Name: Banto 'Loop' Mondai
Age: 0
Gender: Boy
Race: Angel (Reborn Human)
Job: Living the life of 'luxury' with his adoptive mother Yume.
Rank: 5 Stars
Appearance:
Banto looks the part of a suspicious, annoying ass-hole who cares only about himself. In part, that's because he is, got his mothers looks if you ask the guy personally. But Banto's had a weird life, and it's understandable in a way. But Banto's appearance is simply down to his nature and current 'hobby'. Tanned skin and dark, spiky and unkept hair. His eyes are a soulless grey, and Banto constantly looks tired. He barely smiles, and when it does, it terrifies everyone, so usually Banto is seen with nothing but an annoyed and partly bored scowl. He wears dark, long clothing, covering up a body that is an mosaic of scars and patched up injuries. He always carries his sword around, when not imprisoned.
Banto's life is a rough one, and he'd be dead if not for his only 'friend'. But he's almost tasted death numerous times now. From being maimed by monsters, to being shot by officials or stabbed in the gut by enemies. He's lost a lot, but cares little for what he does and doesn't have, so long as he can still run around and do what he does best. Currently, Banto has lost: Half of a lung, one kidney, small hole of his stomach, the top of his left ear, three toes and quite a few teeth. And plenty of other cuts litter his body with scars.
Personality: Banto acts the part of someone who doesn't care about anyone else but himself. Some reckless idiot who terrorises the streets of Sohul, attempting to take money to live off and pay for the many 'medical bills' Vadium claims he needs to pay. Right now, Banto is happy to say that his life really is just a loop. He does bad things, gets sent to prison for it, gets bailed out or escapes, and does the same thing again. It's an endless cycle, and Banto knows it. But it isn't exactly what the man hopes to be stuck in forever. His life as a child left the guy in a bad situation, and was the thing that broke the thin line of toleration Banto had towards Angels and Demons. To him, they are relics, the old ones that used to rule. Now that Humans have just as much a means to kill them as they do towards Humans, Banto is just waiting for the tides to turn and something to happen. And he wants a front row seat when it does.
Banto and Vadium have what could be considered a friendship. Banto doesn't mind the guy, since he's Human and had saved the reckless fighter's ass more times than Banto can count. He likes to claim that he only helps Vadium because of his numerous debts to him, but behind all the crazy, Vadium is someone Banto actually respects. They'd been childhood friends for a while, before the Pandemic tore their worlds apart. It wasn't until ten years later that Banto met the mad doctor again.
Likes: Having money, the strong, the resistant, being as close to healthy as possible. Living, being free, strength of Humans. Evolution.
Dislikes: The relics, being poor, being in jail, idiots having their way, Humans fighting each other, being dead, losing.
Weapons: Banto uses a sword most of the time, although he likes to dwell into stronger weapons, such as explosives and guns that are growing ever more popular as ranged Human weapons.
Magic: Portal Magic: A simple magic that Banto uses to the best of his abilities. Point one place, create a line of glowing black magic, then point elsewhere, and there you have a portal. Anything can pass through it, the bigger the portal or the greater the distance between each, and Banto gets tired, or the portal becomes more dangerous, and might not teleport everything across. A portal can also be cut off whilst someone is going through it, Whatever is going through, of course, is sliced right through.
