Yume stumbled back from the elbow, the shock of him managing that despite her hold being the only reason why, considering she barely felt the pain. But she could tell there was something that suddenly had her fight distracted, and she was too proud to hit him when the fight wasn't both sides. Looking over at Gensho, Yume's eyes widened a fraction at the sight, merely due to how many dead and injured, rather then the man disappearing before their eyes, after all, she has seen it before, helped cause it every other time. In a blink and the ringing of the gun sounded, Yume was looking down as Gensho attacked Marzzi, before mumbling something, sniffing and gone in another blink. Growling slightly over how she let him lose control like that, Yume looked down to Marzzi and smirked. "Looks like this is your lucky day." She wasn't going to carry on fighting him when he's in this state, and while Gensho was on a blood thirsty rampage, instead, Yume gave one hard kick to the groin, before rushing after Gensho, use to his speed and the signs of how to find him, she just hoped it wasn't too later as to save him from himself.

There was no indication for Gensho that he was losing control. It wasn't a gradual thing, and Gensho hadn't done anything in his fights to trigger his loss. But, one moment, he was blocking the sword of one of the Saints with his own, and the next, Gensho had dropped his sword, dodged the attack and bitten a chunk out of the orange haired Saint, shoving him away before turning to the others. Gensho's mind shattered instantly, the calling for blood and for souls appeared so suddenly his mind didn't even have the chance to fight it. Because in reality, Kyuban's couldn't control their urges, they were beings of evil made for one purpose. Gensho's eyes were emotionless, cutting down the other Saints like crop from a field, killing some, leaving some in pain, with Kyuban poison running through their veins that would soon control them. He wanted souls, but none of these weak Humans had what Gensho's desire called for. He took one soul, feeling no relief from it, before hearing a bullet charge towards him. Gensho easily took down the shooter, wounding him before leaving the scene. He couldn't locate any souls close by, ones that met his ask. Perhaps the kind of power Gensho was after was impossible to find, but in his blood, the Kyuban knew there was one source of great power somewhere. And in his mind, the Kyuban knew it was up. He'd vanished from the scene, using his Demon wings to carry him up to Dranar, a home to Gensho, but a target for the Kyuban possessing him. Up in the land of red rock, there were fields of souls, Demons all looking for rest from war, but Gensho ignored them, landing and rushing after one target in particular. Now he'd landed, he could smell it, that sweet smell of a powerful soul. Gensho ran desperately, his hat being left behind and everyone around him being moved aside if they tried to interact. He didn't care, nor think, that he was leaving a clear trail behind him for others to follow. But Gensho didn't even have anyone else on his mind other than his objective to take the soul he could sense. It had led him to a mansion, rebuilt and heavily guarded. But no amount of guards stopped the Kyuban, what Demons that were there to protect something precious nearby were soon knocked out or slaughtered. And soon enough nothing was in Gensho's way. His now crimson claws dug around at the ground, trying to find an entrance to the place he needed to go, before locating a small opening, made hidden to all but those with the aptitude or determination to find it. Gensho ran inside, into the large, silent room. Even if his mindset was empty of emotion and full of aggression and hunger, even Gensho was taken back by the sight. The golden crystal, stretching out from the ground in numerous spikes attached to one larger stone, like the trunk of a tree. And it was glorious also in the power radiating from it, the delicious soul that rested inside that was far greater than anything Gensho had ever seen before. His mind didn't let him think, or remember who it belong to, the Kyuban could only care to destroy it as soon as possible and consume that immense power. But before he could get closer, a few steps forward, and Gensho heard someone behind him. He turned, red eyes glaring at someone he couldn't recognise, not his Kyuban side. Her appearance brought a vague moment of sanity from Gensho, enough for him to stand his ground and not immediately attack, and he was also tempted to ignore the Angel completely, and continue on his goal.

It wasn't hard to follow Gensho, he left quite the trail, but even then a sense of dread filled her body, wings following even if she didn't know where she was going. Scooping up his hat as she sped past everyone, Yume was quick to meet the mansion, growling at the weak guards as she barked out to them. "WHICH WAY DID HE GO?" Many in pain and fear of Yume, were quick to point where Gensho went, coming to an empty room, she almost believed they were fucking her over and lying, if the slight gap wasn't noticeable to her. Following down quickly, hat forgotten in the room, Yume let her presence be known in noise, eyes studying Gensho as he turned. She noticed the brief flash of recognition in his eyes, and knew Gensho was still in there, even if the monster was currently winning the battle, and at the look of the large crystal, Yume could only assume this was the reason why Gensho wasn't fighting back right now. She didn't know what the crystal was, but she knew it couldn't be destroyed, Akvan had too many nightmares involving that little scenario, and it why wasn't something she wanted to find out. "Hey there Gensho, nice little blood bath you left, but I need you to snap out of it now, you've had your fun." Yume didn't know what to say, he had never lost himself this far, and all the others she encountered like this, she just killed, but she didn't even ant to fight Gensho right now, which left very few options.

