Note: Takes place, where Akvan's original body was destroyed and buried: Here
Akvan felt guilty for doing this, and every mile he flew, the more bad he felt. Just when he and Chester were so happy, celebrating the new addition to their lives, Akvan was haunted by the past. And, the future he'd been shown. Mitasu might be gone, but when the Sun Child slept, he saw the same nightmare over and over. Everything burned, the worlds Akvan cared so much for were desolate and empty, and none who he loved were left alive. The only one left, was Akvan, and his evil other half. Shinda, standing in a nightmarish form laughing with earthquakes forming from his very voice. The devil was still attached to Akvan, maybe not physically anymore, but Akvan could still feel Shinda in his mind, trying to destroy Akvan's sanity. So, his own fears kept hidden from anyone else, Akvan had left to go search for Shinda. He'd been gone since early that morning, travelling towards the three mountains he'd once seen as so safe.
Now they might just be the hiding place of the worst evil, it depended on what Akvan discovered there. The Sun child commanded the disk of magic to slow down, and descent carefully into the network of caves. Maybe it was Akvan's own fears, but he could swear this place seemed more ominous, shrouded in a dark mist. Akvan landed carefully in the silent cave, looking around the shadows for any sign of life. He didn't want to be true, he wanted his nightmares to be wrong, and Mitasu's warning to be nothing but a bluff to try and make Akvan shudder. He wished he could just go home soon, apologise to the others for running off without saying anything, and get back to the life he wanted with Chester. But the Sun Child chuckled dryly to himself as he looked around. Somehow, he just knew that the kind of life he wanted would never be in his grasp. And he'd known that, even when celebrating their new family with Chester and the others. Today, would prove Akvan's doubts, he just knew it. He didn't want that, and the Sun Child was determined that even if he found his enemy here, he would fight to grant himself that peaceful life, but for now Akvan knew what kind of future he faced. Taking a few breaths, Akvan headed deeper, looking around and trying to force back the memories of his time trapped here.
It was a forsaken place to Akvan, he'd hidden here willingly before, but it still remained eerie to him, and full of bad thoughts and intentions. Although, it was also the resting place of Onrah, which served as the only fresh air to this otherwise thick and foul place. After seeing a few flickering shadows, and realising he was just imagining them, Akvan decided to swallow his fears and head straight up to the graves. He'd find no evidence here, up at the mountain's peak would be a really answer. His hat hung low, and Akvan felt his gaze turn anciently slow around the corner to the small patch of green. His eyes skimmed over his untouched brother's grave, until it was glued to the sight. Akvan felt his breath stop, ribs clamped shut and refusing to relax. Akvan's eyes stung with the sudden tears, and his whole body shook.
On the smooth gravestone, the word 'Akvan' was cracked and clawed. And with blackened blood, the words 'Guess who?' were etched across the stone. It wasn't what made Akvan's being freeze, but the state of his grave. It had burst, as if something from inside had fought their way to the surface, ridding any of the earth from their way. Akvan felt dizzy, he'd been staring at the open grave for what felt like a lifetime, the fear locking him in this state. That hellish being, he was alive again, in a body Akvan thought he'd destroyed. Shinda wasn't just a spirit anymore, he had a physical body, and no doubt a lot of power. Evil power, that the Sun child could still feel radiating from this area, burning into Akvan's skin.
"That fucking face... I wish I could paint a picture of it." Came a harsh and dry voice, dying yet still powerful. It made Akvan wake up from his state, looking around to find it dark around him. Either he'd been frozen in fear for so long, or this darkness was being created by something. Akvan blinked, sucked in a long waiting breath and looked around. That voice was unmistakable, and Akvan demanded to know where it came from. His skittish search seemed to make Shinda laugh, wherever he was hiding. "Where are you? How... how did you come back?" Akvan asked into the dark and thick air. Shinda laughed louder. "I've missed watching you wriggle, shitty brat. And, I've been here the whole time, you just haven't been able to see me. But... can you see me now?" Shinda asked, and then he walked forward, posing before Akvan and grinning as the Sun Child broke further. Shinda looked, just as Akvan did. But he was scarred, horrifically scarred, across most of his face and body. One of his hands showed bone, and half of Shinda's face seemed as though it was ripped off. He was a walking, and talking corpse. Akvan wanted to attack, his magic glowed and hummed around his hands, but Akvan couldn't move. Shinda stood before him, not hiding in someone else, but Akvan's evil stood before him in his own body. And Akvan couldn't do anything, stuck in the tremendous fear of that torture Shinda had put him through, making sure weak little Akvan knew his place. Shinda knew it now, looking to Akvan like he was still a slave to the devil's power, and didn't hesitate to move right up to Akvan. "It's been fun, watching you run around like a fucking hero. And, to see you so happy with a family, it almost brought me to tears. If I could cry, but some shitty brat tried to destroy me, leaving me like this. Oh right, that shitty brat was you, and I plan to never let you forget it. Not that it's all that important really. Heh, fuck me, I haven't talked this much in a long while, but perhaps I've just missed our little chats, Akvan. I'm sure we'll get plenty more... but, I've said to much." Shinda hissed, turning to slowly walk away from Akvan, looking into the darkness like he could see for miles. "There's a fucking lot I've got to do, so we'll talk more later, after I've put this world right."
