Note: Another Prince thread, therefore based 18 years after the events with Emeri's rule.
"Why'd you let that little shit come in?" Growled the young man behind the counter, glaring into Percy's side as the boy sat slumped over the bar, drinking a small glass offered to him. He gave the young man a little glance, before silently returning to his drunken thoughts. "Because I pitied him, alright? You know how Peter and his friends treated him yesterday, old man wouldn't stop boasting about it." Came the voice of an older woman. Percy knew them well, considering he knew exactly who they were, living their pasts already. The young man was called Angus, and the older lady, with brown and grey hair tied into a bun, was Delilah, his widowed mother. Peter was the one who owned this bar, The Far Horizon. But he lacked the skill in actually owning an establishment, which gave Delilah a free reign over the place, and only a few more years until she bought it off the old man herself. She'd seen Percy outside, looking glum and tired, so offered him a small drink on the house, well aware that he didn't have one drop of coin to give.
He did enjoy her kindness, almost as much as the small glass of liquor. Could have done without Angus and his glaring, but Percy was used to that from a lot of people. He swallowed down the last of his free drink, sighing heavily as it didn't quite get him drunk enough to calm the mind flares. He held his head in his hand, groaning slightly in annoyance. "What's your deal then, kid?" Delilah suddenly asked, Percy lifting his head to her leaning over the bar just near him, a look of concern and a little irritation at the lack of improvement to his glum face. "Oh my wife left me alone with children to feed and... no... no that's not mine.." Percy frowned, trying again, "There was a leak in the roof, I thought it was just a small one but then the whole roof came in and... and again, not mine... Was... was it the one with my missing sister? No..." Percy shook his head, hissing at the spike of pain. A few bar patrons had stopped to frown at the boy blabbering on, but Delilah just sighed loudly. "You got a family, or you one of those street urchins?" She asked. Percy blinked, able to focus a little more on this question. "Me? No no, I have a family... um, two parents, though, I think it's obvious that we don't really make money." Delilah chuckled, then looked at Percy sideways, a smile creeping on her face. "How about you work here then, for me?" Both Percival and the young Angus were about to retort, when Delilah cleared her throat loudly, "We're getting a lot more business now, and I don't think the two of us here can cut it alone, if I'm honest. I'd hire any of these chumps drinking our ale, but you lad, you look young and able, if a little sore about life."
So after a little sobering up, when the afternoon was turning into evening, Delilah practically dragged Percival round the bar to show him the ropes, very eager to give a job to this lowlife kid. It was an odd sudden event, but it didn't mean Percy wasn't grateful. He needed work, to be honest to himself, anything other than drinking or getting beaten up to keep his days occupied, plus it got him money he could spend on the good stuff. He got to grips with some simple tasks, mostly just cleaning, and before even Percy was fully aware, Delilah left him to his chores, and the boy was left to work.

Note: For those wondering as it has yet to be addressed, Nanari died at the end of plot 5 from a disease that she knew was taking her life. And was made almost instantly into an Angel for everything she has done, and when she was reborn, Nanari found herself being adopted into a most powerful Angel family. You will find out in separate thread later on though about who it is. She's about 17/18 now, very much the same as her human self, but more adventurous and free spirited this time around.
Nanari loved the hustle and bustle of the life down below of Aura, and her parents never tried stopping her from travelling over and helping out those who needed it just like her human life. Though they didn't always love that she was a little more adventurous this time around with how she was, no longer with the memories of her human life, they accepted it as she never did any wrong, or abuse that. Like now for example, visiting Baransu and walking into bar, one in which she was familiar with the owners and regulars. She never ordered much besides something to eat and a wine, but she still came in here often enough to be known for it. Though this time around she didn't recognise the boy working, and gave him a small smile before sitting at her usual spot near Angus. "Hey there Angus. Who's Delilah hired now to help out? He seems kind of familiar..." Nanari wasn't sure if it was the hair or the face, but something told her she knew him... Perhaps she would need to ask Sky or Blye for more information later on, if she couldn't get it from the other herself. Waving him over, after finishing with Angus, Nanari gave him another smile before holding her hand out for him to shake. "I'm Nanari, you could say I'm a regular here. Delilah's really nice, so working here should be a breeze. Oh, yeahh, when your free mind letting whoever is on cooking that Nanari would like her regular, they'll know what it is. Oh, and if your the one serving drinks tonight... There's a bottle somewhere behind the bar... A red sparkling wine with berries and lotus flower juice, its labelled, just a large glass... I'm sorry, your new, it may be a little much to remember... Just take your time, I'm in no rush, and say if you want any help, I been around enough to know what I'm doing."