The Angel used words. They wouldn't get a reaction from a Kyuban, and yet Gensho seemed to listen to them. He didn't think on them, only listen and then choose to ignore. The Angel was probably here to fight him. But the Kyuban didn't want to fight her, he assumed his attention was too drawn towards the crystal, ignorant of his own internal fight. He tried moving away, turning his head to pay Yume no attention. The crystal was huge, and Gensho knew breaking any of the smaller parts wouldn't cause the whole thing to break. So he'd need to hit the trunk piece, which meant he needed to get close. The Kyuban glanced back to Yume, knowing she'd probably interfere if he got closer. "Stay away." He growled, lifting his claws just in case, before backing his way towards the crystal. He'd not avoid a fight, if the Angel brought one. He'd just have to kill her like the others, it should be easily done for Gensho now. He was already showing signs of becoming stronger, evolved, from all he'd consumed so far. A fight against him now wouldn't be any easy conflict. He was half tempted to just cut down the Angel now, and avoid her attack him first. But something kept him still, keeping Gensho from making the first move. Like, a reason for not wanting to kill this pestering Angel.

Yume knew this would end in a fight. Gensho set on taking the crystal, and even if he was ignoring her for now, he wouldn't later, and Yume had no intention of leaving him here, it was the cruel reality she was faced with, one she never expected. Smiling sadly to herself, a stupid and pointless emotion, but one she had no strength to hold off right now, be it rom failing a duty, or because dare she say it? She has come to, tolerate, Gensho, she didn't know. Shaking herself out of it as Gensho turned back, Yume dropped the whip so the tip hit the floor, before taking deliberate steps to Gensho. "You and I both know I cannot do that, you want that crystal, you will have to fight me for it." There was no doubt Gensho was stronger right now, after the amount of souls he consumed, but she could deal with that easily. Her only concern being his Night Magic, if the Kyuban was able to harness it, that would put her in a terrible spot. Taking a deep breath, Yume moved forward quick, that to make even a Kyuban fear, if only due to shock from the attempt, as she struck his side, adding the barrier of her between Gensho and the crystal trunk. She would need to keep him back, and she hoped Gensho was enough in there for him to hold back killing her, if he got that far. For now, she would trust her ability to beat him. Spinning the whip around, fire blazing until it created an solid wall of moving fire next to her, Yume set her defencing stance, ready to take the first blow, and wrap her limbs around Gensho to immobilize him, the fire nothing but a distraction.

One thing over Kyuban's was their lack of coordination. They fought feral, having no real plan of attack other than hacking, slashing and biting as much as possible until their target was dead. However, Gensho's hands could feel magic flow under his skin. And the Kyuban was able to comprehend how to use it, like he'd done with his sanity before. He glared to the Angel, her stubbornness irritated the Kyuban, to the point of him growling softly whilst tentatively moving around the crystal. "Then I will... kill you." He replied, understanding the woman's words. It was fight her or have her try and stop him. So Gensho decided the best, quickest way to get the crystal destroyed was to take down this Angel first. Or, if he could immobilise her for long enough, he could strike the crystal whilst knowing she couldn't stop him. His eyes fixed on the Angel, before she moved for him. Gensho's red eyes couldn't keep up, only spotting the fast moving target as she struck his side. The Kyuban growled, skipping back a few feet to escape the shock of the surprise attack. He continued to glare, without needing to blink, before making his own first move. Gensho ran forward to attack, but as he went to move, he set off his Night magic, covering a good few metres around them in pitch darkness. Changing his direction to attack from the side, using his acute sense of smell to guide him, along with the night-vision the Demon's God powers gave him, Gensho attempted to bite into Yume's arm.

Yume let out a growl when the room went dark, the only light source being that of the fire and light glow of the crystal. But it wasn't the darkness that annoyed her, it was the fact this Kyuban could think, could use Gensho's magic, and now she had to figure out a way to deal with both. Knowing that Gensho moved, Yume began to quick move around the room, in an attempt to put of the attacks as best as she could, she had the reflexes for it, having moved just as she felt the Kyuban skim her arm, what was difficult though, was hitting Gensho herself, to get him out of commission. Realising that the only way to win this fight, was to find a way to see, Yume gave another growl, as she reached to her skirt, moving it slightly and taking a bottle she attached to her leg. The bottle was filled with the fuel she used to set fire to things around her home, and that she used in pranks and attacks. Uncapping the bottle, Yume flew around the room, letting it cover as much as the ground she could get, before snapping her whip and letting the place go up in flames. It wasn't the greatest light source, but she could easily see Gensho's shadow moving around, and she hoped the flames would put off his sense of smell, so that she could work out faze two of her plan. Creating illusions of herself, Yume spread them around the room, as long as she didn't make quick movements herself, she hoped the others would distract Gensho enough to make her way behind him.

