Ru happily returned the kiss, sending in as much passion and determination as Kaku about keeping the others heart in tack. And Ru would swear on his life that he himself truly did give Kaku his heart, and trusted him wholeheartedly to keep it safe. Taking a glance around the room himself, Ru smiled and looked back towards Kaku. "It sure does... Do you want to look around the waterfall for some stones?... And I'll keep in mind to bring a pen or something with me the next time we run away together so you can write down something's on the stones that remind you of Itamu." Ru remembered watching an elderly woman do such a thing for her husbands grave, and that small action stuck in his mind like glue... It was a reason such as this that made him realised the significance of it. "And once we set up the monument you can say some things about him... I'll say something too if you would like, but it wont be much as I never knew him."

Kakushin could remember the times spent later on with Itamu, when the pair were older and more mature than just teen Angels looking for fun. They would visit graveyards, stocking themselves with flowers to place before any grave that neglected to have any. Kakushin always enjoyed it, it made even the loneliest grave look loved and mourned for. Since all that happened, Kakushin didn't really do much grave flowering anymore, perhaps he'd have to start it again. Kakushin pushed himself against Ru, and perhaps he would bring someone with him when he did so, too. Kaku eventually nodded to Rurushu's suggestion, pulling the Demon along as he made a beeline for the waterfall. It was a highlight of this place, filled with all sorts of stones that could easily be mistaken for jewels thanks to the years of being under a rushing waterfall. Carefully, Kakushin hopped down the side of the river bank, watching for Ru to follow. "We can pick out any, any you think look good." Kakushin stated, smiling as he placed a hand under the running water. Probably, when the temple was still running, this clear water would have been considered holy, and healing. It was fresh, since mountain water usually was. But Kakushin never saw much to the simple river. Although, looking at it now, how light reflected with colours off of the waterfall, he could see why something so simple as this would have once been worshipped. "You'll look after this place, right Itamu? You and I both know how protective you get over the stuff you care for." Kaku muttered, eyes moving to spot a few stones that took his interest. Kakushin gather what he could, watching and smiling at Rurushu as he did whatever he did. "Thank you, again. I don't know why, but doing this, making a memory of Itamu here, rather than everywhere else I placed one, it feels different. I suppose because it's the first time I haven't been broken when trying to build on, and that's thanks to you being here with me, so thanks." Kakushin said with a smile. He thought on what to say to Itamu once they'd completed the small monument, what news the crazy Angel would want to know about. Kaku also knew he wanted Ru to say something, even if it was small, just because of what Kakushin had recently said.

Ru took a moment to admire the waterfall, something so beautiful and yet so powerful. It reminded him of Kaku in a strange sense for that very reason. He headed over closer to Kaku before reaching down and collecting up some of the nicer looking stones, though he left the bulk o the choice to Kaku, knowing that this meant more to him then it would to Ru by a long shot, and wished for it to remind Kaku of Itamu in the best way possible. Looking towards the Guardian, Ru smiled at his words... "Welcome. But I believe it may be because its in a place that no one else but myself will know about. You can make it perfectly for Itamu and not have to worry about what anyone else thinks." Ru knew that some of the places one made a memorial was constantly checked and visited by those who knew it was there, so you had to be careful about what was written and included. But here, here Kaku could add whatever he wanted, without the worry of others. "This memorial can be perfectly reflecting Itamu and who he was."

Kaku chuckled. The Demon was right about some of that. It was true, most of the time, subtleness was all Kakushin could go by when leaving marks for Itamu. He'd made a proper grave, near the large tree where it had all fallen apart, but most of the time, monuments had been simple rock piles next to places of the best memories. Kakushin thought back to the grave. So rushed, since at the time of grief, almost all Kaku could think of was getting revenge, rather than actually mourning. It was typical of every unexpected death, thing never seemed real for a time, before they eventually hit the sufferers like a brick wall. Kakushin had no recollection of how he'd got out of the hole of grief, supposedly it had been by Neko's constant presence and comfort, as well as the distraction of Kaku's new duty. But he'd managed to survive the aftermath of Itamu's death, and boy had it been worth it. Kakushin could imagine what he'd be like if he'd decided to stay frozen in time by his aching heart, and he reminded himself to go visit Itamu's grave some time when he could, now that it wasn't something he would actively avoid.
Watching Rurushu gather what he thought was right, Kaku carefully climbed the vertical bank from the waterfall, offering a hand down to Ru. "I've made quite a few monuments in the past, most were by Neko's attempts to help me recover. But this one is different, different by what you've said, and by this new life I've gladly found myself in." Kaku glanced towards the temple. There was one last thing he could think of to go with the small rock pile. After making it back to the temple, and placing the rocks down on the ground, Kaku held one still in his hand, a softer one than the other rocks. He took a distance away from Rurushu, before tossing the soft stone into the air. Golden magic coating his eyes, in a flash of light Kaku had drawn his sword and cut several times across the stone. It was a mere blink of time, but Kakushin stopped and stood as he caught the stone from the air, as if he'd never moved at all. The stone had been carved, into a small shape. Kakushin held it up to admire his work, a small shovel, with a fish at the bottom. "Two things that come to mind when I think of Itamu... his deadly shovel, and love of fish. Always made me wonder who the cat was out of him and Neko."

