Notes: Unmei no yama Mountain of Fate, the resting place of the heartbroken brothers, and soon to be Akvan's hide-away home. Makeru had kept the trip rather awkward, from the dark night they set off, to the sunny day they were currently in. He would stare back and forth between the two Demons, expecting one to start a conversation, but flat out refusing to talk himself. Sometimes Mak would look down, wonder why he was even here helping two Demons he didn't even know. But he did sort of know Gensho, and considered the happy Demon a friend. And, thinking back to when he first heard the Outlaws plan, he knew he couldn't agree to it. Because families would die, brothers would lose sisters, and Makeru wouldn't be able to accept being a part of that. So, he had been a spy, a firework ready to go off deep in the Outlaws and their plans. While he regretted not trying to get Rurushu to follow him in deceiving the group, since he considered the second in command the closest thing to a friend, Makeru didn't feel bad for stunning his hide to get away. But he also didn't consider what kind of package he was letting on his boat. Whilst Gensho was simple, polite company, his brother was not. Obviously this Akvan had something wrong with his head, he'd jump from crying and hating himself to swearing and trying to attack Mak. The only what to solve the issue was to tie the Demon up, leave him in a corner with a safe distance between them. Gensho had told Makeru that Akvan wasn't all himself, and that there was also this Shinda person messing with control of his body. Freaky stuff was freaky, Makeru was able to conclude, but knowing that Akvan's aggressive moments were due to a split-personality didn't make the ex-Angel trust the Demon anymore than usual. They were keeping a time bomb on their ship, even Gensho was able to agree to that, and so he sheepishly gave Mak permission to stun Akvan should Shinda get out of control. They were near their destination now, and Makeru was trying to keep his mind focused on controlling the ship than the back and forth, mourning to yelling Demon brothers he was currently looking after on the deck.

Note: I hope you get what the mountains represent, or no cookie for you.
It was with a weak smile that Akvan let the saddened Gensho tie him up, and remove his sword, knowing he would have it no other way. They couldn't control Shinda anymore, for Akvan didn't have even a ray of hope to try and keep him away. He would hiccup back and forth from control, and always woke up from a takeover only to make himself sad enough to bring Shinda back. Akvan didn't know how long he could take it until he could no longer come back from a takeover. He stared at the golden wood of the deck, shuddering and whimpering as he kept thinking about what they'd just lost. Every now and then, Akvan would look back, watching the diminishing form of Baransu disappear, and along with it, getting further and further away from Onrah.
Akvan's stomach would growl, and even the thought of food brought him back to thinking about his brother. Gensho would sit, trying his hardest to hold back tears because he didn't want to trigger Akvan to be any worse, and wanted to seem like the strong, supportive one. But Akvan would tell he was suffering, probably in just as much hell as Akvan was, losing one brother and having to watch as the other one slowly went mad. Swallowing down his urge to cry again, Akvan instead looked up at Makeru, who at that moment was glancing down at the Demon, a look of caution and pity on his face. The Angel quickly turned his sights onto the horizon, and Akvan turned to look with him. The mountain they were heading to was surround by a vast field. Grass still hanging on through the winter cold rested like fur over the hills, going sticky and dark near the small, flowing stream that bordered the area. The mountain itself looked at though it had once been glorious, a titan of a rocky tower that once marked the land. But now, it looked as though a huge hole had been ripped right through it, separating it into three rocky monuments. Akvan blinked, struggling to his feet with his hands tied behind his back, before walking to the front of the ship, eyes wide to what it looked like. The three main mountains... One was tall, imposing, but had a bright vibe to it. The medium on was coated in vegetation, winter flowers refusing to wither covered its surface in a beautiful radiation. And then the smaller one, hiding back behind the two bigger hills, bumpy and underdeveloped. It was neither bright or beautiful, but seemed to fit perfectly between the other mountains surrounding it. Akvan huffed, smiling slightly as he fell back, sitting near the tip of the ship to truly take in their location. Did Makeru know what these mountains now symbolised to Akvan, and Gensho? The Demon didn't know, but he felt grateful for being here.
