Note: Probably half a year since end of the war. Shiro is completely rebuilt, if a bit empty. I'd expect Sky would be trying her hardest to calm Havok down, whilst he positions himself in a corner somewhere.
So much was going on, even though the halls of Shiro was so quiet and at peace. They weren't entirely empty, now filled with able workers from the Human race, who wanted to work in the Angelic castle. Kakushin felt a little unease at allowing Humans to live and work in his home, but it soon ended. They worked well, and watching them all work made the King believe all they really wanted were jobs, and to help Angels seemed to be their way of apologising for the tragedy years ago. Kakushin was happy with the help, and Hane were certainly looking a little more filled with purpose now that he could boss others around once more. But as things began to settle, Blye came up with news. A very sudden change for the Human and his Royal linage, with the young King announcing with a lot of worry how Emeri was expecting his child. Kakushin had felt his heart sink at the idea of knowing his perfect match with Nick and Blye wouldn't happen, but childish thoughts aside, the older King offered Blye whatever help he or Emeri would need.
The news was good, in Kaku's opinion, and kept him in high spirits, that was until today. The morning was nothing new, the golden sun coloured the clouds, and the Castle bustled with workers going around preparing things for those living here currently. But then there was a crash of plates, and a scream coming from one side of the courtyard. The King had rushed over to see two workers supporting an elderly woman, who clutched her arm whilst trembling. Kakushin asked them what happened, and their recount of the event made the Angel's eyes drop. They claimed a boy, blonde hair, suddenly turned violent and feral, attacking the woman and biting her arm, before running off to another part of the castle. Kakushin sighed heavily. The bad thing was, that Kakushin was almost expecting this to happen eventually. But now, with Havok being here so long, Kakushin was beginning to hope his prediction would never happen. Making sure the woman was cared for, Kakushin pressed on, following a trail of blood to a corner of the castle. He looked up, to spot Sky first, and offered his daughter a soft smile, saying nothing yet.

Sky had listened to Blye all those months ago, and wasn't acting as hostile to her Papa, but that didn't mean when Havok was around him she trusted him yet, and she was wary for her friend, but she wasn't being horrible any other time, and was slowly fixing the bond as she knew he was. But today she was with Havok, around the courtyard with a little training of fighting, because while the war had been over, Sky still didn't trust Emeri, and she felt something to come around the corner. Though, that something seemed closer then she thought when Havok blinked and was gone, a shatter and a scream moments later as she watched her friend bite into one of the helpers arms before running. Shouting a sorry to her, knowing something must of happened to set Havok off, Sky chased after him into one of the secluded parts of the castle, and into the corner. Sky noticed her Papa and gave a look to him 'don't you dare do anything to harm him' before turning back to Havok, glad art wasn't around right now to witness this. "Hey, Havok? You okay? What happened brother? Its okay, your still here, come out of that head space will you, just listen to me." Sky was slowly moving closer as to not scare him, she wasn't afraid herself, but she didn't want anything to happen in case he wasn't himself.

Kakushin could tell his daughter was trying to not keep him at bay. She'd been trying over the last few months to talk to Kaku as her Papa again, and he really was grateful. But there was still damage, a hostility that Kakushin didn't know if he'd be able to fix. But he'd try. He just wanted to see Sky truly smile to him again, that was all. Kakushin's eyes watched Sky fret, glaring towards the King before trying to help Havok. And the boy, he'd forced himself into a corner, sharpened teeth clenched so tight they might crack, whilst scratching against the stone work, as if trying to dig into the walls to escape. He was fearful, fearful of turning at any moment and hurting Sky. Kakushin felt sorry for him. Clear there was something wrong in Havok's head, he never understood things well. So suddenly falling savage, attacking someone against his own will, and now being so hungry it hurt, must really terrify him. Watching him now, reminded Kakushin of Ikiru, locked up in a prison, drained of tears because he didn't know if he should try to hold onto his sanity, or give up to feast, and get rid of the nawing pain taking him over. As Sky called to him, Havok began a low growl, wincing in pain as he tried hopelessly to back away. "N... no.. help.. Hunger.. h... it hurts." He mumbled. Kakushin at this point had stepped closer, placing a hand on Sky's shoulder, stopping her from moving forward. Havok's eyes darted from Sky to the King, but Kakushin made sure he looked calm, smiling softly. "What's your name?" Kakushin asked politely. Havok didn't respond at first, startled like... well like an animal trapped in a corner. Kakushin repeated the question a few more times. Finally Havok seemed to click, "H... Havok." The boy muttered. "And... who is this?" Kakushin asked, gesturing to Sky. Havok blinked a little, breathing rapidly as he looked to Sky, before calming for a second just to answer, "Sky." "Is Sky your friend?" "Ye...yes! F...friend. I... I.." "You'd never hurt Sky." "Never... never hurt." Havok replied in rapid succession. Kakushin was satisfied that it was working, the moment Havok's body seemed to relax, his legs dropping as he didn't force himself back against the wall anymore. But, the moment Havok calmed down enough to realise what was happening, his eyes filled with tears, the boy spluttering in utter confusion. Kakushin winced watching it, before lowering his head to Sky's level. "Go over to him... slowly though." Kakushin whispered, letting his daughter handle the rest.

