Jasper's chest felt empty, his heart was so thinned out that paper had more strength than him. He was truly exhausted, and the worst part was his exhaustion was something that would never go away now. The constant, suffocating feeling would never leave, not until Jasper died. Five curses, five strong curses Jasper had now running in his blood and carved into his body. The boy could still remember the nightmare of a few back. He regretted storming up to the council now, but at the time Jasper had been both brave enough and furious enough to try and argue with them. Behind his back, the other Saints had massacred the entire Angel race, leaving nothing but dust in their wake, and a few Angels to survive and suffer. Jasper couldn't bare to see his comrades right now, knowing that they'd not hesitated to cut down innocents, children, anything that breathed, and that they'd enjoyed it. When he'd seen what they'd done, Jasper had stormed towards the council, begging them to revoke his leadership to the Saints. But, they did the opposite. Jasper was appointed head captain of all offensive Human forces. Confused, Jasper wasn't given a chance to argue, as the council all had him unknowingly chained up like a dog. They'd pressured Jasper into submission, reminding him of the faces he cared about most, and how easily they could be cut out of existence. The leader had hoped to leave in fear simply of their threats, but no. Jasper wasn't allowed to go, until he'd placed more curses on himself to make him stronger.
The council had said, that they needed a weapon for Humanity to hold, not just a leader to stand at the front of their armies. Jasper thought of what they'd do if he refused, and so gave in, placing the extra curses on himself. The first one was Cornubit, a curse that gave Jasper wings, formed of magic but with a likeness to Angels. And the second, which almost made Jasper pass out after the life was sucked out of him, Constabit was one that gave Jasper invisibility, amongst other things. Jasper didn't care about his new power, only how much his heart hurt, how everything hurt. And how, for the rest of his hashed up life, it would always hurt. The leash was around his neck now, and until the council pulled on it, Jasper was allowed to roam Sohul in his internal suffering. There was only one place Jasper wanted to be, where he longed to be, whilst the council were keeping him locked up. Jasper stumbled into Minato, straight up to the house he knew now as a safe place, a happy place. He dreaded to see what it was like now with Aura destroyed and everyone in doubt and fear. But Jasper just needed rest, and he just hoped Nanari would still be there to accept him. Jasper reached the door, almost falling against it as he tried knocking.
Note: Jasper's new curses Cornubit: Shaped like oozy black wings on Jasper's back, and can grow outwards to form actual wings when used. Constabit: Silvery white rings and patterns around Jasper's eyes that only appear when in use, allows him to turn invisible, and give him much advanced eyesight, (eg, zoom vision).

Things had turned into a total mess since the attack on Aura. Leaving many scathed and hurt, in all different forms, Hane for a start, his condition, and the effect its having on Tenshi keeping him alive will every ounce of her magic, her being near or far. And Nanari could only imagine what state the others were in with no home and dead friends, let alone Kaku, who was probably taking it harder then anyone, not just his race was almost wiped out, but his kids, her niece and nephew missing... And they knew exactly who, Nanari wasn't happy, but she promised herself not to allow her two lives to clash in such a way, no matter how difficult it was. Nanari had just finished attending to Hane when she heard something hit her door, a slight muffle but ones she's learnt to hear over the years, getting Burea and Tulus to look over Hane, and warn her of anything changing, she was quick to head down to the door, admittedly worried about who or what was on the other side... If it was extreme Angel Hunters to finish Hane off, then she had no way to defend him. But Jasper in his condition was the last thing she expected right now, and a small gasp escaped her lips. Helping him into the room and onto the sofa, Nanari went and got a glass of water and wet towel, before tending to her adoptive son. "What happened? You look like the wars..." Nanari bottled up the hate she had for what the Saints did, now was not the time, even if she intended to get answers, and to try and stop things before they got worse.