Extra Note: Nanari's regular is some form of pie, be it the house special or something, she's never picky about it.

Percy was happy to just spend this... shift, he supposed, just staring at the wall, cleaning glasses or plates. Because as more people came in, there was the likelihood of him meeting someone new, someone who's past he didn't know yet. He'd only visited the Far Horizon a few times, the first to drink, the second to be kicked out, then the third to be beaten up for daring to come close. He'd seen a few people in those few times, though not many. And it was almost fact that the pasts of those who drowned themselves in pubs were the harshest, and most painful ones. So he continued to look at nothing, until Angus cleared his throat from behind. "Oi, someone wants to meet you." He grunted, making Percy frown a little, turning to look for who he meant. He regretting look around, in those few seconds, he'd gathered a few more memories for the pile, as well as the one smiling over to him. She was an Angel, her past stretched far into her Human life. But... it wasn't painful, Percy didn't wince when looking at it, but feel a little warmed but it all. The kind natured Human this Angel once was, it was one of the first Percy had witnessed that didn't make his mind coil in pain. Naturally, he was intrigued to meet her, although a little nervous as he shuffled around the bar. He wiped a hand on the little apron Delilah had dragged out for him, not knowing what to really do until the girl offered her hand. Percy listened a little, before shaking it. She said a lot, making Percy's brow rise more and more, until he was finally allowed to actually absorb the new information. Nanari, a regular, wants red wine and her usual from the cook. Now for a moment, Percival didn't really know what to do, having worked at this establishment for about ten minutes, but he also felt a wave of something else. A need to impress, perhaps something deep down in his blood.
So, with a second of silence, Percy put his hand behind his back, revealing it with the bottle held tight and a glass already on Nanari's table. "Thank you, I learn quickly, and some could say I've got a great memory. But... um, here is your drink.." Percy paused before pouring, honestly unsure how to properly do so, considering he'd only ever drunk wine straight from the bottle, so after a little hesitation, he decided to just lift the glass and pour it in that way, only spilling a little down the side. He cleared his throat, "There, and the cook has been send a note of what you wanted." Percy added, a little smile on his face, nonchalant about all the actions he'd done that, to everyone else, had been done in less than a second. He could use his magic sometimes, if pressure was put on him, or if the secret Prince felt a need to please.

Nanari blinked before a glass and her wine was being poured for her, it always was amazing seeing ones magic, and this was one she had yet to come across, so it was intriguing what he could do. Giving a little chuckle as he poured her drink, Nanari rested a hand on his and gave a smile. "Probably should have helped, normally you pour the wind into a measuring cylinder first and then pour it into the glass..." Nanari leaned over the bar quickly to grab one of the metal cylinders. "Like this one, this is for medium drinks, the larger for large and obviously smaller one for small. But don't feel down hearted, I can now tell you haven't been shown this... So its learning for next time." Putting down the cylinder and picking up the glass, taking a small sip, Nanari smiled at the flavour. It was one that Delilah got in just for her, after it didn't sell with most others, and was only on the self for a couple of days, but it was the reason why Nanari kept returning, and in the end, she just ordered in a special bottle each time. "But thank you all the same, this right here is the whole reason I come in here. And the pies, they are just to die for sometimes... The apple and cinnamon... Truly the best. Delilah's own recipe, I'll let you have a try when its ready." Now that the initial moment was over of them meeting, Nanari took the time to really look at the kid, and she gave a sad smile knowing how often he must have been beaten to get this many scars. "I never caught your name... And if you don't mind me asking, how did you get so many cuts and bruises? Because I may be able to heal them over for you, if I know the cause of them..."