Makeru seemed to pull the ship to a lower position in the green-land sloping up to the tallest mountain, following it close to the ground until they entered a cave system in the belly of the mountain. Akvan looked around as they entered the dark caves, before his eyelids shivered and closed. He could imagine what kind of stupid joke Onrah would make if he was here, try to scare Akvan in the dark, or claim the bigger mountain as his, and demand payment in food for entry. He would talk about the higher things, say how grateful he was for a place like this serene mountainside to still exist in their world. And then he'd put a hand around Akvan's shoulder, reassure the unsure Demon that in his future, everywhere would be this peaceful and symbolic. He'd then complain that he was hungry, and expect a five class meal to come running to his feet.

The night had been pretty painful for Gensho, but he couldn't show too much. It was already enough for Makeru to be stuck helping two Demons with one mourning and going crazy, but two saddened Demons would be pretty annoying. And Gensho knew what Makeru was like, he didn't complain about anyone to their faces, and tried to accept everyone even if it was with an indifferent glare, but even he had a limit. Gensho smiled when Makeru walked off to concentrate on moving the ship, and turned to watch Akvan. His brother hadn't lost control in a while now, but Gensho couldn't hold onto hope. He knew things weren't going to get any better now, for last night had been the beginning of a much bigger plan. A plan that no doubt included poor Akvan, which was perhaps why Makeru was flying them far away to some secluded and unknown place. The skies remained silent and clear ever since their escape had been secured by the two Angels, though Gensho couldn't help but wonder what happened to Makeru's accomplice that had assisted their escape.
Sighing, Gensho chuckled as Akvan's stomach growled, feeling against his own. He knew that thinking of food would bring back memories of the last time with Onrah, but while the shock was withstanding, Gensho doubted that anything wouldn't remind them of what had happened. Gensho's eyes watered a bit, but with a quick sniff, the Demon shooed them away and smiled to Akvan. He didn't like thinking as though he didn't trust Akvan by tying the poor brother up, but he did fear what could happen if Akvan hurt someone by accident. When they reached the mountains, and Akvan silently got up and moved to get a better view, Gensho smiled and watched him, moving the opposite direction to talk to Makeru. "They're beautiful, do you know these mountains?" Gensho asked over to Mak. The Angel chewed on an apple pip, offering a fruit from his collection to Gensho. "Nope, never even seen 'em before. The other guy told me about them, the Angel that helped us escape. Said that it was a secret place only he knew about, and that it should be a good place to crash for a while." Gensho smiled, wondering if the other Angel had known what kind of relationship the three different mountains resembled. "The smaller one looks like it's got the best cave system..." Mak suggested. Gensho shook his head, sniffing a little. "No, if you don't mind, I think that largest one would serve the best protection." Makeru looked at him and shrugged, before turning towards the larger mountain. Gensho sighed, slowly getting up. He took the apple, and another one, and slowly made his way to Akvan as they entered the cave.
Gensho shuffled next to his brother, offering to help him eat one of the apples. "Nice place isn't it?" Gensho asked. He went to speak, but was cautious of what he could say to cheer up someone so sensitive right now. "Do you remember that time... when we'd first become friends with Onrah. You told me that you'd found a brother of his in Minato, and I told it to him. When we showed him where his brother lived, we expected Onrah to go running off to his once family, like we were releasing a pet into the wild." Gensho chuckled, looking around the cave. "But no, instead he smiled, commented on how alike they looked, and asked if we wanted to get some 'grub'. He said that, despite making sure that he'd keep an eye on his Human brother, Onrah didn't need to return to that life. Because he had two new little brothers to annoy, and he wouldn't go off and change that for anything."

