Art had assumed things would pick up when accepted to a side he finally felt was the right one. After giving up on hope in exchange for giving the others a chance to win, Art had been saved. His red rope was gone, cut by Chester who Art wanted to thank. But the reason he hadn't, linked to his current problem. Chester had ran off, along with others, because the one the clan cared for was lying to them. Art wasn't born during the Pandemic, so he couldn't hold a grudge like these people. And so Flood and his identity wasn't Art's issue. It was the one who had helped expose the man. Mujihi, just wandering into the clan like the witch belonged her. Art was hoping to see her gutted the moment she'd spoken, but instead, she was spared. And was still alive, even now. Art sat in the old, abandoned clan grounds, tucked up in a bundle as he stared at nothing in general. He was so full of fear, and hate. Everything that woman had done to him, all came flooding back to Art now that Mujihi was here in the Mun Clan. He shivered, trying to close his eyes and think of something good, and then realising he didn't have anything. His life didn't have a value now, even being free from the red rope. One other thing was that Art didn't know how his family were doing right now. Art couldn't leave the clan grounds, until he could be completely trusted, so whatever was going on for them the boy didn't know. Had Mujihi freed them yet? Was she even planning to? Perhaps she was still just plotting against them all, and Art was more doubtful of the woman than anyone else would be. Art sighed, head tucked into his arms as he tried to take his mind off of it. But without anything else to think about, Art was just left coming back to his fears over and over again.

Kakushin took a deep sigh, things around here were hotter than fighting the inferno five headed Dragon. It never calmed down, and a lot of the people Kaku held close were in distress right now. But Kaku himself, didn't know how to feel. He never really knew the kid who was once God of Disease, other than making sure he escaped that Ballroom years ago. But Kaku knew his loved ones well enough to know when something really hit them hard, and felt mad for them. He wasn't about to go and slap the poor ex-Demon, but Kakushin also wasn't going to just go and take Akvan's side in it all. Right now, Kaku was simply taking a walk, with Neko trying his hardest to follow by the Angel's side. It felt like forever since the pair had simply walked. "You know, one of us has tiny legs, it would be nice if you acknowledge them." Neko stated, and Kakushin looked back to find Neko struggling to catch up. He stopped, before lowering down to let the cat ride on his shoulders. "Getting old, Neko?" Kakushin jested, and Neko's whiskers flared. "You've no idea boy, I'm a seasoned fellow despite my remaining nine lives." Neko returned, before turning his gaze to look around them. Kakushin smiled to himself, it was weird that he hadn't realised how little he saw of the cat anymore. Since the Pandemic, things seem to thin out, Neko adopted himself almost as a full time doctor, going around to find patients. He spent a lot of time travelling alone, and for such a wise cat, Kaku never needed to worry, because Neko was the most cautious cat in the world. He was probably far older than Kakushin gave him credit for, and yet still managed to hang onto his full nine lives, something some cats half of Neko's age couldn't achieve. They began to tread into the old clan grounds, and Kakushin looked around, wondering what a place like the Mun clan was like back before the current leader's time. He was left to wonder about the old terrain, before spotting something with a much younger age to the ruins around him. The pair stopped to stare, whilst Art was hiding away in his own little world. It was hard to remember everyone in this group, but not many would have a hard time with this kid. The one to pretty much initiate the first fight, and the one to stop Dranar from falling and Sohul from dying. He deserved a lot more than to be alone and scared in this remote part of the clan. Kakushin walked forward slowly, standing close enough to Art to be seen and heard. "Art, right?" Kakushin said into the silence, "You alright?"