Jasper's eyes were closed, leaning against the door-frame as he tried to focus on breathing. He got dizzy, every now and then, when he didn't take proper breaths, among the other things dragging the boy down right now. He heard the soft footsteps inside, lifting his eyelids slightly and pushing himself to stand as Nanari opened the door. Jasper had to stumble a little to make sure he didn't just fall forwards and flat into the house, holding on the inside of the door frame now. He flinched when Nanari tried to help him move, "No, careful!" The Saint quickly said, letting his mother lead him only for a moment before making sure his burning curse couldn't burn too badly. Jasper slumped back down onto the sofa, the softness that met him felt like a cloud compared to what Jasper had to deal with when under the council's 'care'. Sighing, Jasper continued to breath heavily, almost to the point of wheezing. The temptation to just sleep right at that moment was strong, but Jasper kept his forest green eyes open, watching out for Nanari as she returned with a damp piece of cloth. He silently, and carefully took it from her, knowing the towel probably wouldn't last long if any but Jasper applied it. A question reached Jasper's ears next, and he winced a little. Nanari's simple question brought back the memories of what Jasper had to go through, it took a lot of effort to stop himself just breaking down into shudders. "I... I was... persuaded by the council, to place more curses on myself... two more." Jasper admitted, knowing beforehand that this wouldn't please his mother. She knew the cost of personal curses, and all about Jasper's cruel magic when he'd explained it before to her.
Jasper waited for whatever ear-ache Nanari planned on giving him, before knowing he needed to say something to hopefully cut through the tense atmosphere. "I... didn't order them to do it." Jasper muttered. "The others, what they did was behind my back, and against my orders. The council, and a new Saint came up with the idea. They all... seem to believe that Angels and Demons were behind the nightmares, and are using it for a means to attack... to murder innocents." Jasper said, a spike in his voice as he ended, thinking about the horrible sight of the destruction above. The laughter of those Jasper thought he knew as they came back on the airship. "N.. Nanari, I'm so sorry... I should have tried harder to stop them."

Nanari's eyes darkened when hearing what happened to Jasper, and she had half a mind to head over to the council right now and give them a piece of her mind. Hell, she knew many. many people from her career as a Healer, saved many, she was sure she could get them on her side as well. But it didn't sound as if he was 'persuaded' more like forced, and that is what was worst about this situation. "STUPID FREAKING COUNCIL. THEY ONLY THINK ABOUT THEMSELVES." Nanari was angry, oh so very angry. She could feel her blood boil at the thought alone, it was always them... New council member couldn't come soon enough she thinks. Calming down, Nanari went and got another cloth ready, before going to sit next to Jasper on the sofa, looking to him with a sad smile as he spoke next... Explaining exactly what she wanted to know. It was a lot to take in, but she could trust Jasper on this, hear how sorry he was over what happened... Taking a breath, Nanari used up what magic she had left to hold protection over most of her body while she brought Jasper into a quick hug, though it wore her out, she knew he needed it right now. "I believe you... I'm so, so mad at them, you have to understand that. Doesn't surprize me with the council thought, their just a bunch of spoilt apes with sticks up their behinds, and the Saints who helped defeat Mitasu should have known better. And with a new Saint... It probably couldn't have been avoided, I can see you didn't want it." Nanari only hoped that Kaku and Ru would be as understanding. Ru more likely then Kaku. "If you want to help now though, I need to know, do they have my niece and nephew? And do you know of their next move? The Angel race is almost extinct, and I fear this is going to get so much worse before it gets better, I need to try and stop it."

Nanari's sudden yelling came as a shock, but Jasper was glad it wasn't directed at him. He tried to chuckle a little, but his breath was caught as pain rippled across the boy's chest. Wincing a little, Jasper leaned forward, a hand pinned down over his chest until the pain subsided. He took a few careful breaths. "They wanted a weapon, one stronger for the fights to come, that's what they turned me into." Jasper mumbled, sighing loudly. He glanced towards the glass of water, taking it gently in a hand and drinking in short sips. He swallowed as Nanari gave him the quick hug, flinching from it, but soon to relax. Jasper's eyes watered gratefully, feeling that small bit of relief his adopted mother always seemed to give him. He smiled a little at her description of the council, finding it amusingly accurate, before the smile faded. "Somehow, I don't think any of it was avoidable. Not only did they refuse to listen to me, but... all those in the discussion before the attack, they seemed, I don't know... distant. Like they were already there, committing the horrible sins, even before deciding upon it." Jasper commented, pausing to drink a little more. He went quiet, and a little distant himself when Nanari suggested how he could help now. He chuckled bitterly, "Yeah... I know all of it. Because, the council promoted me to the leader of Humanity's army." Jasper replied, the distaste clear in his tone. Against his own will, he was in charge of the army, and of Human's strategies and next moves. Jasper wished he could ask for more forgiveness, for taking such a place under these circumstances, but he couldn't push the luck he already didn't deserve. Jasper couldn't meet Nanari's gaze as he answered her finally. "They... We, have the two children. It was an idea the others had, to enforce the Kings to declare war... if the attack on Aura didn't already insure that. Whatever the Saints have planned personally, I don't know, but the council gave me my instructions... With the Angel race so crippled, their King will be vulnerable, and easy to sway towards wanting war. They- We, where surprised he hadn't already announced it. But it just means we can move to the next plan. The children will be used to force the Kings to declare war, and after that..." Jasper had to stop, knowing the next part of the plan was something Nanari couldn't hear. Jasper couldn't, as much as he wanted to, tell her that the next part of the plan was to take down the Demon King.

