Well over a week into the festival, and Kaku still had over half of the gifts still in the sack. Which, in terms of previous years when the Jikos were overflown with desperate teams and in a week were coiling pain and paint with an empty bag of goods, was a good start. To be honest, Kakushin had it easy since he left Sora. Maybe their choice to go to the floating town was bad, since Kakushin was almost immediately separated from Rurushu as they were hunted with paint wielding mad men. On Kakushin's end, it was by far the worst interaction he had, and probably will receive in this month of torture. Being chased by Hane, the one man who enjoyed the festival solely because he could create punishments for his students without getting in trouble for it, was the worst as well.
But, Kakushin had found a place to hide out. He'd skulk around Minato, keeping to the quiet streets and try to keep the annoying bells on his outfit from giving him away. Maybe the Angel could try locating Rurushu at some point, regroup somewhere safe to think of a better plan for hiding out. Minato was surprisingly promising for that aspect. The city that was usually buzzing with danger during normal days, was peaceful and empty during Jiko-Jiko season. Kakushin could almost let his guard down, even though he remained cautious of ever noise in the dead town.

What a change of events to bring Ikiru to his usual, giddy self. Perhaps he'd entered the festival late, but Ikiru had high hopes for his team. He hadn't left Minato yet, no, Ikiru was still wise from previous years of watching the festival that Minato was a perfect place to catch the action. He even had a plan for if he found a Jiko here, one that was sure to amaze and make everyone happy. Ikiru skipped down the empty streets, singing to himself as he looked down every alley. He had his large coat on, hiding any paint he and his team had made so that Ikiru could act even more on the side of surprise. The Angel giggled, looking up into the dark night sky as he thought about how better his grumpier team-mate would be if Ikiru came back with stacks of gifts. When he looked back down, Ikiru could have squealed. Well, well, if it wasn't a poor lost Jiko looking for some alone time. Ikiru rubbed his hands together, glancing to the rooftops around them, before sending a wisp of light magic into the air. With that gone, Ikiru put on a friendly smile. "Oh Kakushin!" Ikiru called, waving a hand and jogging over to the colourfully dress Angel. Kaku should know that Ikiru wasn't supposed to be in the festival, since it was all Angel news that the young, happy guy had got himself injured again. In fact, no one should know about Ikiru or his team, and so the act of surprise was perfect.

Kakushin sighed, arm aching as the stupid sack of gifts hung over his shoulder. The whole idea of having Jikos was supposed to be so that they could relax and have fun. Hence why it was mostly the Angels and Demons with the toughest jobs that got the role of Jiko. But the dumb clothes, the hat and bells that rang on and on for a month, along with the heavy bag of goods and not to mention the running away from being pelted with paint. All of it didn't make being a Jiko sound like a joy. But, maybe Kakushin was being sour because of the fact he'd been separated from Ru in Sora.
He turned around at the sudden voice, taking longer than usual to relax at seeing the happy face of Ikiru, because of the festival leaving him on high alert. Ikiru, Kaku knew that the younger Angel didn't get a chance at the competition from being injured, which would explain why he was in Minato. Probably using the ghost town like a playground whilst everyone was away fighting. Kakushin smiled, dropping his bag by his feet as he waited for Ikiru. "Hey Ikiru, sorry if I looked ready to run." Kakushin replied, smiling kindly to the innocent Angel. "It's nice not to have to run away from everyone."

Notes: Let the chaos commence, EVERYONE JOIN
Oh Ikiru felt so giddy as he ran towards Kaku. He did his best not to stumble, or anything too out of the ordinary to give his plans away. But Kakushin didn't seem any wiser about the innocent looking Angel's plans, which made Ikiru all the more excited. Ikiru barely listened to the Guardian before almost shoving him over in a hug as he stopped running. Giggling innocently, Ikiru gleamed as Kaku spoke, so naive to what was going down right now. "It's no problem Ka-Ka, you got to be alert all the time right?" Ikiru answered, grinning happily. His smile held as Kakushin continued, eyes closed blissfully as Ikiru's plan went perfectly. "I suppose it would be, but... sorry Mr. Jiko, but it looks like you've just been tricked." Ikiru replied sweetly, before looking directly up at the purple coloured bird, soaring above them. A glance from Ikiru was all it took for Shyni to understand her signal, and the phoenix let out a cry before dropping the bucket of paint. Ikiru watched as the purple paint fell down like a giant blanket, before crouching down to wrap Kakushin's shins around his arms. Ikiru giggled to himself, prepared for the weight of his team's paint, knowing it wouldn't do any harm to him in terms of points, but for the poor Jiko it would be like a tidal wave. As Ikiru waited, he heard Shyni continue to cry out, screaming around Minato to try and get the attention of anyone, hopefully baring paint, to gather towards her location.