Art moved slightly to grab his blade, pointing it into the ground as he twirled it slowly. How many more strikes could he make with the deadly blade before it consumed him? Art could only guess that he had a few more cuts left with it before the Sun tear-infused blade killed him. He liked to think that perhaps he wouldn't have to use it again, now that he was here in a relatively friendly clan. But Art knew nothing but death, his entire life he'd been a killer, and as hard as he could try, the thought of having to kill at some point didn't disappear. Art already had targets he was considering. Mujihi and Exitium mostly, along with a few of his stronger Demon servants. He couldn't help but feel a little different about Demons after being saved by one, and the numerous kind Demons roaming around the clan. But Art would still go and slaughter Demons if he had the chance or strength. After seventeen years, Art couldn't easily be persuaded against loathing anything with Demonic blood. Sighing, Art didn't hear anything around him. Those voices from the clan behind him were nothing but mutters now, and Art wasn't concentrating on anything in general anyway. But then there was a crisper voice, much closer and impossible to ignore. Art raised his head slowly, looking up and down the Angel. He recognised the face, having seen it before, Kakushin Guardian of Peace. And someone Exitium had always mused over. This Angel, and the one called Rurushu, always sparked more attention than most out of the Demon King. Why, Art didn't know, or care, really. Call him mildly curious, but nothing mattered now, Art just wanted to be alone. Not wanting to seem weak, Art sheathed his blade and quickly got up, only just looked at Kaku. "Yeah, that's me. And I'm fine, just sick of being stuck around here." Art wasn't as aggressive to Angels, but the Iwa had a grudge against both sky beings. Angels less so these days, since Angels had their own problems, and hadn't done the clan any trouble for so long. But Exitium should have been thanked for that. All Art knew, was that right now, there wasn't one person around him that he could trust, not fully. Art rubbed his neck carefully, "I'm prisoned up here until you people trust me, whilst that bastard King could be doing anything to get his anger out on my clan."

For all Kaku knew, Art was just as easily going to attack as he would listen and reply. There were only two clans Demons and Angels knew they could tread in that wouldn't attack them. The Mun clan, and the Taiyo clan, the latter exclusively for Angels. The Iwa clan had been a no-go area for years, and was assumed to be barren and dead since the Pandemic. But when slaves of the Demon King with golden hair and high capabilities in Earth Magic suddenly appeared again, everyone was made well aware exactly how alive the Iwa clan was, and what situation they had themselves in. To enslave an entire clan just like that, Exitium must had considered himself impressive to pull off such a thing. Kaku thought it was despicable, but there wasn't much an Angel could do to help a clan completely enslaved by Demons with Dragons guarding it day and night. So Kakushin was left to remain curious about the clan, and could do nothing more. Art knew first hand of the Iwa's troubles, and was probably born right into slavery. So with all of that on his shoulders, Kakushin could hardly blame Art's defensive attitude. Smiling calmly, Kakushin listened to what Art had to say, lips pursed as he considered the boy's point. "I don't think it's because they don't trust you. Whilst perhaps Zuura doesn't know what to make of the sudden change, no one doubts your hatred to the Demon King, and that you wouldn't be tricking us to help him." Neko hopped down from Kaku's shoulders, looking up at Art. "I'd say you have more than a few bones to pick with the guy. He's done a lot, that slight wheeze you have suggests possible broken ribs, you've got bite marks over your arms, and a lot of burns." Neko stated, using his feline senses to help the analysis, like he'd trained himself to do for seventeen years. Kakushin smiled sympathetically, "Why haven't you got that treated yet? Broken ribs hurt, trust me, I know." Kaku asked carefully, before looking over towards the lit clan. "I know what it's like to be stuck somewhere being worried about others somewhere else, so I promise, any opportunity I get, I'll go to your clan and make sure everything's alright."

Note: Mujihi may have already removed the red ropes in the clan, but Art doesn't know this.
Art hoped that perhaps his deterring tone would make this Angel leave, but he and his cat friend weren't easily persuaded. But, Art's attention was drawn when they seemed to understand just how much Art wanted the Demon King gone, and was the reason why he was even bothering to stick around. And the cat, either he had some special ears, or was a good guesser, but it made Art hold his chest a little when the feline made his perfect analysis. Their concern was... new. Art never stuck around the main clan area long enough to get such concern from anyone, and he'd be damned if any Demon ever cared for the boy's well-being either. Art placed a hand on his neck, sighing as he didn't like giving into persuasion like this. But this guy, this Angel seemed good at talking the truth, as if he'd never told a lie in his life. "They kill, but it's nothing compared to what Mujihi and her damn red ropes are putting my Clan through right now." Art replied, wanting to make sure this conversation moved towards Art's family, he couldn't stand talking about his own issues for long. It felt selfish to do so. Art's eyes moved closer together, looking this guy up and down. Kakushin seemed sincere about it, and definitely looked capable to take on a scout out of the Iwa clan, seeing how he handled the Dragon attack in Paludem. Finally, Art got to his feet, slowly, no longer seeing reason to hide his injuries. "I'll keep you to that promise, if you prove you're sincere." Art rubbed his neck some more. "Mujihi, she's the one responsible for my clan's misery. If she goes, so do those hellish red ropes. Get her to remove them, by any means, and then... I suppose I'll go get help for the injuries, but only after I know they're safe."

