Things had changed dramatically everywhere. In less than a day, the worlds were surrounded in dark and impure chaos. Death was clotting up peoples wills to live, and everyone was suffering. Angels were told to remain in Aura, only to go to Sohul for less than a day, and for a very good reason. For it seemed even the spiritual beings weren't safe from this new pandemic. Ikiru and other Angels could only watch the disarray of life down in Sohul. Panic spread, and people were dying as quickly as they were being infected. No one knew what to do, and no doctor could see sense of what was going on. Fear turned quickly into violence, and those desperate to live and eat were killing each other in the street for scraps. People became disillusion by their dreadful illness, going rampant in the streets of once peaceful Human cities. Fire and death spread. And Angels could do nothing to stop the madness. Ikiru was, for the first time in his Angelic life, in panic and distress. Of all Angels, only a few brace Guardians dared to go down to Sohul to try and heal the toppling peace. Dove was one of them, still trying to bring life to the decaying world below. But, for a few days, the Guardians had returned, and Dove had not been one of them. Ikiru had asked around, but no one had any information on the matter.
And so, Ikiru had dared to go down to Sohul alone to look for his sister. He clutched his golden, wooden staff tightly, remembering the time Dove had once given it to him. Ikiru coughed a little, finding it hard to focus. He himself was sick, infected by fever and nausea. But the purer air in Aura made the sick Angels in far better conditions than Humans stuck in the sickly thick Sohul air. Ikiru could feel what kind of atmosphere Humans were stuck in, as he left Aura and dove into the fog of disease that covered Sohul. Swallowing hard, Ikiru landed in Baransu. Once a lively city for adventurers to travel through and people to make their fortune. Now it was a ghost town... apart from the dad bodies littering the streets. Those who were too old or young to survive the pandemic for long, had already tasted death. Ikiru shivered, before turning to check the outskirts of Baransu first. He travelled slowly, barely able to keep his balance in his nauseous state. Finally reaching some of the farmlands used for resources, Ikiru was quick to scout the area. Almost ready to move off, a scream pierced the silence, and Ikiru turned to look up to a farmhouse. What he saw made him almost sick.
Dove was holding a Human woman above her by the neck. The woman whimpered, before Ikiru's sister stabbed her in the chest with her bare hand. In a few seconds, the Human was sucked dry, until her body exploded into a red mist, only to absorbed by Dove.
Ikiru couldn't believe what he was seeing, and froze in place when Dove turned to look at him with her dead, red eyes. By the time Ikiru had taken one step back, Dove was already right in front of him, able to move with incredible speed. Her face was pale and dead, only covered by blotches of red blood that wasn't her own. She took one look at the terrified Ikiru, before moving closer.
"S-sister! I-it's me, Ikiru! D-don't you... recognise me?" Ikiru stuttered. Dove seemed to growl softly, like a crazed animal, before in one swift movement, she shoved her blade like nails into Ikiru's chest. In those few seconds, Ikiru felt as if he'd been sucked dry, and his body felt like it was shrinking down into nothing. He looked desperately for a sign of his sister in Dove's dead eyes, before a bright light came between them, and Ikiru fell to the ground, still intact but gravely injured.
