Ikiru getting back up into Aura hadn't produced the best result. At first, an unconscious Ikiru was taken to one of the Temples, now cleared to house the sick. Kakushin had returned to help in Sohul, and had come back to some distressing news. Ikiru, whilst sleeping, had dropped his staff. With the source of pure magic away from him, nothing could stop the Kyuban blood taking over, and the Angel had woken up and gone mad... He'd killed two of the Angels resting in the temple, and had only been restrained after injuring two more. Kakushin didn't know if his heart could take a few more days, let alone if his brother was put down after going insane. Ikiru had been shown some mercy, though he'd been locked up in a distant area of Aura. Kakushin thought it had been a little cruel, but somewhere along the lines in the temple during the mayhem, Ikiru's staff had got lost. So until they could return it to the Kyuban, Kaku's new brother was to be kept on a chain.
Kakushin was told where the location was, and was nervous to go in. It was a long abandoned and never used unit perhaps once used to house captured Demons. Tough and hard to escape from, but was no empty apart from Ikiru. Kakushin shuddered as he walked, feeling pain everywhere. It was so hard to ignore his deathly condition when stress crushed itself down on Kakushin's shoulders so much. Gripping his chest, Kaku shook himself down, before looking towards what could only be described as a steel cage. It looked damaged and old, but also tough and durable, noticeable by the sheer quantity of bite and claw marks on the metal and stone surrounding it. Ikiru sat against a wall, legs out in front, and head dropped heavily. Kakushin knew he couldn't just act like nothing was wrong. He wasn't just allowed to come to support his brother, he needed to gather information on this new and very dangerous creature. "H-hey... there." Kakushin began, and Ikiru seemed to raise his head slightly. "Do you remember your name? O-or my name?" It was hard to tell how Kyuban's had their minds affected. Dove didn't even recognise Ikiru when she'd attacked him, only waking up once Kaku had inflicted pain on her. Kakushin hoped that wasn't the only method to calm down a Kyuban.

These foul Angels, trapping Ikiru down here. Why didn't they just give up to their fate? Let the Kyuban eat, and Ikiru was starving. He was a new Kyuban, a new soul eater, and he was dying to try something to eat. His desires had been served, when he'd woken up in a room of almost all unconscious Angels, the Kyuban had been able to feast on two Angels, before someone came to stop him. Ikiru felt insulted by their attempts to stop him from eating, until his desire for food abruptly ended, and the Angel had realized what he'd done. They'd been able to catch the wild Angel in his disbelief, and dragged him to this secluded area of Aura. Everything stunk here, and Ikiru could only sit and wallow in his loneliness. In a way, it was good. Here, Ikiru could be tempted to consume anyone, because they were too far away, and so he could mourn in peace. He closed his eyes, thinking to the lasting image of Dove. not her savage face before killing him, but the one she had every day before then. A sweet smile that breathed life into it's surroundings. Ikiru wiped his tears away, sniffing the air as he could smell something delicious approach. How stupid, who would come down here? Didn't they know what Ikiru was now, how he could hurt them. Ikiru dropped his head, not wanting to look at the visitor as he felt guilty for the hunger he now felt.
When he heard their voice, Ikiru felt even worse. He'd never forgive himself if he was forced to consume Kakushin of all people, someone who'd done so much for the Angel so far. Ikiru opened his mouth, finding it dry. Ikiru wasn't suffering from ills anymore, however, so he didn't struggle to talk like others. "I am Ikiru... you're Ka-ka, obviously." Ikiru said, faking a bright smile up to Kakushin as he looked to his brother with nothing in his mind but the rising desire to kill.

