Itami growled as Rurushu talked back, this being a side of him even she had never seen. Anger welling up inside as Rurushu tried to make it seem as everything was pinned on her with his betrayal. "You wanted this as much as I did, don't kid yourself that. And how does it feel, knowing your love is dying right before your eyes. While your dear beloved sister was tortured for betraying me and then stabbed to die a slow and painful death, without her brother their with her... Your a failure Rurushu." Itami ignored the jab at Exitium, knowing what ever he did was for a reason and most likely painful for the other... That, and he would be after revenge for defiling him, something Itami wouldn't mind watching. Smirking slightly as her sins attacked, she still got ready to fight, Rurushu was smart, and would know to go after her instead of the sins. So she wouldn't take any chances. Laughing as he cut down Wrath, just as she suspected, Itami blocked the incoming attack and smiled. "I know you far too well Rurushu..." She was annoyed as her sins seemed to have no affect on harming his body, and as she watched briefly as the wounds slowly recovered, Itami grasped the reason why... Anger taking hold over how Exitium thought it would be a good idea to turn this traitor... But she's got no time to be worrying about that, not while she was in the middle of such a feat. Swiping her claws at Rurushu, Itami knew that he knew her far too well as well, considering her focus was in on defence and attack, rather then her magi use, proved as Lust dissolved. "I have another trick up my sleeve..." Smirking slight, Itami raised her hand and watched as her sins formed together to create on large mist off all. "I would like to see you fight this..."

It physically hurt to know that Rurushu was going to go into this fight whether Kakushin had a say in it or not. Because this fight meant more the Ru than to just protect the dying Angel. He had been used by Itami for so long. His best and only friend turned into mortal enemy. Kakushin knew he couldn't get in the way of that. He once dedicated months on end to hunt down Itamu's killers just for revenge, and so knew he couldn't judge this fight. The Angel tried to move himself, but couldn't do anything other than lean his head slightly to the side, and keep his eyes open. What Rurushu said about Exitium, made Kakushin wonder of the horrors he'd expect a Demon like Exitium to put his love through. What kind of horrors was Ru forced to feel and witness at Exitium's hand? And did all of that make Rurushu stronger, like how the weak come back from a fight to defeat those who'd hurt them. Kakushin hoped so. He'd never had the chance to prove himself stronger, losing Rurushu once to his own weaknesses, and now being lost to him again. But if Rurushu could prove himself stronger in this battle, then that would make Kakushin glad to see, which is why he continued to watch and pray at each moment for Rurushu's success. Itami seemed ready for any kind of attack, and her sins were a menace to any opponent. But Rurushu did seem to have the upper hand, as Itami lost a sin whilst concentrating on her own defences. But that handicap was soon erased, as Kakushin watched the mammoth of a sin familiar being formed.

Rurushu ignored everything that came from Itami's mouth, knowing that she was saying it, no matter how truthful, to just get at Ru. Instead he focused on the fight at hand, ever so glad for these quicker healing abilities, without them, he was possibly already dead. Blocking any attack from Itami with his sword, Ru knew something big was about to transpire once Itami lost her first sin so soon... It was the type of thing Itami would be prepared for in a battle. But the transformation of the sins into one large being was something Rurushu didn't even know Itami could do, but he knew it was taking up most of her magic, and would be easy to break if he managed to distract Itami long enough, but even the look of the beast was enough to show Ru that hitting Itami would no longer be easy. Gripping hold of his sword tight, Ru focused his attention briefly on the beast, going straight into attacking, and blocking any attack that was aimed at him. Each swipe with the larger hands, and each attempt for the sins to take a hold of his mind for Itami's enjoyment. Ru would not let this beat him. But he knew to win this battle he would need a solid hit on Itami, and despite knowing that facing either would be a problem on the other end, Rurushu eventually came to the decision to focus on Itami, ignoring all, and any attack from the sins, despite the excruciating pain they caused.

