It was certainly a lie if one said Shinda didn't work. He didn't stop, the days he was alone, or with just Iruka or Sakana, Shinda would be always working. He didn't do it just for the others, for his need to constantly try and help other or repay them for all their help. Shinda did it, because that was what he liked doing, it made him feel more like a person every time he did a job. From gardening to cleaning or putting in new floors or replaying wooden supports in the house, all things the Demon did happily. And now, almost a fully grown adult, like everyone else, Shinda was beginning to think about settling down, so to speak. It would impossible, without the others, to find a place of his own. And Shinda didn't really like the idea of leaving Iruka and Sakana, knowing without wings he wouldn't be able to see them as often. So he'd come up with a plan, a plan for the promise he'd made Sayo a while ago. He promised he'd build them their own little place, just for them to share and no one else. And it would exist on this island, or rather, in the island. It was obvious that with Shinda's claws, he could dig like it was natural, and Shinda was an expert at the 'craft'. So at night, when no one would notice a Demon hanging on the side of a floating island, Shinda would begin digging into the side of the island. He'd started around a year ago in secret, to all but his friends excluding Sayo of course. And now, Shinda was happy to say he thought it looked complete. It wasn't just some dirt hole in the ground, Shinda had gone to a lot of work to make it look like a home. The entrance was tilted, meaning looking straight towards the island, it was impossible to even see, only able to enter if one knew where it was. Inside, Shinda had created a few rooms, the dirt walls covered over by panels of wood so it looked nicer. A plain room without much in it, then the biggest room with chairs and furniture the Demon had built himself. And a small room made with a bed area, also made by Shinda, but also using material from his bed in Sakana's house too, so it was as comfortable as Shinda could make it with what he had. As plain as it all was, Shinda knew over time, he and Sayo could soon make it perfect. So this was as far as Shinda was planning on going with building the place, now came the point of showing it to Sayo.
Shinda carefully climbed his way out of the cave, an expert climber seeing as that was all the flightless Demon could do, and crawled back onto the Angel's garden. The others were kindly all out today, and that made it a perfect opportunity for just Shinda to share with Sayo, knowing she'd turn up soon. Looking to the skies, Shinda soon spotted someone approaching, knowing already whose set of wings those were. He smiled, waving a hand in the air excitedly. "Sayo! There's something I need to show you!"

It had taken Sayo a long while, and plenty of friends to talk to her, but she finally felt like she belonged, even going as far as to spend time with mother and Tenshi in healing lessons, mother going as far to show her things she could do without magic as they had. And the days she wasn't doing that, Sayo was with her love Shinda, falling harder and harder for him each day. It was still strange to think that without everyone she cared for and loved as family, Sayo would have been dead. And she had long gotten over the abandonment feeling when everyone else went to do things, but she had Shinda during those days, such as today, and that was all she ever needed really, besides her sister. Flying quick to Shinda, once Tenshi and Rifi left, Sayo was quick to find her fellow Demon, waving over to him and tackling him into a hug and kiss as she landed and caused the two to fall, breaking the kiss, Sayo looked up to the other, smiling brightly. "Hey Shinda! Missed you!" Sayo missed every moment away from him, even if it had been less then a day. "Ooooo, what is it you have to show me!? Oh and I have news as well! Really, really good news!" When Sayo heard of it, she couldn't control her excitement, and she hoped, well knew Shinda would be happy too.

It was long since watching Sayo fly down each time that Shinda longed for a point where he could join her up there. Fly around like the others could. As much as he loved Sayo, and knew for eternity she'd feel the same, Shinda often wondered if he was keeping her weighted down. The time they'd had so far together was amazing, and it would have only been better, if both had the freedom wings granted. But Shinda shook the thought away. His lack of wings had never, as far as Shinda had noticed, brought the others down, or at least they were too kind to let it show. He knew his friends were always far too kind, and would never see Shinda's disability as anything but normal. So Shinda let the thought leave his head, instead focusing on preparing himself. Sayo diving onto him was the normal greeting now, and it was a good thing Shinda had an armoured back for the amount of times he'd been knocked over by it. He chuckled as he fell back, only until returning the kiss and holding Sayo as tight as he could. Taking a breath, Shinda smiled back, "I've missed you too Sayo, but I've been busy making something just for us. I'll show you... if I could get up." Shinda replied, giggling to the last part. Carefully lifting himself, and Sayo up, Shinda's head tilted. "News? What is it Sayo?" Shinda asked curiously. He couldn't think of what kind of news would have Sayo so excited, as far as Shinda could recollect anyway. He began moving a little towards the end of the garden, keeping his curious gaze on Sayo however as he listened.