Percy felt a flush of red hit his cheeks after realising how far he'd gone just to impress this young lady. It was very unlike him really, to care so much about making a good impression, and the thought of which embarrassed him a little. However, Nanari didn't seem to mind, she enjoyed it, and offered Percy some advice on his pouring skills. Oh so it wasn't some special skill, there were cylinders to do the pouring for him. Percy chuckled a little, nodding his head, "Yeah, I've worked here about ten minutes, so this is all just me... uh, trying to make a good first impression, I guess." Percy replied, smiling awkwardly. Yeah, a good first impression. This was the best one Nanari was going to get, somewhat sober Percy working in a bar, not drunk and beaten Percy sipping on drain water slumped in the corner of an alleyway.
He was curious about the wine, because of course Percival would try it, but he resisted, slyly taking a sniff of the flavoured scent from the bottle before resealing it. Fruity, and sweet, and the smell only made him all the more curious. But, he'd resist, for now, at least whilst he was trying to work here, earn some money before they inevitably gave up on him. "Apple and Cinnamon, yes, the first time you tried it you could have almost compared it to your father's cooking, if you dared to think like that... I'd like to try it..., if... if that would be alright." Gosh Percy wasn't used to asking for things, just simply taking them. He worried about it so much he'd skimmed over the fact that he'd just spoken about Nanari's past like some crazed gypsy fortune teller.
Percy glanced down at the scars on his hands, and the dots of bruises probably visible on his face as well. "It's Percy... Um, Percival. And I get them from being stupid, from trying to fit in poorly." Percy replied, expression dropped for a moment, before it returned as a sort of sad smile, "I know you could heal them, you have a wonderful impulse to help anyone you see injured... but, you shouldn't worry too much." Percy sighed then, "Odds are, I'll get them again before I make it home tonight anyway." He added, with a bitter chuckle. "I'm sorry, I don't mean to drag down the mood." He said afterwards.

Nanari gave a little blush as she laughed after hearing how long her had been working here, and already she had asked him to make such a big order. He probably hadn't even been shown behind the bar yet, but it had cheered her up, and Nanari was most certainly impressed. "Consider the first impression good. I mean, you handled my blabbering pretty well and even Angus when I first met him was too iffy about it." Which was true, and Nanari had found she didn't mind talking to the new kid, and hoped he stuck around, it was nice to talk to someone around her age, or so she guessed, she didn't make a lot of friends who weren't looking to meet her parents. Watching as he sniffed the wine, before holding out her glass. "Here, have a try, see if maybe I will have someone to share this with me, not many people are a fan." Which again was true, hence why so few bottles were ever in the place at once anymore. Reeling back a little at him knowing her past, Nanari took a few moments before giving a smile, she had been around long enough to know the kind of power he had. "Huh, magic just like Blye and Sky." It was refreshing to see, though she knew of the burdens that came with such a magic, and the issues it can cause. "Oh, of course thought, all must try Delilah's pies."
Giving a smile to Percy... The name fit, Nanari turned over his hands and inspected them, before looking up and giving him a smile. "Fitting in is over rated, especially if it means getting beat up because of it. You need to embrace who you are, and don't care about what the others believe." Giving a broken chuckle at his words about knowing her healing, Nanari held a hand to his cheek before pouring her magic into it and healing the scars and bruises anyways. Before his words settles in, as did his scar less face. "No wonder your so familiar. Those eyes, the hair colour. Your knack for knowing ones past... You have such a magnificent power like your parents, of course Emeri never used hers for good, and tried to kill your father... But Blye, oh how he has helped so many, he would be in tears to know his son is alive... Then again, if he has yet to know, I'm assuming you don't want to be found, or you didn't know, or its complicated. So no worries if you did, your secret is safe with me..." It made sense really, knowing the magic in which the old king and queen had, for it to be passed down to Percy, and considering his abduction all those years ago, he must have been brought up by those who took him, and Nanari could only guess how that went.

