Aisu knew it was soon his time, far too early for his liking, but with this disease going around and how quickly the Nix member got ill, Aisu knew he wouldn't make it without a cure, one in which he doubted even existed. Aisu was currently lying on his back on the deck of his ship, if he was going to die, then so be it, at least he would be where he was most comfortable, his breaths were laboured and his vision was getting blurrier by the second... But he refused to let whatever was wrong with him beat the Nix before he got to say a few last words to a friend of his... Though, he wasn't sure the other would find him before Aisu let this disease take hold, hell, Aisu wasn't even sure if Kasai was alive, so many had already died, and against his better judgement, Aisu actually became ill in the first place helping Angels get people into Shiro in a hope to help... Such a contradiction to the life he lead, at least it meant he got chance to see Nanari before finally resting and waiting. With a struggle, Aisu stood and headed over on wobbly legs to look over the side of his ship, hoping to see a familiar dragon ship near.

Kasai had fought this illness with more conviction than any Demon. The Yaku Dragon was constantly set on fire to kill pathogens, and yet, Kasai had still gotten sick. Why? In the best way, if one could get ill in the best way. Kasai had gone to the poorest towns, landing in the streets and offering warmth from his ship and from his magic to anyone living nearby, to ward away the cold. In fact, Kasai had done so for so long and so many times, that he felt dry beyond the sickness. He didn't have any magic left to give, which in the end made him easily defenceless to the disease. Making his last trip, Kasai was glad the Yaku Dragon ran on an independent energy source than his magic. Kasai wanted to make sure it was somewhere safe where it could sleep undisturbed. She'd done well, and Kasai didn't want the ship falling into non-Yaku hands. It had seemed like forever since Kasai remembered his last good breath. He was exhausted, and no breath he took in was right. His lungs were full of fluid, so he might as well be breathing in water. Coughing, the Yaku headed further up, where the clouds were colder, but where a certain Nix preferred to hang out. Kasai looked up, spotting the ugly Nix ship above, and clutching his scarf tight as he brought his ship into a sharp cut upwards, almost slicing Aisu's ship in two as it drew next to the ice ship. Kasai's smile was weak, but he was kinda glad to see the ice princess still alive, even though he looked ready to go. Kasai wobbled over to the edge of his ship, "Yo....you don't look... good... Yyaz yyngl."

Aisu gripped the side of his ship tightly as possible when Kasai turned up, though he didn't have the heart to shout at him for almost slicing him in two. Balancing himself, Aisu gave a small smile towards Kasai, it seemed his friend was just as ill. "Ọbara na-ekpo ọkụ isi... Your one to talk idiot... You look like death is dragging your soul from your very body..." Chuckling slightly, Aisu let himself drop to the deck for a second, legs too weak to hold him up, he refused to leave his human life acting as if he was in pain and too weak to carry on, and so he summoned his strength to once again stand, making sure to rest his body on the side. "Any regrets your leaving behind? Or anything you want to say that you may not get a chance to say after we go?" Aisu only had two things he regretted, but they were ones he could live with, and wont mind taking to his grave. "Cause you know, now would be the time to say it... Friend." It was pitiful really, how the two of them were leaving this life, died from a deadly, incurable disease, rather then in a bloody battle between the other races... Some life, but hey, no need to dwell on it now it was too late, Aisu would rather spend his last moments talking to his best friend and rival, in a way neither would probably ever wish to speak under different circumstances.

Kasai huffed, but couldn't find the will to argue with Aisu. After all, he was right. They both looked desperate to kick the bucket. But Kasai knew Aisu too well, and vice versa, neither hunters were going out just yet, they needed to make the most of whatever energy they had left. Kasai couldn't help but be concerned as Aisu fell back, hoping his friend hadn't died already. Call him a coward or cheesy, but he wanted the pair to die at similar times, just so one didn't have to just sit and wait for death. Waiting was the for the weak, dying with a friend was much preferred. Kasai was visibly sweating, a trait Yaku's shouldn't have, being around fire. But he was burning up with fevers, not to mention not being able to breath. But Kasai had to talk anyway, if the Nix could still do it, then Kasai wasn't going to play the mute idiot in their deaths. Kasai smiled a little, slowly slipping down the side of his ship, arms giving up. "Yeah.... a few." The Yaku said, listening to Aisu say his piece, before huffing some more. "I wish we... coulda.. killed that damn Demon... for a start. An' I wanted... to visit... the Yaku clan... again... try and find somethin'... to build to remember it.. you know? With us gone... there won't be... a... trace of anythin'... left." Kasai said, before falling to a coughing fit that only ended when he throw up what looked like a piece of lung out. It was a build up of blood, mucus and other things, but was proof that the Yaku wasn't going to last a few more hours at best. Kasai looked away from the Nix for a bit, "And.... I guess I wanted... to help you too... build Nix back up... kill off those... flying bastards... repay you for... the drink... and I suppose... consider you a friend... a partner to the Yaku." Kasai said finally, smiling weakly. He then chuckled a little, "And kill... that damn... Dragon." He muttered under his slowly dying breath.

