The arrival was key. To make an impression worthy of a leader, a King, one needed to have the charisma, the power and intellect, the cunning and the timing that any royalty should have. For Blye, the one and only user of Time magic, timing was his life. Things had happened rapidly in his life, even for one with the power to slow things down as much as he wanted to. Losing his past, attempting to plan for his future, then to be hit by the sudden announcement of a war. Blye had, of course, predicted the entire thing. A little sneak-peek into the future of a Minato resident, told Blye all he needed to know. He went through many scenarios, thinking in his head about what he could do to stop it, go to the council now and demand control, or warn the Angels. But, if he'd learnt anything from experience, Blye knew that not all problems could be solved with his magic, despite how heavily it flowed through his blood. Blye kept an eye on the particular man he'd used to scry through. Nicolas, the man had an interesting future, and a past. All made Blye want to befriend the Human. And he was glad he did, without needed to check the future and make sure, watching Nick and other Humans rise up against war, speak out for a better sense of Humanity, gave Blye the arrival he needed. They'd just been saved of multiple wounds and casualties by the Demon King, Rurushu. Blye had a chance to help out, under Nicolas' guide. Humans from all other the charred and burnt Minato came out of hiding to help the dying King, even Blye did. After looking into the King's past, and saw many things. Some not so good, but others, they were inspiring.
Blye had been away, in a land purposely left forgotten, it was only now that he was learning about these important people. Like the Demon King, or his fellow Humans. One fortunate thing about Blye's powers was how quickly he could get to know someone, even before they knew his name. Scary to some, but to Blye, his gift simply meant he had the means to help others even more, to peer into the past that perhaps even they themselves tried to forget, and he'd use to it heal their wounds, in a way only he could. Looking into Rurushu's, Blye saw a family. A younger sister, soon found as a Human and treated all the same as before. There was conflict, hate in his past. But, a very bright light as well. A person, that Ru loved more than anyone. That person almost died for him, brought him to his sister, forgave him, and eventually, married him. They became both Kings of the Angel and Demon races, adopting two kids, adorable ones, Blye thought to himself. Quite a past, it made Blye smile as he watched, which perhaps to those around him, panicking as they tried to stop bleeding wounds, might look a little out of place. Blye blinked out of his recollection, pushing up his glasses a bit and getting up. He seeked out Nick, and probably gave the man some sudden, and confusing news.
"I'm going to go stop the war. This has made a massive dent though, but things aren't quite solve yet. There is one who still suffers, and he suffers deeply. The Angel King will destroy much with his hate for our race, rightly so after all his has gone through. So, I'm going to go talk to him, and make you, my friend, and everyone here a promise, that in approximately one hour and fifteen minutes, the war will be over. I'll make an alliance with the King of Angels, and if I succeed, you and the others can support me as King of Humans, sound like a plan?"
Nick, and a few others listening, mostly scoffed or frowned in confusion. Blye simply smiled to them, glancing over to the Demon King once more. He cast a little of his magic, enough to help the King make a full recovery, and make sure those fatal wounds don't remain fatal, before his feet lifted off the ground. And to everyone else, Blye simply blinked out of existence. In frozen time, Blye spent a long while searching for the King of Angels. Around cities, up in Aura, down in the more secluded regions around the charted areas of Sohul. Finally, he found him, down in Rycora. Blye unfrozen time with a click of his fingers, but remained just covered by the tree line, watching down at what event unfolded beneath him.

With the Oblivia gone, the restraint on Kaku's lawful way of thinking, the King had his mindset return. He was no longer clouded with visions of hate or the lust for blood and death of all who'd done him wrong. He didn't loath Humans, call them filth, and he didn't want to commit anymore genocide or murder against them. The rage was subsided, at the sacrifice of a life, most likely, of one who deserved so much better to be betrayed during his last moments. But even though Kaku's uncontrollable hate was gone, his heart was still in tatters, his mind now clouded instead with self-loathing, thoughts of those he cherished- now dead, and what remnants of anything the King had left. And those who lived, who Kakushin loved, would never love him the same way again. He was being controlled by an evil magic, but Kaku could remember every moment of it, how he felt, the joy at killing people, ripping out their hearts or crushing them under buildings. It made him sick. And to add to his weakness, the King was still covered in wounds, poorly tended to bullet holes littered his chest, making it hard to walk straight. And the Angel didn't even had a direction he walked to. Part of Kakushin was heading to Seigin Temple, to let the remains of the Saints who probably wanted his heart on a stick finish him off, or perhaps Kaku stumbled back to Minato, to be with Ru, who he assumed was probably gone from this world now.
Either journey, the King was stopped soon. Shadows around the dark trees of Rycora moved and wavered unnaturally. He stopped to watch them, and as he noticed the mystical shadows, they stopped, and began to swarm towards him. From the shadows, came at least five individuals. All masked, wearing dark clothing and carrying knives. One spoke out, "We come here as request of our leader, Duke. You took the life of one he loved dearly, and must pay for the suffering put upon our trusted captain." The masked man whispered. Kaku glanced his way, before almost ignoring it all together. He took one step forward, feeling cold metal pressed against his back as he did. The next step he knew would cost his life, which the Angel King took without much hesitation. But, rather than feel the chilling pain of multiple new wounds, Kaku only saw a bright flash of light, coming from a fast moving, smaller being. When they stopped moving, all the assassins had been felled or otherwise disarmed for the moment, and Kakushin stared towards a familiar, stern face.