Akvan shivered as Gensho sat down next to him, fearful of hurting his brother. But Gensho seemed confident, and Akvan couldn't refuse the apple when he was so hungry. It was awkward to eat without hands, but Gensho was happy to help. The Demon listened to the story, picturing the time when Akvan had found information about a brother to Onrah. It had been the first time the God of Death had addressed Akvan and Gensho as brothers. Akvan smiled, although tears dropped down his face. He was constantly aware of the close feeling of darkness around him, his head pulsing as Shinda was just desperate to come out. The story was nice, and Akvan thought it would be a perfect way to try and get the gruesome truth out of their heads for a while. "I remember. And the time when Onrah first got his eye-patch...."
The three stood, staring into the mirror, Akvan and Gensho at the side of Onrah. The taller Demon was face pressed against the mirror, staring into his pink eye. "I mean..." Onrah turned to face the other two, "Does it really look that bad?" Gensho winced, looking to Akvan. The Demon sighed awkwardly, "W-well..." Akvan started, "Kinda looks like a-a strawberry." Onrah looked back into the mirror. "Well that's good right? Don't the ladies love strawberries?" He asked, blinking furiously as his eyes stung. Gensho was baffled, and Akvan was the only to have the decency to hide his laughter. "Yes brother, but they like easting them, not staring at one sitting in someone's eye. Come on Onrah, if the eye's no good, it'll only get infected and get worse." Onrah sighed, groaning like a little child, "Fine, next thing when I'm done working, I'll go up to Dranar and see if someone can remove it." Two weeks later and the Demon was still working. Gensho and Akvan had realized what kind of trick Onrah was trying to pull, but for once the younger siblings wouldn't stand for it. It was a matter of literally dragging Onrah up to Dranar, kicking and screaming like a seven foot toddler. The gritty business of removing the eye was carried out, Akvan and Gensho hanging around like concerned parents. Onrah came out sheepishly, a blank white cotton patch over his right eye. He looked glum from one Demon to the other, "Uhh... maybe I can pull the ol' sympathy trick now?" Akvan rolled his eyes, taking out a box he'd brought with them. "M-me and Gensho.. um, thought of a gift, you might like." Onrah looked curious as he opened it, not sure what it was until he held it up. From a frown, Onrah immediately smiled. "This is genius! I could be like a pirate... the girls dig a pirate!" Onrah turned to face a mirror, quickly replacing the cotton patch with the eye-patch. He sighed with awe, before turning and putting an arm around Gensho and Akvan's shoulder. "Just picture it, walking around town, some nice lady comes along, possibly an Angel. She sees the eye-patch, and asks what happened.. I could say I lost it in a mighty clash of swords between pirates, t'was to my bravery and humbleness that I lost me eye. She is impressed, then I can ask her if she would like to see my pirate ship.... I need to get a ship!" And Onrah was off and away. He never got his pirate ship, or wooed any ladies with his eye-patch jokes, but it was safe to say Onrah adored his eye-patch like it was the first gift he'd ever received.
Akvan took a bite from the apple, feeling the ship move as they landed in soft, grey sand. Makeru seemed to go off to sleep in his ship's quarters, leaving the brothers to reminisce. Since the first eye-patch, Gensho had insisted on adding a collection for Onrah to chose from. But nothing was the same as the first. It was the first time Akvan had thought of a gift for someone, and perhaps Onrah had noticed that, making the simple gift as treasured as he possibly could.

