye burnt from the boiling water, Blye just watched his sight fade to nothing. The pain remained, it wouldn't go away. This was what she felt, Blye had to remind himself as his body tensed up, and he stopped struggling, or doing anything at all. Blye had been dead for about two minutes from the water in his lungs, and the exhaustion of his mind. But, like a punch to his fragile stomach, breath was forced back into the King, and he shuddered a breath, coughing and hacking again to get out any water from down his throat. All of a sudden he could see. Everything was a blur, with one damaged eye and no glasses, but Blye could see light that wasn't the thing before death. He breathed for a long while, small dribble of blood at the corners of his mouth, around a face that was red, burnt and bleeding badly. And despite how much Blye looked like death, he wasn't part of it. He heard someone's voice, Nick's, and coughed in the place of a slight smile or scoff. "Y... yo... s...should... l... le...t.. d..die." Blye managed to croak out, his throat must look like rough bark on the inside, his voice was so raw and bloodied it came out with so much pain. With a gasp of pain, and hissing, Blye felt himself lifted up suddenly, feet stumbling and dragging across the ground. His feet wobbled, barely any power to actually move them. Nick did most of the work, Blye was just making it harder really. Especially that, after getting one foot to almost walk, he realised that... no matter how hard Blye tried, his right leg wouldn't move at all, it was just a dead weight now being dragged. "Sh....she's..de..dead." Blye mumbled into Nick's ear between the hisses of pain being barely contained. "Em.... oh.... Em.." Blye suddenly muttered, words almost wailed, as across his burnt features, there were tears as well. Lasting just before Blye's vision faded again, and his body tensed up once more, becoming one complete dead weight now on his friend's side.

Nick gave a scoff as he held onto Blye. "Not letting you die. Who else am I meant to flirt with during working hours? Its not the same doing so to the guards." Nick was a joker, and in this situation especially, it was the only thing to keep him calm as he dragged his best friend away from his death spot after so long of being missing. It was difficult work, Blye being heavy and in pain, not able to walk himself... Nick was strong though, and wouldn't give up, it was just hard to walk quickly without moving the body on his back, which made him wince with every breathless moan of pain. The news of Emeri being dead didn't surprise Nick, nor did he really like the woman anyways, but for her to disappear with no trace of a body, did leave him in suspicion as to if she was really dead, but he trusted Blye, and it became clear to him now what exactly had happened. He only hoped Blye would get over the trauma of the only one knowing the truth of the reality of what their future could have been, having lived it, and changing it. But he wouldn't let Blye suffer alone, nor would he let him die or wallow in guilt, not right now. "Come on you lug, your like two hundred thousand pounds of weight right now, I don't need tears in my ear, unless their happy tears or those gained from other activities. Seriously, I thought you knew I was a weak little baby, I demand a week of work for this... A holiday up in Shiro annoying the other kings. I can see it now... How they will be crying for joy having me around twenty four seven for seven days..."

Blye did want to die, and at this point, giving up would be very easy to do. But, Nick had a point. Or rather, Nick was the point. The point of keeping on living, him and many others. Because Blye could die, but there were many others waiting on him to live. They'd waited long for a king, and Blye couldn't just leave them all forever. The world would fall into another period of chaos if that were to happen. So Blye sucked in as many breaths as he could, tried to make his mind focus on what was going on. He tried not to wince or cry, but it was impossible being this burnt, deep down into his body. But Blye did try to walk, and after struggling and causing Nick more grief than good, eventually Blye could drag his foot forwards, even getting the right leg to at least move as a whole, albeit stiff, limb. But they walked, to the closest place Nick could think of to let Blye rest and assess the damage. Blye enjoyed hearing Nick's voice, his friends voice was always welcome, even when he was being a flirt or whispering into Blye's ear, even adding tongue from time to time. It kept Blye awake enough, but he couldn't really talk back, only respond with grunts or mumbles of noise. His body needed time to heal, and his mind, and heart, would need years to sew back together. But people like Nick held the needle and thread to stitching up that heart, so despite his current state, Blye had a little bit of hope for the future.