It didn't surprise Nanari in the slightest that the Council had this already planned out, it was just like them, like their twisted minds... Their thrive for power. It sickened Nanari just thinking about what they would do for that, make Jasper go through this when it was obvious how it effected him, just for a weapon. "Doesn't surprise me, the Council only ever wanted power, taking any means to get it, even using you... But there's something more here though, you wouldn't have let this happen to yourself unless other forces were in play... Please tell me what more they have done." If Nanari was going to have any hope keeping others on the side of the races, then she needed to know all she could, start to finish... She was weak, but had much influence in the world, for now anyway. Hearing they also made Jasper the Army's leader made things worse, anger really was reigning supreme right now, and from her, that was saying something. The Council really would hear an earful from her, be damned the consequences. At least she knew Jasper would do all he could to help, it was evident he didn't want to do any of this. Hearing the plan though, made Nanari sink into the sofa in shock, and yet no surprise was there, at least the assumption on her niece and nephew was correct... And Jasper didn't need to finish to know what was to happen next. "Once the Angel race is made extinct, you'll focus on taking down the Demon race until Humans are the only ones left... Course." Typical, but at least they knew for sure. "Can I ask a favour from you? Keep my niece and nephew alive, make sure they aren't killed... Kaku... Kaku is probably in a bad state right now, and to find the possibility of his kids being hurt... Please Jasper?"

Jasper's lips sealed when Nanari grew curious. It was obvious that Jasper was a little more than just persuaded to add the curses, but he couldn't tell her what. If Nanari knew she was the one the council were blackmailing Jasper with, then she'd only ignite the situation to become even worse. It wouldn't be her intention, but Jasper knew the council would just make things worse if Nanari knew she was being used as bait. So the boy shook his head, wincing not out of pain, but the distaste of not being able to tell his adopted mother these things. There weren't supposed to be secrets against her at all, but that was wishful thinking really. "I... can't tell you." Jasper eventually muttered, "You know that I would, if... if I could." His lip rose a little to the side. Nanari was smart, so of course she'd know where the plans were heading. Well, she seemed to have an idea. Humans were working a little more on the details than simply wiping out the races. It was about more than just killing them off with fire-fights and explosions. In fact, the council, along with some helpful members of the Saints had conducted a plan that might just decrease Human casualties. It involved provoking the two sky races to repeat their old history, and turn against one another. How exactly they'd do that, beyond taking down the Demon King, Jasper wasn't sure, and the council had neglected to tell him. There was little Jasper could answer to, which agitated him, but he did react to Nanari asking him a favour at least. The leader sighed, perhaps not the best start, before nodding. "Of course, I'll try my best. It requires me to first make sure the Saints know I'm still in charge, which may take a while, but I'll do my best to make sure they're kept safe, if they must remain captured, I'll make sure it's not too horrible for them." He replied. "I never wanted to capture the children, if I could, I'd return them... but..." Jasper faded off. He couldn't return them, because that would be considered treason, and to punish Jasper, they'd hurt Nanari. So he couldn't, not yet, and he didn't know when he ever could. Jasper sighed again, before making a move to get up. "I want to stay here, but... If I dawdle, then things will get worse." Jasper stated, feeling a little dizzy as he stood. The pain spike in his chest distracted him for a moment until he caught his breath, and when he did, there was a new voice in the room. "How... How dare you come here, murderer." The voice made Jasper freeze, as he could recognise the voice of the Angel King easily now. Kakushin stood in the door, who knew how much he heard, but the deadly glare to his otherwise empty eyes made Jasper believe the King only knew Jasper was a Saint, and Saints were the ones to commit the horrible sin upon his people. Jasper placed a hand over his sword, wanting nothing less than to fight right now, but judging where this would probably go.