Sayo was very curious as to what this surprise was, Shinda had been quite busy with it recently, and everyone else made sure she didn't find out, she would know. So finally being able to find out was exciting. Looking down to Shinda, Sayo just shook her head refusing to move, giggling as he got up himself taking her with him, it was something that happened most times, Sayo being content to attack him in a hug and remain however they landed. Jumping up and down, Sayo wanted to both tell her news and see what Shinda was working on, however, her news won for now, as it meant more time for Shinda's surprise. "Oooo, me! Me first!" Calming herself down, Sayo gave a large teeth filled smile. "I'm going to be an Auntie!" Tenshi had just announced to Sayo that she was going to have a baby, having just been told from her mother, originally they thought she had been ill for a few weeks, but it turns out it was something much better when they checked. "It was funny watching Rifi's face drain of colour before sweeping up big sis in a hug." Hugging Shinda tight, Sayo briefly wondered if she would ever get chance to be a mother, because she would totally be the best! "Ooo, but Shinda, what is it you want to show me? I'm dying to know..."

Shinda smiled at Sayo's excitement. It was always hard to tell how big news was when Sayo was explaining it, she got equally excited about everything. Though this time, Shinda could see a little more sparkle in those beautiful eyes of hers, so it obviously meant whatever the news was, it was really big and really good. And Shinda never could have guessed what it was. Sayo being an Aunty meant one thing, Tenshi and Rifi were expecting. And it made Shinda's mouth drop open for a moment. The realisation of how far his friend group had gone. From little kids running around a garden, to soon-to-be parents, giving life to the next age of Angels. Shinda wasn't even a member of the same race as them, but it still made him so happy. Plus, if Sayo was aunty, that meant that technically Shinda was an uncle. All of it made the Demon truly happy for his friends. Chuckling as the excited Sayo gave him another hug, Shinda barely got the chance to respond. "That's incredible news Sayo, I'm happy for them. And for you, I know the child will have the best aunty in the world, easily." Shinda replied, kissing Sayo's cheek. Smiling brightly, Shinda looked down over the edge of the island. "Alright then, follow me down." Shinda instructed, carefully beginning the climb down the side of the island. He looked up to make sure Sayo was flying close by, before climbing down to the hidden entrance. Shinda pointed out the entrance to Sayo, before going inside to wait for her. "Remember I said once, that I'd make a place for just you and me to share? You know, somewhere nice we could share. Well... tadah!" Shinda stated, opening out a hand towards the small underground house. "Do it... what do you think?"

Sayo gave Shinda a huge smile and squeezed him tight before looking at him once more. "You really think so?" Sayo may joke about being the best, but she knew she could go over the top sometimes, so hearing Shinda say she would be is the greatest feeling In the world. Sayo was so excited for her sisters sake, as well as her brothers, she could tell how excited both were about this, and Sayo knew Tenshi would be a great mother, so kind and caring, the sort of woman who would be the perfect queen, not like such a thing was possible. Nodding slightly to Shinda, Sayo hovered close behind him, her interest sparking at each moment, what was there to show her at the side of the island? But it all became clear as Sayo listened to him, tears welling up in her eyes. Their own home, just for them, walking over to Shinda, Sayo brought him in for a kiss, before hiding her face into his neck and shoulder, hugging him tight. "I love it, it looks amazing... Did you build it all yourself?" It truly was an amazing home, but then again, she would think of any place for her and Shinda to live would be, but him making it was so much more special. Looking up though, Sayo smiled jumping a little. "Is it big enough to possibly hold kids of our own?" Cheeks flushing a bright red when she realised exactly what she just asked.

Shinda nodded. Usually his compliments or confidence boosts to Sayo were only to make her feel better. But this time he was being honestly truthful. Everyone felt happy in Sayo's company, so Shinda couldn't imagine anything but her being the best aunt in Aura, and no nephew or niece of hers would ever hold a frown when Sayo was around. But focusing in on the revealing of Shinda's work, the Demon holding his breath as he waited for Sayo to get a good look once eyes had adjusted to the darker room. Letting the breath out, and almost a little whimper of relief as well as Sayo answered, Shinda was soon returning that kiss and embracing the Demoness closely. "Yeah, all of it was just my work. Some things might have been offered from the others above us, but from digging to the furniture... I wanted to make it my little project to show how much I loved you." Shinda replied. He expected a happy reaction from Sayo, and was glad at her jumping. But he'd not expected that kind of question. It had Shinda's mouth dropped open again. "Ummm..." Shinda mumbled, coughing to force himself to concentrate. "Yes... Yes! There's loads of room, and I can always make... make more room." Shinda replied, unable to concentrate on either thinking on how to make space, to thinking over what Sayo was suggesting. He held one of her hands in his, taking a deep breath to calm himself, "Do you want that kind of thing?" Shinda ended up asking.