Post by Hane Light on Feb 29, 2016 22:07:14 GMT
The coma never got better or worse. For years Hane had been like this, dead to world, only able to hear others go by, age around him with worry of his condition. He didn't feel like he should live anymore, every heartbeat surprised the comatosed Angel. Then, all of a sudden, his eyes opened. Hane saw light for the first time in years, as he blinked away the dizzying sensation. He could feel his limbs, move them at his own will. The Angel could have smiled, if there weren't immediately pressing matters for him. His first thought was of Tenshi. She wasn't here, the place the Angel usually was, and with her gone, and Kakushin in a dark place, Hane felt a problem creep along his back. Whatever divine force healed him of his coma, also healed his returning mortal wounds, but already Hane could feel them returning. Blood was seeping across his back, and it was growing hard to breath. Hane flipped himself out of the bed, landing hard and stumbling to the floor. Someone came to aid him, if his comatosed memory could recollect, it was one of Nanari's cats. One of many that currently occupied the room, all startled to see the sleeping patient suddenly wake up and jump out of bed. The guard rejected help, he needed to do too much right now. Since Tenshi wasn't here, it meant his next thought went to Kakushin. The King was causing trouble, or rather, suffering from it, and Hane knew he needed to act immediately as an advisor to a King that sorely needed one. So he rushed out of the house, to a town that was burning. Minato looked to be in the midst of rescue, so Hane kept on moving, taking to the skies, ignoring wave after wave of nausea and head aches as he flew. Kaku was out here somewhere, not only could Hane predict it, as there was little else an Angel could go nowadays, and also... something in Hane's gut simply told him so.
He wheezed for breath, counting down minutes until his fading immortality would become a real problem, but still remained focused on searching out for Angelic light. Any sign of his King, and Hane found a few. The charred, half destroyed remains of a Temple for one, recognised as belonging to the Saints. Then, shadows, unnatural ones, darting through Rycora. Hane followed them, and sure enough, following the dark entities brought him to the Angel King, who looked like a flicker of light, compared to his old self. And beyond just the light missing from Kakushin's eyes, he looked completely disinterested when facing the death of these shadowy assailants around him. It mattered not to Hane what the morbid disposition of his King was, he had a duty to protect him. So, in a flash of light, using magic that had been dormant for a few years, Hane made quick work of the assassins. They weren't average, able to, in some cases, keep up with the guard's attacks, but eventually Hane had disarmed them all. Turning to scowl at Kakushin. "Your majesty..." Hane began, the wounds on his back hissing as they burnt back together. "Standing there idle as death threatens you is no way for a leader to act. There are others who look up to you, a race you must govern." Hane began. He knew what kind of tatters remained of the Angelic race, of their home and numbers, but Hane had mourned that loss in his long sleep. "If even one Angel remains, you still have a race to rule, people to protect. Giving up your life grants no one peace, not when it carries so much importance." Hane added. He flinched as two of the assassins got up, trained fighter who was easily ready for more than one round of combat. Hane prepared his sword, aiming to take them out once more. But, the one step forward he took felt like a tremor was passing up his leg and into his head, causing Hane's entire body to shake. The pain remained in his mind, making the guard dizzy on his feet, almost to the point of collapsing. He was in no state to make his attack, which made the one who was suppose to be protecting, become the most vulnerable.

