Note: Takes place after final fight with Mitasu, after everyone's gone off to rest and such.
Mizetto thought ending Mitasu and the nightmares would put all of his stress at ease. But it just wasn't going to be that way. The Demon was confident to say that he was still upset, frustrated and a little betrayed. Discovering the secrets his family had been keep from him, for reasons unknown or stupid, put Mizetto on edge. He didn't like lies, white lies perhaps could be reasonable, but not the kind that make Mizetto doubt just how well he knew those he cared for. There was no resting for Mizetto until he'd talked to Ari, the Demon had decided. He'd asked Clue and their grandparents to keep Glacie and Terra busy, so that the parents could have this talk alone. It should be obvious that Mizetto was looking for a explanation, he'd walked around with a sour look on since the nightmares were over. And so, sitting in silence until now, Mizetto finally got up, and walked over to where Ari was lingering. "Now the nightmares are over, we need to talk." Mizetto stated into the quiet air between them. "I need some explainin', and right now, Ari. About why you thought that keepin' secrets was right, and if there are any others you're not tellin' me."

Ari was exhausted after the fight, but she knew she would get no rest until she and Mizetto had talked. She hoped things weren't going to be too bad, but with him, and the look her had, he didn't think it would be that easy, especially when her parents and Clue left to keep the twins busy. She made sure to linger, trying to hide her exhaustion, waiting for Mizetto to make the first move, and jumping when he finally did. Taking a breath, Ari grabbed his hands and sat him on the sofa nearby, knowing this would be easier sitting down. "First thing you need to know, I'm keeping no secrets from you, never had done. What you discovered from Mitasu... I really, honestly didn't think it was that important, not something that needed sharing, and on top of that, I didn't know how to even bring it up." That being true, how was one to go about telling the other about her human life, when you only heard the stories, rather then the memories. And she really didn't think it all that important, not when she never expected to see Aisu again, let alone in a situation like that. "Seriously Mizetto, if I had thought this to be important, I would have told you. You believe that right?"

Mizetto wanted to have things clean between them. It wasn't in his interest to hold Ari at a distance from now on, not just for his family's sake but for his own. It would break Mizetto to be apart from Ari, deep down he knew that going into this talk. "Just tellin' me would have worked. And it sure sounded like somethin' that needed sharin', considerin' how determined you were to keep him alive. To me, it goes to show how you clearly still care for the guy, even after your Human lives." Mizetto replied, unable to show anger on his face. He wasn't really angry, the hot-head was just like that on the outside a lot. He felt unsure, and like he wasn't trustworthy. Perhaps, like a lot of things to the rather egotistical Demon, this was all about how Mizetto saw his own worth. Ari not sharing secrets with him, to Mizetto that meant he wasn't worthy of them. "I want to." Mizetto replied simply, sighing quietly. "If someone who you planned on holdin' me back from fightin', by any means necessary, isn't important to you, then who is?" The Demon posed as a new question.

Ari felt like crying when listening to Mizetto, realising how badly she mucked up. The solution being as simple as telling him this way back, she understood where he came from with his question, Ari having asked it herself. The answer not easy to explain, not properly anyways, though, for his sake, she damn well was going to try. "I know that now, but I really didn't think it was important, I never envisioned something like this to happen, I never thought I would see or hear of him again, in any form." Taking another breath, Ari looked to Mizetto, giving him a hug, and moving to kiss his cheek. "Its hard to explain, but you must I know, I care for you, just as much, no, more so then anyone else, that including our twins, its just. When I was younger before knowing you, I had very little due to my smarts, all I had was my human life to hear about... My brother who I cared more for then anyone else in that life. I saved him from death, the same he helped now. But he was good, and I felt close to him, a feeling coming over me when looking at him, like we still had that bond of siblings." Ari pondered for a second how to explain from here. "I never spoke to him, and never saw him after his death until that day of the war... I didn't mind anyone fighting him in that place, he was working for the enemy. But that sibling bond was still there, and when he turned up with Mitasu, I couldn't help but protect him, considering he knew nothing of what was happening." Ari didn't know if Mizetto understood where she was coming from, but she hoped he realised it wasn't for no reason. She didn't mean to stop Mizetto from fighting, but she didn't want to see Aisu hurt for something he didn't do, like she would have done with others to an extent. "He isn't important to me, but that feeling is. You, our kids, Clue, my parents, their the important ones."

Mizetto supposed he couldn't judge Ari too harshly. He didn't know anything of his Human life. He could gather from the evidence that he was probably a member of the Iwa clan, due to his hair colour and skill in earth magic. But apart from that, Mizetto never seeked out more about his Human life. He'd not been interest, so he couldn't relate to what her past meant to Ari. After a few more deep breaths, accepting Ari's comforts, Mizetto felt calm enough to judge properly. "I can't blame you for carin' for someone related, that would wrong." Mizetto mumbled, slowly wrapping an arm around Ari in return. "And everyone in our family is the most important thing to me too. That's why I feel like I gotta be the best I can for you, someone who deserves to know secrets like this." Mizetto replied, clearing up some more of his own feelings on the matter. Ari had given a right answer, so Mizetto didn't feel like he could hold much against her anymore. Though he wouldn't forget the feeling of betrayal just yet. It was a wound that needed time to heal up. Mizetto leaned in closer, "I'll keep what you've said in mind, Ari. And try to look over this... but, I can't promise that I won't be suspicious from now on." Mizetto added.