History: A simple Human boy living a simple, Human life. Banto was the most average kid around, friendly and kind, middle class and very simple. Life just seemed so straight forward to him, and Banto's parents felt the same. The only thing that made Banto different from the other simpletons of his village was his beliefs towards Angels and Demons. Everyday, they were the talk going around. What they were up to, what trouble they were causing, what good they were doing, when they'd be seen. Banto at first, was so curious and intrigued. These creatures seemed so... worshipped by people, for good or bad, they were treated like deities. He wanted to meet one, but the day he did it set Banto's infamous opinion in the works. Wondering around near the village, he watched as a wounded Angel came crawling towards the village. Banto called for help, and adults of the village came skipping along to help in excitement. An Angel, a real one in their tiny, insignificant Village. Everyone treated the Angel like they were famous. All asking so many questions when their visitor was finally healed. When Banto got a chance to ask some things, he felt so disappointed. This Angel wasn't anything special. They had magic, but any Human could learn such a thing. In fact, the only difference they had over Humans was flight. They bled, died, and lived just as Humans did. So why did everyone consider them so insignificant compared to these guys? When asking the Angel for their opinion on Humans, they replied by saying they cared for them, thought Humans were interesting, and looked forward to seeing them get the chance to be Angels too. So that was it? Did the relationship between Angels, Demons and Humans run so differently? The races that Humans basically lived to talk about, only saw Humans as future parts of their race. Once the Angel had left, Banto, even only six, had the mood swing of a teenager. He yelled at his friends for thinking so naively about their flying 'friends' in the sky. He would say that their existence was nothing like what others thought of it, they existed pointlessly, parasites that couldn't even breed, and relied on the rot of Humans to keep their race surviving. Eventually, it meant no one would talk to Banto, the grumpy kid with such a mean view. Banto didn't care, if others wanted to remain like stupid livestock, then it was up to them.
One other boy who had a different view on things was Vadium. He'd always been an outsider, but because he was considered a little, weird by the other kids. Banto didn't want to be friends, but Vadium seemed interested in Banto. He saw him like an experiment he wanted to examine. And in exchange for listening to Vadium's strange hobbies and interests, Banto was able to vent his views about Humans being so naive. They both held different views, whilst Vadium didn't have as much hate as Banto did for Angels and Demons, his lack of opinion was enough for Banto to get along. Then all things collapsed as the Pandemic came in. There was no way the village would stand a chance. Banto's parents fell to easily, dying quite soon into the disease. Desperate to survive, the remaining adults split into different groups, heading off to the mountains near the village to hope the fresher air there would offer a cure. All in Banto's group fell ill much quicker than he did. And left alone in the mountains, giving into sickness himself, Banto was rescued by a Angel, living down in solitude in the Sohul mountains. She took Banto into care, trying to help the suffering boy. For a moment, Banto thought over what his previous opinion had been. Maybe he'd been wrong over some things, and that Demons or Angels could care outside of just seeing Humans in one way. And the sickness ended, for both of them the cure was a breath of new life. For a few years, Banto was able to grow up in the Angel's care, as the reign of bad Demons took over. It didn't bother them much, but something did bother Banto's friend. She said that she feared for her race, and wished that Banto could be an Angel too. Then, as the stress of her dying race got to her, the Angel asked Banto if he was willing to be killed, so that he could be an Angel like her. Banto was outraged. To think that a bond could only work between Angel and Angel. Did Humans dying only appeal to them? Wasn't there anything else in those not-so-special eyes that actually felt something? The Angel claimed to care, but Banto was having none of it. And with the disease gone, and being old enough to have a better chance of living alone, Banto left. Since then he's had only one view. Never trust an Angel or Demon. As nice as they seem, they care for one thing. Humans were their livestock, and the only reason for a Humans existence was to die and become one of them. So Banto was going to make a change, solo or with help. He tried attacking Demons, seeing the relationship between them and Humans being thin enough to have some allies to back him up. With barely any training using a sword, Banto tried attacking a group of the foul flyers. His so called allies, thugs gathered from the streets, abandoned Banto, leaving him as child's play. After being cut up and left for dead, Banto almost went and died, before seeing an old friend at a very fortunate moment. Vadium helped Banto out, patching his wounds up. From then on, the loop begins. Banto wakes to find that Vadium saved him, but offers a charge of services, even if Banto is an old friend. Banto is a poor and homeless idiot, and sees the only way to repay Vadium is to work for him and steal the money to stop the crazy doctor from pestering him about it. Stealing gets Banto in prison, or almost dead, and the cycle then repeats after he breaks out or Vadium bails him out. Right now though, Banto sees the loop as something necessary. After everything happening between Humans and the sky races, Banto can sense a possible change, and knows it only a matter of waiting around before a spark is started and fires begin to rage between the races.
