Ikiru had his perfect chance, and Mitasu couldn't defend herself from it. His claws, however, didn't meet their target. The Demoness used her last bit of energy to dodge that, but nothing could save her from the Kyuban's kicks, and bite to her arm. He was ready to latch on and refuse to let her leave, but the witch cheated out of this fight, deciding to cowardly disappear right before Ikiru. With her body and soul disappearing, the Kyuban was just angrily clawing at the air until all traces of Mitasu had disappeared. Of course Ikiru was by no means interested in the sudden and subtle flash of a different location, instead his hunger for souls drove his head to turn around once more. Whatever Hisan said now, wouldn't be able to stop the Kyuban. He'd missed his chance at a real soul too many times now, and he was in dire need to quench his desire right now. But, as Ikiru took a few steps, the Kyuban felt a serge of pain enter his head. Something was forcing the Kyuban blood to rest once more, and Ikiru's body began to fight it. Crying out with a broken scream, the Kyuban collapsed to the floor, feeling sanity reappear as his body gave up. "N...no! S-stop! I-I need to... need to eat! Please!" The Kyuban spat, his voice so dry and beastly, much unlike his usual voice. He began trying to drag himself towards Hisan, refusing to let the Angel of Dreams take away his chance at feasting, but that chance was gradually dissolving no matter how hard Ikiru tried.

Hisan watched with wide eyes as Mitasu disappeared, not expecting her to do that, the Demon seeming to proud to admit defeat. But he guessed it was the Kyuban side of Ikiru she was running from, very few having the strength and speed to keep up with them. And as he watched Ikiru and the Kyuban fight back for control, knowing Yume must be doing what she could to help. Hisan knew he already did it in for himself over what he said, might as well finish what he started, bringing Ikiru, and the Kyuban into what could be considered a hug, Hisan held tight and made sure to keep the Kyuban from eating... He offered Ikiru that, not the monster. "Hey Ikiru, hear me? Need to help Yume take back control yeah? Mitasu is gone, just me left... Don't make me hurt you..." Hisan knew if Ikiru couldn't take back control then Yume would probably take him out the dream, seeing how they had no need to be here anymore, but he also guessed Ikiru would have to wait until he was back to normal, and Hisan didn't exactly want to leave him alone like this. "Come on Ikiru..."

It was a good thing that Ikiru was losing control here, at least the evil Kyuban part was. The sane Ikiru was coming back, and the rest of him wasn't happy about it. The process was painful, like showing a starving, almost dead man the greatest feast in the world and then destroying it in front of him. Pain ruptured from his stomach, keeping the Kyuban in place as he was forced back into a sane condition. Crawling could no longer work, as Ikiru couldn't move, so he'd just have to wait out this pain until his blood calmed down. It would happen eventually on it's own, as Yume forced Ikiru back in control, but Hisan decided to help as well. At this point, Ikiru was of mind enough to know what was going on, despite struggling for a few seconds in Hisan's grip, the Angel calmed down. He felt warm, eyes blinking as it suddenly hit Ikiru that Hisan was keeping him still, in a hug of all things. Ikiru's breathing slowed down, almost to a point where it stopped. But then Ikiru's eyes changed back to blue, and the Angel managed to smile. "I.. I hear you, Hissy." He muttered. It seemed like enough control was back in Ikiru's hands now, enough for him to feel himself falling out of the world and back to the real one, where his precious staff lay in wait to keep Ikiru from having a living nightmare like the one experienced here.