Gensho smiled. Yes, he remembered all of the times like they were yesterday. They felt so close, and so familiar, but Gensho could only wish he could such wonderful memories once more. Gensho looked around the glistening cave, taking in the sights of the inside lake, the toothy spikes that hung from the ceiling, the winding tunnels surrounding them that held many mysteries. He tried to picture the story as Akvan described it, and rubbed a tear from his eye. He'd no idea if the tear was happy or sad, to what end did it serve? Was it in the name of what had been lost, or in remembering the good times Gensho had the honour of holding in his memory. Gensho considered a bit of both, as well as feeling bad of Akvan. The Demon was so desperate to pay tribute and mourn like any brother would, but shadows in his head and an evil snacking on his heart didn't allow Akvan the chance. Sighing, Gensho waited for them both to finish their small meal, before wrapping his arms around Akvan. "I don't care what fear you have of yourself Akvan, but it isn't fair that you cannot let go because of that nasty Shinda. That's why I'm here is it not? I have been your shoulder for the past seventeen years, so please, ignore whatever pestering shadow lurks in your mind, and cry on this shoulder once more. If not for yourself.... T-then for the brother we lost." Gensho could barely finish his statement without crying. And, when he was sure Akvan could no longer see his face, Gensho let his own tears fall, refusing to let go of his brother and let that bastard nightmare take control of his head. Sighing, and with a pounding of his own in his head now, Gensho swallowed hard and looked around with his red eyes. Gensho smiled weakly, "I'm sure if Onrah was here, he'd tell us to smile, quit crying like leaky babies and laugh it off. Such a hypocrite, since that giant, soft Demon was always tearing up over the simplest things, blaming it on his eyes or the wind." Gensho glanced down to his broken arm, wincing as he'd yet to so anything but put a simple bandage around it. He felt the movement of his heavy bracelet, before moving so that he and Akvan could look at the little dark blue Skull. "You have one of these too now, don't you?" Gensho asked his brother, un-clipping his from the chain to hold it carefully in his hand.

Akvan shook like a leaf. Going from giving in to his struggles and letting his devil side take over, to refusing to let it. And then Gensho pulled him close, and Akvan felt Shinda disappear, like a ghost faded into the shadows. What Gensho said was enough to make Akvan collapse into his shoulder, back shuddering as he couldn't help but give in to tears now. Crying not just for the lost of their brother, but for what Gensho meant to Akvan as well. For someone of all Demons to connect to Akvan from birth, it was miracle that Gensho had stayed around this long, especially since a much loved Demon like him could easily make new relationships should he chose to abandon Akvan. But Gensho never did, and never cared if others associated him negatively for being near the God of Death and Disease. And Akvan's tears dropped as he wanted to cling onto his brother and never let go, he didn't want to lose anyone else. Gensho sniffed loudly, still tightly holding Akvan like a blanket against Shinda's cold aura, and Akvan's reddened eyes looked up to listen to him. Akvan swallowed, "D-do you think.... he knew?" The Demon asked, now knowing for almost certain what had Onrah acting weird all evening. Gensho shuffled a bit, and Akvan followed his gaze to the blue skull. Such a simple looking gift, but both Demons could just feel the power radiating from it. Akvan pulled his green one out, and it almost immediately glowed softly. Onrah must have seeped all of his magic into the skulls to keep them running after he died, to make sure they would still be able to do their job, even if Onrah couldn't govern what they did. To a weak smile from Akvan, his green Skull floated out of his hand, making small circles in the air, before looking at Akvan. The Demon touched the floating familiar, pushing it in the air to encourage the skull to spin around some more. It was like it had it's own little personality, brushing against Akvan's finger before flying off to check out the cave system. Akvan rubbed the tears from his eyes. It seemed more than magical to see the usually lifeless object move around with such life force. Did Onrah intend for this? Akvan could only think so, bringing life to something so simple yet so amazing had Onrah written all over it. Akvan felt relaxed as he watched the skull dance. So, in his last moments, the God of Death had created life, all in the name of protecting those he loved.

Gensho chuckled, wiping his own tears away as Akvan spoke. "Yes, I'm almost certain he did. He was being un-naturally... clingy, and spoke like some drunken philosopher deep in worry." The Demon replied, going to brush a kink out of Akvan's hair. Sighing, Gensho stroked his little blue skull. "But yes, he knew. And I think.... in a way I did to. Whilst Onrah loves giving people gifts, he's never given us something that was this useful, or something that could protect us remotely. And what he said to us before we all split from the table, those words sounded like a old father, proud of his sons moving on." Gensho added, watching Akvan bring his Skull out. Both brothers seemed a little surprised when the little guy flew out of Akvan's hand, making circles in the sky. Gensho even giggled a little, "He must be very happy to be out of your pocket." Gensho commented, before looking at his. The Demon made a pout, shaking the small stone like a broken toy. He hummed, "Perhaps mine is just tired." Gensho suggested, staring into the tiny skull's eyes until something happened. The dark blue skull wobbled, before almost falling into the sky. It seemed rather sluggish and slow, but soon joined the green one currently filling the cave with trails of green light.