Well he'd working here as himself for a few minutes, in his mind, Percy had been working a lot longer, seeing this kind of job from Delilah's past, and Angus' as well. It was easy to pick it up himself after that. Percy shrugged again, "Angus would be iffy." He grumbled, before looking around quickly for the other youth, relieved to find him practically passed out against a wall, trying to keep himself from sleeping, snorting awake whenever Delilah went by and smacked him around the head with a cloth. Percy let a smile creep onto his face, "You do blabber a lot, by the way, it's almost impressive." Percy commented, lightening the mood just before he'd drop it down again. Percy tried not to stare desperately at the drink she offered, or look taken back by the offer to have a sip. He also glanced around again, thankfully seeing that Delilah had disappeared round the back, to notice him drinking again, knowing Percy the way Nanari had yet to discover. Once he was sure he was clear, Percy shuffled closer to the table, taking the drink carefully, and for the first time in his life taking just a sip. And his tongue immediately tasted just how sweet it was. The fizz and the fruity flavour almost burnt, but... once swallowed, it left a nice after taste. Percy clicked his tongue, putting down the glass and nodding with approval. "I can see why this is your favourite." He replied with a smile, trying to stop himself looking back to the glass. It was tempting, to just pause time, and take it, Nanari wouldn't even have to know it was him, he could go back too, go back so that she didn't even know him. But... he couldn't, he'd promised himself and his parents to at least try to be better. He was distracted with fighting his own morality to pay much attention when Nanari commented on how his magic was similar to another's, and only hummed about the pies.
Percy smiled, trying not to make it look like a pitiful one. This poor innocent girl, taking Percy's excuse seriously. Embracing who he was wouldn't do anyone any favours. And he couldn't do such a thing when he fought a battle in his mind every day just to remember who Percival even was, and not get memories muddled up with someone else's. "And... what do you believe?" Percy asked, not looking for an answer, since he barely muttered the words to Nanari. He flinched to the touch, and the warm sensation sent through him, it was like a warmth Percy hardly ever felt. Comfort, and more importantly, peace. For that one moment as Nanari healed him, Percy's mind calmed down, but it came back roaring in protest once the healing stopped. But that one moment was enough to make Percy freeze, his aches and pains gone now, other than in his head.
But the comfort washed away when Nanari started her blabbering again, putting together pieces of a puzzle, figuring out who Percival was. And he felt a bit of sweat drip down his head, glancing nervously around to see if anyone was listening in. How Nanari put it all, made Percy want to get angry, or walk away, she said things in a way far different to how Percy had grown up to see them. But, he wasn't as temperamental when he was sober, and so didn't express too much uncomfort. "It's complicated." Percy replied quickly, just slapping some tension between them with a momentary glare at Nanari to not push to far into this. "And I trust you with it, so long as you keep it secret from yourself as well." Percy replied, glare replaced with a smile. And, he would say something else, if Delilah hadn't come barging over, holding a plate perfectly balanced in her busy hands. "Evening Nanari dear! Keeping the new boy busy, eh? He's a bit of a timid street mouse, but I'll get him into shape in no time." Delilah commented, placing down the pie Nanari ordered, giving Percy a glance. "Anything else you want, just tell little Percy here, alright?"
Percy watched silently as Delilah left. She'd hung around long enough for the tension Percy felt towards Nanari, now someone he saw as a slight threat to things, rather than a warming face full of smiles and no painful memories, to grow thicker. And after clearing his throat quietly, Percy went to turn around. "I should... get back to work." He replied simply, "Thanks for this," He gestured to his scar-free face and arms, "And... enjoy your meal."