All Ru did was give Kaku a small smile at what he said, knowing that there was no reason to say much else. Because if he said much more the meanings behind the words would be lost. Rurushu gladly accepted the hand though, and followed behind Kaku quietly, keeping a hold of the others hand through the entire trip. Placing his own stones with Kaku's, so that the other could decide how he wanted them, Ru watched in amazement when the other carved the shapes into the stone in a literal blink of an eye. Something Rurushu never actually thought possible. But he chuckled at Kaku's next words, and every moment he was feeling as if he knew Itamu, rather then just heard about him. "Once more, im glad I never met this shovel. It scares me just thinking about it. And im pretty sure Neko is the cat, otherwise I've been calling him a 'bloody cat' for no reason what so ever other than embarrassing myself." Ru gave a small chuckle and wrapped his arms around Kaku from behind. "You'll have to introduce me to him when we go where ever we go after this life."

Kakushin blinked a little after using his light-speed magic. Hane was kidding when he said it was a dangerous magic. Even using it to fly him and Rurushu away, or now to carve the stone, it made Kaku a little dizzy. And those moment only lasted a few seconds, Kaku could only imagine what would be the result of using the taught magic for longer than a few moments. Kakushin smiled, stroking the little carved fish. He joked, but he knew more or less where Itamu's love of fish had come from. Neko's age was unknown, but Kakushin could safely assume that the cat was brought up by Itamu. Somewhere along the line, Itamu must have fed the small Neko, a diet solely made of fish. Itamu must have eaten so much fish with Neko that he naturally began to adore the salty tasting meat. Kakushin shivered as he felt Rurushu behind him, and chuckled slightly. "A castle made of sweets, with rainbows for food and flying pigs for servants..." Kakushin muttered, smiling up to Rurushu, "That was what Itamu wanted to live in when he went to the next life, I don't know if he's got that dream, but I hope so... it'll make him a whole lot easier to find."

Ru just stood there frozen when hearing about what Itamu wanted in the next life... That... Was not something he was expecting, but hearing it... Kind of made him want the same thing... If only for the flying servant pigs... "Creative. And im sure to look out for a castle made of sweets when I die... That is, if he hasn't eaten his home by then." Ru could imagine seeing half a castle rather than a whole one... If he had a home made of sweets the temptation to eat them would be too much for him to handle. "You ever thought about what you want after you die?" Ru himself hasn't. He doesn't believe he will get the luxury of another life, but he was curious to know if Kaku had anything, maybe he could make certain aspects happen... If they were a little more normal than Itamu's.

Kakushin giggled, pressing back against Rurushu. Itamu, as they were always learning, had a mind free of everything. He didn't see the ridiculous as something immature, but something bold and fun. Life was so much better when nothing was considered silly or impossible in Itamu's eyes. Kaku took a deep breath, thinking of death made him less comfortable, especially picturing the idea of losing someone else so close to him. The collateral damage received when Itamu died was enough, if Ru left as well, Kaku didn't know if he could hold onto hope after that. Kaku hummed. "What I want? A long nap, around the people I care about, so that I can sleep peacefully and happy." Kakushin replied calmly, eyes closing. Yes, the dream of floating above this world, sleeping around all he cared about as they could talk and relax, sleep in peace that their hardships were finally over. Kaku never slept all that well when alone, or when his mind was thinking on things, but the idea of having no worries at long last was something to look forward to. The Angel glanced back to Rurushu, "What about you?"

Ru couldn't keep he smile off his face at hearing what Kaku wanted. It was so simple, and yet so amazingly brilliant... Something Ru knew he could help with, but not to the full extent he so wished. "Well, I cant give all the people you care about... But I'll be sure to make sure you get a good, peaceful sleep these next few days." Ru wasn't sure how to answer, as he said, he didn't believe he would get the privilege of another life... His current one was set in stone already, and he had done too much to earn such a luxury. But he knew what he wanted, if it was allowed. "I want to finally be free." He wanted to be free of duties, free of worry, free of having to please everyone... He just wanted to be himself, not someone behind a mask, not someone his past created in place of the real Rurushu. Just Free.