Gensho sat to watch the show for a little while, looking to Akvan, and then down to the ropes pulling his wrists together. A simple pull of some of the knots, and Akvan was free to move. "I don't think we need to worry right now, so no need to restrict you like some criminal." Gensho said, before smiling as his blue skull familiar came back, resting on his shoulder. "It's like they have their own personalities, we should name them." Gensho plucked his little skull familiar up, finding that stroking across it's soft head was soothing. "Mani, that sounds like a good name." Gensho finally said. He glanced around for Akvan's skull, finding the little green guy flying in and out of a separate path, doing a little flip every time he reappeared to get their attention. Gensho frowned, "I think he wishes to be followed."

Akvan almost smiled as his skull was joined by Gensho's. The blue skull was amusing, slowly floating around like a dreary teenager. The green skull seemed impatient, flying circles around the blue one before getting bored and flying off to explore. Akvan felt relief in his hands as he was released, and for now, didn't even feel Shinda's presence. He smiled to Gensho, rubbing his wrists before watching Mani return to his brother's shoulder. Akvan didn't know what to call his, biting his lip as he thought on it. Finally, the Demon thought of something, that both made him smile and dampen his eyes, "Harno... I'll call him that." Akvan replied finally, hoping his wise brother saw the connection in the name. Eyes looking up to Harno as the little familiar flew around, Akvan hummed in agreement to Gensho. He struggled to his feet, still aching from last night, before following after his new friend. Harno waited a few steps ahead, moving off as the others got closer, until he lead them up a long, winding path. Harno bumped into Akvan's cheek, and the Demon soon saw what he wanted them to see. The skull had taken them up to the top of the mountain, which laid out flat, like a small landscape. There were a few trees and a pond, surreal and beautiful. But on the horizon, Akvan smiled as he watched the road of colour bend across the sky. A rainbow, trailing after a rain cloud that had yet to reach them. Yet another memory of Onrah. How the older brother had loved watching a good rainbow. He'd always considered them beyond magical potential, something so untouched by Angel or Demon or even Human. Something that was just purely natural, without someone pulling the strings.
The Demon sniffed, glancing to Harno, who's hollow eyes looked to Akvan. He smiled, offering a finger for the skull to float on. "He loved rainbows, didn't he?" Akvan asked the skull. He felt like, as a creation of Onrah, perhaps the magic skulls contained some of his memories, knowing certain things that Onrah used to like and becoming attracted to them. Or acting like the Demon did. Lazy and slow, but then sometimes crazy and adventurous. Akvan felt a tear run down his cheek, only to have it rubbed off by Harno, who then floated up, taking a long look at the rainbow himself.

Gensho tried not to smile too much at Akvan's choice of names. It was cheesy, but also a cute recollection to Onrah. "A nice little name, I'm sure he'd be smiling." Gensho muttered as a reply. Taking a few steps behind Akvan, Gensho slowly followed, Mani sleeping away on his shoulder. He smiled when they reached the top, glancing around the miniature landscape that rested on the top of the mountain, taking in every new detail with the honour it deserved. What a wondrous place, to think that places like this still existed in Sohul, it made Gensho feel somewhat calmer. He chuckled as Akvan and Harno sought out to gaze at the beam of colour across the sky. Gensho knew what kind of relationship Onrah had with Rainbows and all things colourful. It really was a interest of the God of Death that Gensho could never see expressed on him. Despite loving all things colourful and bright, Onrah dressed like a shadow, accepting nothing but dark clothes. He always made excuses for not wearing colours, like that a guy like him didn't deserve to make a mess of such delicate art. That he'd put all colour to shame if he wore them. It was always because of that, that Gensho had once considered that Onrah acceptance of his job as God of Death wasn't as plain sailed as the Demon pretended it was.