Sayo already knew Shinda loved her, he showed it often, and Sayo did all she could to show it back, but that didn't stop the happy tears over their new home, one he made completely himself. Sayo didn't care what was offered form the others, the though alone was enough. "Thank you..." Sayo really was, she loved living with her family, but in doing so meant little time with Shinda compared to what she wanted, now she didn't have to worry. Sayo buried her head in his shoulder after the slip up, it was something she wanted, and was thinking about, but never found the right time to ask Shinda on his matter, hoping to do so at the right time and not like this. But she did smile a little, as he didn't flat out refuse the idea, looking up bashfully, Sayo gave a nod, squeezing his hands back. "Well yeah, course I want kids, little tiny munchkins to call my own. I mean, if you do that's completely fine as well, but I love the idea and I never thought I would get the chance when younger, but I found someone I love that I want them with and I know you would be a terrific father and I hope that I would be a good mother, I mean its hard to guess now but I would love the chance to find out, but I was going to ask you about it because I didn't know if you wanted that and I was scared you would hate me if you didn't and I know children are difficult to raise but we have the others and again you would make a terrific father so it wouldn't be all bad. I always imagined being able to teach them things like we were taught, speaking and loving and being able to draw and stuff. I'm rambling aren't I?" Sayo took a much needed breath, terrified that Shinda would hate her, well, she knew he wouldn't, but what if he didn't want them? Sayo just made it obvious she did, and she didn't want Shinda feeling bad if he didn't and said no.

It felt bad to Shinda in his head when he thought about the fact that, it hadn't really crossed his mind to have children of his own. Reasons? Well, for a while, just trying to keep Sayo smiling and make her this home was all Shinda really thought about. Plus, when he'd desired to know more of his own kind long ago, he'd been granted that with Sayo. And she was enough for Shinda to be forever happy, one perfect Demon. He'd never considered, introducing even more Demons into his life by that kind of method. But Sayo's little slip up had given Shinda the opening to think about it now. And to all honesty, Shinda couldn't think of anything he'd want more. Shinda listened closely to Sayo, beginning to smile a little more and more as she kept on with her reasons for wanting this. He shook his head with a little chuckle, "No, of course you're not. And you're wrong... A good mother? Sayo, you'd make the best mother." Shinda replied, kissing Sayo's head softly. He sighed, "I only worry for their safety, we are lucky as two Demons to be able to live peacefully in such a hostile place. But a whole family? They could be in danger... but I suppose. No." Shinda began again, his gaze a little harder and determined. "No, I want to have my own family, children and all. And I want to keep you happy Sayo, because that makes my world perfect. So no matter the danger, I'd protect them, protect all of us. There could be issues, but if I can't make this place big enough, we can always find somewhere else... perhaps, perhaps even go to Dranar somewhere peaceful, where the others could visit still. When I was younger, I wanted to find more Demons. Even one. But to have a family of my own, a real, blood family? Sayo, the only thing that makes it more perfect is that I'm the lucky Demon that gets to have that with you." Shinda began rambling himself. But he stopped to let Sayo catch up, looking down into her eyes as they sparkled.

Sayo brought her hands to her face wiping away the onslaught of happy tears with each word Shinda spoke. All that worrying that he wouldn't want to, be it at all or just with her, slipping away as she leaned into Shinda, crying into his shoulder softly. She knew of the dangers in raising a family here, it was difficult enough keeping Shinda safe and keep her Demon identity hidden, but they could work around it, and there so many that could help, with the idea of going to a safe place in Dranar was still an option. Looking up to Shinda, Sayo dragged him into a large love filled kiss, before hugging him tight. "You really mean that? We could have our own family. Gods I was so scared you wouldn't want that and would hate me for asking, you never showed signs of it and I just couldn't tell. But if you do that's amazing, you would be so good as a daddy, looking after miniature u's. And as for safety we'll work something out, we would have the others, and lets not forget what excuse we use for me so we have that, or we can find a place in Dranar I don't mind, I'm just so happy you want babies too." Sayo knew she was still probably rambling, but she was ever so happy.

It took a lot to keep Shinda from tearing up too. He never cried often, but just looking towards Sayo when she was all teary eyed was hard to not copy. Blinking a few times, Shinda let one little tear drop fall before refused leave for the others, instead resting his head over Sayo's, stroking it softly. Shinda just let himself be dragged, it was already far from a time when Shinda would think before letting Sayo kiss him, and the Demon right now wanted nothing more than to show her just how much he meant to keep her happy and start a family with her through the kiss. Shinda smiled again, "We will have our own family. Of course I want a family with you, that's more perfect that what I'd once considered." Shinda replied. He scratched his head a little, "You think I would?" He asked, wondering himself how he'd handle looking after some smaller Demon, when he'd only known how to be looked after himself. "Well, it would be something to find out, and I can't wait to see what a perfect mother you'd be." Shinda added, kissing the top of Sayo's head. "So I definitely want this Sayo. Whenever you want to start a family, is when I want to start one too."