Sky stopped short as her Papa put a hand on her shoulder, and everything screamed at her to shrug it off and go to Havok, but she knew this may be the only time she can trust her father to help Havok, and trust him to do just that, so she held her breath as Papa spoke, asking questions while she stopped herself from moving. Sky watched Havok, giving him a small smile as he got the questions right and seemed to calm, letting herself follow that lead to the point where she shrugged her Papa's hand off her shoulder, trusting him to help without her interference. And when Kaku gave permission for her to go over slowly, Sky gave him a quick hug, smiling into it. "Thanks Papa..." Sky knew Kaku would understand the meaning behind those words, that she would trust him more with Havok now, and while it wont be complete just yet, she'll stop watching his every move when she's around. Slowly walking over to her brother, to Havok, Sky held out her hand, brushing it over his cheek, hesitating a second just in case it startled Havok too much, before throwing him into a hug, Sky shaking. "Its okay, Shh, its okay Havok. You didn't mean it, we'll work out what's happening, okay? Everything will be just fine." Sky brought him in close, crying into his shoulder, before speaking to her Papa again. "You'll help right Papa? Please?"

Kakushin was relieved that it worked. He wasn't an expert, but one way to calm a Kyuban that still held back was to ask them questions. Questions about the thing that means the most to them. For Ikiru, that had been his freakishly long name. Havok was tricky, the King had spent very little time with the boy, mostly his own fault, and so could only assume. He assumed that Havok cared the most for Sky and Art, and was honestly warmed to see it work. But what made Kaku a little worried still was how damaged Havok was. He was sobbing right now because he couldn't understand his own emotions or changes, it wasn't healthy, or safe. At least a normal Kyuban could comprehend what they were, or what was going on when they turned savage and hungry. Havok had no idea. Kakushin gave a little smile as Sky turned to hug him first, patting a hand on his daughter's back. He gave he nod afterwards, remaining crouched as she stepped over to Havok. As predicted, the Kyuban didn't make any moves against Sky, only flinching at the touch, before melting into the hug, wailing away into her shoulder whilst shaking uncontrollably. It would probably take a long session to calm Havok down to his usual self, but at least he wasn't shying away from comforts now. Kakushin watched Sky specifically, watching how brave his little girl was, compassionate enough to hide her tears for Havok's sake. Kakushin replied almost immediately, "Of course I will. I'll make sure everyone knows there's no danger. We'll... we'll just have to keep Havok extra close now, whilst looking for a cure." Kakushin said quietly, slowly sitting down. "Ster.... M... monster... I am... bad." Came a muffled voice from Havok, which made Kakushin smile sympathetically, perhaps giving Sky a clue on how Kakushin honestly felt. He didn't hate Havok, or not trust him. He just didn't trust the Kyuban that lived in Havok, and wanted it out of the sweet natured boy.

Sky really was grateful to her Papa for being here and helping, knowing she didn't have to be the strongest here in terms of emotions, because seeing her friend so downhearted and upset not knowing what was going on was the worst, and she wanted nothing more to break down herself, but she had to be strong, but she was glad to have the leeway. Smiling over to her Papa for agreeing to help, Sky brought Havok in closer, kissing the top of his head as he called himself a monster. Havok wasn't a monster, she knew that, but she knew there was one hidden within, probably why her Papa was so wary of Havok... But the one she was hugging now was no monster. "No, Havok, your not bad, your no monster. The monster is the Kyuban inside you, but Havok is a fighter, he holds back and runs from it, making him good and pure and kind, how can such a man be a monster?" Sky didn't use her usual way of speech right now, instead keeping it simple as to allow Havok to understand better until they found a cure and she could properly talk to him about this, to get rid of his terribly thoughts he had been hiding. "As Papa said though, we'll just keep you extra close, and make sure people know its not Havok being mean, its the Kyuban. Okay?"