Gensho had never prized too far into it, and was glad, in a way, that Onrah didn't need to worry about his duties anymore. He was up there somewhere, perhaps even on that subtle rainbow in the sky, relaxing in the clouds for eternal, well earned rest. Chuckling, Gensho had to admit he felt a little jealous. But he still had a job to do, not just guarding the night, but looking after his last remaining brother too. The two brothers continued to explore the highest reach of the mountain, until the rain cloud that the beam of colour had been trailing finally reached them, and they retreated into the caves. Gensho took off his jacket to hang it against Mak's ship, before sighing. The day felt long drawn out, and Gensho didn't know if time had healed anything yet. He still felt sore, shaken to the core by reality's quakes, and refused to picture anything from the Ballroom. But, alas, Gensho felt a need to think back, after a long while of silence. Gensho glanced to Akvan, biting his lip as he didn't know whether to press a topic on Akvan whilst he was so fragile. Despite his cheery outside appearance as he was entertained by Harno, no doubt Akvan was still fighting a war inside. Clearing his throat, Gensho slowly stood up straight. "S-so, my dear brother... What, what do you want to do now?" Gensho asked, feeling unsure on what the answer would be. Gensho didn't wait before speaking again. "We can try and remove the image from our minds, but it will always remain. We can only accept what we saw, and I believe you and I know there's things we must consider... The Demons that, k-killed Onrah... t-they were Itami and Exitium. Goddess of Sin and God of Destruction. If it was Itami's doing, then the Outlaws must be involved... And then there was Chester."

Akvan didn't want to think about anything anymore. All he'd done in his life is feel guilt and sadness for what he'd done, and now things were even worse. As much as he could try and refuse to think about it, Onrah was dead because in the end, Akvan was the target. It was all his fault, his very existence and powers put everyone around him at risk. Onrah had been killed, Akvan could only assume because the Outlaws wanted to get to Akvan without anyone in the way. It meant anyone Akvan knew was at risk, including Gensho. And then the Demon shuddered even more when his brother mentioned Chester as well. Akvan looked like a broken pup as he glanced to his brother, clutching Harno tightly as he shivered. "N-n-no... I don't know... I d-don't know anything a-anymore." Akvan managed to mutter, before giving into his weak, crying shudders. Shaking his head as tears were rolling seemingly non-stop, Akvan took a deep breath.
"W-w-why? W-why do I k-keep causing others pain? I-it doesn't make sense." Akvan mumbled, stumbling towards the curved wall of the cave, folded up against it. He sniffed loudly, glancing to Gensho and just imaging the same picture of death happening to him. And then Akvan's head pulsed, like a string was tugging hard from inside of his head. Akvan clenched up, growling as he tried to refuse being taken over. "W-why? Ha ha, you make me laugh, Akvan you little shit. It's because you don't belong in this world. You're a fucking plague, killing everyone you touch... every piece of shit you know and love won't last long around you, soon you'll be all alone, and then what will you do?" Shinda spat. Akvan shook away his tears, refusing to give into the pulsing in his head as he tried to push Shinda's voice back. Groaning, the poor Demon was left exhausted against the wall, hands covering his face.

Gensho felt horrible the moment he mentioned Chester. It had just slipped out, she was his friend too, and so the God of Night instinctively mentioned her. But he knew thanks to everything they'd seen, Chester was more involved in this than she'd appeared to be at first, and Gensho knew how much that must hurt Akvan to think about. He also considered how recollecting to exactly what kind of people Itami and Exitium were, meant that Chester was in good company right now. Gulping, Gensho looked shamefully to the floor, throat dry as he didn't think anything he could say would bring back what kind of fears he'd mentioned already. And it broke Gensho in two when he saw Akvan's struggle with Shinda. Of all the times last night that Gensho had witnessed the evil spirit possess him, it had never felt this harsh or extreme. The God could feel the very air turn foul and unpleasant, he could feel a pulsing in his own head as a pure evil surrounded his brother. Gensho knew there was no point trying to help, that would only result in getting hurt, which Akvan would naturally blame himself for in the end.