Growling in annoyance and anger when Rurushu never took the bait, Itami focused all her attention into controlling her sins as a large beast, all magic and anger being forced into it. She smirked at every hit Rurushu received, a small cut here and crack of bones there, but each and every time he either recovered or blocked the attack and acted like nothing happened, that was until he focused his attention onto her again. Itami had never been great with hand to hand combat, always using her magic over anything else, so actually knowing Rurushu would use that against her was just as bad as a betrayal as anything else. Clawing at him, Itami managed to block off any attack, having dropped the larger beast into two, in a way to help her keep Rurushu distracted as he tried to end her. "Why Rurushu, we were friends... And yet, here we are, enemies... You wanted what I wanted once, revenge, chaos... And yet here we are.. What changed?" Fighting off the attacks was exhausting enough, but as she felt the sword rip through her chest, Itami reacted and sent her other clawed hand right through Rurushu's stomach, twisting and relishing in the pain he must be feeling. "If im going down, your coming with me..." Smirking slightly as Itami slowly pulled out her hand from his stomach, before stepping back from the sword sprouting from the chest, Itami just smiled, "Exitium is stronger then you think, and he will carry out this plan better then you will ever believe... Fear him, for you only have him and one other to fear anymore." And with those last words, Itami felt her eyes close, but she refused to show pain, and she made sure that when she took that last breath, it was with a smile, for she knew things weren't over yet.

A lot of things then happened, all too much to bare watching. But Kakushin knew he'd have to witness them, as well as knowing he'd probably not make it up to Aura anyway. He'd hoped that feeling the Aura air might give him enough strength to at least say goodbye, but Kaku believed he just have to accept that dying here would be his only option. Rurushu was still winning, even with the massive shadow attack him so many times, the kind of pain he must be going through was hidden as Kaku's Demon continued to attack Itami. Which earned it's beans a few moments later. Kakushin winced when Itami was stabbed. He knew that Rurushu wanted Itami dead more than anything, but they had been comrades for a long time. Too long for all of the feelings to be dissolved so easily. If Itami didn't feel any remorse in her last moments, Rurushu must do as he ended her. But that wasn't the only thing Kaku had to try and comprehend. His breath spiked once more, not because of his own pain, but because he could almost feel the hand rip through Rurushu's chest himself. Kakushin tried to say something, call out to his love or something, but all that came out were empty words. Even trying to move, or do anything other than witness Rurushu being so fatally wounded, nothing happened. Kakushin felt more waves of his own world of pain, and then another pain in his head, indicating the approach of something that would make their situation far worse than imaginable.

Exitium, throughout all of the pandemic, had been in pure bliss. Nothing could be the satisfaction of watching the weak die around him, without needed to batter an eyelash at them. He could run around, torture random people, rip them apart knowing they'd die either way. Exitium wanted people to suffer their weak existence, and this was the most perfect way to do it. He and Itami had spent a good few days wandering around together. Whilst he'd kept his secret experiments mostly secret from her, Exitium relished in hearing the new Itami had to give. He was so proud of his Queen's achievements, causing the death of the much hated Onrah, killing off the Akvan pest, making the traitor Chester suffer before death. And convincing Shinda to help them, something Exitium didn't really know the outcome of. All of these plans, forged together by her, were finally working. And very soon, they'd be holding the world of Demons in their hands, along with the rest of the world. Exitium mused about it as he flew around, watching the grey world beneath him with a smile. However, the smile faded when he saw a golden creature approach him. Chrysos, calling for her fathers attention from far off. His smile returned, knowing Chrysos liked to call her foster father over to lead him to Itami. It was fun finding his Queen on his own, but having Chrysos as a messenger made things easier. And made the girl feel more useful. Exitium flew close to his daughter, before hearing her news. "So, she's found the traitor and his little piece of trash, good. I was wondering where my pet ran off to." Exitium replied, before following the golden Dragon. He pictured what kind of mess he'd find Rurushu in. Perhaps in pieces, since Dracomancers were tough to kill with only a few simple wounds. And that pest of a Guardian, probably dying on his own, since the disease was so strong now. But no, Exitium didn't find what he wanted. For once, Exitium didn't get what he wanted. And this time it struck him with more than just anguish. Chrysos cried out, and that the first indication something was wrong. Seeing his masterpiece, his glorious work of art displayed with a sword through her chest, it hit Exitium. Something new inside of him, a pain he couldn't place. Widened eyes sparking with a red glow, Exitium landing hard behind Itami, catching her limp body. He was just in time to miss her last breath. This new pain in his chest felt like it was pulling Exitium to the ground, and he felt something drop from his eyes. Were they, tears? Small drops of water trickling down the side of Itami's face as Exitium just stared at her, expecting this all to be a part of her cunning plan. Exitium didn't speak, only shaking his head slowly. He ignore Rurushu and the other for a moment, freezing himself in time as he thought over everything. All of these new feelings needed to be catalogued before they went out of control. Finally, Exitium took a deep breath, running a hand through Itami's hair. He felt around her wounded chest. The crystal implant was still intact, good, Exitium would extract it later. Itami wouldn't have wanted that power they'd worked so hard for to go to waste. Exitium sniffed hard, violently rubbing the pathetic drops of water from his eyes. He refused to feel them there, it made him feel weak. Finally, his eyes focused on the wounded Rurushu. He was badly hurt, a last and cunning attempt by Itami, but Exitium knew it wouldn't finish off the Dracomancer alone. Carefully placing Itami on the ground, Exitium felt the earth around him shake, power almost leaking from his hands. "You... you made me feel a weakness... you, you pathetic insect... killed my Queen... you, beast, have done nothing but be the bane of my existence..." Exitium lifted his left arm, feeling magic just itching to release hell, "And now I'm going to obliterate you."