Kakushin turned himself around, locking his hands together behind Rurushu's neck and leaning on the Demons head. He didn't know if Ru could get him to sleep. Kaku was tired sure, but he was used to always being tired these days. And he didn't want to miss a wink of these few days, they were too important to properly sleep through them. So Ru could try to make Kakushin sleep, but even under the heavy moon, Kaku didn't want to sleep unless it was forced naturally upon him. Ru's wish made Kaku surprised. He'd never thought about it fully, what kind of constriction it must be to co-lead an organisation hell-bent on the Angel race's destruction, as well as falling for one of those he was supposed to be killing. It made Kaku... determined. Determined to prove that one day Rurushu could be free, and not once his life was over. Kakushin leaned forward into a kiss, "Freedom is something you can find, you don't have to be gone to finally have it. And I want to be there the day you finally feel free, Aura knows one day I want to find it too."

Ru was touched by Kaku's attempt to get him to believe he could find freedom in this life.. But Ru knew, a fact moulded into his very core, that he would not. Killing without mercy; Co-leading an organisation set out to destroy life as we know it; falling in love with someone pure and kind, tainting them with is very presence... Like Rurushu would be able to find freedom. Ru returned the kiss, only half heartedly compared to normal, his mind on other things. "I may be able to find that freedom, hell I know where and how to get it. But its not as simple as just finding it... There's too many obstacles and tests on the path, many in which I have failed." Ru closed his eyes and sighed, before picking himself back up again, smiling brightly towards Kaku. "But here with you, I admit, I can taste that freedom, if only for a few days."

Kaku dropped his eyes. Freedom wasn't easy to find, for a Guardian like him, it was impossible. But the chains holding Kakushin back weren't near as harsh as Ru's. Kaku had the chance to be free, Rurushu would find it hard to find that chance. It didn't seem fair, and Kakushin naturally didn't want his love to see it that way forever. The dropped Demon soon lit back up, and Kakushin smiled in return. "It's what I'm here for, don't forget that I owe you for everything your doing for me today." Kakushin replied with a grin. He let out a sigh, gripping Rurushu into a hug before moving off towards the temple. He had a spot picked out just before the few steps leading up to the building, and knelt down by it to gather the stones together. He smiled over to Ru. "No one has ever done anything like this for me, and I promise on my life, that in your lifetime I'll help you find freedom."

Ru returned the hug and smiled. He had to admit, as long as he had Kaku, then he didn't really need full freedom, he had everything right here in front of him, and at the end of the day, that meant more to the Outlaw then anything else he could every get. "You don't owe me anything... I owe you. Being here, knowing you accept me for all I am... Demon, Outlaw... All of it... Means the world to me, and for that, I owe you everything." And that was the truth, Ru never felt so alive and when he was with Kaku... He could forget everything and just be himself, and that was why he could taste freedom here with Kaku... Or with Kaku in general. Kneeling down next to his love, Ru smiled to him. "You've already done more for me then you will ever realise... I don't need you to make such promises... Just having you with me is enough."

Kakushin smiled, he always felt as if he owed those around him. Anything nice done for him, and Kakushin turned eternally grateful to the person responsible. He was nicer than he gave himself credit for, the constant idea that Kaku needed to help others and thank them for the simplest things was something he gained after losing Itamu. The Angel was truly the kindest soul, there was no request that Itamu thought was impossible, and he sought to create a world where everyone could feel the need to owe favours to one another and follow them through. Itamu thought even the smallest spark of kindness was as powerful as the twinkling stars of night, so beautiful and important. Kakushin didn't remember his friends wish at first, when Itamu first died all Kaku wanted was revenge. But he realized, as people were beaten to the ground out of revenge, that he would be shaming Itamu's sacrifice if he didn't carry on the Angels work. So even if Rurushu didn't want Kaku to owe him anything, Kakushin naturally felt as if he did. "See, that's exactly the same reason I owe you as well. The one person in this strange world that I managed to fall in love with, Rurushu. Not Rurushu the Demon or Rurushu the Outlaw, just Rurushu." Kakushin leaned against Ru as he knelt down next to him, wrapping an arm over the Demon's back. "Angels are known for promises, for me, a promise is a way of making a vow, confessing to stick by someone, no matter what."

Rurushu leaned into Kaku and smiled, before pulling the other into a passionate kiss. He could easily stay like this forever. "I know Demons aren't known for keeping promises... But I am not one to lie, so when I say I promise to make sure you always remain safe and happy.. Know im not lying, and do actually promise that, no matter what it costs me." Bringing in Kaku for another passionate kiss, and wrapping both arms around the other tight, Ru knew that out of all the promises he has ever made, this would be the one he cherished the most. Eventually breaking the kiss, much to his disappointment, even if they had to breathe, Ru looked towards the stones... "Shall we finish this memorial... We have plenty of time to do other things later on."