Aisu gave a small chuckle. He didn't want to seem weak, but he felt tears prickling at his eyes, if Kasai asked he would blame the disease that has taken hold of him, but Aisu knew it was because they knew their end was near. Using the strength he had left, Aisu made his way on board the Yaku ship, everything he wanted on him when he died Aisu had already collected, and he knew staying on his own ship would just remind that the last Nix was about to die. Sitting next to Kasai, Aisu gave a light punch to his shoulder. "Somewhere in the back of our minds we'll know who's blood we want. Promise, someday we'll get him..." Leaning his head back, Aisu gripped his hands tight as he felt another spasm attack hit, small and barely noticeable, but as much pain as a large one would have, slightly groaning, Aisu forced a smile. "I wanted to build my own memorial for the Nix, it seems like just yesterday that they died... And I wanted to visit your own clan home, see what our eternal rivals clan looked like..." Smiling slightly, Aisu thought back to the few moments he had with Nanari, and how she seemed to learn so much in that short time. "I have a friend, wanted to know about our clans... She'll remember us, hell im sure she was planning a trip to visit the old clan bases..." Aisu cringed as he watched Kasai cough his lungs out... This was not how he wished to remember his friend. "Thanks... And hell, I think in the time we have known each other we have come to have a strange rivalry brotherly relationship, I wouldn't change that for my life..." Turning slightly towards Kasai once he spoke again, Aisu couldn't help but question him.. "What damn dragon?"

Kasai was too stubborn to cry, leaving that to the weaker Nix member, but inside he was hurting more than just by the disease. He was pained by the idea of dying, perhaps everyone felt this fear when it was so close. Having their life end, memories turn into nothing but dust along with their bodies. Everyone died this way, and yet Kasai didn't want to end it all this way. He had those things he wanted to do, and people he wanted to meet. Kasai looked up as Aisu joined him on the Dragon Ship, smiling slightly, obviously the princess had finally realised whose ship was superior, and therefore a better place to die. Huffing to himself, as laughing wasn't even possible anymore, Kasai kicked Aisu gently in return, neither with the power for anything more. "I just wanted.... to see... his ugly face... again... so I could... burn it off." Kasai muttered in return, feeling blood dribble down his mouth. Aisu seemed to be suffering for a moment, and Kasai waited, trying to search for a breath that wasn't there to find. "Ha... well... you are missin'... a sight... my only hope... is that perhaps... the others that.... survived Yaku's fall... rebuilt somethin' there.... new clan or not." Kasai was honestly happy to hear there was someone out there that the Nix had told about them, but was kinda jealous that Aisu had a friend. Something Kasai could never make, because he refused company due to his competitive nature in everything he did. Aisu had been the only one to 'put up with' Kasai's temper, and so was the Yaku's only friend. "Never... had a brother... before... only cousins... s-sounds... nice." Kasai replied, hacking and coughing away from Aisu, until he'd freed his throat from another clog up of blood. Kasai groaned as Aisu brought up the Dragon. "Yeah.... a big ass Dragon... attacked me... not long ago... she was... weird. Like... she could be... both Demon and Dragon... D..Dracomancer, I think she said." Kasai swallowed, feeling his voice fading off more and more. "Kept... treatin' me... like a toy... tossin' me around the sky... but then she... listen to me about... the Yaku and Nix clan... an odd choice... but perhaps she'll... remember us too."

Aisu let out a broken half sob and half chuckle, Kasai remains stubborn till the end, it was something Aisu was pleased about, the fact he didn't watch as his friend died acting different... Hell, even Aisu was acting a little different, showing weakness, but that may only be because he was too weak to keep up the defences, especially since he could feel his heart clench up painfully quite often. Reaching a hand up and Kasai began to cough, Aisu rested it upon the others shoulder, in a hope to offer some comfort, no matter how small, the Nix member was through holding up a front, and would spend his last moments acting like a friend to Kasai, rather than a rival. "Im sure she will... And hey, we'll be growing up as Demons together, along with everyone else... And if she really is both, then maybe she'll find you..." Aisu chuckled weakly, he didn't want to forget this life, his past or the friends he made, but he knew he would have to, just like how he knew finding the truth from someone else would probably make him question if they were lying or not... At least with Kasai meeting this Dracomancer meant he had someone who knew him and his story... "But you know, her treating you like a toy is funny... I would a though a hot head like you would get along with your brethren..." Aisu sent an amused smirk towards Kasai, if he was going to die, he was going to go with a smile, and he sure as hell was going to make sure Kasai went with one too... Or arguing with him, because that's just as fun to do.