Rurushu couldn't say he didn't feel guilty once the sword pierced through Itami, she was his first friend, and they had been together for so long. But what he did, he knew it had to be done, she had taken revenge too far, and she had to be ended before she got her whole way. But that didn't stop him from shedding a few tears, and apologising profoundly for what he did to her, she was his friend after all. But he smiled slightly, despite the pain it caused him, at Itami's last attempt to win before she died, she always was a stubborn one until the end. Wincing as the hand, and arm, was extracted from his body, Rurushu moved back and covered the wound... If not for what he endured thanks to Exitium, Rurushu would have been dead by now from it. But his body was already working on healing up the wound, but he would be incapable to fight like this, not in this form. Which he knew was a problem once Exitium was seen... He wouldn't show mercy, on Ru nor Kaku, not this time round. And pared with how Rurushu escaped, meant Exitium would be fully ready to kill him. Getting ready to turn, knowing it would be his only chance, despite Kaku being there, Ru moved his gaze to Exitium. "She had to be destroyed... This has gone on for too long..." Attempting to turn, Ru realised that until he managed to heal a little more, he wouldn't be able to turn... And he knew that Exitium would do as best he could to kill Rurushu before then.

Kakushin couldn't believe Rurushu was still standing after that attack. Although a lot of things were going on inside Kaku's head, he wouldn't be surprised if this was all a pre-death dream. But for now, Kakushin took it for reality, seeing as Itami the sinful bitch was finally dead. Kakushin grimaced a bit. He felt partly for blame for Itami having to be killed. Rurushu was bound to do it eventually, but right now, Kakushin just felt like she'd died because he needed protecting. Exitium landing down was like a arrow through Kaku's heart. He knew this would be the end, the moment the Demon came down. Because no matter what, even if Itami was still alive, Exitium would be desperate to finish what he'd started on the docks. Kakushin thought back, remembering the shattering of bones that came from Exitium when the God was only mildly angry. Here, he was livid, and Kaku could easily imagine him proceeding to blow a hole through half of Sohul with his strike. All Kakushin could imagine was Rurushu being hit by that. Which was what fuelled his movement. The Angel found the will to move, knowing he'd never let Rurushu die, not after all the other pain he'd faced today. But, Kaku could only move his arm, the sickly thin limb hanging slightly in the air as Kakushin aimed weakly at Exitium. He'd need to act at the right moment, or else this last move would be for nothing. Kakushin took a deep breath, though at this point, that breath of air felt as thick as mud, and completely useless. But it would have to do. Light magic crackled from Kaku's weak hand, absorbing his last bit of magic energy, and gathering the rest from his life, Kakushin released a small and thin blast of light magic. On it's own, the magic would do nothing but slightly graze someone's skin. But when contacted with incredibly unstable destruction magic, the result was far more impressive. Knowing from his Guardian abilities, exactly when Exitium was to set off his explosion, Kakushin could strike at the right time, making sure his weak blast of light magic hit Exitium's hand just as he was about to release his own magic on Ru. The result meant the explosion Exitium planned to take place inside of Rurushu... instead took place in Exitium's hand.