Ikiru's voice sounded intimidatingly normal. It was clean and healthy. But there was a new power behind that voice, something that made Kaku shiver as he spoke to his brother. Kakushin didn't know how Kyuban's felt, but could only assume the worst kind of mental pain. He'd seen them, the things they did when killing others. And then, like Dove, to wake up from that state. It must be horrible to lose control of oneself so easily, and being forced to hurt those one cared for. Kaku swallowed, trying to hide his discomfort at the blood red colour of Ikiru's eyes, and the bloody spots over his face and body. Kaku could tell a fake smile when he saw one, and simply returned an honestly sorry smile in return. It was obvious Ikiru was keeping up a feint, though he seemed to be fighting the desire to simply try and break out and kill Kakushin, he speech was simple, and felt forced. Kakushin sighed, "What about your full name, Ikiru?" Kakushin asked, knowing this would define whether Ikiru was still up in that Kyuban mind somewhere, so Kakushin could try and reach out to his little brother.

The Angel wasn't a dumb as Ikiru thought he was. For what Kakushin lacked in logic, he made up for in understanding people. Ikiru chuckled, but couldn't resist licking his lips. He must look like some sort of wild animal, dangerous and hungry. The kind of thing you'd keep behind bars for life, or hunt down and kill. Ikiru dropped his look to the ground, gritting his teeth as his stomach growling, and sweat dripped down his face. The urges were immense. Ikiru had consumed two people not a day ago, and yet here he was, desperate to consume his practically family. Kakushin's next question seemed to wake up the real Ikiru for a moment. And the Angel smiled truthfully. No one had ever asked Ikiru that question willingly, not when knowing what response they'd get. Ikiru didn't want to waste this chance, and knew no matter how far gone this Kyuban infection made him go, he'd never forget his full name. Clearing his throat, Ikiru began. "Ikiru Sonzai-Seikatsu-Yoi-Sutekina-Shiawasena-Saezuri-Shigoto-Watashinonamaeha-Hontoni-Nagaidesu-Sore-Dake-De-Itte-Iru-Bara-Wa-Akai-Sumire-Wa-Aodearu-Watashi-No-Namae-Wa-Nagaidesuga-Sore-Wa-Atarashi-Nanimonai-Suru." Ikiru replied, not even hesitating once. Afterwards, Ikiru chuckled with success, looking to Kakushin with a brow raised. "I'd never forget that." He added. Suddenly, Ikiru came to realize why Kakushin had asked to hear his full name, it was to prove that no matter the sickness eating Ikiru's mind, he was still himself. And, Kakushin didn't look as appetizing now that Ikiru had remembered himself. Ikiru smiled, "T-thank you, Ka-ka." He muttered, before getting himself comfy on the floor, legs crossed. They spent a few minutes in silence, before Ikiru had looked his sickly brother up and down a few good times. "What do you plan on doing now, Ka-ka?" Ikiru asked suddenly.

For once, Kakushin didn't mind listening to the monologue of a last name that Ikiru had. Because every new word made Ikiru slowly calm down, until finally his eyes were their usual, soft and friendly blue. Kakushin clapped his hands a little, chuckling to his brother. "I knew you could never forget yourself, Ikiru. And we'll make sure you get out of here, I promise... If..." Kakushin looked down, sitting on the ground as his legs gave up, "If I-I don't have time to help... then I'll make sure someone does." Kakushin knew he should stop talking as if they had a future. Ikiru was a lucky one, in some respect. He was healthy, and wasn't about to die like the other Angels. Not many Angels had died yet, but most of them were beyond the point of returning, sleeping endlessly as their bodies shut down. Kakushin would be the same, if he wasn't determined to remain conscious and moving. Kaku knew he could always ask Hane or a friendly Demon to try and help. And that made Kaku think of Rurushu. Was he still alive? Kakushin shivered when he thought of dying before even seeing again. Kakushin sighed, clutching his chest as it felt like a bomb was ticking inside of him, read to explode and kill the Angel any moment. It was hard, when someone was asked what they would do if they only had a short while left to live, did they know how hard it actually was to decide on what to dedicate their last moments to. Ikiru asked Kakushin what he planned on doing now, and Kakushin shook himself out of his sad state. "I'm going to look after you, of course."