The idea of growing up alongside Aisu was received with mix feelings. Kasai knew they'd not remember their past relationship as rivals, but their personalities would remain the same. Which meant a lifetime stuck next to the cry baby. Chrysos, she said her name was, really was an interesting creature. Kasai wasn't too sure he even wanted to kill her. After throwing him around, she turned out to be alright, if a little insane. So it was comforting to think she might be around in the Demon life Kasai and Aisu had yet to face. Kasai cleared his throat as best he could, giving a smile to the Nix, "I've.... no doubt... she'll find us... the D-dragon said she... never loses... her toys." Kasai replied, staring off forwards into nothing. Kasai frowned at Aisu's next reply, he would have reacted more if he could. "The... hell's that... mean... I-ice boy?... It freakin' hurt... I'd... like to... see you be thrown... around... pop-sickle." Kasai muttered, spluttering forwards unintentionally. Kasai held onto his stomach, sweat and blood dripping down his face. God he looked like a wreck, and hated that he couldn't die in a noble way... like spontaneously combusting into flames. Sighing, Kasai leaned back, looking to the dying Aisu, before smiling weakly. "D-don't... know... how much.. of this damn... stuff I can... take.. pal... s-sorry."

Aisu outright laughed before clutching his chest as another attack hit him, Aisu knew he wouldn't last long either, so at least he wouldn't be alone for much longer if Kasai decided to go first. "I've been thrown around... By a certain fire wielding hot headed brother... Yes that was a compliment to your fighting ability, and no, I wont say it again..." Resting all his weight against that side of the ship, Aisu smiled. "I wont be far behind you... But hell, if im going, im going with a smile..." And to prove his point, Aisu gave off the biggest smile he had ever had... Smiling for everything he knew and everything he has, for the life he lived, that was before he dropped the smile and turned serious for a moment. "Want me to put you out of your misery, god knows if your in as much pain as I am..." Aisu didn't want to do such a thing, just like how he believed Kasai would probably try to shout at him for even saying that... But he felt as if he had to offer, even if he knew the likelihood of it happening was equivalent to them surviving this...

Kasai raised a brow. The Nix didn't compliment much, nor did Yaku's. But Aisu was all about going to death with a smile, so Kasai was more than happy to accept the compliment quietly. Kasai's eyes closed for a moment, finding the lack of seeing anything kind comforting, if Kasai was going to die in a minute anyway. Kasai sighed, the only way to breath out normally, glancing to Aisu's un-natural smile. It looked weird on the cry baby ice princess, but was contagious. Kasai grinned back, typical Yaku style grin with teeth and ego written all over. He kinda felt better with a smile. Made things didn't seem liked they'd end just like that. Life was too weird to just disappear, and that was evident enough when Humans were reborn. Sure, they'd lose all trace of their Human lives, their memories and feelings... but Kasai and Aisu would still be themselves, wouldn't they? The kind of future they'd face, Kasai wasn't even dreading the idea of having Aisu as a brother. Kasai glared at Aisu at the idea of ending him. Although, he felt a sense of respect. The Nix was happy to suffer in this world alone for a few more minutes just to give Kasai a head start. Huffing, Kasai looked away. "Nope... I ain't going... to die... from a Nix... w-worst kind of...death." Kasai replied, smiling a little. Looking to the sky, Kasai closed his eyes, knowing he probably wouldn't open them again. "Pyyʻr ʼyn lʻbn... ʼwn ʼyn p̄yyaʻr myr... ẕwryqqwmʻn." Kasai muttered in his Yaku tongue, a phrase used before death to honour the Yaku purpose. Although in this case, in a way, Kasai spoke it for himself and for Aisu.

Exitium was so proud of Itami's work. He himself had been awfully busy with his own plans, travelling all over Sohul in search of two new pets, as well as scouting out with Rurushu for the correct children to claim as the next Dracomancers. The ones that the reluctant if cunning Demon had pointed out, were perfect. Due to strength, and their type of magic compared to the two Dragon crystals Exitium had already prepared. The Demon God had been following them for a few days, watching the pathetic pair try and help people escape the disease that trapped them in death's grasp. Until they themselves were about to give into eternal sleep. Exitium was happy to let them talk for a bit, occupying himself with watching the burning world below. The sickness was strong enough for even a Demon to smell, which just went to show how powerful it was. Every new death made Exitium hungry to see more, and reminded him of his Queen and her magnificent work going towards their new world. The two hunters were so far gone that Exitium could hover just above them in the clouds without worrying about being spotted.
He grinned as they mentioned two clans, ones Exitium didn't recognise by name, but could probably recollect destroying at some point for entertainment. Chuckling to himself as they spoke some more, Exitium was growing tired. He couldn't feel any life left in their speech, but knew that these two stubborn Humans were the type to cling onto life. A good trait to have later on when serving Exitium, but right now it was just bothersome. Sighing, Exitium decided to cut things abruptly short. He dropped his wings, landing on the red ship and smiling to the Angel and Demon Hunters. "Sorry boys..." Exitium purred, "But I have to cut things short." The Demon God held two hands forwards, aiming at the Human's hearts. There wasn't much in terms of work left to do to them, but in one swift flick, Exitium crushed their weak little life sources, letting them die almost immediately. Chuckling to himself, Exitium rubbed his hands across one another. "Sleep well my children... for you are both important tools in my plan. And there are two finely made crystals I must put to use." The Demon looked at each body, before going to leave. Perhaps Chrysos would come by soon, or some other creature, and put the dead meat to good use. Either way, Exitium had to go greet two very special Demons. Winking to the bodies, Exitium lifted his wings, taking off leisurely towards Dranar.