Kakushin would certainly research into this. Because there must be a reason why Havok was so docile most of the time. Ikiru had his staff, Gensho was only a half-blooded one. Kaku didn't know what made Havok the way he was. Perhaps the same thing that had muddled up his mind. Kakushin thought for a moment, if Havok really was getting worse, what kind of monster he'd become. For a moment, the King pictured Ikiru, the state his brother was in as he was found dead. Kakushin winced, shaking the image away. He couldn't let that happen to Havok, for the kid's sake, and his children's. Kaku took a deep breath, returning to watching the pair. Havok sniffled loudly, "R... run is hard. Hunger hurting... m.. makes it hard." He replied, slowly recovering his speech, even though it was never truly normal for the poor guy. Gradually Havok's arms relaxed down, the rise and fall of his chest calming down, too emotionally exhausted now to really do much. "Okay." He mumbled. Kakushin had waited until both stopped, to smile to Sky when she glanced his way. "Do you know who made Havok this way in the first place? Obviously someone did something to make him docile to begin with... perhaps they can do it again."

The second her Papa mentioned they may be able to convince the first person to help Havok out to do so again, Sky gave a cry and bundled into Havok, tears pouring down her face and hands clutching the back of her neck as she shook. Some memories she wishes she didn't have, which she could forget, and meeting Vadium was most certainly one of them. Sky knew this behaviour would bring up questions, ones she wishes she didn't have to answer, as she hoped to take this to her grave, but it was bound to happen, and after ten excruciating minuets of Sky shaking in fear of the man, she finally calmed down enough to explain, as she brought her Papa in close to hug him too while she did so, not knowing if she could do so without it. "Vadium... He'll want something in return... He always wants something in return... And Erm, he likes to take peoples blood, he can create more of it, just like that... He also likes experimenting on people, taking organs and things... He's a bad man Papa... I fear for what he will want in return... He was the best friend of Banto as far as I could tell, but more like a boss of him." Sky had met him one of the days in the Saints, Banto having asked him to come down, unknowingly, as she mouthed off too much and needed 'punishing' as Banto explained. But Vadium's methods were more terrifying and for his own gain. Sky doesn't know what he did to this day still, all she remembers is watching him take her blood, as well as another vials and making more of it, before she blanked out and woke up with a burn in her body and a scar on the back of her neck... She has feared him ever since... His voice, his words, how he acts, fuelling nightmares for weeks after, and she no one to turn to, Banto threatening to kill Art if she did... And when they were freed, she hoped to forget about it, in case he ever came back and followed through his threat. She explained all this to Havok and to Papa, so that he knew what he would be getting into by trying to convince him, and Havok in case her friend didn't want to go back to that man either., and by the end of her explaining, Sky was exhausted from tears, and throat clogged up for telling anymore.

Kakushin couldn't take back his question, he hadn't known the truth when asking it. But it made his daughter break down into tears, that even confused Havok, and made the King's expression turned worried. He'd gotten up during her outburst to hug Sky back, parental instinct just telling Kaku that she needed one. Havok, after a few seconds of just watching it, glancing to Kakushin then to Sky, also moved closer, less to embrace Sky and more to just be close. Kakushin didn't know this Vadium character, until Sky mentioned he was Banto's friend. The one Banto needed blood for, which meant Vadium was the one who'd gained the King's blood. And many others, by the sound of it. Sky's story made Kakushin hold her closer, hushing Sky as her voice failed, and stopping himself from getting too tense. From the urge to remove this Vadium's head, or to cry himself at what sort of horrors his precious girl went through all those years. "He won't do anything more to you, I promise. I won't let anyone hurt you again Sky." Kakushin promised, whispering quietly, and stroking Sky's hair until the girl finally calmed down. Kakushin glanced towards Havok, the boy leaning against the wall, a puzzled look on his face as he didn't know what emotion to feel right now. What made Kakushin want to smile was that Havok looked a little... angry, at hearing what Sky had to go through. "Havok.. Do you remember what Vadium did to you?" Kakushin asked. The Kyuban glanced up, before wincing a little. "C... cut open Havok." He explained, lifting his shirt a little to reveal a very large, vertical scar across his stomach. "V... Vadium tooks things... an.. and.. open head... also." Havok added, this time lifting his fringe to show the scar along his hairline, a shuddering sight, just picturing that at one point, this Vadium literally opened up Havok's head to mess around with. All possibility of seeing this man went out the window, and Kaku sighed. "We'll avoid him, I don't want Havok getting harmed from that freak doctor, or you Sky. Perhaps we'll ask you Dada too, he might have some insight on this." Kakushin suggested, before getting Sky to look at him, "But hey, I promise we'll fix your friend, alright? Come on, lets all go inside, get something to eat." Kakushin added, holding onto Sky and pulling her up with him, the girl pretty much latched onto the King now, and with Havok following closely, Kakushin led them both indoors.