Nanari knew Jasper wasn't keeping a secret from her, but generally feared so to speak the actions if she knew, though she could give a pretty solid guess right about now, she wouldn't put anything past the council after all. She still wished he would tell her though. "You can tell me, I'm not so useless that I cant handle the Council you know. But I will respect your decision, just so you know though, the more I know, the better help I can be." She wouldn't pry into it anymore, for his sake, but she hoped one day he could tell her, so she knew for certain why he was willing to go through all of this. Now Nanari knew when the Council was involved there was always the hidden plans that they told no one, this case she expected more then ever, it was as simple as hoping she could figure out exactly what before it was too late. Nanari feared what Jasper was to say over the children, but breathed out in relief when he said he would do what he could, that's all she asked for now, knowing that anything more would cause further problems. "Hey, now I know where they are, and that you will look out for them as best you can, means we can work on getting them out... I think Yume is willing to do that, so apologies if you find your home set on fire a lot..." She went to stop Jasper from getting up, he was in no condition right now to be going anywhere, not until she recovered from magic exhaustion and did what she could to help, but the new voice made her freeze, early assumptions correct... Kaku wasn't pleased right now. Holding out an arm to Jasper, Nanari gave him a look before standing between the two and focusing on Kaku. "Dear brother. Jasper may be leader of the Saints, but not wish this... They went behind his back... He's going to do what he can to help, okay? He's going through hell as well, the Council is to blame for all of this, and a new Saints member from what I've been told. I trust him..."

Kakushin stood frozen at the door, but his hand twitched over his sword. He'd once accepted that Jasper was someone Nanari cared deeply for, and Kakushin had almost considered the boy his nephew, a bit like Rurushu, but there was no possibility of Kakushin seeing himself related to the Saint's leader now. He saw Jasper, and he saw his dying friends, his castle destroyed, all by those who acted under Jasper's command. For a boy of his age to order such a heinous act, made Kakushin a little sick. And the King didn't need to think long on what he believed Jasper was here to do now. Hane was resting in this building, and Nanari was out to help any remaining Angels. Taking both of them out would be easy, for one who'd worked himself into this household like Jasper had. Kakushin was prepared to take action, when Nanari put herself between her adopted son and the King. Kakushin didn't relax, but looked towards Nanari as she seemed to explain the situation. Nothing came from Kakushin as he though over what Nanari said. Jasper might not be to blame then, for the actions upon Shiro. He did seem to have a good heart, from what Kaku had seen before of him. And maybe... maybe if Kakushin's mindset was anything but the miserable state it was now, he'd calm down. Silently, Kakushin drew his sword. "A King is still to blame, when his people are killed, and his kingdom is destroyed. So... A leader should also be to blame, when his men go against his orders." Kakushin stated, a cold glare towards Jasper. The boy seemed taken back, and was in no condition to fight, Kakushin could tell there wasn't an ounce of determination in his young eyes. Jasper gathered his thoughts, before wincing, "You're right... I should be to blame. But, I want to help fix this... somehow." Kakushin chuckled bitterly, "It's a little too late to be thinking about fixing this. Unless you can bring all of my friends back, I don't want your help." He replied, hand gripped tightly around his blade. "You want to help? Then give me my children back." Kakushin added. Jasper went paler, looking down to the floor. "I... can't." The King took a deep breath, his glare only hardened, "What did you say?" He asked. Jasper's expression seemed to become more fearful, and it almost looked as if he was weak enough to start crying. "I can't! I... won't give them back." Jasper's words reached Kakushin's ears, and he was set. Kakushin used his cherished Light speed magic to curve around Nanari, and grab Jasper by the neck, continuing to move until he was slammed against the wall. Kakushin held the boy there only for a moment, before the mysterious pain around his hand roared, and the King was forced to let go as his hand burned badly. Jasper dropped to the ground, gasping for air that his weak lungs desperately needed, whilst Kakushin dealt momentarily with his sudden injury.

Nanari didn't believe this was Kaku right now, not with how cold he was being, even with what happened. he was so different from the guy she met many years ago who gave away a long kept secret just to help a little girl, who thrived for nothing less then piece, who saved her brother from what she guessed to be self destruct. This was a broken and cold man, and Nanari hated how long it took for her to find a voice with all that was said and happened in those few short seconds. "KAKU, THATS ENOUGH!" Nanari hoped he was to listen, because just hearing the two made the Exhaustion she felt even worse, and she needed to be with a level, and awake state for Hane who needed her help just up stairs, though she knew the presence of Kaku would help for now, and give Tenshi, wherever she was a break from magic exhaustion. Rushing to Jaspers side, Nanari gave a harsh glare to Kaku, just this once picking a side. "Hear Jasper out first, your just misunderstanding him right now, the Anger you hold should be for others. And if you cant trust him, then trust me... Jasper's going to do all he can to keep your children safe, so we can find a way to save them, but you need to calm. I know things must be difficult, everyone is suffering right now, we need you in the right frame of mind Kaku, if you want to be of any help."