Sighing, Gensho looked sorrowfully at Akvan's crumbled little form, hoping for once his little brother could win one of these fights for power. Because more than just to show Akvan as the stronger willed, it also meant not being killed by Shinda if he did take over. Swallowing hard, Gensho shuffled one step closer to Akvan. "You don't cause any of us pain, dear brother. It is us who inflict pain upon you. We all try to help you find happiness by forcing it upon you, by making you like us. Careless, foolish Demons. But you're not like that, you are pure, a Demon emotion I'd never imagined was possible, you are different Akvan, special. Nothing is, or has ever been your fault, so please don't hate yourself, forgive us, your silly brothers instead. For never truly listening to your problems, only seeing a smile as the way out, and never picturing how you really felt deep down... I'll, all of us who have hurt you, we'll find a way to stop this burden you feel eternally on your shoulders, and let you be free for once in your life."

Akvan only got a moment of subtle pace before Shinda attacked again. To anyone else, Akvan was simply cowering against a wall, whimpering every now and then. But in his mind, he and Shinda were at one another's throats, Shinda easily towering over Akvan and choking him to death. Akvan shook his head as he struggled. Shinda smiled, "Quit trying to stop me, little brat. You've no right to this body, and I'm taking it for good. Once you're dead and gone, just think about how happy everyone will be, with Akvan the burden out of their lives!" The Demon cackled, forcing Akvan to slam his head against the wall. Wincing, Akvan looked forward, staring into Shinda's eyes with hate and fear. "L-leave me... alone, Shinda." Akvan growled, and Shinda only chuckled more. "What, is shitty little Akvan getting angry? That's a fucking new one on me, you're not the pushover you pretend to be... or perhaps you know what I'm going to do to the pest over there if I get control." Akvan glared at him. Yes, he didn't want Shinda in control, because Gensho had kindly but naively removed the ropes holding the evil Demon at bay. Gripping his own head until he could feel small cuts of blood from his digging nails, Akvan had to withhold every painful urge as Shinda pounded in his head.
When Gensho spoke, Akvan listened. The Demon didn't think he'd ever heard his brother apologise before, because there had never been a time to need to ask for forgiveness from Akvan. It was, and always should be, the God of Disease asking for the forgiveness of others. Perhaps if he'd ended his own dangerous existence years ago, nothing would be as bad as it was now. Shinda seemed to sense the feelings in Akvan's mind, and used it for his benefit. He sneered at Gensho, with violent purple eyes. "Fuck off, you pathetic excuse of a Demon. Forgive you? Fine, we'll forgive you, in fact I'll do the shitty brat a favour by killing you all, then there won't be anyone to need forgiving, huh?" Akvan struggled to hold Shinda back, but the sadistic Demon was able to stand up, glaring over to Gensho. "You wanna save your fucking brother? Then kill him, right here, right now. Then he won't have to deal with anymore of this pathetic shit, and he can free as a bird."

Gensho couldn't help but cower back a little when Shinda stood up. He looked weak and unarmed, but there was an aura around the Demon that put even the sadistic souls like Exitium to shame. What kind of world this man could create if given full control. Shivering, Gensho managed to stand his ground, even glaring back at the Demon, knowing for now that Akvan was struggling enough to keep Shinda from going mad. Finally, Gensho smiled sympathetically, looking to the ground. "You are rather rude, aren't you Shinda. Now could I kindly speak to my brother?" Not waiting, Gensho looked right into Akvan's eyes, hoping to find his brother still struggling on in there somewhere. "Brother, we don't deserve someone so kind like you in our lives, it's true. And I can't think of how many things I need to be grateful to you for. Killing you, although it might seem in good will, is something I could never convince myself to do, so please also forgive me for that." Finally, Gensho went and knelt down, looking up to Akvan with a brotherly smile. "You know, me and Onrah was always the more extroverted ones, but we both could see a greatness in you that we knew we would never match. You're an inspiring person Akvan, no matter what cruelty destiny puts you through, believe that you can defeat it, and I know you will. If anyone has the power to defeat their destiny, it's you, dear brother. So prove it now, by getting rid of this rude spirit in your head."