Kakushin couldn't believe Hane was standing before him. It was like seeing a ghost. The King didn't think he had anyone left, not his family, not anyone. And yet here Hane appeared, believed to be dying of a coma. Kakushin was immediately near tears, staying quiet as Hane spoke. Words that Kakushin hadn't realised he longed to hear. He missed his advisor, his... father, in more ways that he knew. He almost smiled, "If you're really standing here.. then I guess I do have something to protect again." Kakushin muttered. His face did lift into a smile, but it only lasted a moment. Hane was falling, struck by something that made his balance falter. In that moment, the assassins went to attack. The King's smile turned into a glare, and he took off to stand in front of Hane, blocking one attack, and sending the assailant back, going to block another one. Kakushin gritted his teeth, striking out with one hand whilst the other held his stomach, the bullet wounds stretching with pain as he moved about like this. But, he wouldn't lose Hane again. In an unlikely switch of roles, Kakushin was the one protecting Hane this time, the first time, for the old man and his old student. Kakushin shook off the last two assassins, but they were like a pack of wolves. Sending one away only allowed the others to swarm. At one point, Kaku didn't think he could lift his blade anymore, and he felt his first fear of death as a knife came towards him. But then Kakushin saw around him, in less than a blink, that all the assassins were gone. He took a moment to breath it in, the silence of the forest, before blinking and turning to Hane. "You... stupid old man, that was reckless." Kakushin scolded, though it had little impact considering how his emerald eyes began to draw tears. "Don't... don't you ever leave me again. I can't lose anyone else." Kakushin admitted, and like a child, his head fell to Hane's shoulder, giving the old man a hug whether he wanted it or not.

Blye wouldn't ruin the reunion below him. He didn't need to even check the past of these Angels to know the bond they shared. So he remained up in the trees, finding a place to perch as the seemingly younger Angel protected the older one. He seemed to beat back the assassins with incredible speed, Blye could monitor it easily, but the fighters were easily taken care of, for the moment. But the younger Angel didn't last long, something caused him to drop, and the Angel King stood in to protect. In his condition, Kakushin wasn't going to win this fight. Blye's brow creased over his eyes, knowing that, whilst this moment was important for the two Angels, he couldn't let them die. So he jumped from the tree, pausing time as he did. One by one, Blye grabbed the assassins, dragging them away, which in itself took a while considering how Blye lacked in physical strength. But, eventually he'd dragged them far enough away, taking away their weapons and hiding them. Brushing off himself, Blye strolled back, finding his tree and returning to the branches above. Snapping his fingers once more, time continued, the King and his friend safe from danger now. They had each other, and finally had time to share a moment. Blye smiled, perhaps wincing a little, as the Angel King simply gave in to his relief, embracing the younger Angel, calling him old man, which was interesting.
Blye knew he should give them a minute... In fact he'd checked, by appearing before them, receiving a hostile response, then going back in time to not act so rash. Both had experienced a hard time, so Blye gave them all the time needed. The Angel King was in far less a frenzy than Blye had thought. He wasn't fuelled by rage, destroying everything. In fact, he looked close to giving up. The Human couldn't decide what kind of troubled King was easier to deal with, but he had a plan of approach either way. Eventually, after the two Angels had talked, Blye dropped down from the tree, floating carefully onto his feet, and smiling to the pair. "Kakushin... King of Angels." Blye announced, holding his hands up as he walked closer, he took a quick look at the smaller Angel, figuring out his past as well. Another very interesting one. Immortality, of at least two hundred years. This seasoned Angel had seen a lot, and yet it seemed only in current events had he really seen life for the gifts it gave, friends... family, love. Blye smiled towards the smaller Angel, "And Hane, royal guard for the Angel King." Blye added, before bowing slowly, "I mean you no harm, my name is Blye Setai-Nushi, future King of Humans.. And a friend, willing to help." Blye announced, he lifted his head, glancing to both Angels, before getting straight to the point. He pushed his glasses a little, "You're about to ask me what kind of help can a.. in your future words, 'arrogant and selfish Human' like me give to you?" Blye stated, smiling softly, "I know this war has given you an extreme prejudice towards Humans, and rightly so. But... do you judge one man for the actions of another? If a man stole from you, would you turn your head, and blame someone else for the crime? I understand that sometimes, actions require the judgement of populations, rather than individuals, but that doesn't mean every single person in that group harbours that same ill intent. Picturing it in terms of a theory your race and the Demon race has stood for for two thousand long years, the world must have a balance." Blye paused, taking a step forward, predicting that his words spoke for his alignment. "Something about this war has thrown that balance off, as I believe you know well, your Highness. Hatred has been outweighing compassion for too many long years, making a hostile stance something natural. I want to help create that balance again, return compassion to our worlds. Speak out for the Human race and prove that we, power-hungry simple beings, can share."