Kakushin could see a lot of his younger self in this kid. Obviously, Art had been through so much more. Those moment of sorrow in Kakushin's past, were present in the whole of Art's life, and wouldn't leave the Iwa's system any time soon. All of that pain and caution was expressed in the need to protect his own, and Kakushin could commend the boy for that. Comparing his wounds as little compared to others, it made Kakushin chuckle a bit, it was almost exactly how Kakushin had put it when he was bedridden with his own wounds. So, if Art was going to act just as Kakushin once did, then the Angel knew how to handle this, having gone through it personally. Stepping forward a little when the injured Art got up, trying and failing to hide his pain, Kakushin tried to hide the worry on his face. "I'll bet, but I know they'll be safe." Kakushin said, before Art spoke his piece. It seemed confusing, but then Kaku realised that Art was hiding during everything that had happened earlier. He'd ran off from the crowd the moment Mujihi came along, out of fear or anguish or anything understandable from someone in Art's position. But it meant Art was clueless to what else transpired. Kakushin smiled, nodding his head, "Fair enough, I'll prove myself to you, but I can't prove it the way you want... because Mujihi has already done what you want." Letting it sink in, Kakushin knew Art wouldn't believe something like that from a Goddess he'd known so closely. Kaku sighed, "I understand it's hard, but Mujihi doesn't wish to harm anyone anymore, she's here to help. And I believe her when she says so.... It must be impossible to believe, I know. But what if... I take you to her, then you can hear it for yourself?" Neko glanced to Kaku, though he left this to the Angel. Kakushin knew Art might just attack the new ally the moment he got the chance, but just maybe, it might be able to persuade Art to trust someone at last. If Mujihi herself didn't prove so, then Art would have to be taken directly to his clan, however dangerous it might be.

Art's head remained down, weighted by worry. Just what kind of things were happening to his clan right now? Were they being tortured, was Torto the bastard Dragon tasting flesh? Art just couldn't imagine anything good, and would remain in this fearful state until someone proved to him otherwise. Art frowned, though refused to raise his head, when Kakushin agreed to the terms. But then he announced something different, that did make Art's head rise, a glare on his face. "And you'd believe that witch? All of you are fools for thinking she'd just help, just like that! You don't know what she's like! Mujihi would never prevent pain in others, she drenches herself in pain and suffering!" Art barked, clenching his fists together. No, Mujihi was beyond any forgiveness from Art. He'd kill himself, before giving that witch a second chance. But, Art was curious, which he kicked himself for. Did Mujihi do something? Art was happy to stand here and verbally abuse the woman, but if Kakushin was telling the truth and the Demon woman had changed, then perhaps the Angel should be believed. Art was eager to prove to Kaku that blindly trusting Mujihi was stupid, but that would come after facing her again. And having Kakushin there would help. Not just to be proven reliable, but also because Art knew he wouldn't be attacked by Mujihi with the powerful Angel hanging around. It meant Art could face his ex-torturer without shaking in fear, only in anger. Swallowing, Art sighed. "You're all fools for trying to see good in her... but fine... We'll go see her." Art concluded, not looking too happy about his decision however. Sighing again, Art turned to walk towards the clan without another word, though inside, Art did smile a bit. He was thankful, under his rough exterior, to Kakushin and his cat friend. No doubt Art would have hidden here until he was forced back into the central clan area, but with this Angel's help, maybe Art's plans would change. And if they could keep Art's clan safe, then the boy could rest even more at ease.
