If Exitium was to be banished for anything, today it would be this. Take out all of the other delicious sins he'd committed. Murdering an entire town of life, killing his foster father, residing in the secrecies of the Outlaws. All would be meaningless glitter over today's sin. For today, Exitium would break the barriers of a God, it would no longer be a simple title for powerful Demons, but it would mean it's literal definition. Exitium was playing god, and he knew how far going that would be in the eyes of others. But, today's sin was required, Exitium's plans of changing this sick and broken world could only begin after today's experiment.
The God stood in his usual area, looking around at the many craters he'd past-made in this place. Ignis soon landed by his side, the dragon grumbling before going to receive comfort by Exitium's hand. Exi scratched the dragon's jaw, "Did you fetch our guinea pig?" Exitium muttered, to which Ignis snorted his response. Exitium slowly turned around, smiling sweetly to the stunning gold dragon that landed soon after. She wasn't very big, barely able to carry even a small Demon like Exitium. But the golden dragoness had a soft spot on Exitium, it was why he'd chosen her of all dragons to be the first. Exitium stepped towards the young dragon, carefully holding out a hand for her to sniff. "Chrysos, my dear, how are you?" Exitium asked, keeping the smile over his face.
The young dragon glanced up, split-pupil eyes uneasy. "Papa, I'm tired of being kept in the dark, can't I know what you want?" Chrysos asked sweetly, leaning her snout into Exitium's open hand. Exitium sighed, moving closer to gently stroke the dragon's temple. "It only to protect you, but now I can feed your curiosity, my dear. Chrysos, how would you like to become a Demon, like me?"
Chrysos frowned, ears twitching. "Like papa? So I could be small like Demons? Have funny, spongy skin and tiny hands?" Exitium giggled, "Now, now, you make us Demons sound so comical... but yes, you could become one of us." Chrysos lifted herself away from the Demon, falling back on her stronger hind legs as she grumbled in thought.
"Exitium give Chrysos great gift." Ignis barked, "You would accept gift, Chrysos." The red dragon's few words meant much to the other dragons. For when Exitium captured his other dragons, Ignis had always been there to make sure the others knew he was the alpha dragon, the boss. Any words from Ignis were feared by the other dragons, and they dared not refuse any command by the small yet dangerous red dragon. Chrysos seemed uneasy, but eventually nodded her head. "If it would make papa happy..." She finally said, a nervous smile on her snout, "Will it hurt?"
Exitium was relieved the dragon agreed willingly, he'd hate to have to make today even more of a hassle by forcing the gold dragon. He smiled, "I would never hurt my Chrysos, you need not worry about pain, my dear, for I have made sure the process is as far from uncomfortable as possible." Chrysos seemed comforted by the response, falling onto her front legs to nose into what Exitium did next. The Demon pulled out a small bag, reaching inside to reveal a crystal, perhaps the size of a skull. It was blood red, simply because it was made of blood. Demon blood, to be exact. A Demon's soul, the crystal was formed a few days ago from the corpse of a kindly offered donor Exitium found disgracing his race in Sohul. "All you need to do is swallow this, and all the qualities of a Demon shall be yours." Chrysos nodded, gingerly wrapping the crystal around her forked tongue before lifting it from Exitium's grasp. A quick snap of the dragon's powerful jaws, and the carefully made crystal was consumed. Almost instantly, the effects took hold. Chrysos seemed surprised as she hissed from the pain, her golden, scaly skin began to rupture and crack. The poor dragon began howling, but Exitium simply watched, a grin over his face as he waited for his experiment's results. The smile faltered as Chrysos began to glow with a golden light, the air around her hummed and escalated. Quickly, Ignis moved in front of the small Demon to protect him from the oncoming blast of light. The explosion cut off any other sound, and left Exitium and Ignis in a cloud of dust. Exitium look for signs of life in the dust, tutting finally. "Well, I suppose it was only our first try." He stated with disappointment, before turning to head elsewhere to take note of the results.
"Papa?" Came an altered, but familiar voice from behind. Exitium turned slowly, almost coughing as he braved going further into the dusty cloud. He could have laughed with the joys of success when he saw the small, golden haired Demon. But first, he dug down into the small bag to throw the poor girl some clothing, before standing and admiring the results. A small Demon, fitting for her age, with long and untidy golden hair, sat rather confused at the sudden shrink of her size. Her wings remained similar to those of her dragon form, if smaller, as well as her gold tail. But other than that, Chrysos was in all appearances, a Demon. The girl took a few moments to gather her surrounding, putting the clothes on as best she could for her first go, before stumbling to her feet. Exitium's grin only grew wider.
"I've done it." He muttered, before increasing his vocals in exclamation. "I am truly fitting as a god! The first Dracomancer, born by the power flowing through my hands!" Chrysos wasn't really listening, she was too busy staring at the tiny little pink feet she had to balance on. Eventually, she carefully walked over to Exitium, almost falling into the Demon. "Do you like my gift, dear Chrysos?" The girl nodded, so small and fragile-looking now in this form.
Exitium chuckled softly, "Don't fret too much, I gave you the powers of a Demon, but dragon blood still runs through you. By your power, the power I will help you control, you will be able to change between the two forms at will." Chrysos smiled. She was happy to hear that her dragon days weren't completely over, and went to give her foster father a hug. Exitium pretended to be comfortable with the embrace, but then frowned as Chrysos gently punched his arm. Not many could get away with it, but a prized weapon like Chrysos was an exception, for now. Chrysos pouted through the playful punch, "You said it wouldn't hurt." She joked.