Looking into his eyes, Gensho managed to bring Akvan out for a moment. Shaking his head as it pounded from being smashed against the wall, Akvan dropped to his knees, feeling too exhausted to even cry anymore. He listened to Gensho talk, hearing his head shake with Shinda's evil laughter, but Akvan refused to let him out, not until he'd heard everything his brother had to say. Akvan had heard praise from his brothers before. On any other day, Akvan would be warmed and encouraged by Gensho's humble words, but today all Akvan could feel was inner pain. Before he could reply, Akvan began choking, no longer just in his mind. Collapsing on the ground, his mind warped into darkness, until he could no longer even control his movements. Chuckling, Shinda dragged himself to his feet, smirking to Gensho. "I couldn't just sit around and listen to your bullshit, little Demon. But, you are brave enough to stand and look at me with that pathetic trace of determination..." Shinda hissed, looking Gensho up and down. Yes, he would do for now. Holding a hand forward, Shinda released a spear of green and sickly fog. It fired towards Gensho, piercing right through his heart but seemed to leave no damage. It did knock the little Demon down, and Shinda smirked as he sent maleficent magic down into the diseased spear. "You should feel honoured, you Demon crap, it's been far too long since I've used this magic." Cackling, Shinda prepared to have more fun, before feeling a massive shock pass down his side. Muscles spamming out, Shinda's magic was cancelled, and he collapsed to the ground as blue lightening stunned him frozen. Shinda muttered a curse, knowing his work on Gensho was only part complete. Not that it mattered, if not now, then Shinda would sooner or later turn him into a fully pledged follower, for now he would remain a dormant half-ling.

Makeru really had hoped the worst of things was behind them for now, but he knew that sounded too good to be real. Sighing, the Angel tried to sleep, and for a while, he did, whilst the Demon brothers had run off to somewhere else. Getting a wink of sleep, Makeru was woken up when things got heated outside. Gensho said something which sounded muffled to Mak, and then someone else spoke. They sounded like Akvan, but much more bitter. Makeru knew who that must be, seeing this different person already many times in the night on the ship. Jumping to his feet, Makeru got out in time to see Shinda attack Gensho, able to knock the Demon out before he did the God of Night anymore damage. Sighing, Makeru glanced to Gensho to make sure he was alright. From the look of things, he was unharmed, and Mak couldn't tell of any changes to his heal. Panting, the Demon got up and rushed over to Akvan's collapsed side. "He'll be fine, only a little shock. Should be out like a light for a few hours though."
Gensho seemed to swallow back tears, nodding his head slowly, "T-thank you." Mak looked the man up and down, before shrugging. "No problem, didn't mean to hurt your brother though, but he looked ready to kill." Makeru answered, slowly making his way down to Gensho's side. Although Makeru withheld his judgement of others, he really respected Gensho. To have the heart to treat someone like this as a brother for so long, even when it put his own life at risk. And at moments like this, when his psychotic brother was ready to kill him, Gensho still ran to his side. Makeru wished he could still have that kind of relationship, the bonds between siblings. But his sister was absent, perhaps even dead. Makeru shook his own problems away, instead putting a hand on Gensho's shoulder. "I know it's tough, but I'd suggest tyin' him up again.... 'specially considerin' I'm gunna head out, find us some proper supplies for stayin' here." Gensho tried to convince Makeru that his ties to them didn't need to last any longer, he'd done more than enough. But the ex-Angel was having none of it, and said his short farewell before hopping up onto his Golden ship.