Gensho's teeth hit nothing, the Angel just escaping him and running away. Gensho made sure his Night magic expanded further around the room to try and make it impossible to escape. He did believe that was what Yume was aiming for, to get away from the darkness. The Kyuban didn't think she'd combat it, so he was stuck in place as the oil dropped down, making his sense of smell go off, and then the room was lit with flames. They didn't reach up far, but it was enough to annoy the Kyuban. Gensho took his own evasive tactic, rushing around the room to keep away from the flames and Yume's gaze as he thought of a way to get to her now that he'd lost sight, and scent of her location. He stopped when the Angel appeared in front of him. Or, an illusion of the Angel. Gensho saw through it easily, the body held no soul or spiritual energy, so the Kyuban was aware it was fake. They didn't make Gensho attack them, but as he ran around the room, Gensho became more and more agitated by the soulless bodies. They tried attacking him, but as illusions they could do nothing to him. So Gensho, in anger, ignored them. Though they made him thirst for a real soul, rather than striking at the dull illusions hopelessly. Then the Kyuban realised it was his opportunity. If he couldn't find Yume, it meant she wasn't close by. So the Kyuban turned his head to the centre crystal, making a run towards it hoping his enemy wasn't using the confusion around him as a means to hide and strike.

If the situation was different, Yume would have been out right laughing at the anger and confusion Gensho held over her illusions. She knew he wouldn't believe them real, she had tried this tactic the first Kyuban she fought against, and realised they did nothing to hinder them, but cause annoyance, and with what she had planned. That's exactly what she wanted. Creeping through the room so that she was by the crystal, it was only a matter of time before he would go after it, giving up on trying to find her, and it that moment, would be when she strikes. Taking out a small dagger she had hidden for emergencies, Yume got in position to pounce as Gensho appeared, taking a breath, Yume moved quicker then she ever did before, getting the Kyuban in a strong hold. Arms behind his back pinned by one of hers, legs trapped together, knees tightly locked by Yume, and knife digging into the side of his neck, drawing a little blood. It would be so simple as to cut now, draw enough blood to hinder him paralysed as she cut out his heart, but she froze, unable to make that cut... Stupidly coming to have cared for the other, and she couldn't lose him, not like this by her own hands.

The illusions had herded Gensho towards the crystal, and it was too late for the Kyuban to realise it. His claws had been inches from breaking into the crystal, but the Angel was hiding in wait. The real one, and she dragged Gensho back, quickly pinning him from all mobility. Gensho struggled furiously, growling and snapping his teeth around to try and grab onto some sort of flesh around him. He was a trapped, wild animal under Yume's mercy now, though the Kyuban refused to stay still, trying to think of a way to get out of this grip. The Angel was just strong enough to hold him, proven as Gensho could still move his arms so slightly trying to get loose. It was all he could do though, Yume had him completely tangled up. She had all the time to take him out, Gensho's red eyes watching the knife drop to his neck, expecting to loose his breathing. But she hesitated, losing her own will to move for some reason. The Kyuban couldn't understand her reluctance to kill, but it gave him time to think of a way out. He felt the movement of his red cape, realising why it felt so strange, and remembering one of this body's magic's he'd not yet used. Gensho caused the cape to return into wings, and used the sudden strong, bat-like wings to shove upwards violently. It was enough to force the frozen Angel off of him, opening Gensho's opportunity to get to the soul up again. His hand swung back, that small moment of sanity, feeling shame and distress for what was about to happen. Whilst the hungry, evil and demanding side of Gensho looked longingly to the crystal, finally relieved as the goal was achieved. Gensho's claw struck the crystal, and almost his whole hand sunk into it. The moment he started absorbing the golden soul inside, the whole thing began to turn white. Gensho didn't feel much change, he didn't feel his hunger go down or power increase. The soul was simply passing through him directly to his master, he was just the one sending it. Near the end of the soul-eating, the crystal collapsed, breaking into dust and small colourless rocks all around the room. And Gensho also collapsed, the Kyuban side of him resting once more after the job was complete, and his body was allowed to feel that exhaustion from this whole event.

The hesitation Yume had was enough time to let Gensho react, and as the force of his wings hit, and Yume went crashing to the floor, she could think of nothing but the hatred she had for herself for feeling this deep. The hate she had for hesitating, she wasn't mad that she failed to protect this crystal, having no idea what it really was, but she was mad that she watched as Gensho absorbed the colour within, while just laid motionless on the ground in shame. Yume wouldn't forget this for a while, if ever, and she knew that once Gensho came back to his senses, neither would he. She closed her eyes as Gensho collapsed not far from her, she refused to hold out her hand in any comfort, instead choosing to just lay there and let her body rest, and mind simmer down from the events, she would need her strength for the rest of the war, and if she let herself break down here because of her stupid choice of caring, then she would never forgive herself. Soon she will get up and drag the Fucktard back home, beat him to a pulp for letting himself lose his mind so badly, before she spent a week punishing herself with hard labour for failing, but for now, she would sleep, and ignore the world around her, probably better that way. For now.
