After his run in with Exitium, Ru kept to himself, not daring to venture anywhere close to civilisation afraid on what he would find. Instead he travelled mindlessly around the world, only retuning up to Dranar once Exitium called, and then he was back to where he left off once more. He still remained under the watchful eye of Ignis, the damn dragon doing good work of his job, as Ru constantly felt his eyes on him. But this was one of those rare, very rare moments that Rurushu walked a little ahead to sit down a wallow in self pity, with Ignis close enough by to catch Ru if he decided to try and run, but not enough to notice anything happening. Rurushu wasn't too far from Baransu, deciding to climb to the top of a cliff to look towards the Baransu tower. There was a small abandoned village below, one that had out done its time, but Ru paid no mind, instead he let his legs dangle over the side of the cliff and shoved his face into his hands, barely holding back a sob. He knew now, knew what had happened to people he cared for. Kaku was ill, and yet he remained helping others, he also still seemed injured, which Ru knew wouldn't help things. But he couldn't go and help, not without Kaku being put in more danger, and that was the last thing he wanted. Chester had been captured, probably dead right now knowing Itami... And that was Ru's fault for not getting her out of the plans, she wasn't even needed and now she was gone... And then there were the others like Akvan, how Ru wished he changed things before they got this bad. Rurushu finally let out his kept in tears, he had lost everything thanks to his carelessness, and now he was suffering the consequences... He didn't know just what to do with himself. |

Rex hated nothing more than feeling helpless, and with the new disease going about he felt nothing less. He watched as Angels and Humans alike turned or died or suffered, and without a cure, Rex was able to do nothing but offer words of comfort and hope for the future. He himself felt strained over all that was happening, and feared that the more strain he received the more likely he himself was going to get ill, leaving him helpless to help others, and that was the last thing he wanted. But Rex could feel when one needed the most help, and currently Rex was following those instincts in search for he who needed help. Though Rex had no idea where they were, the feeling he had sent him just on the outskirts of Baransu to the top of a cliff. At first he was wondering just why he was sent so far away from where everyone was, but seeing the distressed Demon sitting on the edge was enough to quench that curiosity, and made the Angel glad he was able to find them. When getting closer, Rex instantly recognised who the Demon was, Rurushu, Itami's right hand man in all this... Rex would have turned around, but the distressed aura he was letting off worried even Rex, and made him want to help out... The aura being one he often came across, the feeling off loss, and Rex knew how he must be feeling, having to deal with many cases before. Sitting beside Rurushu, Rex laid a comforting hand on the others shoulder, dropping his gaze as he felt the Demon shake at the intensity of his sobs. "When we lose something important to us, we find our body shutting down to help cope with the pain. But that very same pain helps us grow stronger, and find a way to make up for that loss, helps us to carry on... So tell me, what have you lost to make someone like yourself cry... And are you going to let it beat you, or are you going to get up and find a way to carry on how they would have wanted you to?" |

Ru froze once he felt the hand on his shoulder... Anyone near him was bound to be in danger, especially if Exitium or Ignis found out... Ru had caused too much suffering already, he did not wish to cause anymore. But the words of somewhat comfort was nice, and it really did make Ru think... Kakushin was bound to have gotten ill, perhaps dead, and Chester was in the clutches of Itami for some time... If both are gone, then Rurushu has nothing left, why not live and undo what he helped to create? Though, he knew it wasn't as easy as that. "I lost my sister and he who I loved, thanks to my foolishness in helping Itami..." Ru knew who the Angel was after he looked up, one often helping those Itami and himself had victimised, and he didn't know why he was telling the Angel any of this, but then again, it may just be his guilty conscience talking, wishing for help to make amends. "Im going to find her though, and im going to kill her before the bitch can do anymore damage..." It only took a few seconds for Ru to decide, but once he did, he knew there was no going back, even if it killed him... After all, Rurushu felt as if he would deserve that fate. "Why you all the way out here though? Cause trust me, if the dragon guarding me from doing anything else stupid gets a whiff of you being here... Your going to be dragon food..." It was a cheep shot at trying to get the Angel to leave, to go back to safety, but at the same time, Ru knew it probably wouldn't work... He himself was a mess, and it seemed this Angel was hell bent on helping others until things were better for them...

To say Rex was surprised would be an understatement, out of all the things he expected to be said, it was not Rurushu going off about how he was going to kill Itami. If anything he assumed he lost a couple of close Outlaws and was upset by it, but that obviously wasn't the case if he was talking about killing the very person he seemed to be closest to. But it also warmed Rex's heart a little, it made him feel as if he had hope for the future of the races, as such a confession meant that even those closest to she who created this mess didn't want this, and were willing to try and stop it. "If you don't mind me asking, who exactly did you lose? I can help better knowing. And if you do manage to kill Itami... Well, I'll be sure to help to get people trusting you again..." Sending a small smile Ru's way, Rex held out a hand for him to shake, "Im Rex by the way, and im here because your distress aura was tearing me at my very core, and you looked like you needed a friend. And I care not for some stupid dragon, I can take him... Im stronger than I look... And if you don't mind me asking, what did you do? Besides help her out..." To be honest, Rex was curious more than trying to help right now, things seemed far too mucked up, and different to what he imagined, so one couldn't really blame him for wondering about what was actually going down, considering most Angels and a few select Humans only knew part of the story, and not the full details, as of yet anyways.

Ru gave a half chuckle at the word of 'trust' it was something he doubted he would get for a long while, betraying all he cared for in some way, even if in the end the one he truly is about to betray, is the one many will be pleased he's doing so to. But still, despite that, Ru knew it would take grand gestures and many days to earn such a luxury. Under most circumstances, Ru would have backed away by now, feeling as if the other was asking too many questions, but it wasn't hard to tell that this person was asking to help, rather then out of just curiosity, even if that was their main objective... "My sister Chester, she grew up under the watchful eye of the Outlaws, manipulated to help in a way... And, don't condemn him for this, as he had no idea the extent of the Outlaw plans, Kakushin... Im sure both have been killed, Kakushin by the disease and Chester through torture." Turning to Rex, Ru have a sad smile, not finding it in himself to give a proper one. "Rurushu, but im sure you know that, from the way your speaking..." Shaking the hand back, Ru thought on how to explain things for a moment. "I betrayed the Outlaws and let who they were after get away... Though they still managed to get him. But because of that, Kakushin got injured trying to help me get away from Exitium, Itami's true right hand man... And in return, I gave my life to Exitium to save Kakushin that night, and yet I still lost him... Im now a slave to the bastard, under the watchful... Well mostly watchful eyes of his Dragon, Ignis..." Ru took a breath once he finished speaking, glad to get the confession of his chest... It also reminded him of a factor that needed to be known to the races. "Oh, Erm, what im about to tell you needs to be reported straight to either Tenshi or Mo, its very important and if one finds you have this information, then... Yano... You okay to hold that secret until you can let either one of those know..."