Kakushin looked at his hand when the pain died down enough. The burn continued to eat away like acid, leaving probably a permanent scar on his left hand. It was just perfect, now that both hands were weakened by Kakushin's enemies. It was like a symbol, that Kakushin was constantly being weakened by others around him, and it made him furious. He didn't want to be weak, not ever again. Kakushin ignored the pain, lowering his hand to prepare his sword-wielding one for attack. But, Nanari was still adamant about stopping this, and protecting her adopted son. The King listened, but there was no patience to his expression at all. "Move out of the way... Nanari." Kakushin said, once she'd said her piece. He didn't want her getting hurt from being made to believe in Jasper. He verbally proved to them that he planned on keeping Kakushin's children away, and captured. "Why, why are you taking his side?" Kakushin asked, for a second his expression turning to a saddened, hurt one, before returning with a glare towards Jasper. "Because of him, and the Saints, everything's lost. And now they're trying to take my family apart. He's... he's using you Nanari. Making his way into this house, into your heart, just to try and make you believe in their way." Kaku stated. "It's you who's misunderstanding him, Nanari. Jasper's made you naive, he's making you... turn against me." The King claimed. His voice was ready to continue to rise, until Kakushin caught Jasper finally get up. The kid had some determination to his eyes, but little else. In fact it looked like he might just pass out from standing. "Stop... talking like that. Nanari's your family too, isn't she?" Jasper wheezed, taking a few steps forward to be in front of Nanari. Kakushin looked from Nanari to Jasper, seeing their eyes just glare into him, it made his hands clench up. The King took a deep breath, almost talking though his teeth as they gritted together. "All of my family has been taken from me, thanks to you.. you Human filth... You should all just die." He muttered, but his words were enough alone to take effect. For a moment, Kakushin couldn't believe he'd said that, called Humans something like that, or suggested they perished. But, that uncontrolled rage unlocked in him soon overshadow his doubt. He took one swift stride forward, and attempted to impale his sword right through Jasper.

Nanari hardened her glare at Kaku, hoping to make him see sense, she could tell he wasn't in his right mind, and right now, she needed him to trust her. "I'm taking his side because your not thinking right and being illogical..." Nanari couldn't continue as Jasper got up and stood between them, protecting her. She knew it was a terrible plan on his behalf, but silently she was both grateful and touched that he was willing to do that. But she wouldn't let him get hurt, not for her sake, and not to Kaku. She saw the move before it was made, the slight gasp made at Kaku's words of hate unfailing her decision, pushing Jasper out the way, arm burning from the touch of skin, but nothing compared to the sting and burning in her shoulder from the impale, she could feel blood trickling down, and knew the sword made it all the way through her shoulder. Grunting in pain, tears dripping down her face from both wounds, Nanari used her strength to move away from the blade and cover her shoulder, not caring for anything but saying her piece. "If... Gah. All, Humans.. Should die. Gah. Then it.. Will. Have to be. Me. First." The pain was unbearable, and Nanari could see black spots clouding her vision, the exhaustion she felt from helping Hane, and use of all her magic making this much worse, she could feel herself slipping, and she could only hope as she collapsed to the floor in pain, was that they wouldn't kill each other.

Kakushin's sword struck, and he thought momentarily it was still Jasper. But when the blur of rage coating Kakushin's vision passed, he stared down at the sword impaling Nanari, with Jasper moved out of the way, a look of equal horror on his face. There was a clang as Kaku drop his sword, simply staring at what he'd done. It was just the right amount of shock to wake Kakushin up, to at least get his unreasonable rage to go away for now. For he'd hurt his family. Not someone else, Kaku had been the one to hurt Nanari, which was the opposite of what his wounded heart wanted right now. Kakushin was unable to move, until Jasper did. The boy looked desperate to help his mother out, but every attempt to hold her or the wound was hesitant, and soon abandoned. "I... I can't stop the bleeding." Jasper admitted, pain in his voice. A little unsteadily, Jasper rose again. "Tulus! Tulus come help!" Jasper called upstairs, soon seeing the friendly blue cat appear, flying down in a rush. Kakushin was still staring in shock, until Jasper stared back at him. "H... hey! Forget what you did for a second and focus on helping Nanari!" Jasper ordered up to the King. Kakushin blinked, and looked up to glare at the boy. He dared to order Kaku about, after everything his kind had done? But with a sharp exhale, Kakushin nodded, eyes glazing over with sadness as he knelt down by Nanari. Tulus brought what he could in terms of medical supplies, and Kakushin carefully placed cloth over the wound after the cat handed it to him. Jasper, after catching his breath, spoke through the stunned silence. "I'm going to get my friend, he's.. a healer." Jasper stated, before turning to go. Things went quite as the boy left, Kakushin almost trembling as he didn't know what to say. And he couldn't dare look at Nanari right now, or be riddled with the guilt of what he did. Finally, Kaku spoke a little, though it was weak and quiet. "I'm so sorry, Nanari I... I don't know what came over me. I..." Kakushin sighed, "I just didn't want to feel weak... anymore. I want to prove that I'm strong... strong enough to keep everyone safe. But... But I didn't want to..." Kakushin cut off, shaking his head a little.