Hane spoke back in his usual way, refusing to see the danger he'd put himself in, only concerned for Kakushin's injuries. As a King, Kakushin would survive his wounds, tended to or not, but they still hurt. Though, after a few minutes rest, he and Hane felt ready to move. Back to Minato, to see others, Kakushin's urge to live rekindled by Hane's return, for now. As they moved, however, another appeared. He floated down from the air, and looked nothing like an assassin. Blue hair, a long brown jacket, glasses and a headband. This eccentric fellow didn't look like a threat, but he was Human. Kakushin glared at him, suspicion and urge to grasp his sword increasing as the Human knew his and Hane's names. Kakushin didn't get to speak, however, as the man, Blye, spoke first. He had a lot to say, words that seemed rehearsed, for this very moment. But beyond what Blye said, Kakushin focused on the boy's self proclaimed title. He called himself Future King? Either Blye had some ego, or, and something Kaku got from the boy's aura, he was determined. After Blye had finished, Kakushin's shoulders relaxed, but his glare remained. "You have a lot to say, Blye Setai-Nushi. About this war, the balance you want to recreate. It's all very... inspiring." Kakushin began. "But I've seen too much of what this war does to people, too much of what your race has done to mine. And you say I'm right to be cautious of your kind. Well, I am very cautious, I've lost so much due to trusting Humans. So, whilst your proposal to end war, and bring back compassion, is inspiring, it's just honeyed words without proof. What proof can you offer us that you, one lone Human amongst many who chose to harm my race, can change this dreadful world?"

Proof, hearing those words made Blye smile. Yes, it was fair that proving himself was a step to take here. Kakushin had seen too much proof of the opposite intentions to Blye to simply trust the words of strangers. So, the Human nodded. "I have proof of my intentions, and of my heart. I've called myself the future King of Humans, and whilst that is a goal I've lived for, it's not the only one. I don't want a crown, unless it's earned, and unless I have allies around me to grant me such a position. I want you, Kakushin, King of Angels, as my ally. Or... in a term that I like much better, I want to earn your friendship." Blye replied. He put his hands in his pockets, finding the cold silver of one of his pocket watches in one of them. "I suppose I should begin with a little about myself.... though, there's not much to tell. Power is something my race seemed to hunger for constantly, and whilst I myself don't really agree in this greed, I suppose I should demonstrate what I can do with my powers." Blye explained. "I am a user of Time magic. The only user of Time magic. With it, I can do many things, miraculous things. It has overwhelming power to it, and a lot of responsibility. But, my gift, I see as a means of helping others, more than anything else. After all, by just looking at you, I can learn your entire past." Blye added. He glanced up to the King. "You've seen much hardship, losses pile up in a list. And yet, you always came back from them. You've strived for peace, despite all the pain the world has thrown at you. My words might be inspiring, but you, your majesty, have a history that is truly inspiring. To be here, willing to carry on, after the loved ones you've lost... I can sympathise with you."

Blye had more than just a weird air about him, Kakushin could sense a lot of power in the young man. It put him on edge still, but ever so curious that a mere Human could contain so much power. But, Kakushin's eyes widened at the second proposal Blye had. The boy wanted to Kakushin's friend. A part of Kaku wanted to smile, before this war such a gesture would have been considered a privilege to the King, but now, it only made him suspicious. All of this was just words until Blye proved, with actions, that he wasn't just another sly Human, aiming to gain trust to only crush it and take the King down. Finally Blye spoke of his abilities, and both Kaku and Hane were taken back. A user of Time magic, neither had ever heard of such a thing being possible. Time was a reality no one could control, it was considered above the limits of magic to even attempt to. And yet, this boy, claimed he could manipulate time as a magic. Kakushin felt like scoffing, it couldn't be true. But then Blye demonstrated his proof, and Kaku's almost amused look dropped. Yes, he'd lost a lot, many he loved for. Blye seemed to be figuring out the emotional events that Kaku had witnessed in his life, which was agitating as it was. But, the King had something to say. "You can sympathise with me? How? Have you lost loved ones, hundreds of friends and family, have you lost your home, Blye Setai-Nushi? Your purpose? How can I trust you if you can't compare to the past I've suffered? All of this, it's just words, easy to make, and very hard to trust."