Ari gave a small smile to Mizetto before snuggling into his side and resting her head on his shoulder. She understood what he meant, probably would have thought the same thing if she was in his shoes. "I'm sorry for not telling you, I really didn't think it would matter. But from now on I keep nothing from you, I see now that sometimes my judgement isn't the right one." Looking back up to Mizetto, Ari leant up to give him a proper kiss. "And you are the best, okay? I could give you a thousand reasons why." Ari's mood dropped a little when Mizetto said he would still be suspicious, despite having nothing for him to be suspicious about. But she understood, and couldn't blame him. She just wanted him to be happy, and Ari would do all she could to make sure he was exactly that. "Cant blame you then. And I promise, I'll tell you anything from now on, though, I don't think there's much you don't know. After our first meeting, most of my life was revolved around you..." Ari gave a chuckle realising how true that was, Mizetto had dominated her life since that day, and she wouldn't change a thing about it. "Have you realised how quiet it is without the twins around?"

It made Mizetto smirk a little to realise that Ari for once was wrong. Not so smart all the time. The Demon could accept Ari's resolve. He might have some doubts, but trying to trust her was all Mizetto could continue to do. So long as there were no more bumps like this, the Demon was confident they could just move passed all of this together. Accepting the kiss, Mizetto's lip twisted afterwards, thinking on Ari's words. He tried to be the best, but it wasn't always easy, as far as Mizetto knew, he tried hard to do no wrongs towards his family. He just hoped he could keep it that way. Being hurt by Ari was something Mizetto could get over, but if he did something himself to jeopardize this wonderful family, that would really break the Demon. Mizetto grinned, "That's because I'm the most interestin' guy there is for you, not to mention the two crazy kids we got to steal our lives away." Mizetto replied more merrily now. He hummed in agreement, shifting a little uncomfortably. "Yeah, I kinda don't like it. Doesn't feel the same without screamin' or somethin' breakin'." He commented.

Ari gave a light chuckle, Mizetto wasn't wrong in that respect, despite the friends she had made over the years after Mizetto helped her to mellow so to speak, he had always remained the best, the most interesting, and nothing he did would ever change that. "That is true, guess you do have some brains." Ari gave him a teasing smile. "And I wouldn't trade our kids for anything, though, I admit, it still seems so surreal that they are blood related to us." It was a fact Ari still couldn't get over, and everyday she had to remind herself that they didn't adopt the two, despite how much they looked like them. "I have mixed feelings about them not being her, one side, I agree with you, on the other, its nice to get some time alone with you, after the twins came, we barely had that chance, even before then it was slim due to the parental's and Clue." Ari snuggled closer to prove her point and closed her eyes, sure she was uneased by the silence, before it not being a good thing, but on the other hand, it was nice being able to listen to Mizetto's heartbeat and breath once more. Looking up to Mizetto again, Ari gave a smile, "You know I love you right?"

Mizetto frowned, "What do ya mean, 'guess'. Everyone knows I'm smarter than you tiny." Mizetto replied, and it felt as though he'd not teased Ari in ages. Being parents meant they'd matured, so to speak. Getting the chance to act childish was a rarity these days. Mizetto hummed, agreeing with Ari's point. It did feel weird, the idea that they were the only Angel and Demon parents around with children that were actually theirs. Blood related, beginning that way after their Human lives. It was a privilege, but so much so that Mizetto had trouble believing it from time to time. "It's freaky, yeah. But, just lookin' at them is proof enough that they're ours." Mizetto replied. Parenthood did seem to dull down any chance of having alone time. It was hard enough explaining to Clue what alone time meant when the kids weren't around. Now there were three simple minds to try and reason with, making it almost impossible. The Demon shuffled himself around, taking as much of Ari into his arms as she pulled herself closer. So much proof to show that the Demon really didn't care about the secret anymore. Fact remained he was the luckiest guy around, even if Ari was hiding more from him, Mizetto would never change how much he cared for her. "I do. And of course I love you too, never stopped after all, and there ain't any way to make me stop, either."

It had been far too long since Ari and Mizetto had spent time like this, and she refused to let it pass, without some fun and teasing. It is what got them in this situation in the first place. "Excuse me, I'm certain I'm smarter then you moron, I don't even think a brain could fit in such a tiny body..." Ari gave Mizetto an amused smile and small chuckle, shifting around so that she was facing him. It had been a long time since last teasing Mizetto about his height issue, and it was a much missed feeling. Thinking about their twins, it really was obvious who's they were, didn't stop it from being strange. Snuggling back up to him, smiling as he shifted to bring her more into his arms, Ari couldn't help but think about how far they had come since the first meeting. "Same here, I don't know what I would do without you. I may tease and such, but its all in good jokes, and I never mean to hurt you, if it ever happens." All true, and Ari would tell him everyday if she had to. "You know, we should make most of the missing family, do something ya know? Even if its as simple as baking a cake for when they get back."