In Hein sight, Hisan probably should have mentioned to his 'team' that their plan, though good at first, would backfire and send all other teams after not just the Jiko, but their team too. But at the same time, Hisan was unwillingly dragged into joining the team, plus he was hiding out... No one would guess he was on a 'team' considering he wasn't even carrying around paint. But then again, his reasoning was that he may be forced into said team, but there was no way in hell he was going to join in the pointless fiasco. He wondered how long it would be before both the airheaded members realised their mistake, and would probably laugh at their expense, but at the same time and in very, very strange and small way, Hisan would admit to finding it amusing, the prospect of the bane of his existence to be completely smothered in paint... Due to a plan of his. Making sure he was well hidden from any paint goers, Hisan got ready to 'enjoy' the show.

An excuse to leave Baransu couldn't have been more welcomed by Ningen. He wanted nothing more than to get away from the boring life there, and here he was presented with an entire month to make friends and have as much fun as possible to get rewards. He was happy with his team, although he didn't know them all that well. He knew two. The fancy Demon, Gensho, had stood before Nobles on many occasions to express good will, and the Human lady had also spoken her piece to the Baransu Council. Ningen was happy to have a chance to get to know them on a more equal level, away from the mind of business. Ningen had been resting on the back of his other team-mate, the reluctant but kind Makeru's ship. As far as transport went, Green team had the best, considering it had two wing-less Humans in it. After leaving Sora as they left the action there, the team simply soared around the high skies of Sohul, waiting for commotion to reach their ears.
And commotion did indeed reach them, a cry of something inhuman and distressed. Ningen was first to rise, gazing down toward the city below them. He eventually spotted a patch of an unnatural colour in the dull city of Minato, pointing it out to the others. "I see an opportunity guys, what do you say?" Ningen asked, not even waiting for a reply before rushing to grab his gun. He'd altered it just for the festival, loading the magic gun with paint bullets rather than actual harming ones. It meant Ningen could fight with the skills he already possessed, not his weak physical strength. Makeru dropped the ship into an almost dangerous dive, not slowing down until they were swooping level with the rooftops of Minato. Ningen held tight onto the ship, waiting for Makeru to stop their boat and dissolve it. As they did stop, Ningen couldn't wait to make the most of their opportunity. The only issue was that they were faced with two blobs of purple paint, neither one currently recognisable. But, the witty Human didn't see any reason to not open fire, whoever they were, they weren't a team-mate, and so were paint-fodder. Ningen grinned, aiming his gun and firing one shot at each unidentified blob.

Kakushin chuckled, getting used to the funny nature of Ikiru. Any Angel was aware of the happy and overly friendly brother to the Guardian of Life, and it was always a joy to meet Ikiru. When Kakushin was less tolerant and accepting as he was now, Ikiru had always been an acceptance to the Angel's indifference. So Kaku patted the younger Angel's head, smiling lightly to Ikiru's joyful remark. But then, the smile dropped, exchanged with a look of sudden despair. He looked up as Ikiru did, seeing the purple bird, and then the thick cloud of paint falling. Before he could move, Kaku's legs were caught, vice gripped by Ikiru was the Angel giggled. Kakushin felt like a fool, caught up in the joyful attitude of Ikiru, and then kicked in the gut by the Angel's sudden trick.
He'd nowhere to move to avoid the paint, and Ikiru had sacrificed his own cleanliness to make sure the Jiko was coated in purple paint. Kaku could only struggle, watching as the paint fell down over him and Ikiru like a blanket. A blanket of sticky, purple paint that almost crushed the two Angels. Kaku felt himself forced to the floor by the paint, frozen for a moment, before slowly climbing to his feet in the purple muck. Kaku coughed, doing his best to shake and rub the paint from around his eyes. He looked down to Ikiru watching the smaller Angel rise, chuckling through the blob of paint he was now also covered in. Kakushin huffed, glaring at the Angel, before feeling something else hit his back. Kakushin winced, looking over his shoulder at the green paint, and then to the four new-comers. He groaned, being covered in sticky paint would make the getaway harder, and with more and more people swarming, this looked to be one massive paint party.