Nanari blushed as he agreed with her blubbering, it was something she was trying to improve and stop, but it was proving difficult, something she has been told picked up from her human life, she didn't hate it, but she knew others did, and that's something she didn't actually want... A reason for people to hate or dislike her. Smirking as he tried the drink, Nanari gave him a light-hearted glare and a chuckle. "Well this drink is specifically ordered in for me, so try to not finish the bottle if you try to get your paws on it alright?" She wouldn't hate him if he did, but she wouldn't let him forget it, and would expect a replacement, even if she didn't get it from him in the end. Nanari almost missed the mumbled question, but she didn't, and giving him a warm smile, Nanari gave him the answer it probably wasn't expecting. "I believe that everyone has their story, that none can fit in and yet so can everyone. There's no right or wrong to how it happens, as long as your here, in whichever way or form, you fit into the world, and if you don't believe that, well, your just taking a piece of the puzzle away that makes up everyone." It was a multiverse subject, but one Nanari had perfected with Sky during their researches around the library.
Nanari felt bad when she saw how taken back Percy was at the mention on who he was, who he was related to, and she wished she said nothing. But it was clear things were more complicated then anyone thought and all she wanted to do was understand and help. She wasn't lying when she said she would say nothing if he didn't want, she wasn't one to do something like that as it was not her place to do so. But the sudden drop in atmosphere made her upset, though she put on a face as Delilah turned up. Giving the woman a forced but kind smile, Nanari nodded her head. "Thank you Delilah, and he's pleasant company, I'm sure he'll be great, already picking up on things. And I will do, thank you again." Watching as Delilah left, Nanari was about to speak again before Percy picked up where he left of and tried to make a break for it. Standing up and quickly rushing over to him so she was standing right in front of him, Nanari gave him an apologetic smile. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to make you so weary of me because I found that out. I really will keep it a secret, its not my place to tell... I promise. You don't need to fear me or what I know. My only worry is that Blye or Sky will find out, as they have memory based powers, or time magic, but I'll do my best, no lies about things... Oh and honestly, if I found that out, so may others, the hair, the eyes and those who know Blye, even your name... Just be careful, if your planning to keep it a secret from everyone, don't trust if people pry into it. I mean, I don't want to scare you or anything, just letting you know to be cautious about what you tell people, or do, I'm blabbering again aren't I? I'm sorry. Again."

Oh how Nanari didn't know who she was really meeting here. Joking about not finishing a bottle, Percy laughed for her sake, but inside his stomach turned, and he thought with self-hatred that if he ever did get his hands on that wine, he'd drink it all, without any control. Fitting in, according to Nanari, Percy already fit in with the world, he had his story. The genre of that story must be some sort of tragedy though, he thought bitterly. But, it was a nice concept Nanari had come up with, and she'd thought of it with another, when researching the world with a friend.
She had a lot of nice concepts, but Percy couldn't believe any of them, he knew far too much about these worlds to believe so. So many pasts, so much suffering, pain, loss, Percy saw them all. He watched Delilah return around the bar, going to Angus and seemingly telling the boy to go home and sleep, if he really couldn't work anymore. Percy went to go towards her, asking for a job, but Nanari stopped him, and his bi-coloured eyes set on hers reluctantly. But, as nice as she was, apologising for knowing, it didn't help to settle his mood. His eyes dropped, and Percy sighed heavily. "I have no one. Just my parents, because I have to hide, I have to avoid people... I.. I don't even know how to talk to someone like you because of how little talking I've done in my life. I don't want to be found... but I also don't want to hide... it's... it's complicated." He explained, sidestepping to walk around her, after all, he really did need to go and work at some point. "I don't fear you, Nanari, nor do I blame you for finding out, I fear for something far worse than being found out." He added, giving Nanari a small smile, though it was a warm one, perhaps cutting through some of that tension, before returning to the bar, not stopping this time.