Nanari probably looked to be unconscious right now, the pain too unbearable for her to handle, but she heard all that was happening and was glad the shock allowed a moment for Kaku to forget his rage, maybe this would open his eyes a little. Though she was glad for the quick thinking on Jaspers part, she most certainly couldn't help herself, and Tulus and Burea's medical knowledge only stretched so far, it was taking all her remaining strength not to fall asleep, knowing that might make things worse. After Jasper left for help, Nanari knew it was nothing more then a waiting game right now, she would be fine, but that didn't mean she wouldn't be in pain for that... The worst though was hearing how broken Kaku sounded. Using the strength she could, Nanari moved her right hand and reached for Kaku's, holding his hand as tight as she could, opening her eyes and giving a small smile. "I know. Just... Me and you... Were, having a. Long Chat. When this. Is. Patched... Up." Nanari hoped Kaku would be calm enough from this to allow them to talk about things, so that she may help in whatever way she could. Knowing if something like this happened again, but more critical next time, Kaku really would lose it. "Give, Jasper. A. Chance... For. For my. Sake... Kay?"

A part of Jasper wanted to make the King pay for hurting Nanari. Seeing her in pain, and how much it pained Jasper's soul, made the boy afraid, more afraid of his purpose. If the council held true to their plans if Jasper disobeyed them, then he really would be broken easily. He felt determined to keep Nanari alive, now, and in the future when her life depended on what Jasper did in the predictable war. He left those thought behind for now, focusing on saving his mother for now. He left Kakushin with her, and trusting Tulus to keep the situation calm until Jasper got back. Not that the boy expected the broken King to do anything worse now that he'd been forced to realise how his anger effected others, but just in case. Meanwhile, Jasper got to the door before feeling faint. He wouldn't be able to run all the way to Rycora in this state. Which made him feel a little grateful for one of the new curses. Jasper quickly summoned his black wings, taking off and flying quick. He was in Rycora very soon, landing down outside the Temple. Jasper didn't go in yet, not until he gained his breath back, and his own composure. He'd marched not far into the camp before, unsurprisingly, Marzzi was the first to greet him. The Brute smirked, ready to give Jasper all sorts of grief, but the leader put a hand up. "Say a word Marzzi, and I swear I'll rip that disgusting tongue of yours right out... something I should have done a long time ago." Jasper threatened, something very new to him and Marzzi. The gorilla kept his mouth shut, almost impressed with Jasper's threat, and obliged to go get Baxton when Jasper asked him to. Jasper at least smiled to Baxton, doubting the cook had as much to do with recent events. After explaining things, Jasper carried Baxton back to the house, in a haphazard flight that included Baxton holding onto his cane as Jasper held onto the other end to prevent his friend any pain. The whole mission was short, mere minutes that right now felt like years considering the situation. Getting back inside the house, Jasper rushed back to Nanari's side, with Baxton a little hesitant by his side. Jasper looked from Baxton to Kaku, the latter seemed too out of it to care about the amount of Saints in the house anymore, before nodding to Bax. The cook took a deep breath. "Alrighty then, Nanari, this might hurt... a lot, but it's a sure-fire way of closing the wound up." Baxton stated, before summoning the orange flames around his hands. Jasper's hands were clenched, so desperate to move and help his adopted mother right now, as he was forced to simply watch Baxton help her. He was considerate about the process, and Baxton made sure that even with his burning magic, he caused the minimum amount of pain that he could. That being said, there was no way around him stamping down the flame coated hand on Nanari's open wound.