Post by Nanari on Dec 18, 2014 21:37:11 GMT
Nanari was ecstatic, first off she knew two of the members in her team, one in which she was friends with and the other she wished to get to know better, while the third, though was newly me, seemed friendly, but then again Nanari never judged. Second she wasn't the only human, and for the first year she didn't feel bad for setting the team back because of her lack in flight and finally she was in the same league as everyone else and could actually help within a fight, rather than hide behind the corner needing to be protected, though she still needed to hide, as to not be hit with others paint... But it still was only paint, so she wouldn't be killed from it. Looking over the flying ship, Nanari couldn't help but smile, it was flying without wings, something she never thought she would get the experience of doing, in any form... And the views were just fantastic. "Beautiful isn't it Tulus?" Before she could get in a reply the team heard a call in the distance, that really only meant one thing... Paint war. Quickly grabbing her share of paint bombs, handing over a few to Tulus, Nanari almost jumped in excitement, this was their first bit of action, and despite the paint covering the two victims, it wasn't too difficult for Nanari to tell one was Kakushin, this would be fun. "Hey Tulus stay out of sight, you could be a secret weapon and drop paint upon their heads..." "Ha-ha, Yeah!" Lightly throwing one of the paint bombs in the air and catching it, Nanari threw it towards the two, hoping it would hit at least one of them.

Ikiru was a laughing mess as he felt the weight of paint hit him. Perhaps he'd asked dear Shyni to carry a little too much, considering it felt like a ton of bricks were hitting his back. Fortunately, Ikiru was already on the floor, and so the impact wasn't as harsh as for Kaku. But the paint hit, which meant plenty of presents for the purple team. Finally seizing his giggles, Ikiru rose to his feet soon after Kaku, glancing to the landing ship with a smile. "Well, well, more for the party." Ikiru said simply, grinning as he dodged the paint bullet, dripping with heavy paint as he moved around. He was as graceful as one could be when covered head to toe in icky paint, but what Ikiru lacked in everything else he made up for in evasion. The Angel stopped to look from Kakushin to the Green team that had gathered, purple arms on his hips. "This looks like quite the party... maybe I could do with some help." He looked around the rooftops, listening to Shyni as she continued to call out the word of action above their heads, before finally cupping his hands to his mouth. "Oh Hisan! Hiiiiiiiiiiisssssssssaaaaaaaaaaaannnn! I know you're watching kitten! Your team could use some help down here!" Ikiru called out to around him, spitting out the paint as it dribbled into his mouth. The purple blob finished his piece, watching Kaku take the brunt of attack from the middle of the street. "We're expecting our gifts Jiko, don't dilly dally!" Ikiru stated.

Hisan really did wish that the green paint also hit Ikiru, but he guessed he would have to settle with their own 'team' colour for now. Soothing the sides of his head, Hisan knew he should probably get out of here... It would be simple enough, Catulus... Currently helping the other idiot with most likely a counter attack, wouldn't be too pleased with his disappearance for the month, but he did have Ikiru and the idiot to look after him for the month, as much as he hated to admit that, even to himself. But those thoughts were a little late for when Ikiru called out to him... The idiot. There was no way he was helping, he didn't even want to join in the first place. But he knew if he didn't make himself known, Ikiru would just chase him down and lead everyone over to him. "NOT ON YOUR TEAM REMEMBER? I NEVER AGREED." Setting back into a different but still hidden location as quickly as possible, Hisan made sure to keep out of the way of the other team... He knew that despite what he's said, the other teams would just think its an act, unless they of course knew him personally.