Mizetto was far beyond a time of being insulted by Ari's teasing, but he still acted annoyed by them. "You've got ice for brains, missy. Plus a mere inch doesn't make me tiny, and I ain't the smallest one around anymore, you hear? There's two tinier people in this place now." Mizetto replied. His height hadn't come up at a problem for a while now, truth was that he really wasn't the smallest around. He'd not expect his young daughters to grow taller than him yet, or hopefully at all. Which meant as far as height went, Mizetto was third from bottom now, and he could deal with that. Though it sure would be nice to grow above Ari again and have that edge over her. Mizetto chuckled, "After all you put me through as a kid, there's no way words are gonna make me go anywhere." True to his answer, Mizetto pulled Ari closer, pressing a kiss to her lips. Once pulled back, and listened to Ari's idea, Mizetto chuckled. "Don't think I've ever touched a kitchen before, could be amusin'. But yer right, make the most of this quiet time before we forget what quiet time even is anymore."

Ari gave a laugh, glad the earlier talk was behind them. "Yeah, but the twins are almost taller then you pipsqueak. How does it feel almost being smaller then your kids?" It was amusing, sure they were smaller, but not by much considering, and every time Ari looked at the three together, she gave a small chuckle over it. Thinking about all that happened and said when younger, Ari hoped Mizetto was being serious, because she hadn't got any better throughout the years, only stopping briefly after the twins were born. "We'll, I should hope not with any type of harm, considering what happened to get us together in the first place. How is little Mizetto by the way?" That was a day Ari would never forget, and she vowed to mention it more often here on out, Okashi still teased her from the brief description she gave him. Smiling into the kiss, Ari deepened it, wishing it could last a bit longer, as she reluctantly let it end. "That's because your lazy and let me and Okashi do all the work." She knew Mizetto did a lot for her, and didn't mind doing things like the cooking, it was fun to tease him over it though. "But, I guess this quiet time is a good place to start, its not like you can burn the place down with me here." Getting up, Ari dragged him behind her, now excited for the one on one time she missed so dearly.

"They are not! You kiddin' me? Those two are the littlest things around!" Mizetto replied. His kids would never out grow him like that. Sure it did feel like one day they could fit in his hand, the next they were wrapping themselves around his neck, fighting each other for the chance for their dad to pick them up because he could no longer hold both. Mizetto laughed sarcastically, shoving Ari gently. "Hilarious, princess. And I'm sure there's plenty of proof that he ain't dead." Mizetto replied. He chuckled, smirking up to the Angel. "That's because I sure as hell know an Angel's gonna cook better than me. I doubt Clue would even eat my cookin', and he's a really glutton." Mizetto replied. He let Ari pull him up, keeping up with the excited Angel. "You'd be surprised princess, don't make it a challenge to see how much I can mess up in there." Mizetto answered, winking to Ari.

Ari gave an outright laugh at Mizetto's reaction, it being the exact one she wanted. After all these years and he still remained the same kid she fell in love with, and she wouldn't change it for the world, all she needed to do now was get the twins picking on him for the laughs, it would be nice having her own back up for once. Now, there definitely was proof little Mizetto wasn't dead, the twins proof enough, but it was still a way to tease him, and she wasn't going to stop, besides, its not like they have really checked since the twins, as they had no time alone to do so. "Hmm, I would say prove it, but that means indulging you again, and I vowed to only ever do that once. Such a shame." Smirking to Mizetto, Ari went and got what they needed for cake, glancing back to Mizetto after getting each item, smirking as she caught his wink. "But this isn't cooking. Its baking, there's a difference. And just for that babe... I am going to make this a challenge, I'm going to tell you what to do, and every time you muck up, I get to... Hmm what should I say? No, I know, adds a minute onto a back massage..." She had to get something out of getting Mizetto to bake, seeing as he doubted that she wouldn't let the place burn down.

Note: No idea how this thread turned into a baking thread, but I'm just gonna roll with it xD
Mizetto couldn't help but feel flustered over what Ari said. It reminded him of that day they both expressed how they really felt, and everything that followed. Mizetto couldn't say he missed those wilder days, since he wouldn't swap his current family for anything. But, he did miss the indulging, a bit. It could have been heard as a whine, but Mizetto certainly let out a disappointed noise to what Ari said, even knowing she was kidding. He stood back and watch her collect everything, glad he wasn't going to improvising what was used as ingredients. The cake wouldn't be poisonous, just probably inedible. Mizetto folded his hands across his chest, chuckling to the proposition. "Alright, I accept. Though seems to me that this all benefits you a lot, not sure what I'm gettin' out of this physical labour." Mizetto replied, moving over towards the ingredients. "So princess, what's first up?"