It was nice that Ikiru was himself again, but it wouldn't last long. The hunger would return again and again, and Kakushin despite his best efforts wasn't going to live through that. So, Ikiru thought to himself, why condemn the man to spend his last moments trying to cure something that couldn't be cured. Ikiru looked at his hands, so sharp and deadly now. He hated that he'd become something so dangerous. Ikiru was hoping he'd be able to live his life passively, but he'd already spilt blood, and there was no going back from that. Perhaps he'd be outlawed, or kept hidden away for the safety of everyone else. Ikiru didn't mind anymore. He'd got what he could from life, and was happy to live or die, since that was the Ikiru way of living. But Kakushin, he still had things he needed to do, Ikiru could tell. And his brother would get none of those things done waiting for death whilst trying to help someone who didn't need help. Sighing, Ikiru slowly got up, shuffling as close as his chains allowed him to go. "Nope, wrong answer." Ikiru replied, smiling brightly to his selfless brother. Ikiru slumped to the ground, pointing at Kakushin. "You're going to go and find him... the one you've been so desperate to find, and you are going to say what you've been wanting to say. Don't try and hide your pain Ka-ka... let's face it... you're a wreck, and I doubt you'll last another day. So why spend your last sun sitting around, regretting that you didn't try to find him?... think for yourself for once, you big silly idiot." Ikiru stated, stretching his arms out with a happy sigh. "No more worrying about me, I'll be fine, so will Neko and all of your other friends. Believe in us to take care of ourselves, and look after yourself for a change." Ikiru said. He leaned back, ready to fall onto the questionably comfy rock floor and sleep his life away. It took a few minutes for Ikiru to lift his head, frowning to Kakushin. "You still here? Go Ka-ka... and thanks for everything, brother." Ikiru finalised, hold what could be his last look to Kakushin. Who knew if they'd meet again.

Kakushin frowned when Ikiru refused his offer to help, the Angel hadn't expected that. But he soon learnt why, and could have blushed if he had the energy to. Ikiru obviously knew about Rurushu, even if he didn't know directly who it was, Ikiru was the kind of guy who could read minds without actually having an official power to do so. Kaku held onto his shirt with one arm, naturally placing it there now that the pain in his chest was almost constant, only spamming out in acute moments every now and then. He hadn't had an official attack since his last visit to Sohul, but Kakushin could tell he was reaching his last leg on how many he could take before it killed him. His broken bones from Exitium's attack, although healed, were beginning to ache again, and his breathing had moments of catching up on itself. Kakushin felt the tears fill his eyes, how a kind person like Ikiru didn't deserve this kind of fate. To be stuck down here, perhaps forever, as everyone in Aura died, and none were left to even visit him, let alone save him. Taking a deep breath, Kakushin rose unsteadily to his feet. "No, thank you Ikiru... I never thought of you as a brother before, but now, I can't be more happy to call you family. I-if we never meet again, thank you for pushing me through all of this. Whatever I find, I would have never been able to find if it wasn't for you, so thank you most of all." Kakushin wobbled a bit as his weak legs pulled him forwards, turning back to look at Ikiru, blessing the poor Kyuban to a merciful fate. Sighing, Kakushin rubbed his eyes dry, and headed out. He'd only had the time to look once, and going down to the deathly air of Sohul would mean that Kakushin might never return to Aura. Funny, for years he'd never even thought twice about this place. But now, it was a home full of friends and family Kakushin didn't have the words to thank enough. He swallowed hard. Once down there, he'd have to hope and pray on one place, and trust in the luck that had pushed Rurushu and himself together so many times before. Kakushin dropped from the clouds, soaring down below on his decaying wings for a last flight. If it was to be Kakushin last place to land, then he knew where he wanted to go, a place that meant the most to him, smothered in the greatest memories of the two people Kakushin's heart had managed to fall for.