Exitium would show no mercy to anyone, ever again. He was done having fun, he was done tormenting this world. He would no longer conflict pain alone, but make sure everyone who tried to deal with him died. Starting with these two. If Exitium's inner rage wasn't controlling all of his movements, he would have aimed for Kakushin first. Kill Rurushu's love in front of him, just like the monster had done to Exitium. But all the Demon God wanted right now was to rid his semi-perfect world of this pest. Exitium's hands shook with uncontrollable power, until he smirked maliciously, aiming his explosion at Rurushu's heart. Then, Exitium saw a flash of light, and a ear rupturing explosion. He'd smiled for a split second, assuming it was Rurushu being blown to bits. But then, Exitium lost all feeling on his left side. And then felt the heat and blistering pain of what had just happened. Somehow, Exitium had been caught at the right moment, and his explosion had backfired massively. It did not only just explode Exitium's hand into a thousand pieces, but it also smashed his lower arm, and most of his upper arm as well. Not to mention, his entire left side, from his lower face to hip, was coated in bubbling, burning flesh. Red blood dropped everywhere like paint, and Exitium shrivelled onto the ground, gripping his non-existent arm as he, the great and powerful Exitium, cried out in pain and anguish. When he finally stopped, Exitium's breathing was rough, and his eyes were pure red. He refused to just coil up in pain, without sharing it to these worthless pieces of existence. He tried lifting himself up on his one arm, only to collapse on the other side, blood creating a pool underneath him. Exitium was still snarling in pain, but he didn't have the blood or strength left to move. The only thing he could do, was lift his remaining arm, in another attempt to blow Rurushu to pieces. This time knowing the Angel couldn't counter it even if he wanted to, seeing as he wasn't breathing or acknowledging anything anymore.

Rurushu prepared himself for the incoming explosion, mentally apologising to everyone for what he did, for everything he had done. Knowing that once the explosion happened, Rurushu would be no more. But he didn't really care, it meant he would get to be with Kakushin forever more. And perhaps he would be able to finally have the freedom he always wanted. Closing his eyes, feeling his wounds heal, Rurushu took what he believed to be his last breath as he heard it take place. What Rurushu didn't expect was the flash of bright light, and no pain felt... At first he assumed he was in another place, but upon opening his eyes, he realised that Kakushin must have interfered, causing Exitium's attack to backfire on himself. Rushing over to Kaku as Exitium cried out, Rurushu checked to see if Kaku was still alive, he was, but barely. Letting a few tears fall, Ru turned back to look at Exitium, a fire in his eyes. Watching in slow motion as Exitium once again, despite his predicament, attempted to kill Ru, he summoned inside him, and turned just at the last second, taking the full impact of the blast upon his Dragon body, it was painful, more so then anything he had ever felt before, but it allowed Rurushu to remain alive. Crying out in a pained roar, the Dragon turned his attention to Exitium, fully intent on ending his life. Opening his large mouth, Rurushu got ready to fire at him the most painful and strongest of attacks he had ever had to make.

Chrysos didn't know what to think. Her mind had been forced into a simple state, where everything was either this or that. For example, she was taught by her foster parents, that they were stronger than anything else, and could never be defeated. And yet here she watched as that was proven false twice in a row. First, she'd collected her papa to watch the show, only to find Itami dead as the hands of another Dracomancer. Chrysos didn't know what to feel, and landed a little distance away to cry alone. She wanted to leave her father to mourn and kill the big meanies alone, and she didn't want to get in his way. After all, she'd failed to do what she'd been told. Look after mama, even though up until this point, Chrysos didn't think Itami needed much protecting. The girl turned into her Demon form, falling flat on the floor, waiting for her father to finish up and come and collect her. Who knew what he might do... all Chrysos knew was that her mama was dead, and her papa was probably going to hurt her for it. She expected Exitium would get over it all though, even if he hurt Chrysos, she didn't believe he'd hate her forever. Knowing that, Chrysos was prepared to return up to her father. But something urged her to go there with a bit more hast. First, the flash of white light and an explosion, then the impossible cry of Exitium in pain. Chrysos jumped into action, racing up towards the others, and turning into her Dragon form as she got there. Jumping in from behind the collapsed mess of her parents, Chrysos hung over them, swiftly preparing her own breath magic to contact with the black Dragon's breath. It wasn't a strong as the bigger Dragon's was, but it dulled down the damage enough for Chrysos' tough, plated scales to handle. Attacks dying down, Chrysos bared her teeth, standing off against this twice as big Dragon, holding only the need to help her papa in her mind. She sent Rurushu another blast of light magic, carefully wrapping her parents in either clawed hand. Exitium had lost the strength to move, and Itami was just a corpse, but Chrysos needed to take them somewhere safe either way. So she made a last threat at the black Dragon to stay away, before jumping into the sky to make an escape.