Blye closed his eyes. "What is it about people that demands that the only way to share sadness is to also experience it? Why does my past matter? Or yours? Comparing the quality of life and choosing to pity it or desire it is one step away from creating conflict, and hatred. Being the same isn't the only way to trust one another. And if that's how it should be, then fine. Me and you, are the same. We both have lives, we stand on this world, isn't that enough?" Blye paused. Yes, perhaps he was unwilling to share his past, which did have a lot in common with the Angel King's, but Blye didn't want to think of his past right now, it was gone, and the present and future were more important to him now. His eyes dropped, "I... can't explain my past, I can only offer you what I am presently, and what I wish to be in the future. And... I suppose words are just words, whilst this world would be a rich and beautiful place if all words rang true, it isn't the case right now. So, I'll offer you more than just my voice as my proof of conviction." Blye announced. And, as the words left his lips, he clicked a finger. Time stopped once more, a slight strain on Blye now that he'd used it three times in a row, but not much. In frozen time, Blye went and located two that the King sorely longed for, finding them safe, but partly trapped in the remains of a Temple. He carefully carried the two, easier done than with the assassins, due to their size, and returned to Kakushin and his companion. Blye carefully placed the children down before him, taking a moment to learn their names and short pasts. Smiling to Sky and Art, Blye clicked his fingers once more, standing back to let the sudden appearance of the King's children sink in, and reunions to recommence.

This young man stood for a lot more than his small stature would think. Kakushin couldn't trust him, not a Human, but Blye still impressed the King. To think, this young man knew more about the world than anyone, if his magic was true, then it meant he could look far into the past, into the future. He knew what was to come, or what had gone by, and rather than use that to manipulate his words to control others, Blye seemed to use them simply to help, offer much softer words to convince others. And despite how strongly Kakushin didn't want to listen, he couldn't help himself. Blye sounded so honest, more honest than Kakushin himself was at times. His brow relaxed, only to furrow up again, Blye refused to explain his past, and Kakushin couldn't trust him without knowing it. He was about to word exactly that to the Human, when Blye suddenly blinked out of existence for one second, then returning with two others. Kakushin had to look down to see them, but the moment he did, he dropped to his knees, staring to his two children. Two more Kakushin thought he'd lost forever, during his rampage of the Saint's Temple. They both returned the stare, both probably in shock from the sudden transportation. To be honest, Kakushin didn't know what to do beyond stare in disbelief and joy, tears in his eyes, because he'd missed so many years of their lives. Sky, she looked so grown up, and Art. He was walking, standing there on his own. What pained Kaku for a moment was the drop of Sky's gaze, and he remembered the terrible things he'd said to the Saints. He knew he wasn't himself, but... part of him was still there, and he'd practically disowned his children, stating it out loud. Kaku winced, leaning down to Sky a bit, "Sky.. I.." Kakushin muttered, unable to say much more. Still not lifting her eyes, Sky moved forward to give Kakushin a quick, stiff hug. "H.. hello Dada." She mumbled, before Art made a confused noise. "Dada? Hey Skyyy... is he our Dada?" Art asked, and Sky nodded to him, moving back towards Art, and explaining how she'd gone over who their parents were to the young Demon. Kakushin just knelt there, smiling to Art. "You've... grown up so much, little Art." Kakushin said to him. The boy's golden eyes looked up for a moment, before Art turned shy, shuffling to hide a bit behind Sky. Kakushin didn't press for the boys attention, like any five year old, he was probably timid of the unknown, which for a young boy who'd grown up in a prison, everything was no doubt unknown to him. Sky soon found something else meet her gaze, and this time she really opened up. The girl dashed right passed Kaku, practically leaping at Hane. "MR SIR HANE! YOU'RE ALIVE!" She almost screamed, grabbing hold of the rather taken back guard and hugging him tight, muffled tears coming from the girl as well. Those two deserved a happy reunion, as much as Kakushin wished he'd gotten the same sort of affection from his daughter. He glanced to Art as the boy, now without his sister to hide behind, looked around frantically. "Where's Havok? Havok is my.. my bestest ever friend, why isn't he here too?" Art mumbled, at one point beginning to sniffle towards the border of crying. Kakushin quickly recalled the one his son mentioned, and felt even worse. The Kyuban, the one Kakushin had very quickly turned again, stabbed and scared. But that boy also helped defeat Banto, without him, Kakushin may have lost. So, the King smiled a little. "Your friend is back at the Temple... why.. why don't we go see him?" Kakushin stated, and Art's eyes lit up, tears drying quickly. Kakushin slowly got up, glancing to Sky, and then Blye, whom he gave a nod to. "You wanted to help me, and you have. This.. is a gift I don't know if I can ever return, but I will try. Whilst friendship isn't guaranteed right now, you at least have my trust. I'd like to help you end this war, and the one place it still burns is where the Saints reside. It might be dangerous, so I'd like to request your assistance, Blye, perhaps you can continue to prove your resolve there."