Sayo smiled to Shinda, already thinking over names and what their kids may look like, would they look more like her or Shinda? But it was something only future children would show. But she nodded to him, jumping up and down. "Yeah, I really think so. Your so kind and caring, always protecting the others making sure no harm comes to them be physically or emotionally, and whenever their in trouble your always the first to help. You have such a kind and loving heart and soul Shinda, and I know you will be a great father because of it." Sayo just knew he would be, she couldn't ever see Shinda being any different then he is now. But looking up to Shinda, Sayo's smile wavered in worry. "You honestly think I would be a good mother? I know I can be quite childish and such." But with Shinda's last words, Sayo blushed a little, before looking to him. "What... What if I wanted to start a family now? Cause I love you and were not getting any younger and I want it as well and knowing you do too its just so amazing, but if its too quick that's okay as well, but you know I thought I would ask and such because I really do want it and again I really love you and I think having miniature us's would be adorable."

Shinda looked a little worried, but he tried smiling. So he was protective, that Shinda could agree with. However, he did tend to, over think things, there were cases in his learning with Iruka that Shinda did that. He didn't often hear someone else call him kind and loving, Shinda was more of the, body-guard, not afraid to kill to save the others kind of Demon. But if Sayo had said it, then Shinda would try his best to meet the expectations of her opinion of him. Shinda rubbed his eyes, "Thank you Sayo, your faith in me is all I need." He replied, holding Sayo closer. He chuckled when Sayo seemed to doubt herself now, which was so wrong of her to do it was almost humorous. "Of course you will. You've got that Demon toughness in you, but that sweet, forever young side? That's what's needed to most, a mother who can keep a smile on her children's faces easily." Shinda answered, still smiling. His smile seemed to go a little wobbly with her suggestion, but Shinda shook of that unpredicted answer from Sayo. "Now? As in, right now?" Shinda asked for confirmation, though he did lean down close to Sayo's face, kissing it softly. There was no information on how long Demons lived for, so Sayo was right. They weren't getting any younger, and if their friends were at that age of parenthood, then why not the Demon pair as well? "I love you too." Shinda whispered.

Sayo didn't know if Shinda was just saying this or meant it... Though she knew deep down he did mean it, but it was calming and sweet all the same, and made Sayo tear up a little. But her blush over ran the tears. When she said now, she meant they could think about trying, not like now-now, but at the same time the thought didn't disgust her at all, and if Shinda wanted to, she had no objections. Smiling as she kissed Shinda back, Sayo looked down a little before replying to his previous question. "Its not what I meant... But I'm not opposed to now-now..." Sayo didn't know if he wanted to or not, she hoped he did, and what better way to break in the new home? But she didn't mind either way, Sayo was content to wait, she loved Shinda very much, and would be willing to wait forever for him. "Its all up to you really... I love you so much and I don't want to make it seem like you have to for my sake, I want you to want it too and I need you to know that no matter what it is I'm willing to wait forever..." Sayo really needed to stop rambling when she was embarrassed.

Shinda was already willing to have a family with Sayo, and if she wanted it right away, then Shinda wouldn't argue. Plus, trying now wouldn't mean they'd get an immediate result. The Demon always wanted to show how much he loved Sayo, in any way he could. If she wanted this, then Shinda would obviously comply. Shinda smiled, carefully lifting Sayo's head back up and resting his against it. "Neither am I. Sayo, I would go to each end of this world for you, even without wings, if that was what you wanted. Anything you want, is what I want, because I love you so much too, and will spend my life if I can, showing you just how much." Pressing down a little more on Sayo's head, and then kissing her quickly, Shinda soon swiped the Demoness completely off the ground, holding her in his arms carefully. He kept his head close to hers, "And, I don't want to wait forever. I don't want to wait another day. I want to do this right now, and be with you forever afterwards." Shinda replied, placing a few kisses on Sayo's cheek and neck, before slowly moving to one of the smaller rooms with her. Specifically the one Shinda had made a bed in, complete with the softest things the Demon could find from his old bed. This house was theirs now, best start using it, Shinda supposed. He turned and sat back on the bed, letting Sayo slide to his side, all the while refusing to break one passionate kiss with her. Finally breaking it off, Shinda pressed his head against Sayo's still. "Let's start our family, Sayo."