Ru wouldn't ever be gladder for the fact he had this power then he was just now. Even if he never got the chance to kill Exitium, it showed that the Demon was weak enough to destroy, and at this moment in time, that was the best bit of information to gain. He will admit to being disappointed about not ending Exitium, but Ru would feel bad to chase down the child who considered both Demons parents, she had just lost one, and almost lost the other thanks to him. Instead, Rurushu just blocked the weak attack, and turned back to Demon form, in pain might he add, as the golden Dragon left. Groaning in pain and landing on the ground next to Kaku, Ru didn't really have the strength to keep his eyes open, let alone get Kaku up to Aura for help... Not anymore. Crawling the little distance away, Rurushu wrapped an arm around his love. "Im sorry I couldn't keep my promises... I tried, I tried so hard to do so..." Letting a few tears fall, all Rurushu could do now was hope someone would save all the others... Because the Dracomancer knew that once Kaku was lost to him. He wouldn't have any reason to carry on.

After hearing the explosion, Kakushin felt himself being dragged down into his mind. It was enough to finish the Angel off, that he'd forced his last breath into that bit of magic, and he happily let his mind engulf him, believing Exitium had no hope of surviving with that kind of wound. Not alone as the sickening Demon was. It was amusing, for Kakushin's last thought, knowing that he'd gotten his revenge for Exitium treating him like a toy before. Trying to take Kakushin apart, forever handicapping the Angel. Well now, if by some evil miracle Exitium did live, he'd have hell trying to fix his position in power with only one arm. A good enough sacrifice, Kakushin thought, as he felt pressure build up in his head. He hadn't breathed in a few minutes, and it was helping him be dragged down towards death. Kakushin felt something close to him, knowing that voice to be Rurushu's. It put the Angel at ease, hearing his love still alive. Kakushin was ready to die there and then, to leave knowing for once, it was his dearest love that got to live for once. But something didn't allow Kakushin that leave. At the same time, the disease was already dissipating from existence, symptoms in all who were still living was disappearing, as someone somewhere had destroyed the cause of it all. As the curing wave passed over them, Kakushin's heart felt as if it was punching through his chest, jumping to life so suddenly. Kakushin's body forced itself to suck in air, pushing the pressure out of Kaku's head and lifting his whole body into life again. This all happened so fast, the energy flooding back into Kaku made him almost choke on the air. But finally, his chest stopped heaving, and relaxed to a steadier pace. It took a good few more minutes for everything else in Kakushin's body to wake up, until he could finally open his eyes, squinting in the daylight. He couldn't move his head, but could feel the warm around him, knowing it was Rurushu. "R...Rurushu?" Kakushin muttered, needing to clarify that he was indeed there next to him, after everything that happened.

Rurushu had long since closed his eyes in exhausted sleep, the events of today, and the multiple wounds he acquired and healed taking their toll on his body. But at the sound of Kaku's voice, Rurushu groaned and forced himself back awake, looking up at Kaku, Ru couldn't help but believe he was in the afterlife, being able to join his love so soon. But the weight of his body, and the pain that came with it, made him realise this was still life, still how it was before he slept. Smiling slightly, Ru forced himself to look up higher, relishing In how healthy Kaku looked all of a sudden, knowing someone managed to get to Akvan, or Shinda depending. "Hey, Kaku... Go back to sleep, I'll still be here in the morning, or night... I don't know." Reaching up to give Kaku a slight kiss, Ru rested his head on the others chest, letting himself drift to sleep through the sound of Kaku's beating heart, one that sounded better since the last time he checked. "I love you..."

Kakushin was a few breaths away from feeling bliss. The light-weight feeling of his body, finally having the heavy sickness removed from his system. Though he was still malnourished and weak, he was alive, and would be now that his heart had found the will to beat again. Kakushin felt himself radiate in warm, from his own body, as well as a very exhausted Demon latched around him. Even after everything they'd just been through, Kakushin thought like a moment like this was worth it. Both alive, both safe enough to simply sleep. And sleep was exactly what Kakushin planned on doing. Unguarded yet reassured sleep, knowing and feeling Rurushu there beside him, and hopefully for once not tormented or abusive. Kakushin hadn't had rest that precious since the last time Kakushin got to sleep next to Rurushu's side. His Demon was like a dream catcher, and as always, Kaku couldn't be more blessed to have him there by the Angel's side. Kakushin took a deep, satisfied breath, "Thank you, Rurushu." Was all Kakushin replied with, knowing all his gratitude was expressed into that one statement. Thanks for holding on this long, for helping Kaku, and for doing everything and anything in Kakushin's favour without asking otherwise. He was much more than Kaku deserved. Kakushin sighed, looking up at the blissfully blue sky, hoping the world was put through this kind of miracle as well. But all things would come tomorrow, or whenever Rurushu and Kaku decided to wake up. So Kakushin rested a hand near Rurushu's head, running carefully through his hair, and slowly closed his eyes to join his love in sleep.
